Abstract:
Abstract The development of population and development activities in big cities in Indonesia, especially in the city of Jakarta and surrounding areas is very rapid. From several land subsidence studies, several factors have been identified that cause land subsidence, namely: excessive groundwater extraction, reduction due to building/infrastructure loads, subsidence due to natural consolidation of soft soil layers, and subsidence due to tectonic forces. At present the exploitation of ground water for industrial and residential needs is at a level that needs attention. Excessive pumping of groundwater will cause a decrease in the quantity of ground water, entry of seawater into the land (sea water intrusion) and land subsidence. Symptoms of the negative impact of land subsidence have been felt in several areas, especially in industrial areas located in the northern part of Jakarta. This land subsidence can be measured by GPS or satellite geodetic method, which have begun to develop in Indonesia in the past two decades. Measurements were made using the radial method at 53 GPS points in 2015 up to 100 measurement points in 2019 in Jakarta Groundwater Basin. The result of these campaign GPS surveys that is northern part of Jakarta relatively had higher subsidence rate than the southern. The largest subsidence almost reached 6.2 cm/year in Muara Baru in northern area which is southern area only suffered an average rate of 1.16 cm/year.

Abstract:
Space utilization for measurement of the changes of Earth’s surface is an alternative monitoring technique. Covering a large area with better spatial resolution, comparable accuracy and costly low compared with conventional measurement have made SAR technology more popular in monitoring the subsidence. Land subsidence is the vertical movement of the land surface mainly triggered by fluid extraction, load of construction, geological condition, natural compaction or tectonic activity. Previous researchers have found that Jakarta has experienced land subsidence for decades. On the other hand, rapid urban growth and severe congestion problem in Jakarta are also crucial issues. By providing the first MRT subway, it is expected to be solved the congestion problem. Persistent Scatterer Interferometry Synthetic Aperture Radar (PSInSAR) is one of method to identify the deformation with millimeter accuracy. It was perfectly useful for studied on the land subsidence in consequence of the first MRT subway project in Jakarta. The land displacement monitoring along MRT subway trajectory has been acquired by processing Sentinel 1 and ALOS PALSAR-2. This study was able to investigate the land subsidence by using SARPROZ. Finally, the results of this study indicated that land subsidence occurred in the construction area with the lowest land subsidence rate of -0.6 cm/year and the highest land subsidence rate was -7.3 cm/year.
Sea Surface Temperatures (SSTs) is one of the most important oceanographic parameter that could affect the marine life, especially coastal ecosystem. SSTs data varies in hourly, daily, seasonal, annual, inter-annual, and even in longer time scales. This condition makes any studies using instantaneous measurement could turn into misleading report due to the lack of time series SSTs data. Thus, the aim of this study is to understand the seasonal and intra-seasonal SSTs dynamics in Pari Island using continuous measurement from temperature logger. This study found that the double peaks of SSTs in May and November are correspond to the period of transitional monsoon. Conversely, the two minimum SSTs in February and August were correspond to the peak of northwest monsoon and southeast monsoon respectively. In addition to seasonal pattern, the slightly dominant intra-seasonal variability of SSTs was found in the period of 57 and 86 days. Those predominant signals suggested represent the Madden-Julian Oscillation phenomena.

Abstract:
This article proposes and tests a ‘shorter version of the instrument for public service motivation based on Perry’s (1996) exploratory 24-item scale for Indonesia civil servants in five big cities, inter alia, Jakarta, Surabaya, Semarang, Makassar, and Medan. Of 1200 respondents, 904 completed the questionnaire, and 800 questionnaires were determined to be feasible for further analysis. Thus, the response rate was 88.50% the results indicated support for the shortened scale of Perry’s original work on investigating the Public Service Motivation (PSM) of Indonesia civil servants in sample cities. The 10-item scale was based on four factors PSM, inter alia Attraction to Policy Making (APM), Commitment to the Public Interest (CPI), Compassion (COM), Self-Sacrifice (SS). Results also showed that, generally PSM for civil servant with basic positions in city government offices, in five cities tends to vary. The research results are expected to enhance our understanding about the importance of factors that influence the motivation of civil servants in providing public services to the general public. However, the limitation of the study lies in the small sample which is drawn from only five large cities in Indonesia.

