Abstract:
Abstract Having graduated in architecture at the University of Technology Wien [Vienna], I subsequently engaged in post-graduate studies at The Bartlett School of Architecture and Planning / University College London. Corporate design and signage design attracted my attention. Back home a major bank and Vienna airport (VIE), among others, were the first clients of my company. As chairman of Committee 133 “Public information symbols” of “Austrian Standards”, I was responsible for the elaboration of several theme specific national and international standards. In 1993 I founded the IIID International Institute for Information Design. Several r&d projects within the frame of the 6th and 7th European Union Framework Programmes for Research and Technological Development were carried out. However, due to the required but denied support from the Austrian Ministry of Science and Research, the founding of an interdisciplinary institute, affiliated to the United Nations University (UNU), did not materialize. No chance either to establish “Visual Communication Design” at a local university. Until now the Department of Typography and Graphic Communication of The University of Reading (UK) seems to be the only theme specific institution on tertiary university level in Europe. Challenges nowadays range from legible medical package inserts to a much required unified system for the European Union highway signs.

Abstract:
The article is devoted to the generalization of the design features of visual communication of hospitality brands. Visual communications is a separate field of design, which began to take shape in the 1950s. Its purpose was to study a set of problems related to the interaction of the system "man - environment", designed to organize spatial content. Visual communications of design have become an important component of the modern consumer market, finding its expression not only in advertising, but also in the image of the seller and the product itself. Visual communications have become a link between design, science and economics. Based on the results of the study, the authors analyzed the impact of visual communication design on the branding process in the HoReCa segment. The share of perception through visual images, signs, systems is incredibly large, and the formation of proper visual communication based on basic principles of perception, relevant images and associations helps to create a correct, comfortable and cost-effective space for promoting goods and services, including hotel and restaurant segment. The authors propose a classification of design elements of visual communication in the field of hospitality. There are three main time stages of design in the structure of brand design in the hospitality industry. The article identifies the features of the design of visual communication for the hotel and restaurant business. Elements of the brand, embodied in the design, form a system of visual communications, which begin to perform the functions assigned to them by corporate and marketing strategy. Objects that are visually perceived are less likely to cause hostility and more likely to form positive associations, which leads to better assimilation of information and memory, which is an important element in shaping consumer loyalty in the hospitality industry.

Abstract:
Human-centered design approaches are intended to provide designers with tools to improve the interaction between design objects and their human users. Often, the design principles of these approaches try to cover broad human requirements, but not particular human differences relevant to use and communication. This paper is a study of visual intelligence and mood as two of the major hypothesized human differences for visual communication design. Evidence shows that visual intelligence predicts adequate interaction patterns and that two dimensions of mood – high tense arousal and anger/frustration – negatively affect the interaction with visual information. The data also suggests that mood change might be negatively associated with interaction experience, showing that mood effects have the potential to be used as a measurement of interaction design quality.

Abstract:
The dynamic design of graphic language can be seen everywhere in life as the digital media era progresses. Graphic designs, such as product packaging, poster design, book binding design, and logo design, are examples of traditional visual design. The print media is the most important factor. Graphic design that is aided by digital media technology is not limited to print but also includes network media. The teaching research of China’s visual design specialty is still in its early stages, the relevant teaching system reform of various colleges and universities is still being explored, and there is no unified standard in the digital information age. As a result, it is critical to conduct in-depth research using scientific and systematic methods in order to pave the way for the development of a domestic visual design specialty in the information age. Simultaneously, the popularization and development of new media have had a significant impact on traditional printing media, breaking the monotony of traditional visual communication and making modern visual design more vivid and intuitive. Visual perception in psychology is introduced into design thinking in this paper. Apart from its expression in art culture, the concept of space also encompasses the physics concepts of time and space, as well as the scientific research theory of visual perception in psychology, which transcends the perceptual cognition level of space in art design.

Abstract:
The actualization of visual communication can’t be separated from bussines and aesthetic design. The sense is important role in creation. If it doesn’t, it will be treatise tragedy. The product of visual communication can’t be separated from media, as a mediation place among product, services, even self actualization with social community who became target. The presence of sense on every element in the design will frame the concept of design. Research methods uses a qualitative approach with emphasis on observation and documentation. The analize data uses case study. Creating with sense is appreciation problems, because every action of human involve all five senses. The appreciation through the imagination manifested visually may experience stylized, distortion, and adaptation. But interestingly, designer is able to capture the essence, so the sense be more involved in the creation process. The sense of design is the result of the appreciation that includes creative activity. The creative, expression, perception, character, productive, inventive, innovation, inspiration, and emergentif aspects that present in the overall design concept focused on achieving aesthetic value. The design of visual communications show the sense of the process until the final design. The sense of design is present in every element of the design such as illustration, typography, color, and layout.

