Abstract:
The vocalist’s breath is one of the important areas of work in the pop vocal class. This area of work is especially relevant in adolescence, since at this age stage this process will become conscious and meaningful, and not intuitive, and complex works that are included in the repertoire of adolescents will require a more attentive attitude to breathing technique. The problem of singing breath received a theoretical justification from the point of view of different methodological approaches and is considered both in the context of the features of the vocalist’s work in different vocal styles (academic, folk, pop-jazz) and in the context of solo and choral vocal performance. However, breathing technologies in teenagers involved in pop vocals remain poorly illuminated. The object of the study is the singing breath of teenagers of the pop vocal class in the institution of additional education.

Abstract:
With the continuous improvement of people’s living standards, the requirements of music majors for their training standards are also increasing, which leads to the development of music training in the direction of intelligence. This paper discusses the problems of breathing, coordination, and muscle control ability in vocal training and puts forward a vocal training method based on dynamic adjustment factor and Monte Carlo algorithm to solve the difficult problem of vocal training for college students and understand the relationship between vocal training and exercise. Firstly, the sports training set and vocal pronunciation training set are constructed in the form of clustering, and the samples in the set are analyzed discretely to ensure that the samples conform to normal distribution; then, using the Monte Carlo algorithm analyzes the two sample sets and finds out the relationship between exercise and vocal training. Finally, according to breathing, coordination, muscle control ability, and other indicators, calculate the impact of exercise on vocal sound. MATLAB simulation shows that the method proposed in this paper can analyze the influence of exercise on vocal vocalization from the perspective of breathing, coordination, muscle control ability, and other indicators. The accuracy of judgment results is more than 95%, and the time is less than 1 min. All indicators are better than traditional vocal training methods (90%, 2 min), which shows the effectiveness of the method proposed in this paper.

Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to describe the university vocal training and vocal health of music educators and music therapists. The participants ( N = 426), music educators ( n = 351) and music therapists ( n = 75), completed a survey addressing demographics, vocal training, voice usage, and vocal health. Both groups reported singing at least 50% of the work day; moreover, music educators complained of vocal fatigue and hoarseness at the end of the week. Music educators expressed concern about their vocal health, due to the unique demands of music instruction and large classes. A majority of participants, particularly instrumental concentration majors, expressed a desire for more career-focused vocal training. Results suggest that additional university training in vocal health could help prevent vocal abuse and misuse among music educators and therapists; furthermore, music educators may be better qualified to promote healthy singing among developing voices.

Abstract:
In the process of vocal music learning, incorrect vocalization methods and excessive use of voice have brought many problems to the voice and accumulated a lot of inflammation, so that the level of vocal music learning stagnated or even declined. How to find a way to improve yourself without damaging your voice has become a problem that we have been pursuing. Therefore, it is of great practical significance for vocal music teaching in normal universities to conduct in-depth research and discussion on “pharyngeal singing.” Based on audio extraction, this paper studies the vocal music teaching pharyngeal training method. Different methods of vocal music teaching pharyngeal training have different times. When the recognition amount is 3, the average recognition time of vocal music teaching pharyngeal training based on data mining is 0.010 seconds, the average recognition time of vocal music teaching pharyngeal training based on Internet of Things is 0.011 seconds, and the average recognition time of vocal music teaching pharyngeal training based on audio extraction is 0.006 seconds. The recognition time of the audio extraction method is much shorter than that of the other two traditional methods, because the audio extraction method can perform segmented training according to the changing trend of physical characteristics of notes, effectively extract the characteristics of vocal music teaching pharyngeal training, and shorten the recognition time. The learning of “pharyngeal singing” in vocal music teaching based on audio extraction is different from general vocal music training. It has its unique theory, concept, law, and sound image. In order to “liberate your voice,” it adopts large-capacity and large-scale training methods.