Abstract:
The most significant energy used in middle-class apartments is the air circulation unit. The use of energy from the air circulation system is related to the comfort of the user in the housing unit, so it adjusts to the applicable standard. The objection of this study is to investigate the optimization of the air circulation system in middle-class apartments in an urban area. The method is a comparative study of the government standard. The stages of the research did site observation, take air quality measurement, and interview with the questionnaire. Indoor air quality data collected are temperature, relative humidity, CO, and CO2. The data measurement compared to SNI 03-6572-2001 on Procedures for Designing Air Conditioning and Ventilation Systems in Buildings, Indonesian National Standardization. The questionnaire was to find out the comfort of residents on indoor air quality (IAQ). This study reveals that almost all air quality aspects are consistent to standard, except the temperature. The results of this study that meet the criteria related to air circulation are air movement 40%, relative humidity 65.5%, air movement 40%, CO 78%, and CO2 95%. The result of the questionnaires states that 72.4% of residents feel comfortable with the air quality in the dwelling unit. The size of the room and the adequacy of ventilation in the place influences the value of the air circulation system besides air movement.

Abstract:
Indonesia is the world’s sixth largest producer of Carbon Dioxide (CO2) emissions. Jakarta is one of the cities in Indonesia with the highest amount of CO2 emission, due to the growing number of population within the city. Anthropogenic activities in the form of industry, transportation, and housing have become one of the primary sources of CO2 emission. The emission is an urban natural hazard, and it needs to addressed immediately. Green open space is the fundamental solution to this problem. The presence of urban green space will reduce the amount of CO2 emission. Unfortunately, the extent of reduction remains unclear, especially in South Jakarta. The study aims to analyze the capability of urban green space in sequestering CO2 from anthropological aspects such as some population and vehicle in South Jakarta. The sequestration capability of each green open space is measured using the Leaf Area Index generated from remote sensing imagery. The CO2 emission was calculated from some population and the number of vehicles collected from statistical data and ground measurement, respectively. The result shows that green open space distribution significantly correlated with the CO2 sequestration (with the value of 0.79). This study shows that the number of urban green space is one of the solutions to reduce CO2 emissions.

Abstract:
Spatial and temporal data of particulate matter (PM) are limited in Indonesia; hence cost-effective and robust instruments to monitor PM concentration could complete data coverage. The low-cost sensor (LCS) Alphasense OPC-N2 provides real-time PM concentration data and is relatively simple to install and deploy. This paper presents data from an OPC-N2 sensor collocated with a PM10 Beta Attenuation Monitor (BAM). The study was carried out at an air quality monitoring site in North Jakarta belonging to the provincial government. The location is considered suitable for evaluating the performance of OPC-N2 micro sensor as it is a representative of a typical Indonesian urbanized area with a range of pollutant sources, including sea-sourced aerosols. At the same site, a filter-based Gent Sampler (GS) measuring both PM10 and PM2.5 was also deployed. The study showed that 30-minutely and daily average concentrations data for PM10 measured by OPC-N2 were lower than that of BAM measurements in both averaged durations by approximately 50%. The comparison between OPC-N2 and GS for PM10 showed that OPC-N2 measurement was underestimated but it was overestimated for PM2.5. Nonetheless, correlations of OPC-N2 and BAM were 0.530 and 0.607 for PM10 and PM2.5, respectively. These results were comparable to other low-cost sensor evaluation studies in different countries, suggesting that the sensor can represent temporal variation of the reference measurement.

Abstract:
Abstract Today’s electrical appliances use power electronics to save electricity. However, this equipment generates non-sinusoidal current, causing wave defect, expressed as total harmonic distortion (THD). As the %THD increases, the greater risk of equipment damage. For this reason, the research was carried out in the Faculty of Engineering Building, Universitas Kristen Indonesia Jakarta (FT UKI Jakarta) where there are many load combinations such as computers, various types of lights, laboratory equipment such as transformers, electric motors and so on. The research was conducted using quantitative method. Data collection is carried out directly in the main panel. Based on the measurement results, the calculation of the maximum load current (IL) and short circuit (ISC) is carried out. Through these values, it can be seen that whether the odd dominant harmonic values and orders meets the IEEE 519-2014 standards or not. Calculations and analysis of the measurement results have shown that the %THDI in the FT UKI building has not meet the standard. Therefore, it is necessary to simulate the filter design to reduce the %THDI, so that the results can meets the IEEE 519-2014 standard, which is below 5%.

