Abstract:
The past twenty-five years have seen an enormous growth in research into World Englishes, reflecting a new recognition of the status of the many national English dialects. Canadian English has been no exception to this trend and we have witnessed a dramatic increase in the quantity and quality of research into this variety. The stature it is now accorded as a separate dialect of English is reflected in the number of dictionaries, thesauruses, usage guides, and other reference works published since the late 1990s that were devoted specifically to Canadian English (e.g., Guide to Canadian English usage; Canadian Oxford dictionary; Oxford Canadian Dictionary; Collins essential Canadian English dictionary and thesaurus; Fitzhenry and Whiteside Canadian thesaurus) as well as audio-visual productions (e.g., Dialects of Canadian English; Talking Canadian).

Abstract:
The paper, discussed in this article, aims to construct a controlled vocabulary and thesaurus construction in libraries for the users. All the terms have been displayed in graphical visual vocabulary regarding the different types of terms and associated terms. It explores how to add different terms and subordinated terms by using the TemaTres open source tool and techniques, process, and steps for designing and developing the controlled vocabulary. This is practical work in thesaurus construction or in controlled vocabulary. Designing thesaurus construction is made using TemaTres and Visual Vocabulary. It provides easy access to library resources relating to different facets. Apart from these it can also display the adjacent terms which can increase the recall and accuracy value of the Web 2.0 environment in the information retrieval system. The paper provides the designing an integrated controlled vocabulary framework for libraries. This integrated framework is useful for constructing the thesaurus. The controlled vocabulary and thesaurus construction is an important component in the information retrieval system. This research paper has shown the process and steps of thesaurus construction and visual vocabulary against different terms for easy access of digital library resources. Finally this concept is more practical to all the public libraries and other educational libraries for easy access of vocabulary terms in both offline and online environments.

Abstract:
Operators monitor gauge shapes in control room displays to maintain the status of the refinery control process within normal limits. To test if shapes currently used by operators are effectively designed, two experiments were conducted to test the effectiveness of individual shapes in a Visual Thesaurus toolkit for comprehension and change detection. Moreover, eye tracking technology was used to investigate basic perceptual recognition behaviors of each Visual Thesaurus shape for comprehension and change detection. Thirty-one students from Pennsylvania State University participated in this experiment. It was found that pupil size could be used to track the cognitive load of participants. Correctness was also measured but it was not as sensitive as pupil size, as it did not capture a difference in the effectiveness of shapes.

Abstract:
Content-based multimedia information retrieval is never a trivial task even with state-of-the-art approaches. Its mandatory challenge, called “semantic gap,” requires much more understanding of the way human perceive things (i.e., visual and auditory information). Computer scientists have spent thousands of hours seeking optimal solutions, only ended up falling in the bound of this gap for both visual and spoken contexts. While an over-the-gap approach is unreachable, we insist on assembling current viable techniques from both contexts, aligned with a domain concept base (i.e., an ontology), to construct an info service for the retrieval of agricultural multimedia information. The development process spans over three packages: (1) building a Vietnamese agricultural thesaurus; (2) crafting a visual-auditory intertwined search engine; and (3) system deployment as an info service. We spring our the thesaurus in 2 sub-boughs: the aquaculture ontology consists of 3455 concepts and 5396 terms, with 28 relationships, covering about 2200 fish species and their related terms; and the plant production ontology comprises of 3437 concepts and 6874 terms, with 5 relationships, covering farming, plant production, pests, etc. These ontologies serve as a global linkage between keywords, visual, and spoken features, as well as providing the reinforcement for the system performances (e.g., through query expansion, knowledge indexing…). On the other hand, constructing a visual-auditory intertwined search engine is a bit trickier. Automatic transcriptions of audio channels are marked as the anchor points for the collection of visual features. These features, in turn, got clustered based on the referenced thesauri, and ultimately tracking out missing info induced by the speech recognizer’s word error rates. This compensation technique bought us back 14 % of loss recall and an increase of 9 % accuracy over the baseline system. Finally, wrapping the retrieval system as an info service guarantees its practical deployment, asour target audiences are the majority of farmers in developing countries who are unable to reach modern farming information and knowledge.