Abstract:
The text has played an essential role in the advancement of human civilization. It is used now as a valuable cultural heritage that has been experienced for a thousand years. The passing text must have its irreplaceable advantages and charm. People are extremely sensitive to visual symbols, and it is also the first step in which people can know things. Most of the books in today’s market focus on pictures and colors, which ignores the design of the text. This makes the text boring taste, causing the reader’s visual fatigue, which is not conducive to readers absorbing information through books. Therefore, this paper studies the font design in the design of the visual algorithm based on the genetic algorithm, and the font design is analyzed by the particle swarming algorithm, the decision MIMO-SCMA system of the genetic algorithm. It aims to address the dryness of today’s texts by constructing texts that are instantly recognizable and visually appealing to readers. Through innovative visual concepts, readers can enjoy the process of acquiring knowledge. In this paper, to investigate the effectiveness of the genetic algorithm in font design, the number of experimental research subjects was set to 300, and 280 valid questionnaires were collected to investigate the satisfaction of users with the newly designed fonts. Experiments showed that the visual communication design based on a genetic algorithm has increased by 6.52% for the design satisfaction and the number of fonts that use the system is also increasing.

As a design researcher, it should pay attention to the impact of technological changes on the design field. By exploring suitable design methods, the application of visual communication in mobile media under 5G technology conditions can be better realized. Starting from the background of the evolution and development of media, this paper analyzes the reasons for the rise of 5G technology, as well as the characteristics of 5G technology and its advantages in communication. At the same time, it deeply analyzes the connotation and involved fields of visual communication design and expounds the promotion and influence of the reform of media technology. It focuses on analyzing the development level of 5G technology and the new thinking brought by visual communication design. The article also puts forward the origin of the research. 58.1% of the evaluators were satisfied with the impact of 5G technology on visual communication. Visual design, interaction design, and usability design are all indispensable factors in interface design. When designing, they are not designed in isolation from each other but interact with each other. When carrying out any one of the designs, the design influence of the other two should be combined, and the changes of each one should affect the design of the other two. For example, interaction design and usability issues must be considered when determining the visual presentation of an interface. It can be seen that the design process of the interface is a comprehensive design process. This research helps to advance the development of visual communication design in the future.

Abstract:
With the development of wireless communication technology, video and multimedia have become an integral part of visual communication design. Designers want higher interactivity, diversity, humanization, and plurality of attributes in the process of visual communication. This makes the process of visual communication have high requirements for the quality and real-time data transmission. To address the problem of transmitting HD video in a heterogeneous wireless network with multiple concurrent streams to improve the transmission rate and thus enhance the user experience, with the optimization goal of minimizing the system transmission delay and the delay difference between paths, the video sender and receiver are jointly considered, and the video transmission rate and the cache size at the receiver are adaptively adjusted to improve the user experience, and a cooperative wireless communication video transmission based on the control model for video transmission based on cooperative wireless communication is established, and video streams with self-similarity and long correlation are studied based on Pareto distribution and P / P / l queuing theory, based on which an adaptive streaming decision method for video streams in heterogeneous wireless networks is proposed. Simulation results show that the proposed multistream concurrent adaptive transmission control method for heterogeneous networks is superior in terms of delay and packet loss rate compared with the general load balancing streaming decision method, in terms of transmission efficiency and accuracy.

AbstractFlat Design Trend in visual Communication Design. Visual communication design is how human being is communicating with visual image.Every designer has characteristic in their work, but in the last few years flat design appeared in visual communication design artworks. Many big and reputable companies used flat design such as Microsoft, Apple, Google , KOmpas , and many more. The flat design is very different from previously existing trend beacuse it formed simplicity by removing all forms of graduation effect, shadows, glossy and other. There are some who assume flat design is the implementation of a minimalist stykle and linked it with the famous Swiss Style in the 1940s until the 1950s. This paper expalined more about the development and application of a flat design in visual communication design AbstrakTren Flat Design Dalam Desain Komunikasi Visual. Desain Komunikasi Visual menjelaskan tentang bagaimana manusia berkomunikasi melalui citra visual. Abstract:
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to deepen the understanding of why text messages are superseded by using stickers, thus driving instant messaging software (IMS) users’ visual communication process. Design/methodology/approach Drawing on Uses & Gratifications (U&G) theory and using a semantic technique, this research begins by identifying design indices of stickers and user’s perceived gratifications that they describe and evaluate at their first impression of using stickers in Study 1. Study 2 introduces media richness theory and the expectancy model into the framework of U&G theory and further explains several causal linkages from the LINE stickers’ design quality indices to proximal users’ perception of gratifications and distal sticker use intention. Findings Study 1 explores four variables, playfulness, variety, delicacy and uniqueness, as stickers’ design quality indices and discloses two user perceptions of gratifications, i.e., the needs of self-expression and of flaunting to someone, as main intrinsic motives for users sending stickers. The results of Study 2 further support the finding that self-expression and a mentality that seeks conspicuousness are two important psychological variables mediating the effects of three design quality indices – playfulness, variety and uniqueness – on visual image use intention. Originality/value The main contribution of this research is to verify the psychological mechanism of visualized communication between IMS users. Moreover, the finding extends the digital marketing literature by highlighting conspicuous consumption that occurs not only in consuming luxury goods, but also in costless or cheaper digital product such as IMS stickers.