Abstract:
Abstract. Jakarta is the capital city of Indonesia with a population of about 10.2 million people, inhabiting an area of about 660 square-km. It is located within a deltaic plain and passes by 13 natural and artificial rivers. In the last three decades, urban development of Jakarta has grown very rapidly in the sectors of industry, trade, transportation, real estate and many others, which has caused several negative environmental impacts. In turns Jakarta is then prone toward a few natural hazards mainly land subsidence and flooding. In general, based on geodetic measurement methods (e.g. Leveling, GPS surveys, and InSAR), conducted since 1982 up to 2014, it is obtained that land subsidence in Jakarta exhibits spatial and temporal variations, with the typical rates of about 3 to 10 cm year−1. In general, the impacts of land subsidence in Jakarta can be seen in the forms of cracking of permanent constructions and roads, changes in river canal and drain flow systems, wider expansion of coastal and/or inland flooding areas, and malfunction of drainage system. Several areas along the coast of Jakarta already have experienced tidal flooding during high tide periods. These coastal flooding usually occurs in the areas with relatively large subsidence rates. Subsidence in the areas along the rivers which are flowing throughout Jakarta will also worsen the impacts of riverine flooding. The changes in river canal and drain flow systems and malfunction of drainage system due to land subsidence will also aggravate the flooding. Land subsidence will have direct and indirect affects with the flooding in Jakarta, both in coastal or inland areas.

Abstract:
Improving the quality of spatial cadastre remains a challenge in Indonesia. The lack of data quality impacts the legal uncertainty of land rights and the inequality of control, ownership, use, and utilization of land. This study discusses the efforts that can be made to achieve an accurate, assured, and authoritative spatial cadastre by referring to cadastral regulations in Indonesia, especially in urban areas. This research focuses on three spatial elements: boundary determination survey, measurement methods, and base map accuracy in order to assess systematic and sporadic registration activities previously conducted in two sub-districts in North Jakarta. The areas are located in a compacted urban area that consists of 19,173 land parcels as a research sample. A multivariate clustering tool is used to analyze the grouping of land parcels into a cadastral typology (comply/not comply). This study indicates that the level of compliance of the land parcel maps against three spatial elements are the following: (1) the compliance to boundary determination survey by 100%; (2) the compliance to measurement method by 17.36%; and (3) the compliance to base map accuracy by 0%. This paper explains how the cadastre typology can be used as an indicator of compliance as well as a baseline to improve the quality of spatial data.

The odd semester of the academic year 2022 is an important moment for education in Indonesia. After almost three years, students and teachers carried out online learning and teaching processes, finally in the odd semester of academic year 2022, schools especially in province of DKI Jakarta will implement onsite teaching and learning processes. Students will wake up early, prepare and bring their books and bags to their school. One thing that is identical with education in Indonesia is the large number of textbooks that students will carry in their bags, even though the load from the bag will have a long-term negative effect on bone growth and have an bad impact on student’s body posture. This is a point of concern for parents and teachers at SMAN 72 North Jakarta, at the invitation of the school, the author then provided a workshop about the importance of using ergonomic bags for students in order to maintain students' physical and psychological health. The result of this community service activity is a measurement of the satisfaction of the participants, 97.44% of 156 participants were very satisfied and assessed that the workshop gave them benefits in providing new knowledge about ergonomic bags.

Abstract:
Introduction: Stunting is a major nutritional problem in Indonesia. The prevalence of stunting in DKI Jakarta province was relatively high at 27.5% in 2013 and 17.7% in 2018. This study aims to describe nutrient intakes of children aged 25-30 months and to determine the proportional differences in nutrient intakes between stunting and normal children in Central Jakarta, Indonesia. Methods: A case-control study with a total sample of 121 children aged 25-30 months was conducted in Gambir and Sawah Besar sub-districts, Central Jakarta, where the prevalence of stunting was high. All children were exclusively breastfed for at least four months and had similar socio-economic levels. Data collected included height measurement, questionnairebased interview, and 24-hour food recall. T-test and chi-square test were used to investigate the differences between two groups and logistic regression was used in multivariate analysis. Results: Factors associated with stunting were energy intake (AOR=6.0; 95% CI=1.0-35.0) and protein intake (AOR=4.0; 95% CI=1.1-15.5) after controlling for fat, carbohydrate, vitamin C, iron, and zinc intakes. The percentage of children with energy intake below the recommendation was much higher in stunted children (86.1%) compared to normal children (43.5%). Similarly, the percentage of children with protein intake below the recommendation was very much higher among stunted children (30.6%) compared to 8.2% in normal children. Conclusion: Children who lacked energy and protein intakes were at a higher risk of stunting than children who had sufficient intakes. Macronutrient intakes are important and should be consumed in sufficient quantities every day to prevent stunting.