Abstract:
The article reveals the features of such concept as «The vocal ensemble future leader methodological competence». It is necessary to distinguish such concepts as «preparedness» and «competence». The essence of the following concepts was revealed: «competence», «pedagogical competence», «methodical competenc», the essence analysis and structure of the vocal ensemble has been carried out. The professional competence of a modern specialist is a complex multi-component concept. Researchers come to the common opinion that methodological competence is an integrative set of knowledge, skills, and abilities that characterize the personality and mediate the specialist professional experience, it is knowledge in the didactics field, teaching methods. Vocal training is a complex process, the training of the vocal ensemble future leader is impossible without it. The concept of «ensemble» is polysemantic. In musical performance - it means any joint performance of a musical work. Therefore, such combinations as trio, quartet, quintet, and others are called ensembles. The vocal ensemble future leader must know the theoretical material and be acknowledged about the methods of working with the vocal ensemble. In the educational-professional program 025.00.02 «Solo singing» of the first (bachelor's) level of higher education the program, general and professional competences are specified. The purpose of the program is to prepare a competent competitive artist of the ensemble, a teacher of primary specialized art schools, capable of concert-performing and vocal-pedagogical activities. Provide higher vocal education with the possibility of teaching in primary specialized art schools. Vocal-methodical competence is defined as mastery of the method of voice production, methods of development of vocal technique, singing culture, creative potential of the singer. Knowledge of the principles of classification of singing voices and the ability to correctly determine the type of singer's voice. Ability to design vocal and pedagogical repertoire for different types of singing voices (children, adults). Possession of methods of work on vocal exercises, vocals, vocal works of various form, genre, style. Ability to apply the acquired knowledge and skills in the process of teaching solo singing in primary specialized art schools.

Abstract:
The article investigates one of the aspects of professional training of future vocalists and teachers of solo singing in the system of university education. The accumulated scientific and pedagogical, vocal-methodical and practical experience in this field is analyzed. It was found that the methods of students' work on vocal works, which contribute to the effective formation of professional competencies, need scientific substantiation. The study of the process of work on vocal works in the class of solo singing allowed us to draw the following conclusions: 1) work on vocal works in the class of solo singing is the most important component of preparing future vocalists for professional activities; 2) mastering by students of scientifically substantiated and pedagogically expedient methods of work on vocal works promotes successful formation of vocal-performing, vocal-scenic, vocal-methodical and other professional competences; 3) the success of students' work on vocal works in the solo singing class depends on the ability of teachers to rationally combine general scientific, didactic and special musical principles, methods and teaching aids. The study does not cover all aspects of the problem. In our opinion, the search for innovative methods of concert-performance training of vocal students in extracurricular time is promising. The result of joint work of a student and a teacher on a vocal work in a solo singing class depends equally on the student's ability to master the necessary educational material and on the level of professional training of the teacher. Only under this condition it is possible to ensure the successful preparation of students for professional activities and the full formation of their professional and general competencies.

Abstract:
Stereotyped vocal behavior exhibited by a seven-year-old child diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and maintained by automatic reinforcement was placed under stimulus control through discrimination training. The training consisted of matching a green card (SD) with free access to vocal stereotypy and a red card (SD-absent) with interruption of stereotypy and vocal redirection. At the same time, appropriate behaviors were reinforced. After discrimination training, the child rarely engaged in vocal stereotypy in the red card condition and, to a greater extent, in the green card condition, demonstrating the ability to discriminate between the two different situations. After the training, the intervention began. Once they reached the latency criterion in the red stimulus condition, the child could have free access to vocal stereotypy (green card condition). The latency criterion for engaging in stereotypy was gradually increased during the red card condition and progressively decreased during the green card condition. The intervention follows a changing criterion design. This study indicates that stimulus discrimination training is a useful intervention to reduce vocal stereotypy in an autistic child.

The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has created a new scenario for vocal and psychological morbidity among the entire population. Occupational voice users have had to adapt to these unique circumstances, confronting brand-new risks that increase the odds of developing and exacerbate vocal and mental health disorders. This paper addresses some of these challenges during and after COVID-19 pandemic. As a major outcome, we identified that work-related factors in online environments could be altering the vocal and mental health among occupational voice users. Interventions should focus on a comprehensive assessment of risk factors, including poor mental health previous to a crisis, life-threatening circumstances, separation from family, panic and bereavement. Similarly, this type of worker must receive instructions in voice training, muscle relaxation and mindfulness techniques, and educational technology.

