Abstract:
Introduction. Economic expertise is defined as a procedural action that consists in conducting research and providing expert economist on issues, the solution of which requires special knowledge in accounting, finance, analysis, auditing. The obvious relevance of the problem, the incompleteness of theoretical developments in the field of economic expertise and the practical need for scientific substantiation of methods of its conduct, contributing to the identification of negative tendencies and the adoption of appropriate decisions for their elimination, led to the choice of the topic of proposed article. Methods. The following research methods are used in the scientific article: deduction and induction, synthesis and analysis, dialectical, historical and systematic approaches, specific methods. The information base of the scientific article is: legislative and regulatory acts, as well as articles in economic journals, monographs, scientific works of domestic and foreign scientists. Results. The main aspects, tasks, methods of economic expertise, the correct conclusion of the expert-economist on the basis of a certain study of the sources of information provided, as they are a necessary component in the formation of the evidence base of the investigated unlawful act are analyzed in the article. The main problems of theoretical and practical nature are highlighted, as well as the necessary ways of solving them, which are directed to the prospects of development and increase of efficiency of results of both the process of economic examination and the profession of economist, in particular. Discussion. The use of economic expertise as one of the sources of evidence, the detection of economic offenses, is unjustifiably one-sided and limited in nature. Insufficient development of the methodology of expert studies of the reliability of accounting and reporting information significantly narrows the scope of economic expertise, limiting it to meet the needs of judicial investigative bodies. All this leads to the search for alternative ways, identification and implementation of the necessary measures that would contribute to solving problematic issues in the field of forensic accounting. Keywords: economic expertise, expert economist, offense, evidence, methodology, sources of information, accounting.

Abstract:
In this article the economic security of an enterprise is regarded as a tool of the economic security at the macro level. At the present stage, in the era of globalization of all the life processes, there have been value changes in the society, which are caused by an increase in the volume and pace of information exchange. The industrialization and scientific and technological progress are priority directions which significantly contribute to the effective innovative development of economic sectors of the state. However, scientific and technological progress, in addition to a positive impact on human development, has led to certain negative consequences associated with environmental pollution, the restoration of which requires additional environmental costs. One of the ways to ensure the economic security of enterprises is to prepare financial statements which provide substantiation of items of income and expenses. This specification provides an opportunity to track cash flows and prevent potential fraud in terms of theft or misuse of funds. This problem is especially relevant for budgetary or state organizations, whose activities are directly related to the interaction with the environment, since the part of the work of such organizations is carried out within the framework of federal target programs or national projects funded by the federal budget. However, the financial statements have certain imperfections in terms of reflecting the environmental costs incurred by the organization. Namely, entities do not always reflect such costs in their financial statements or in the notes thereto. Such inaccuracies lead to distortion of data in financial statements and create a potential threat to economic security at the micro level, and if the problem is common among most of the organizations, it can cause a potential threat to the national security. Model. The article explores the best ways to reflect environmental costs. Findings. Based on the analysis of modern methods of reflecting environmental costs in financial statements, a classification of the environmental costs has been compiled, the application of which will ensure the economic security of nuclear enterprises. Practical value. The conclusions made in the article, are leading to an understanding of the existing problems in accounting on environmental costs as well as their impact on economic security at the micro level. The assessment of the scale of the problem has demonstrated that the economic security of enterprises has an impact on the economic security of the state. The point is that, the economic security strategy of the Russian Federation contains several indicators (indicators) which are used for assessing particular spheres of the economy, however, the environmental indicator which is vital for the humanity, is not among them. In this regard, the article discusses modern ways of reflecting environmental costs and their features. The leading role in the system of economic security of an enterprise is ascribed to the accounting. However, as evidence shows, the accounting is not fully capable of controlling and regulating individual financial flows, and therefore it has become necessary to refine and improve it, taking into account the peculiarities of the Russian accounting system and international standards. Originality. As a result of the analysis and assessment of the state of the problem, certain measures are proposed to improve the methods for classifying the environmental costs of an enterprise which can ensure its economic safety.

