Abstract:
This article is written in Frech.

Abstract:
Comment y arrive-t-on ?

Abstract:

Abstract:
This research stemmed from the will to understand whether sponsorship immigration laws had an impact on relationships between men and women who chose to immigrate through this channel. At first glance, this law facilitating family reunification for permanent residents or citizens can seem positive, especially for women. The accounts of the ten women who took part in my research demonstrate that on the contrary, the situation is extremely complex and sometimes leads to diverse forms of violence. It also contributes to the creation of asymmetric relationships and inequalities among couples. The semi-directed interviews conducted with sponsored immigrant women living in Québec City clearly show that this immigration procedure has its own particularities, and that its effects on the subjects’ lives are not just positive.

Abstract:
The subjects of this the sis are the investigations of the rese archer who explores, with his experience as a sports educator, the world of football, its gods, its cerem onies, its clergy, as if it were a religion. This approach allo ws him to show sever al phenomena which motivate children in their double actor/spectator approach of the world of football. But his meeting with sociology, ethno methodology and anthropology ; his research is directed to this new view on daily practices of a group of football players. This research deals with the noti on of transvers e, making the li nk with observation, description (accountabil ity as the e thno methodologists call it), "the particular attention". . . Of the world in which we live, breathe, hear, see, smell, touch. His analyses had to integrate the process of objectiv ity, even if, sometimes, the proper implication of the educator-researcher could have affected the neutrali ty about the description of the activities observed, seen, noticed, listened, heard. The fact that he is a "man of the m iddle" made ea sy the genesis of all these descriptions about the players, the m oments, the situatio ns, the inter-actions into the group (under study); the fact that he is" a body swimming in this world" mad~ easy the genesis of all these sensations, sens ibilities, em otions which were expressed during hi s meeting with the players of this group ; The fact that he is a m an who works a lot on the spirit of m ind made a Iso easy the explications, comprehensions, interpretation s. Indeed, it is the comprehension of the actio ns taken by the members of the village (as the ethno methodologists would do), the comprehension of the field studied which made the common sense accepted by all emerged and by all this resear ch pointed out. Finally, the development of this thesis consists of four points. The first part as ks the question of the religi ous genesis of the sport: defin itions, perception s, structures and process. The second part as ks the question of th e religious Pantheon of sports link with the problem of modern capitalism. It is the link 'between money and football. The third part shows a relation between an analyze of data of questions and the preoccupations of the educator-researcher by his impli cation and intervention (interviews on the field. . . ). Abstract:
Our purpose is to understand, on the basis of Edith Stein’s work, the link between the structure of human person and education. Educate is assuming the question : “What is human being ?” On the one hand, Stein does not organize systematically her conception of education, so that we must put in evidence the unity of that vision of education through her work. On the other hand, Stein refuses to derive education from a programmatic anthropology. Our hypothesis of research is : the human person is not a reality yet constituted but developing through a process which “embraces the body, the soul and the spirit”. On the basis of a phenomenological analysis of the constitution of the human person, we will examine the possibilities of her development and its ultimate finality as a possibility of her freedom

This study, adopting a close approach through the individual life-stories of people directly affected by the HIV virus, is an attempt to understand now only react and cope with this situation in their everyday lives. To what extent does one announcement of a threat modify their everyday lives? What sort of problems arise? What changes are gradually taking place as the disease develops. The first part describes a few major typologies on which our work is based; the second is made up of three chapters: the announcement of a seropositive diagnosis, a silent evolution, and the passage to full blown AIDS. Our purpose has been to differentiate the diverse aspects of experience and to find out how social interactions influence emotional and interpersonal life. The third part we have tried to bring out the anthropological forms that are predominant and the ones that are built up to face this ordeal. This reality characterized by a high dependence on the surrounding word, is made up of social exclusion and community links in which a certain view of life is rooted

Abstract:
The business organisation and family life. Setting -up into illegality. This ethnographic type research explores the life-stories of actors involved into cannabis and stolen cars traffics in order to reveal the rational behind their setting-up into illegality. The illegal practices are not dissociated from other aspects of the trafficker's life as family life for instance. Namely traffickers try hard to make coexist their legal end illegal practices in order to give coherence to their social identity. These efforts concern amongst other issues all the individual relationships with cleints, neighbours, peers, lovers and parents. This sociology of setting-up differs from sociology of delinquency as well as from academic studies concerning underground economy. This approach allows to no longer consider these illegal practices as exotic but to enhance their singular character

Abstract:
AbstractThis chapter explores in greater detail the motivations for and processes of the construction of masculinity within ethnomusicology. Understanding the centuries-long feminization of music in Western culture, anthropology and its methodology—fieldwork—are revealed as utilized in the creation of a specifically academic masculinity. However, while fieldwork is instrumental in the creation of one facet of masculinity (i.e., representation of a self marked by bravado, courage, intrepidness; the ‘anthropologist as hero’), it is argued that for the largely white, privileged male academic, recourse to such stereotypes alone is insufficient. As such, it is intellect and rationality, manifesting via the use and production of Theory (itself coded as masculine) that allow for the maintaining of power over the musical, the racialized Other, and the positivistic, feminized musicologist.