Abstract:
The article discovers the issues which are a part of a complex set of training future music teachers to manage artistic and creative ensembles, in particular, vocal and choral ones. It is emphasized that the dominant place in the process of training future music teachers to guidance these groups is occupied by aspects of conducting and choral training, the study of which is impossible without understanding the unique phenomena of native choral performance and features of working with vocal and choral collectives. To solve these problems there are the disciplines of conducting and choral cycle, the main task of which is to educate students in professional skills and skills of singing in the choir, as well as managing the choir based on mastering the methods of working with the choir, didactic principles and knowledge of psychophysiological process which a person has during singing. It is noted that the reserve for improving the quality of professional training of future music teachers to manage vocal and choral ensembles is the intersubject relationship of special disciplines with socio-pedagogical and music-theoretical ones. Modern performance and analytical requirements for professional training of future music teachers to guidance vocal and choral groups are analyzed, in particular, the ability to achieve the required level of knowledge and skills on condition that students master each subject of conducting and choral cycle with awareness of their interaction, high level of singing and conducting competence of students and their deep knowledge of vocal and choral repertoire, the art of mastering of not only performing vocal and choral skills, but also organizational skills by the future manager of the ensemble, the unity of erudition in the field of vocal and choral art, methodical training, pedagogical activities based on interrelation of knowledge and practice of working with an artistic and creative collective. The specifics of the professional training of future music teachers to lead vocal and choral groups is his singing and conducting competence, deep knowledge of vocal and choral repertoire, the art of mastering the leader of the vocal and choral group not only organizational skills but also performing vocal skills. For effective professional training, students need to constantly and purposefully develop their musicological and performing qualities in conjunction with conducting and choral and methodological training.

Abstract:
The song is a means of entertainment most often heard by humans where in the song consists of music and vocals. Good quality music and vocal singers will make a song more pleasant to hear. To make the song sound tunable and in accordance with the rhythm can be done by adjusting the vocals according to the tone of the song. From this we know that measuring sound frequencies needs to be done to determine whether a frequency or period is loud, it can also be used as a tool in vocal training, one of them for vocal tuning applications to find the harmonious sound of the sound. Moreover, it can be used as a learning need in Sound Frequency Processing. Where one of the parts to create a vocal tuning application can be through the Real-time spectrogram program. This RTS uses Pyaudio as sound recording, uses the Python 3.6 programming language and uses the Fast Fourier Transform method which will help when making real-time spectrogram and pitch detection programs. Abstract:
PURPOSE: To verify the effect of two approaches of vocal training in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology students, a direct and an indirect approach.METHODS: Participants were 25 female Speech Language Pathology and Audiology students divided into two groups: direct training with vocal exercises, DTG (n=13); and indirect training with vocal orientations, ITG (n=12). The training sessions were conducted by the same speech language pathologist in six weekly sessions of 30 minutes. Both groups underwent multidimensional voice assessment, pre- and post-training: vocal self-assessment; Vocal Symptoms Scale (VSS); auditory perceptual analysis of sustained vowel and connected speech; acoustic analysis of voice through the Vocal Range Profile (VRP) and Speech Range Profile (SRP); and Group Climate Questionnaire, only at the end of training.RESULTS: The DTG showed changes in auditory perceptual analysis of vowel, which was less diverted after training; and expansion of the voice range in the VRP and SRP, which proves best vocal performance. However, the ITG showed no changes in any of the parameters evaluated. In Group Climate, the ITG obtained the highest conflict score in comparison to the DTG, probably because the indirect approach did not favor exchange in the group and did not allow a better quality interaction.CONCLUSION: The direct approach provided greater benefits to students than the indirect approach, with significant change in voice quality, and can serve as inspiration to Speech Language Pathology and Audiology courses to prevent dysphonia.