Abstract:
The Unified Astronomy Thesaurus (UAT) project managers have long defined the UAT as "an open, interoperable, and community-supported thesaurus." How do we solicit the detailed, comprehensive, and consistent community feedback that is required to keep the UAT relevant? The Steering Committee for the UAT has developed a visual organizational tool that lets reviewers suggest new concepts and restructure the existing hierarchy. Researchers and librarians can use this "Sorting Tool" to submit contributions and feedback to the UAT. The UAT Curator adds feedback to the UAT’s GitHub Issues, which allows for tracking, searching, and referencing the suggestions. The UAT Curator implements the accepted suggestions, preparing to include them in a future release of the Unified Astronomy The saurus. This process of continual improvement ensures that the UAT project remains community supported.

Abstract:
Multimedia information collections are becoming increasingly common in the humanities. This paper describes developments in hypermedia and image analysis techniques which are beginning to provide tools for retrieving and navigating through digitally stored visual information. The use of static links for navigating from text has become increasingly popular with the emergence of the World Wide Web, but generic links based on information content matching can provide more powerful information handling capabilities. We show how content based retrieval and generic Unk authoring and following can be applied to image data in multimedia collections. The paper highlights some of the problems with content based techniques applied to image retrieval and navigation and suggests how the introduction of a multimedia thesaurus can overcome some of these problems. The multimedia thesaurus provides a network of concepts in the domain of interest.

Abstract:
While Media Art has evolved into a critical field at the intersection of art, science and technology, a significant loss threatens this art form due to rapid technological obsolescence and static documentation strategies. Addressing these challenges, the Interactive Archive and Meta-Thesaurus for Media Art Research was developed to advance an Archive of Digital Art. Through an innovative strategy of “collaborative archiving,” social Web 2.0 features foster the engagement of the international media art community and a “bridging thesaurus” linking the extended documentation of the Archive with other databases of “traditional” art history facilitates interdisciplinary and transhistorical comparative analyses.

Abstract:
The authors substantiate the expediency of referring to the forms and artistic means of contemporary art as integrating mechanisms of the semantic space common to adult authors and children who are passionate about creativity. According to the most important understanding of childhood in the thesaurus approach according to Val.A. Lukov, the preserved past in its correlation with the peculiarities of the childrens subculture, the idea of matching the spontaneous creative actions of the child and the well-thought-out creative method of modern authors who seek to show the creative process itself is justified. The contradiction between the fundamental difference of the adults and children thinking models disappears when the child in the game acts on behalf of the Contemporary Author, showing his talent as actions to structure the fruitful disorder of an unfamiliar educational environment. The thesaurus helps to discover new meanings an accumulated body of knowledge about the world and how it is reflected in art products, sufficient for orientation in this environment. Taking into account the complex effects of the digital age on the child from the real and virtual subspaces, the presence in his thesaurus of contemporary art concepts, embodied in words, visual and musical images, it will contribute to a bright, obvious manifestation of giftedness at the age of 67 years.

Abstract:
Purpose The common understanding of generalization/specialization relations assumes the relation to be equally strong between a classifier and any of its related classifiers and also at every level of the hierarchy. Assigning a grade of relative distance to represent the level of similarity between the related pairs of classifiers could correct this situation, which has been considered as an oversimplification of the psychological account of the real-world relations. The paper aims to discuss these issues. Design/methodology/approach The evaluation followed an end-user perspective. In order to obtain a consistent data set of specialization distances, a group of 21 persons was asked to assign values to a set of relations from a selection of terms from the AGROVOC thesaurus. Then two sets of representations of the relations between the terms were built, one according to the calculated concept of specialization weights and the other one following the original order of the thesaurus. In total, 40 persons were asked to choose between the two sets following an A/B test-like experiment. Finally, short interviews were carried out after the test to inquiry about their decisions. Findings The results show that the use of this information could be a valuable tool for search and information retrieval purposes and for the visual representation of knowledge organization systems (KOS). Furthermore, the methodology followed in the study turned out to be useful for detecting inconsistencies in the thesaurus and could thus be used for quality control and optimization of the hierarchical relations. Originality/value The use of this relative distance information, namely, “concept specialization distance,” has been proposed mainly at a theoretical level. In the current experiment, the authors evaluate the potential use of this information from an end-user perspective, not only for text-based interfaces but also its application for the visual representation of KOS. Finally, the methodology followed for the elaboration of the concept specialization distance data set showed potential for detecting possible inconsistencies in KOS.

