ABSTRACTObjectives: to describe about the main reasons of being against pedophilic’s castration. Methodology: review literature study by collecting data from the National Library of Medicine (PUBMed), through internet, at the website of the Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS), using the followings describers: pedophilia, disorder, castration, treatment. Results: based on the fact that pedophilia doesn’t depend on sexual act to be marked, and it is classified as a personality disorder and a sexual adult’s behavior, is what based the defense of the thesis that the castration is not the solution to this problem and it is not the best choice, because with such procedure, the person keeps his pedophilic personality, becoming possible to the health professional treat of the pathologic beings, and not only treat what affects him, because, one of the commandments of taking care is to attend each client in a holistic and a humanized way. Conclusion: it is not with a centralized method only on the biological aspect that permits to solve a psychosomatic problem; however, as it is worldwide being known as a disruption, it is necessary a prolonged care, because there is no an ex-pedophilic. Metodologia: estudo de revisão de literatura, com coleta de dados por meio da WEB da National Library of Medicine (PubMed), do site da Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS), utilizando os seguintes descritores: pedofilia, transtorno, castração e tratamento. Resultados: baseando-se no fato que a pedofilia independe do ato sexual propriamente dito, para se caracterizar, e que é classificada como transtorno de personalidade e comportamento de preferência sexual, em adulto, é que fundamenta a defesa da tese de que a castração não é solução para este problema, tão pouco melhor escolha, pois, mesmo com tal procedimento, o indivíduo mantém sua personalidade de pedófilo, sendo viável ao profissional de saúde tratar de seres patológicos e não apenas do que o afeta, pois um dos preceitos do cuidar é atender cada cliente de maneira holística e humanizada. Conclusão: não é com um método centralizado apenas no biológico que se resolve um problema de origem psicossomática, entretanto, por ser reconhecido mundialmente como um distúrbio, é necessário o cuidar continuado, uma vez que não existe ex-pedófilo. Metodología: estudio de revisión de literatura, con colecta de datos por medio de la WEB de la National Library of Medicine (PubMed) del sitio dela Biblioteca Virtual de Salud (BVS) utlilizando los siguientes descriptores: pedofilía, transtorno, castración y tratamiento. Resultados: basándose de hecho en que la pedofilia independiente del acto sexual propiamente dicho, para clasificarse, y que es clasificada como transtorno de la personalidad e comportamiento, en la preferencia sexual, del adulto, es que fundamenta la defensa de la tesis de que la castración no es solución para este problema, tampoco la mejor opción, pues, inclusive con tal procedimiento, el individuo mantiene su personalidad, siendo viable al profesional de salud tratar con seres patológicos e no apenas de lo que lo afecta, pues uno de los preceptos del cuidador es atender cada cliente de manera holística y humanitaria. Conclusión: no es con un método centralizado solamente en lo biológico que se resuelve un problema de origen psicosomática, mientras que, por ser reconocido mundialmente como un disturbio, es necesario el cuidado continuo ya que no existe es-pedófilo. Negara Republik Indonesia telah banyak memberikan perhatian terhadap hak-hak anak. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan adanya berbagai peraturan perundang-undangan yang mengatur tentang usaha kesejahteraan anak dan ikut serta Indonesia dalam menandatangai konvensi tentang anak hak-hak anak (Convention On The Right of The Child) sebagai hasil Sidang Umum PBB pada tanggal 26 Januari 1990 dan diratifikasi dengan Keputusan Presiden Republik Indonesia No 36 Tahun 1990. Namun dalam pelaksanaannya masih menghadapi berbagai kendala yang disebabkan oleh berbagai faktor, antara lain peraturan pemerintah belum semuanya diwujudkan secara efektif, kesigapan aparat dalam penegakan hukum, dan kurangnya perhatian dan peran serta masyarakat dalam permasalahan anak. Metode yang digunakan adalah yuridis normatif dengan penelitian deskriptif analitis. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan studi kepustakaan baik secara langsung maupun virtual. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa tindak pidana Pedofhilia secara eksplisit tidak di atur dalam hukum Indonesia tetapi hal ini harus di paham tentang arti Pedophilia sendiri yang di mana melakukan tindak pidana pelecehan seksual terhadap anak di bawah umur, dan anak sendiri itu di lindungi dari tindakan eksploitasi seksual yang terdapat dalam Pasal 13 Undang-undang Nomor 23 Tahun 2002 Tentang Perlindungan Anak sebagaimana telah dirubah dengan Undang-Undang Nomor 35 Tahun 2014 dan bagi pelaku tindak Pidana Pedophilia dapat dikenai Pasal 82 Undang-undang Nomor 23 Tahun 2002 Tentang Perlindungan Anak sebagaimana telah dirubah dengan Undang-Undang Nomor 35 Tahun 2014.