Abstract:
The article is aimed at studying the current state of the agro-industrial complex of the Ternopil region and elaborating proposals for improving local agro-industrial production aimed at increasing the competitiveness of enterprises’ products in the European Union markets. As a result of the study, the current state of the agro-industrial complex of the region is considered, the dynamics of production volumes of agricultural products of the main types in the region are examined. The authors also propose some ways to increase the export potential of the region in the direction of European integration. It is substantiated that for the development of this industry it is necessary to introduce a number of measures that will help solve urgent and important problems of agricultural production development in both the domestic and the European markets. To strengthen the position of the agro-industrial complex of the region, it is necessary to develop cooperation of agricultural producers more widely. First of all, special attention needs to be paid to expanded livestock industry, especially dairy. Perspective directions of work for farmers of Ternopil region in cooperation with markets of European countries are determined as follows: production of organic products, as well as cultivation and processing of fruit and berry products. Prospects for further research in this direction are substantiation and development of measures to increase the competitive advantages of specific agro-industrial enterprises of the Ternopil region of various specializations in the implementation of foreign economic activity in the EU markets. The implementation of these measures will enable the agro-industrial sector to become more profitable and provide an important contribution to the development of not only the region, but also the whole country as a whole.

Abstract:
This chapter explores the claims about the social and economic benefits and disadvantages of digital infrastructure investment. The differences between economists' and other social scientists' viewpoints affect the ways in which the outcomes of these industrial policy initiatives might be evaluated. The chapter concentrates on Europe and North America. The Digital Agenda is one of several pillars in the 2020 strategy. The data in support of industrial policies and regulatory measures to promote information and communications technologies (ICTs) and broadband networks appears strong. Investment in ICTs will produce productivity growth. The strategies of the large content-providing firms and the network operators affected the opportunities proposed by the availability of the Internet. There are signs that in both Europe and the United States, research has added to the realisation that ICTs are general purpose technologies, and that they are capable of contributing to extensive and pervasive changes in the economy and society.

Abstract:
This chapter highlights some of the challenges associated with the framing and measurement of unjust and preventable differences in health. Some of these are statistical challenges, such as the need for sufficiently large samples to capture the experiences of small groups of interest in the population, and the need to appreciate the strengths and limitations of different ways of measuring outcomes between groups. Other challenges relate to how the measures and language used can impact on the communities or groups of people whose health is being described, or how the framing of analyses can shape the responses proposed to address health inequalities. It presents selected statistics illustrating inequalities in physical health outcomes and risks at three broad life stages: infancy and childhood, adolescence, and middle to later life. It mainly presents socio-economic inequalities, largely due to data gaps for other important measures. The implications of these gaps, and potential ways to address them, are considered.

The role of the anti-crisis component in the process of managing a sustainable development of the city is shown as a stabilizing one. The properties of the city as a complex system and object of management are generalized. To make decisions on the city management these properties call for observation of such principles as a scientific character, goal setting, adaptability, unity of functioning and development, consistency of goals and interests, efficient use of resources, and complexity. The expediency of using a complex approach to fulfilling the tasks of urban development aimed at overcoming crisis phenomena and stabilizing the functioning is proved. The economic, ecological and social priorities are defined which are established when developing the anti-crisis strategy for a sustainable development of the city. The ways of developing the anti-crisis strategy for a sustainable development of the city are proposed to be based on the socio- ecological- economic approach. The arguments are given in favor of taking into account the interests of stakeholders when developing programs and projects on the anti-crisis management of the city. The attention is focused on the organizational and financial support for the implementation of the anti-crisis strategy. Monitoring and public control over the process of implementing the anti-crisis measures need in using relevant instruments, which should be the subject of further research.