Abstract:
In the 1680s Aleksander Tarasewicz produced a cycle of prints illustrating the Thesaurus sacratissimae vitae passionis pretiosissimi sanguinis D. n. Iesu Christi, a prayer book compiled by the Augustine monk Fulgenty Dryjacki. The book was published by the Vilnius Academy publishing house, which was managed by the Jesuits; this publishing house was one of the most important centres of graphic art in the Commonwealth of Poland and Lithuania. Tarasewicz’s engravings stand out due to their complex iconographic programme and their composition, which refer to illustrations in prayer books that were popular in Western Europe at the time. The most interesting iconographic element are typological scenes from the Bible, which Tarasewicz included in most of the illustrations. Their analysis reveals which prints he used as his models, thus documenting Western aspirations in the art of 17th-century Vilnius.

Abstract:
The paper deals with a general solution of semantic description related to various electronic data formats in the domains of agriculture, aquaculture, forestry, food industry, environment, horticulture and rural areas. The solution presented was developed on the basis of metadata formats analysis and then complemented with its own software superstructure. It is based on the VOA3R metadata application profile (AP) that was developed within the framework of the Virtual Open Access Agriculture and Aquaculture Repository project for the sake of describing research papers and scientific publications. However, thanks to its complexity and comprehensiveness, it is also suitable for different kinds of data and while combining it with the AGROVOC thesaurus, which is elaborated by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, it can become a robust and universal tool for data characteristics and semantic description. The potential of the proposed solution is illustrated by means of two examples. While the first example brings a metadata description of a photograph depicting anthocyanin pigmentation of barley straw caused by phosphorus deficiency, the second example is related to a research paper description. The developed system of metadata description is broadly applicable in agriculture such as in precision agriculture, in plant production or in ground cover monitoring and evaluation based on sensor or visual data.

Abstract:
Within the English discourse of sport there are many special concepts that do not coincide in meaning with Russian terms. As a result, Russian people learning the English language do not understand the meaning of English sports terms and are confused in their use. The current research is aimed at systematizing English discourse of sport, and namely its football terminology, and revealing the semiotic structure of terms within it via thesaurus modelling of terms related to this discourse. In the first part of the work there is a description of the way the English thesaurus of sports terms was constructed. In addition, the author explains why the semiotic theory was chosen as the basis for this research. In the second part of the work the author presented a semantic field for the term football with a visual scheme of semantic relations. The research showed that there are no isolated terms in football discourse and all terms are connected with each other through hierarchic, synonymic, variance and associative relations. Moreover, systematizing terms via the thesaurus approach could help not only differenciate the nuances in meaning of sports terms but also illustrate the relations among these terms due to the constructed schemes. The achieved results can be used for the vocational training of students majoring in linguistics, sports, and Physical Education teachers.

Abstract:
In this article, the authors present a multimodal research model to research medical images based on multimedia information that is extracted from a radiological collaborative social network. The opinions shared on a medical image in a medico-social network is a textual description which in most cases requires cleaning by using a medical thesaurus. In addition, they describe the textual description and medical image in a TF-IDF weight vector using a “bag-of-words” approach. The authors then use latent semantic analysis to establish relationships between textual terms and visual terms in shared opinions on the medical image. The model is evaluated against the ImageCLEFmedbaseline, which is the ground truth for the experiments. The authors have conducted numerous experiments with different descriptors and many combinations of modalities. The analysis of results shows that when the model is based on two methods it can increase the performance of a research system based on a single modality both visually or textually.

Abstract:
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to assess whether Europeana can be really seen as the new “Library of Alexandria” for digital resources from the perspective of teachers, academics and researchers that might want to retrieve and reuse those resources for learning purposes. Design/methodology/approach The authors define a systematic method for studying Europeana digital resources and their potential for reuse in e-learning environments. To achieve this, the authors explore the coverage of digital resources when searching information about a specific area. The paper studies the relevance of the results (thematic coverage) provided by queries targeting the resources’ metadata elements defined by the EDM Europeana model. All the data collected for this study from Europeana digital resources are the result of four explorations since 2012-2016. Findings The autors found that Europeana as a digital library has good levels of coverage of digital resources for those terms in the AAT thesaurus explored (terms from the “Styles and Periods” subset). This subset was selected as an example of faceted search given that it is a common search topic in the academic environment. However, it is important to remark the use of common vocabulary words provided by participants in order to obtain relevant results of search based on specific knowledge areas defined by AAT terms. Research limitations/implications This research used a relatively small sample size of resources which may not be representative of the general size of Europeana digital resources. However, the results are illustrative as they are based on a specific knowledge area of AAT (118 terms) which contains very common topics used in high school courses by students and teachers in the field of art and cultural heritage. The study also aspires to provide a systematic method for conducting future studies in other knowledge areas. Originality/value The coverage study aims to analyze if Europeana is a digital library that teachers could use for the development of learning objects in specific knowledge areas, through the reuse of free/open access digital resources.