Abstract:
Purpose The purpose of this study was to determine and demonstrate the need for structured vocal training/seminars for fitness professionals to prevent voice disorders and improve overall voice use during instruction. Method Approximately 230 fitness professionals responded to an anonymous online questionnaire consisting of 20 items addressing voice care, voice use, vocal demands, and self-reported vocal difficulties within the fitness instructor role. The survey was distributed via SurveyMonkey, and the answers contributed to the data results (see Appendix ). Results The data display overwhelming agreement among fitness professionals that voice has an important role in and major impact on every class. The majority of respondents consider themselves occupational voice users but affirm they have never had a vocal training, although they feel a vocal training would be beneficial for their work in the fitness industry and they would be interested in attending such a training. A majority of respondents also teach three or more classes per week and qualify as “vocal athletes.” Over half of the respondents perceive themselves to be inadequately hydrated, and the majority also report hoarseness at some point related to their jobs teaching fitness classes. A majority of those surveyed have experienced a feeling of straining the voice/using effort during and/or after instruction of classes and also report being social/talkative individuals outside class instruction—therefore displaying a consistent use of voice in and outside their “work” setting, implying high vocal demand and full vocal schedules with reduced time for vocal rest. Conclusions The results of this study indicate that there is an imperative need to educate and empower fitness professionals to take adequate care of their voices and use their voices in the most healthy, efficient, effective, and dynamic ways possible to create outstanding classes, motivate clients, and protect their instrument (larynx/vocal folds) while doing so.

Abstract:
Purpose Although vocal training is often purported to restore and rebalance laryngeal muscle function, little is known about the direct effects of vocal training on the laryngeal muscles themselves. Consequently, parameters of vocal exercise dose, such as training duration and intensity, have not been well defined. The goal of this study was to use a behavioral animal model to determine the effects of short- and long-term ultrasonic vocalization (USV) training on USV acoustics, thyroarytenoid (TA) muscle neuromuscular junctions (NMJs), and TA muscle fiber size in adult rats. Method Twenty-four young adult male Long-Evans rats were divided into 3 groups (untrained control, 4-week training, and 8-week training). Baseline and posttraining USVs were recorded and acoustically analyzed for fundamental frequency, frequency bandwidth, amplitude, and duration. Presynaptic and postsynaptic NMJ morphological features and muscle fiber size were measured in the TA. Results USV training had no effect on USV acoustics. Eight weeks of USV training, however, resulted in a lower NMJ motor endplate dispersion ratio, consistent with previous findings. USV training did not affect fiber size within the TA muscle. Conclusions This study demonstrated that 8 weeks of USV training can induce peripheral neural adaptations in the NMJ of the TA muscle in young rats. The observed adaptations suggest that vocal training is consistent with endurance-type exercise, but the adaptations occur on a longer time scale than similar adaptations in the limb muscles.

Abstract:
An important component for successful vocal training is a favourable psychological climate and application of time-tested and experienced pedagogical technologies. The relevance of the study is associated with the emergence of new methods and approaches to the organisation of the educational process in a pandemic, which also affected the vocal training. The purpose of the study is to search the modern psychological and pedagogical principles during vocal training, its objective is to investigate new ways of organising the educational process in the realities of the COVID-19 pandemic. To analyse the problem, a complex combination of different methods was used, among which the analytical, theoretical, and comparative-generalising methods were prioritised. The results of the study allowed asserting that the psychological and pedagogical aspect in the educational process in vocal lessons has a leading, crucial role. The study proves that vocal training involves not only the control of the student over the process of sound production, but also the mastery of psychological intricacies aimed at achieving a stage performance transformation. It is substantiated that it is the teacher who, in accordance with the temperament and individual psychological traits of each student in particular, should choose the most favourable and effective didactic methods and pedagogical technologies. It is emphasised that in the conditions of the pandemic, distance learning became a priority, including in the field of vocal training, new ways of organising the educational process appeared. The difficulties during musical communication between the participants of the educational process – teacher, student, and accompanist – are highlighted. It is stated that during voice training, which can take place in the form of consultations, webinars or master classes with the help of online services and platforms, the choice of effective psychological and pedagogical solutions in the process of “cloud interaction” has become much more difficult. It is summarised that prospects for further research are to study the psychological and pedagogical specifics of distance learning in vocal lessons in different countries