Abstract:
This work presents a system analysis of modern tendencies of civilizational development, defines principal characteristics of the concept of sustainable development. It substantiates the provision that one of the most pressing problems of sustainable development is the global environmental problem, that concentrates in it particularities of the numerous problems of socio-economic nature. There are two blocks of environmental problems – problems related to the contradictions between the society and the environment (functioning of the system «societynature ») and social problems associated with contradictions within the society (functioning of the system «man-society»). The conclusion has been made that any economic development must be correlated to the ecological potential, that is interpreted as the amount of natural resources sufficient for the continuous economic growth, as well as stability of the established, lifefriendly relationships in the natural environment ensuring reproduction of conditions of the environment disrupted by human activity, and reproduction of natural resources used in the process of economic activity. Proceeding from the generalized existing interpretations of sustainable development, it is stated that the concept of sustainable development can be considered as a paradigm of further development of civilization that gives the opportunity to comprehend the problems of modern civilization in the global context; helps to systematically comprehend the regularities of development of the society; encourages resolution of local, regional problems in terms of the global context. It has been established that transition of functioning of the socioeconomic systems to the principles of sustainable development must be a totally controlled process that has to be implemented with a high degree of scientific foresight. There has been backed up the statement that modern society is a powerful source of production and consumption waste and the substance and particularities of waste management system formation have been defined. There have also been proposed ways to resolving the problem of waste and the principles of formation of the waste management system have been formulated: a) «the principle of taking precautionary measures» – measures must be taken to prevent the threat created to the environment by waste even in the absence of scientifically confirmed data; b) the principle – «the polluter pays» – producer or owner of waste must bear the costs connected with waste management; c) «proximity principle» – waste must be treated at the nearest waste treatment facility, taking into account environmental and economic efficiency; d) «principle of self-sufficiency» – necessary formation and operation of an integrated and adequate municipal network of facilities for the placement and recovery of municipal waste. The work proposes strategies for resolving the problem of waste. Strategy I – reducing the need for the product; strategy II – changes in the product; strategy III – changes in the use of products. The choice of waste management strategy has to be determined on the basis of analysis of the processes of production and consumption of a particular product. The waste management system has to be based on the fundamental principles of environmental management, on the basis of the adequate strategy and tactics. It is determined that the problem becomes urgent of developing measures of economic incentives in the field of waste management.

Abstract:
Abstract Every industry that seeks to remain efficient and relevant in this millennium should constantly be looking for ways of becoming more environmentally responsible — no business may call itself efficient if it threatens the environment within which it operates. As the quest for hydrocarbons intensifies in our deeper waters, we see environmental performance quality playing an increasingly critical role in every company’s business performance. In the last couple of years, reports from onshore E&P activities in Nigeria have shown that operating in the Niger Delta region poses some of the toughest challenges in the world. This region has witnessed a spate of attacks on oil and gas facilities, staff and contractors. Consequently, major oil and gas players have to contend with complex operational uncertainties due to increased pressures from the local communities for improved environmental control measures. In this project, we have outlined safe and effective plans, actions, and procedures to help pre-empt these pressures; maintain harmony with local communities, and effectively manage operational uncertainties within complex environmental settings like the Nigerian Niger Delta area. A proactive environmental management style based on continuous consultation, goal-oriented monitoring, as well as a continuous improvement attitude (CIA) are some of the various solutions proposed in this work. Finally, we are confident that this kind of environmental management system will undoubtedly enhance the economic viability, as well as the global competitiveness of our deep-water fields in offshore West Africa.

Abstract:
Sustainable development is only a lofty goal as long as there is a lack of standard metrics and benchmark values to measure the performance of sustainable development. Measurement of sustainability has been articulated by researchers in several ways, but most definitions are based on the so-called Triple Bottom Line (TBL) approach i.e., with Economic (Profit), Environment (Planet) and Social welfare (People) objectives. Individual measures were proposed by many researchers for these dimensions of sustainability using various indicators. The focus of this paper is on manufacturing processes and products, as opposed to services and organizational entities, it is meant to test the hypothesis that there is a concise subset to the wide range of indicators so far identified in the literature which could be applied to manufacturing processes and products. We wanted to address three issues: 1- What kinds of indicators can be used; 2- How often have they been used or, in other words, how relevant are they? and 3- Are there other indicators which may have been missing? Our primary approach was to look for real case studies in which the authors clearly intended their products to be officially declared as sustainable. All together we found 106 case studies which fit the purpose of our study in the Environmental Product Declaration (E.P.D., http://www.environdec.com). EPD is an organization which provides relevant, verified and comparable information to meet various customers and market needs. The categories of products in EPD range from food and beverage products to textile, wood, chemical, non-metallic mineral, basic metals, fabricated metal, machinery and equipment, and office machinery and computers. Each case study in EPD was carefully assessed with regards to the three issues indicated above, and the final result was the formation of a new set of indicators which will be more suitable for manufacturing processes and products. This new set of indicators, perhaps better described as a filtered set of indicators, was used in a case study to compare the sustainability of a Cathode Ray Tube (C.R.T.) and a Liquid Crystal Display (L.C.D.) desktop computer. Both of these products have been extensively documented by Sony Corporation and the EPA. They provided substantial quantitative data which enhance the validity of our own study. One other tangible result of our study was the determination of a “Sustainable Threshold“ for various products based on the 106 case studies indicated above. We wanted to submit the proposition that an aggregated score determined as indicated in our work can serve as a reliable measure for sustainability.