Abstract:
<p><strong>Abstract.</strong> Inability to use speech interfaces greatly limits the deaf and hearing impaired people in the possibility of human-machine interaction. To solve this problem and to increase the accuracy and reliability of the automatic Russian sign language recognition system it is proposed to use lip-reading in addition to hand gestures recognition. Deaf and hearing impaired people use sign language as the main way of communication in everyday life. Sign language is a structured form of hand gestures and lips movements involving visual motions and signs, which is used as a communication system. Since sign language includes not only hand gestures, but also lip movements that mimic vocalized pronunciation, it is of interest to investigate how accurately such a visual speech can be recognized by a lip-reading system, especially considering the fact that the visual speech of hearing impaired people is often characterized with hyper-articulation, which should potentially facilitate its recognition. For this purpose, thesaurus of Russian sign language (TheRusLan) collected in SPIIRAS in 2018–19 was used. The database consists of color optical FullHD video recordings of 13 native Russian sign language signers (11 females and 2 males) from “Pavlovsk boarding school for the hearing impaired”. Each of the signers demonstrated 164 phrases for 5 times. This work covers the initial stages of this research, including data collection, data labeling, region-of-interest detection and methods for informative features extraction. The results of this study can later be used to create assistive technologies for deaf or hearing impaired people.</p>

Abstract:
The subject of the research is the essence and specificity of socio-cultural aspects of the first stages of construction of the Moscow metro as phenomena of architecture in extreme environments. The object of research is the socio-cultural aspects of the architecture in extreme environments. The study provides their classification. The author relies on the principles of heterotopy research proposed by Paul-Michel Foucault while drawing upon a number of research methods, such as micro-urbanism, the study of the city in its “details”; visual sociology (visual anthropology); a systematic approach for collecting and analyzing materials, as well as thesaurus analysis of culture, allowing to systematize the results obtained by other methods. The paper identifies the features of creating socio-cultural spaces in an extreme environment on the example of the Moscow metro. The author focuses on the methods of creating a psychologically comfortable environment in the metro, as well as the possibility of architectural and artistic components of underground stations as translators of values and meanings. For the first time this paper examines the socio-cultural component of Moscow metro stations in the context of studying the essence and specifics of socio-cultural aspects of the architecture in extreme environments. The author's personal contribution is that, basing on the principles of research of socio-cultural spaces and the methodology of her own, she managed to detect specific features of creating the socio-cultural space of the Moscow metro first stations.

Abstract:
The article presents an extensive description of general scientific concepts as a methodological basis for studying pedagogical disciplines by future teachers. The essence, functions of general scientific concepts, the meta-subject character of general scientific concepts in the context of the conceptual and terminological field of pedagogical theory and practice have been characterized. Typical mistakes of future teachers’ work with the conceptual and terminological nomenclature, in particular in the use of general scientific concepts, have been defined. The essence and operational characteristics of actualization as a process of transfer of the potential state of the subject to the state of activity, the features of the actualization as a psychological and pedagogical phenomenon in the educational process have been revealed. The necessity of implementing the principles of systematization, continuity, contextuality in the work with general scientific concepts when studying pedagogical disciplines in class has been proved. The author has specified the forms and methods of actualization of general scientific concepts in the process of studying pedagogical disciplines (a conceptual warm-up; compilation of thesaurus; text analysis; compilation of clusters, «concept trees»; creative tasks; visual series etc.).

Abstract:
Purpose – This paper aims to analyse user interfaces for search and collection visualisation and navigation from a usability perspective. The final aim is to offer repository owners a scientific basis to support their decisions when they have to choose an interface that can really help users to effectively locate and visualise resources over large digital collections. Design/methodology/approach – This HCI study is divided into two parts: perception and usability. The first one analysed three perceptual abilities required to use interfaces: attention, retention of information and understanding. The second one was run on an ad hoc generated collection including more than 40,000 European digital resources collected and classified according to a given branch of knowledge in the Art & Architecture Thesaurus. Findings – Although visual interfaces proved useful for certain tasks related to resource discovery and search, and despite the overall good general user opinion, the authors found it necessary to conduct another thorough study to know more about the target users and the amplitude of the collection, as well as to determine the ideal type of interface to implement. All these factors are important for increasing user acceptance and avoiding unnecessary implementation costs. Research limitations/implications – This research was run on a relatively small sample size of users from Spain and Latin America, which may not be representative of the general population. In similar studies previous knowledge about usability has been reported to introduce bias in the results, so the authors tried to avoid this when selecting the participants. Originality/value – There are no previous usability studies for the development and implementation of interfaces in digital learning or cultural repositories. The authors' experience highlights the importance of addressing usability aspects a priori, to prevent users from ceasing to use visual interfaces over time, because they do not perceive any benefit from using them.