Abstract. Pedophilia – a disorder of sexual preference with primary sexual interest in prepubescent children – is forensically relevant yet difficult to detect using self-report methods. The present study evaluated the criterion validity of the Choice Reaction Time (CRT) task to differentiate between a sample of child sex offenders with a presumably high rate of pedophilic individuals and three control groups (other sex offenders, non-sex offenders, and community controls, all male; N = 233). The CRT task required locating a dot superimposed on images depicting men, women, girls, or boys and scrambled pictures as quickly as possible. We used two picture sets, the Not Real People (NRP) set and the Virtual People Set (VPS). We predicted sexually relevant pictures to elicit longer reaction times in interaction with the participant group. Both CRTs showed main effects of stimulus explicitness and preferred stimulus gender. The CRT-NRP also yielded an interaction effect of participant group and stimulus maturity while the CRT-VPS showed a tendency in this direction. The overall effect size was moderate. Results offer support for the usefulness of the CRT task in forensic assessment of child sex offenders.

Harmonizing national laws to protect children online with international standards is key to providing the right tools for law enforcement in dealing with child sex crimes. In the child protection survey in the digital era in ASEAN member countries, it appears that Indonesia still needs improvement in terms of legal instruments related to child protection in the context of regulations and policies in making child protection mechanisms in the virtual realm in accordance with global commitments in which Indonesia is member of several international organizations.

AbstractIn the debate about actions in virtual environments two interdependent types of question have been pondered: What is a person doing who acts in a virtual environment? Second, can virtual actions be evaluated morally? These questions have been discussed using examples from morally dubious computer games, which seem to revel in atrocities. The examples were introduced using the terminology of “virtual murder” “virtual rape” and “virtual pedophilia”. The terminological choice had a lasting impact on the debate, on the way action types are assigned and on how moral evaluation is supposed to be conducted. However, this terminology and its theoretical consequences, while sometimes resulting in correct results, lead to absurd results when applied across the board. It will be suggested that these absurd consequences can be avoided by a different answer to the question what people in virtual worlds are doing. Alleged virtual actions are first and foremost the creation and modification of data-structures and the resulting output in computer hardware. Such modifications of data structure and imagery can be performed with different intentions, purposes and styles, which will influence the type and moral evaluation of a user’s actions. This reinterpretation allows for a more complex analysis of the moral reasons for praiseworthiness or blameworthiness of actions in virtual environments. This analysis takes not just harm and effects on character into account but the peculiar ways in which speech acts can be morally wrong: e.g. agitatory, deceptive, bullshitting.

Paedophilia is a specific disorder in a spectre of sexual affinities in humans, which is in the nomenclature of the World Health Organization in the group of sexual preference disorders or paraphilia. Due to mobility, inventiveness, and invisibility, there is no relevant statistical data about this deviation’s volume and extensiveness. This paper aims to determine the prevalence of paedophiles in the general population based on an anonymous survey, the number of processed perpetrators of sexual offenses toward children, and the number of unique visitors of the Internet “decoy”. The research data were gathered through an anonymous survey (the survey was created for this research purposes, and it was an indirect, written survey) that enveloped a total of 658 individuals (60.49% males and 39.51% females) through the creation of a virtual Internet profile (1095 visitors, 89.86% males and 10.14% females), as well as through the statistical data of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Serbia (MUP RS) and the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Serbia (Directorate for Enforcement of Criminal Sanctions) over the last six years. The prevalence of paedophilia in the general population is 2.13%, and the majority is between 30 and 50 years of age. There are no relevant data on the treatment of paedophiles in penitentiary conditions. The number of submitted criminal charges for crimes with sexual violence elements toward children is much larger than the number of verdicts for the said acts. The number of crimes of sexual offenses against children in the analysed period was 1,288. Paedophilia is a complex disorder that poses a threat to public health. It is under-researched, and it calls for a multidisciplinary approach in research with the goal of preventing these forms of behaviour and the protection of children from sexual abuse.

