Abstract:
Electrical and electronic experiment teaching is an indispensable and important part of engineering teaching. Oscilloscope is an indispensable experimental instrument in the teaching of these experiments, which is used to measure the electrical signals in the experimental process for analysis and processing. In this paper, a dual-channel virtual oscilloscope was designed based on the PC 16-bit sound card, which could correctly collect electronic signals within ±1V. Through LabVIEW graphical programming and multi-threading technology, these functions such as waveform display, channel selection control, parameter measurement and display, waveform storage and playback were realized. The innovation of this design is that it could automatically generate experimental report, simplifying the tedious operations such as drawing waveforms and filling parameters, finally quickly getting illustrated experimental report. From the test results, it can meet the requirements of daily experimental teaching, and it is of great significance to improve the quality of electrical and electronic experimental teaching.

Abstract:
The paper describes a control and measurement system for controlling and analysing operation of a stepper motor. The system design is based on the concept of virtual instrument, where data acquisition and transmission use standard solutions, whereas software serves both as a generator and a measurement system – an oscilloscope. The generator allows efficient control of motor operation in the following control modes: wave, full-step and half-step control. There were no winding powering sequence errors observed. The measurement system allows presenting and analysing voltage waveforms in individual windings with possibility to detect couplings and overvoltages. It was also shown that it is possible to detect locking of rotor rotation. The proposed virtual instruments have open structure, which enables extended analysis based on available measurements or expand range of measurements as long as measurement and control system instrumentation allows that.

Abstract:
It is very important to do some preliminary analysis and processing of the time delay signal before the time delay estimation for the target orientation of the multi-sensor network. In this paper, a virtual instrument time delay analysis system is designed, which contains: a virtual oscilloscope, a virtual spectrum analyzer, a virtual filter and a virtual time delay analyzer. By the use of this analysis system, the spectrum of the seismic target signal collected in the field is analyzed. Analysis shows the main frequency of the target signal: 13Hz, 85Hz, 170Hz, 125Hz. Distinctness of the time delay peak is proposed to describe the validation of the cross-correlation result. Based on the three main frequency components, signals were filtered by five filters and analyzed separately. Results were shown in figures of time delay vs. time, distinctness vs. time. Each curve in a figure corresponds to a certain number of points of cross correlation. According to the results, the frequency component from 8Hz to 30Hz is much more suitable for practical use. The regular pattern of the time delay curve is consistent with the target motion. Application reveals that the system is helpful in the research of time delay estimation.

Abstract:
The article considers the main possibilities of virtual reality tools to support the STEAM approach in general education institutions. The focus is on the benefits of virtual reality for the implementation of STEAM education. The statistics of the law firm Perkins Coie LLP and XR Association «Determining the role of industry in the future of immersive technologies» on the research of the implementation of augmented and virtual realities in 2019. The attitude of teachers of general education institutions of Ukraine to the use of virtual reality in the implementation of the STEAM approach is analyzed. Particular attention is paid to VR applications for the STEAM approach in general school. Some virtual reality applications for general education institutions are offered, such as Google Expeditions, 3D Organon Anatomy, Lecture VR, StarTracker VR-Mobile Sky Map, Nano2d, VR Roller Coaster, Volumetric oscilloscope, Calcflow and others. We concluded that the use of virtual reality opens up many new opportunities in learning and STEAM education that are too complex, time consuming or expensive with traditional approaches. Virtual reality is able not only to provide information about the phenomenon itself, but also to demonstrate it with any degree of detail. A virtual educational environment is a creative environment in which learning is possible with the motivation of students, their emotional uplift and a positive, optimistic mood. A necessary condition for the use of a virtual educational environment is the implementation of a personality-oriented approach and the development and improvement of teaching methods, in particular in the fields of STEAM. Prospects for further research are the design of the STEAM model of oriented educational environment using virtual reality tools.

Abstract:
We have implemented a pair of database projects, one serving cortical electrophysiology and the other invertebrate neurones and recordings. The design for each combines aspects of two proven schemes for information interchange. The journal article metaphor determined the type, scope, organization and quantity of data to comprise each submission. Sequence databases encouraged intuitive tools for data viewing, capture, and direct submission by authors. Neurophysiology required transcending these models with new datatypes. Time–series, histogram and bivariate datatypes, including illustration–like wrappers, were selected by their utility to the community of investigators. As interpretation of neurophysiological recordings depends on context supplied by metadata attributes, searches are via visual interfaces to sets of controlled–vocabulary metadata trees. Neurones, for example, can be specified by metadata describing functional and anatomical characteristics. Permanence is advanced by data model and data formats largely independent of contemporary technology or implementation, including Java and the XML standard. All user tools, including dynamic data viewers that serve as a virtual oscilloscope, are Java–based, free, multiplatform, and distributed by our application servers to any contemporary networked computer. Copyright is retained by submitters; viewer displays are dynamic and do not violate copyright of related journal figures. Panels of neurophysiologists view and test schemas and tools, enhancing community support.
