Full textMy dissertation examines the political socialization of rural youth in Switzerland. Based on a long-term ethnography of juvenile sociabilities in the cantons of Vaud and Fribourg, it aims at capturing the processes of political learning among apolitical organizations : the rural youth organizations. By tracing back the previous processes of socialization and by focusing on rural youth’s perception of their own cultural practices, my dissertation shows how they form a particular group in rural areas. Hence, it describes how the rural youth learn to attach value to the moral of effort and duty, that distinguishes themselves from other social groups, whether they come from the "top" or the "bottom". In this context, sexuality plays a major role. It makes hetero-masculine perseverance one of the criteria for acquiring social respectability. Finally, this work deals with the translation of a worldview characterized by class and gender inequalities into the field of politics. It shows that if young people learn how to push politics aside in order to avoid the imposition of cultural domination in their youth organisation, they are encouraged to adopt a "positive" vision of politics and to develop a sense of civic duty

Abstract: The one that appears in Villa-Lobos's official catalog of works as his first composition for guitar - the Suíte Popular Brasileira - came to the public only in the 1950s, it is, in the last years of the composer's career. This set of five pieces, seen by many authors as a tribute by Villa-Lobos to the popular musicians of Rio de Janeiro, a tribute given at the time when it is believed that the composer lived in the friendly company of these musicians, is seen, in this dissertation, by another prism. Here, the gap between the supposed conception of the work and its publication appears as a testimony to the complexity and ambiguity that permeates Villa- Lobos's relationship with popular music and the way in which this relation participates in the sense attributed by the composer to his life. Observing it from this new angle implied putting into question and analysis: 1) the basis of the interpretation that is usually made of the meaning of this work, that is, the privileged place that Villa-Lobos occupies in the musical memory of Brazil and the musicological discourses consolidated around him; 2) how Villa-Lobos built his life trajectory in the dialogue with the popular music and the trails of the Suíte Popular Brasileira that were sedimenting and acquiring meaning throughout this trajectory. The discussions and conclusions present in this dissertation are based on a bibliographical and documentary research about the mentioned points. Its theoretical starting point belongs to Ethnomusicology, but its development would not be possible without an immersion in texts of the social sciences, history and philosophy. Keywords: Villa-Lobos. Suíte Popular Brasileira. Popular music. Art music.

Full textThe thesis analyzes the resettlement of the population of pozzuoli - a city of 70. 000 inhabitants in the urban area of naples, italy - into a new area of public housing colled monteruscello. Monteruscello was constructed by the ministry of civil protection after bradyseism and an earth-quake struck the area of pozzuoli in the years between 1984-86. The sociopolitical trends that broght about the decision to construct the first true "new town" designed by the architecture departement of the university of naples is examined. The controversies that accompanied this impressive urban achievement are also reviewed. Field work reconstructs the significance of the change in residence from the new settlement's inhabitants points of view. In particular, the social practices of collective use and management of space are studied. The interpretation of the gathered material is not limited to the investigated situation. On the contrary, the social practices of the appropriation of space found in monteruscello are linked to the socio-cultural context of which they are a part. In conclusion it is demonstrated that even a city like monteruscello, an urban area "without history", can undergo a process of conferment of meaning and of the production of a sens of belonging. This sheld light upon the social effects of urban planning and allows for its re-examination

Full textThe research carried out in different fields of inquiries, relates to aberberoarabic tribe from the south of moroco which went through two waves of migration. The first one went from the village of their origin to the big morocan cities -casablanca is the most attractive-, the second one goes from the morocan cities to the villages and cities in france. Some of the migrants went directly from their village of their origin to france. The aim of this research consists of analysing the geographical dissolution of the tribe, measuring the cultural and religious changes of those who emigrated from the village ; and the shock for those who remained, and this through in islams land religion and culture are hightly bound. The research is carried out on two levels : - a study of models inside the muslim religion - a study in the field about the lived and practised sense of these models as well about time (history), than about space (muslim land, non-muslim land)

Full textMy PhD dissertation contains the detailed study of the pottery finds from the Hungarian excavations of the « Grandes Forges » insula. The insula is located in the oppidum of Bibracte (Le Mont Beuvray, Burgundy). The primary aim of this work is not only to study and to publish the pottery finds of the different occupation layers but also to contribute to the results of the already existing ceramic studies of the oppidum of Bibracte. My work offers a chronology to the « Grandes Forges » insula, an archeological site of great importance where the remains of the roman basilica of Bibracte have been found. Finally my work tries to give a better understanding of the chronology and provides a survey of the pottery finds of the oppidum of Bibracte