Abstract:
There has been much discussion by archaeologists in recent years of the reasons for which ancient hoards may have been deposited and not recovered. There is an apparently clear Roman definition of treasure in the Digest: Thesaurus est vetus quaedam depositio pecuniae, cuius non extat memoria ut iam dominum non habeat. There have been increasing difficulties, however, in interpreting this statement and the versions of it which have been incorporated into modern law. In England and Wales, for example, the uncertainties have even led to a replacement of the medieval law of Treasure Trove with a Treasure Act more suited to present-day conditions. In spite of the fact that most discoveries of treasure were made by chance, without adequate records, much of the argument revolves round the details of the deposits, from which attempts are made to infer the motives of those who made them. This speculation cannot be supported by direct evidence, and so, because our own particular interest is in hoards of Roman silver plate, we felt that it might be helpful first to review briefly some of the ancient documentary evidence for hoards of silver plate which the owner intended to recover, from literature and papyri, and then to publish two such hoards with detailed documentation, one from England in the seventeenth century and one from Germany in the twentieth century, which reveal some of the motives, hopes, actions and accidents which actually occur in such circumstances.

Abstract:
The article deals with the expressive role of gestures in the art of piano performance in relation to both classical and contemporary music. According to theoretical analysis, it is demonstrated that the issue of the performance gesture in contemporary music, in connection with the theatricalization of performance, as well as due to the fact that performance in many cases acquires the features of visual play-acting, stands out from the overall issue of artistry. The general provisions of the artistic gesture in contemporary piano music are complemented by multiple positions related to the art of playing the clusters, strings, pedals, using sound gestures, as well as theatricalization of the performed musical material. The article provides a detailed description of the categories of gestures adopted in the practice of modern music. They are: gestures related to performance of clusters; interspersed with verbal sounds in the process of playing the piano, the so-called verbal and sound gestures; related with playing on the strings by using fingers, sticks or other items; associated with playing pedals; theatricalized gestures. In conclusion: the expansion of the boundaries of musical language, and the emergence of performances and theatricalized compositions in performance practice has led to the expansion of the thesaurus of performance gestures’ and of its informative functions. In contemporary music gesture has become a bearer of meaning and forms one of the strata providing meaning to composition.

Abstract:
The article states that the reform of contemporary vocal education based on the principles of civilization integration of different, sometimes quite distant from each other, musical cultures, traditions and practices on the one hand, and the necessity for free access to the world vocal-performing and vocal-pedagogical experience on the other. In this regard, information and communication technologies (ICT) are becoming one of the most effective components of the educational process in primary specialized artistic educational institutions in the context of non-classical contemporary vocal. In the article, this issue is considered from the attitude of activity and culture appropriate approaches to learning. Based on the analysis of scientific and pedagogical sources on contemporary vocal pedagogy in the context of the use of ICT, the following methods and their respective means are separated: the methods of familiarization (3D technology, animation technology, audiovisual ICT); methods of work on vocal techniques (audio, visual and audiovisual ICT, computer, synthesizers, dictaphone, etc.); methods of work on the features of musical language and improvisation (audio, visual and audiovisual ICT, computer, video content, synthesizers, iReal-Pro, etc.); methods of preparing vocal repertoire (software for downloading, editing and storing information, notes and audio editors, etc.); methods of preparation and implementation of public performance (3D technology, animation technology, graphic and audio editors, video camera, voice recorder, dictaphone, video content, computer, mobile devices, etc.); methods of communication (computer, mobile devices, e-mail, instant messaging technology, social networks, messengers, video and audio conferencing systems, Internet, etc.), monitoring methods (video camera, dictaphone, memory cards and storage devices, etc.) The conclusions state that the methodological findings regarding the use of ICT in teaching of contemporary vocal are fragmented and do not constitute systematic methodological knowledge, what actualizes the problem of further research on the use of ICT and protection from artificial intelligence threats in the process of formation a contemporary non-classical vocal-performing thesaurus at pupils of specialized art educational institutions and institutions of non-formal art education.