Abstract:
Traditional visual communication design teaching courses only use books and courseware for teaching, which greatly limits students understanding and perception of visual communication design art courses. The visual communication design course is different from the teaching of other subjects; it requires students to have a deep understanding of the content of the video and the experience of emotion. Relying on courseware and book teaching methods will not only limit students’ imagination, but also make students tired of learning psychological activities. The teaching of visual communication design technology is to transmit the images, colors, words, and emotions of artworks to students in the form of video, which is a relatively abstract course. With the development of big data technology, this brings new opportunities for the teaching of visual communication design technology courses. In this study, data mining technology will be used to evaluate the effect of visual communication design teaching. And CNN will be used to predict the content characteristics of visual communication design teaching, which is part of the visual communication design teaching system. The research results show that the big data method has better performance in the visual communication design technology course; both the classification and prediction errors are within the acceptable range for the artwork of the visual communication design course. Big data technology can well predict the relevant features in visual communication design; the largest prediction error is only 2.66%, and the smallest error is only 1.21%.

Abstract:
Writing is one of the main communication tools that has been widely used since the Sumerian civilization discovered it. While it had a symbolic attitude in its form in the first periods of its discovery, it was simplified over time and brought to the basic form we use today. With the discipline of typography, which allows us to use writing, which is one of the main constituent of visual communication and graphic design, both aesthetically and functionally, graphic designers visualize writing in variety of different forms, traditional and contemporary. Today, visual communication is one of the most important concepts encountered in every aspect of human life. People are now trying to meet their communication needs faster by looking and seeing instead of reading. In this study, rather than recording the verbal language, which is the main function of writing, it is explained by giving examples how writing is used as an imaginary language of expression in different art and design disciplines, especially in the graphic design discipline. In this direction, the typographic image style is defined in the study and the concept of typographic image is explained by giving examples in the disciplines of sculpture, architecture, interior architecture, textile and fashion design, and industrial design, especially in the discipline of graphic design. Abstract:
There is great potential for graphics to present quantities, processes, and spatial relations that make knowledge communication more effective through simple to complex visual languages. Visual representation conveys certain messages, directly or metaphorically. An effective visual representation communicates with users by offering core messages and other embedded qualities. These embedded qualities generate interest in the topics/issues, create desirable energy for seeking more knowledge in depth, and enable readers to explore their favorable influences. It is no longer enough to consider a visual representation to be merely attractive or pleasing; it also has to be designed in a way to effectively tell stories in order to better play its role as an information carrier and to meet users’ needs for multiple modes of usage. This study examines the ways in which visual explanation both tells stories and presents their underlying meanings. Visual information design not only presents concepts and events across time but also disseminates information widely through various media. This case study investigates various visual depictions of fertility rates and observes the causes and effects of viewers’ decision making. The total fertility rates in Taiwan dropped dramatically from 1951 to 2006, according to the Department of Household Registration Affairs, Ministry of Interior (MOI), Taiwan. This drop not only will render the aging population greater than other age groups in the near future, but also greatly changes social, economic, and environmental progress in this region. This study’s small effort in the information design field will help create a link between practitioners’ intelligence and researchers’ suggestions, thereby helping enhance the effectiveness of visual communication.

Abstract:
The depth synthesis of image texture is neglected in the current image visual communication technology, which leads to the poor visual effect. Therefore, the design method of film and TV animation based on 3D visual communication technology is proposed. Collect film and television animation videos through 3D visual communication content production, server processing, and client processing. Through stitching, projection mapping, and animation video image frame texture synthesis, 3D vision conveys animation video image projection. In order to ensure the continuous variation of scaling factors between adjacent triangles of animation and video images, the scaling factor field is constructed. Deep learning is used to extract the deep features and to reconstruct the multiframe animated and animated video images based on visual communication. Based on this, the frame feature of video image under gray projection is identified and extracted, and the animation design based on 3D visual communication technology is completed. Experimental results show that the proposed method can enhance the visual transmission of animation video images significantly and can achieve high-precision reconstruction of video images in a short time.