Abstract:
The paper examines Friedrich Schleiermacher’s 1799 review of Immanuel Kant’s Anthropology from a Pragmatic Point of View. Schleiermacher’s critique, published anonymously in the Athenaeum, adopts a harsh and ironic tone, deeming Kant’s work as trivial and flawed. Schleiermacher argues that Kant’s attempt to reconcile systematic and popular elements within his anthropology led to its failure, coining the term “Kantology” to refer to a superficial study of Kant’s personality rather than a substantive contribution to anthropology. Schleiermacher contends that Kant’s anthropology is internally inconsistent and overly reliant on a rigid distinction between physiological and pragmatic anthropology. According to Schleiermacher, this distinction oversimplifies human nature by neglecting the necessary unity between bodily and mental aspects. The paper highlights how Schleiermacher’s review is an important critique of Kant’s Anthropology, providing insights into both Kant’s and Schleiermacher’s philosophical views. Schleiermacher criticizes Kant’s approach as falling into “lower realism,” missing the transcendental and “higher realism” that he associates with religion and human freedom. Despite its acerbic tone, the review is seen as a valuable contribution to the study of Kant’s anthropology and Schleiermacher’s philosophical development. Schleiermacher’s review raises fundamental questions about the compatibility of Kant’s anthropology with his broader critical philosophy and offers a re-evaluation of how Kant’s ideas on human nature, freedom, and history are integrated into his system of thought.

Abstract:
The article discusses the textual features of advertising. Recently, along with the continuing interest in advertising practice, more and more attention has been paid to the theoretical aspects of advertising, through fields such as linguistics, psychology, sociology, psycho and sociolinguistics, semiotics, cultural studies, and art history. This article presents a theoretical interpretation of advertising discourse in modern Uzbekistan. I consider the linguistic aspect, and the concept of a text as topical issues. The theoretical basis of the research is work on the theory of discourse and communicative interaction, and work that justifies an anthropocentric approach to a language in general and its categories in particular.

Abstract:
Until November 1995, Pomak villages were confined to the parts of Greek Thrace bounded by a bar. As a remnant of the ‘iron curtain,’ the bar kept these populations and their language isolated. This restriction forced people into introversion, self-reliance and conservatism. These tendencies were reflected in the Pomak, along with an attempt at cultural self-identification, which is generally observed in minority languages. After the removal of the bar and the reconnection with Greek society, Pomak has continued to be used orally, and by only a few specific circles to be spoken publicly, e.g., in the online newspaper Zagalisa. What nowadays characterizes the Pomak is extroversion, but at the same time with a tendency for differentiation (νασές Πομάτσκες γιεζίκ / nases Pomakski jazik), for self-determination, and selective memory management. The selective use of the imperfect verb tense (formed as present perfect continuous) in narratives and narratives related to cultural data highlights the cultural and political dimension of language. Simple present and simple past tenses dominate the modern narratives, clearly indicating the concerns of the linguistic groups that represent them: Pomak cultural identity in the present and in the past. A bounded Pomak linguistic and cultural tradition, continuing through space and time, after the bar-removal, in fact, became ...Unbounded. Both the transition and the adaptation of the Pomak to the new global linguistic environment were the main research lines of this study.

Abstract:
This paper aims to describe urban folklore studies in Greece during the 20th century, through an ethnography of the field. I focus particularly on the 1950s and 1960s, because these decades were crucial for the field of urban folklore. Hundreds of thousands of internal migrants from various areas of Greece, and from outside of the country, have swarmed towards Greece’s major urban centres, thus spurring the gradual development of peculiar and at times incomplete urbanization. In this framework, we examine the significance of holistic research in urban space from a perspective of folkloristics, the significance of the ethnographic method introduced by Dimitrios Loukatos that influenced the field of urban folklore in Greece, and the relations of cooperation between folkloristics and social and cultural anthropology with regards to urban space. In addition to discussing the history of the science of folklore, I focus on research methodology and a framework of examining a context locally. More specifically, regarding research methodology, modern folklorists introduced the ‘ethnographic method’ of social phenomena research, i.e., examination through field ethnographic research at a particular space and time, and in this case, the urban center. This contribution was slightly significant as it differentiates folk research from the previous method based on lemmata, which examined phenomena within time and not contemporarily, in the present. Finally, we analyze the ethnographic method, a methodological approach which today is the most common approach in Greek folklore studies. This research methodology is predicated on the following; field research (participant observation, semi-structured questions, life narrations, focus groups, etc.), archival research, and literary testimonies under certain conditions, mainly at times when we refer to the urban folklore of the past. Here, we also act to support the opinion that an approach that is exclusively based on archival or literary material and that does not take into account field research is unilateral and not complete.