Abstract:
AbstractThis paper examines the Bā' Alawī—a group of Hadramī diaspora acknowledged as the descendants of Prophet Muhammad—in post-colonial Indonesia. In particular, it observes the Bā 'Alawī scholars' creative adaptation and manipulation of their Sufi path, tarīqa 'alawiyya, in their attempt to secure their place within the wider imagination of Indonesian nationhood while protecting their distinctive genealogical eminence. In the twentieth century the tarīqa, which had long functioned to secure their identity, differentiate them from others and nurture their diasporic consciousness, proved incompatible with the assimilationist discourse of the nation. Further challenges came from Islamic reformism, preaching egalitarianism increasingly defined public articulation of Islam, confronting the Bā 'Alawī's notion of Islamic authority. The Bā 'Alawī scholars adapted by reshaping of the tarīqa rituals, shifting emphasis on Prophetic piety, expanding the Bā 'Alawī textual community to include local scholars, and the projecting of a new form of Prophetic authority in a framework of hadīth studies. Such shifts were sustained by the construction of a new Bā 'Alawī center in Kwitang, Jakarta, and the cultivation of scholarly networks connecting the Bā 'Alawī and local kyais (Indonesian Islamic scholars). More specifically, this paper observes the career of three Bā 'Alawī scholars and their efforts to reconfigure the discursive practice of the tarīqa in the early decades of the Indonesian republic. By presenting practices recognizable to the dominant modes of Islamic reformism in the country, the Bā 'Alawī succeeded in maintaining their visibility in Sukarno's Indonesia.

Abstract:
Objective - This research aims to reveal the productivity culture existing in Rumah Makan Padang (RMP), located in Jakarta, with a view to generating a concept of productivity that is in line with RMP-based local wisdom. Methodology/Technique - An ethnographic method was employed to investigate the local perspective in the attempt to develop a new concept of productivity. Findings - The findings show that the concept of productivity existing in RMP differs from the contemporary concept of today's culture. Novelty - Whilst the conventional concept of productivity stresses on the material aspects which can be physically and financially measured with a productivity ratio of output toward input, the concept existing in RMP stresses not only on material aspects, but also spiritual aspects, to have lived in and been reflected from its uniqueness of work measurement, that is income per mato (IpM). The spiritual aspect in RMP includes a mutual belonging of the value of IDR 1, risk taking and profit sharing, proportional togetherness, spiritual leadership, hard work, bravery and willingness to sacrifice. Abstract:
Air pollution has been receiving global attention because of its effects on human health and the environment. The ability to predict the level of a pollutant concentration is important for various purposes such as for prevention and mitigation. Some papers had implemented various forecasting techniques to predict air pollution in Mexico, Spain, Malaysia. This research intends to investigate the forecasting accuracy of some air pollutants (PM10, SO2, CO, O3, and NO2) in Jakarta, Indonesia. The data are acquired daily for five measurement sites across the city, namely, Bundaran HI, Kelapa Gading, Jagakarsa, Lubang Buaya, and Kebon Jeruk during January-October of 2018. The data are fitted with Auto-Regressive Moving-Average (ARMA) models. The best model is obtained by comparing the Akaike Information Criterion (AIC) and Bayesian Information Criterion (BIC) with the relative error. The best and the most accurate model is the model with the lowest value of AIC or BIC.

Abstract:
Abstract Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) will be the largest FIFA-standard stadium in Indonesia equipped with 82,000 seating capacities, two training pitches, and retractable roof on its top. Parking lots will be limited in numbers; however, many modern public transportation systems will pass over the area to encourage people not to use private vehicles. As the Project Owner, PT. Jakarta Propertindo (Perseroda) has set the target to achieve Platinum-standard in Green Building. As of mid-July 2021, JIS was still under construction with the actual progress of around 64 %, however, its design has met the sustainability’s highest requirements as Green Building Council Indonesia (GBCI) has awarded Greenship platinum to JIS’ design with the score of 81.8%. The final assessment (FA), which includes on-site measurement and verification, will be performed after the construction is completed. This research is aimed to measure the efficacy of Greenship grade in Indonesia’s sustainable building design by comparing it with another international rating system. LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) from U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) which is famous to its stringency in energy performance assessment, was chosen to be another benchmark for this project. The result shows that if LEED criteria were applied at JIS, the design could score up to 77.4% which meet the conditions for platinum level.