Abstract:
The appearance of printed text resulted in changes to the way text is accessed, which leads to the question of whether these changes modified scholarly practice; and if so, how? The following article examines this question in a particular context—that of dictionaries and encyclopedias, referencing classical citations as guarantors and examples. The article defines the evolution of three important witnesses in this domain from the end of the fifteenth century to the first part of the sixteenth: the Cornu Copiæ by Niccolo Perotti, the Commentarii linguae latinæ by Etienne Dolet, of which two tomes appeared in 1536 and 1538, and the Thesaurus Latinae Linguae by Robert Estienne, in its three versions from 1531, 1536, and 1543. These three books represent the same type of object: language dictionaries, aimed towards a specific public of advanced learners, or the learned. In fact, the material weight of book fabrication, the difficulty from then on of collecting masses of texts, the new study conditions, the sheer quantity of texts available, and the famous temptation of universality, made the practice of regulation and of precise referencing an urgent necessity. The position of learned printers of Estienne’s generation was crucial: they helped create and then make commonplace certain material norms that are now so much part of our intellectual habit that we sometimes forget their material origin.

Abstract:
The article describes the original aesthetic and philosophical concept – the motor aesthetics of Akim Volynsky. Volynsky uses the concept of «motor aesthetics» in the Kniga likovanii, describing the value of circular lines for the «all aesthetics, visual, sound and motor», and particularly pirouette for motor aesthetics. The term «motor aesthetics of Akim Volynsky» is used in this article for the first time and is studied by the author from an interdisciplinary perspective. Motor aesthetics is developed by Volynsky for plastic art as a language of description of classical ballet, he introduces the basic concepts, formulates the laws, defines the basic philosophical categories that underlie it. The importance of Volynsky's work on the formation of the language of classical ballet description is recognized in the professional environment and theater criticism. The study of the motor aesthetics of Akim Volynsky is relevant in connection with the study of the philosophical foundations of intermedial analysis. The article deals with the problem of time and space in the motor aesthetics of Akim Volynsky for the first time. The direct connection of Volynsky's later works on ballet with his early article on Kant is revealed, the conclusion about the originality of Volynsky's philosophical position in relation to the categories of time and space is made. Using the thesaurus of Kant's transcendental aesthetics, Volynsky defines the two-act structural relationship of time and space according to the «par coupe» (fr) principle, which he regards as universal. It was concluded of Volynsky's motorial aesthetics value not only in the history of classical ballet and theatre criticism, the history of of the Russian literature and philosophy of the late 19th - early 20th century, but also in the modern philosophical anthropology and ontology.

Abstract:
The article reveals the essence and structure of creative individuality of the pupils of the out-of-school education institutions of artistic-aesthetic direction. Formation of the specified phenomenon is considered through the prism of motivational, cognitive, perceptual and interactive components and the following clusters of the pupil’s competences: value-motivational, cognitive-potential, creative-emotional, reflexive-activity. Value-motivational cluster characterizes the level of pupil’s motivation. It is determined by awareness of the importance of the creative component of artistic-aesthetic activity, understanding the need for creative self-development, efforts to improve one’s creative potential, interest in various disciplines of art education. Cognitive-potential cluster is manifested as a developed artistic-aesthetic thesaurus, variability of creative individuality in different types of artistic-aesthetic activities, the direction of creative self-development. Creative-emotional cluster covers such qualities of the personality of the pupil of the out-of-school education institution as initiative, independence, risk-taking, emotionality, etc. With the help of reflexive-activity cluster can be measured the ability to reflections in the creative process, the ability to manage one’s mental state, overcoming internal and external obstacles, purposefulness and criticism in performing creative tasks. It is argued that creative individuality of the pupil of the out-of-school education institution is a complex and multi-aspect quality, which is formed in a multi-vector educational process, which focuses on individual creative development of pupils, and effectiveness of this process depends on providing a number of pedagogical conditions, in particular: development and application in the process of teaching the pupils of the out-of-school education institutions visual or decorative-applied arts of creative technologies of creative individuality formation; motivation for creative activity with a focus on opportunities for creative self-expression; providing an aesthetic and developmental environment in terms of art education; introduction of various forms of individual creative work.