Consequently, and drawing on theories of posthumanism, this study provides an analysis of the play regarding the nature of the relationship between humans and digital machines as well as the conflicts between the physical world and the online world. Resumo No mundo em que vivemos hoje, imerso de tecnologias, tudo se tornou muito rápido, tanto os avanços quanto os problemas. Dentre esses problemas, destacam-se os surgimentos de crimes virtuais na rede mundial de computadores. O objetivo deste artigo é analisar um projeto escolar que se tornou o objeto de uma dissertação e dar subsídios para professores, educadores, pais, parentes e amigos que desejam discutir esse assunto em espaços educativos formais e não formais. Sabemos que se trata de um assunto complexo, uma vez que há a necessidade de abordar conceitos de ciências jurídicas, de computação e agora de educação. Debater os crimes virtuais tornou-se uma necessidade urgente e provocativa. E um assunto que não podemos mais postergar a sua inserção nas escolas, mesmo sabendo dos desafios que representa discutir crimes contra a honra, a pedofilia, entre outros delitos nos meios digitais. O diálogo pode ser uma ferramenta para o trabalho preventivo e educativo sobre esse tema polêmico, principalmente quando temos como sujeitos crianças e adolescentes. Observamos, por meio das narrativas dos alunos, que as dinâmicas e atividades realizadas no projeto permitiram a efetivação dos objetivos previstos e que esses sujeitos apresentaram novas sugestões para abordagens educacionais sobre os crimes virtuais deixando-nos um aviso: o surgimento de novos pengos como a deep web. Educational approaches to virtual crimes Abstract In the immersed world of technologies we live in today, everything is very fast, both advances and problems. One of these problems may be the emergence of virtual crimes on the world wide web. The purpose of this article is to analyze a school project that has become the subject of a dissertation, as well as to give subsidies to teachers, educators, parents, relatives, friends who wish to discuss this matter in formal and non-formal educational spaces. We know that this is a complex subject, since it is necessary to approach concepts of the legal sciences, computing and now education. Debating virtual crimes is an urgent and pro vocative necessity and we cannot delay the discussion of this matter in schools, even knowing the challenges of talking about crimes against honor, pedophilia, among other crimes in the dlgital media. Dialogue can be a tool for preventive and educational work on this controversial issue, especially when our subjects are children and adolescents. We observed through the students' statements that the dynamics and activities carried out in the project allowed the fulfillment of the Intended objectives, and more, these subjects presented new suggestions for educational approaches on virtual crimes and Ieft us a warning: the emergence of new dangers such as the deep web. EI objetivo de este artículo es analizar un proyecto escolar que se ha convertido en objeto de una disertaciÓn dar subsidios para profesores, educadores, padres, parientes, amigos que desean discutir este asunto en espacios educativos formales y no formales. Sabemos que se trata de un asunto complejo, ya que se necesita abordar conceptos de las ciencias jurídicas, de la computación y ahora de la educación. Debatir los crímenes virtuales es una necesidad urgente y provocativa. Es un asunto que no podemos postergar su inserc1Ón en las escuelas, aun sabiendo de los desafios que representa discutir crímenes contra el honor, la pedofilia, entre otros delitos en los medios digitales. EI diálogo puede ser una herramienta para el trabajo preventivo y educativo sobre este polémico tema, principalmente cuando nuestros sujetos son niños y adolescentes. BackgroundTechnological developments such as Virtual reality (VR) provide new opportunities to extend and innovate mental healthcare. VR as a tool for clinical assessment has been described as promising, as it can enable real-time assessment within real-like environments or contexts as opposed to self-report and behavioral tasks in laboratory settings.ObjectiveWith this systematic review we aimed to provide an overview of recent studies using VR in the assessment of psychiatric disorders.MethodsA systematic search was performed using Pubmed, Embase, PsycInfo, and Web of Science between 2016 and 2020. Studies were included if they used immersive VR, concerned assessment of psychiatric symptoms/disorders, and included adult patients with psychiatric disorders.ResultsThe search resulted in 3,163 potentially eligible articles, from which a total of 27 studies fulfilled inclusion criteria. Most studies considered anxiety (n = 7), addictive, (n = 7), or psychotic disorders (n = 5). Regarding ADHD (n = 3), PTSD (n = 3), and pedophilic disorder (n = 1), a few studies had been performed since 2016. The majority of the included studies compared patient groups to healthy control groups.DiscussionRecent studies on VR-assisted psychiatric assessments have been conducted to validate VR environments, to assess symptoms for diagnostics or therapy goals, search for biomarkers, and to gain knowledge on psychiatric disorders. VR tasks were able to detect some difference between patient and healthy control groups, mainly with regard to self-report measures. A presente pesquisa tem por objetivo demonstrar e evidenciar os principais delitos tendo por suporte o meio e o sistema informático, em especial aqueles praticados por e contra crianças e adolescentes. Ter-se-ão em conta as modificações que surgiram no código penal brasileiro, no Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente, após a criação e o rápido crescimento da rede mundial de computadores, enfatizando, os modus operandis que os criminosos que utilizam meios eletrônicos para conseguir sucesso nos seus delitos. Tratando-se de um público alvo extremamente vulnerável, seja pela pouca idade ou pela pequena experiência de vida, constituem presa fácil daqueles que, sem escrupulos, invadem a vida destes indivíduos. Muitas organizações criminosas utilizam a internet, mais especificamente a parte obscura desta, como ferramenta para cometer e melhor articular seus delitos, já que sua identidade será facilmente escondida, dificultando assim a sua localização e posteriormente possíveis punições. Este trabalho busca mostrar as atualizações no mundo delitivo virtual, ou seja, a evolução da criminalidade em diversos aspectos no sentido do aproveitamento das ferramentas tecnológicas, fazendo uma análise da legislação concernente ao tema, dando maior enfoque às novas tipificações que surgiram na lei que trata da proteção à criança e ao adolescente e que estão diretamente relacionados ao universo virtual e informático.
The present research aims to demonstrate and highlight the main crimes that can be practiced through the computer system, especially those practiced by adolescents and adolescents.