Abstract:
The worldview war is an important front of the aggression initiated by Russia against Ukraine. The need to be more competent when partaking of today’s flow of information necessitates an analysis of the means of verbal suggestion and manipulation used by the aggressor. It is shown in the paper that key features characterizing the ongoing worldview warfare (consciental, cognitive, conceptual) include chaotization, narrativity, an increased number of pathogenic texts and a high suggestivity. We distinguish the following types of suggestive (manipulative) influence: verbal suggestion, paraverbal suggestion and non-verbal suggestion. Verbal suggestion plays the leading role here. The aggressor’s dominating intentions in using verbal suggestion means are uncovered and efficiency of counter-suggestion analysed. Our analysis gives a sweeping overview of which verbal means may be available to amp a society’s capacity to be mobilized for a purpose, in times when national unity becomes a matter of survival.

Abstract:
Vietnamese proverbs has created long-lasting values which are being passed on to the modern society with numerous passions. These values include humanistic values confirming the human position in life. They also comprise social values and human philosophy as well as aesthetic values. Therefore, typical proverbs of the Viet people which have beem transferred to the younger generations via literary works such as Việt điện u linh (A collection of Vietnamese misteries) in the 14th century, Lĩnh Nam chích quái (A selection of the Viet extraordinary stories) in the 15th century are still being passed on until the present days. With the foundation of traditional Vietnamese proverbs, modern proverbs have undergone profound changes as seen in modern life through different forms of media including printed and audiovisual media as well as internet. It is obvious that traditional proverbs has regenerated in the new appearance. Proverbs are reproduced in modern literary works. Proverbs are also recreated and transformed in prose, poetry and drama. The movement and development of proverbs in our modern society confirm their deep values of the traditional culture. Writers, journalists and artists of other art forms have not only received the art tradition of word use of the ancestors but more importantly they have inherited the culural environment, humanistic values and life philosophies in order to transfer to the next generations. Henceforth, in the modern society Vietnamese proverbs are not obliterated but remain their vitality with different forms and have been of the Vietnamese people’s favourite.

Abstract:
Most research on children with atypical language has focused on language difficulties per se, such as difficulties in syntax, vocabulary, speech production, or pragmatic competence. Whereas there is ample evidence that language difficulties lead to literacy difficulties (Stackhouse and Wells 1997), the social dimension of these difficulties very often goes overlooked and thus requires scholarly work. However, in order to develop a comprehensive view of language impairment, one would also do well to take into consideration the range of factors related to the language-impaired individual, their home, and to other domestic environments, their educational experiences, and the overall social environment of the person. For example, children who exhibit traits of language impairment often experience behavioural and emotional difficulties. These difficulties may continue into adulthood and may affect academic achievements (Botting et al. 2016). These difficulties have a significant impact on the relationships between the language-impaired person, their fellow students, and their teachers. Moreover, extensive research has suggested that factors such as parents’ education and socio-economic status, parental attitudes, parental involvement and responsiveness all influence language socialization in non-typically developing children (Law et al. 2019). Those who exhibit elements of language-impairment may also experience difficulties in their recurring and hence common everyday situations. These situations and actions within these situations include money transactions or the need to complete official documents (Gur et al. 2020; Winstanley et al. 2018). As such, this paper constitutes a critical review of social factors implicated in language impairment. The paper first attempts a review of literature, followed by and including a critical review of this literature. The paper then attempts to place this literature and its accompanying research within a current context of language impairment. Following, the paper discusses the current state of research on language impairment through an ethnographic view. Finally, the paper concludes on current work and hence the current state of language impairment. Overall, we conclude that educators and policy makers need to take into consideration the aforementioned factors in order to not only support language in the atypical development of the individual, but also to ensure that language-impaired people are able to experience a good quality life.

Abstract:
The paper deals with cultural conceptualisations of events as they are reflected in the cinematic lexicon. Three main goals are followed throughout the paper: 1) to emphasize that the cinema-related vocabulary involves the same concepts when it denotes extra-linguistic realities specific to the world of film; 2) to illustrate the shift from culture specific, to cross-cultural events (and vice versa), and 3) to indicate that the cinematic lexicon metonymically reflects these complementary moves (globalisation / localisation). In order to achieve these goals, we adopt the analytical tools of Cultural Linguistics, with an emphasis on cultural metaphors. We investigate the relationship between cultural conceptualisations and commonplaces, and reach the conclusion that patterns of thought trigger patterns of language, many of which are cross-cultural, as indicated by the fact that the structures used to convey such shared blocks of knowledge in different languages display either formal resemblance or shared semantic content. Another conclusion is that the cultural conceptualisations within the cinematic field are closely connected with the Oscar Awards Ceremony, which has become a landmark in the film industry, and is often replicated in other international film galas, exceeding the borders of a given culture as a result of multiculturalism and globalisation. ‘Localisation’ (the shift from cross-cultural to culture-specific events) is also possible. Yet, it should be regarded as an exception, since cinema illustrates interferences and identities which, from a cultural perspective, are common to geographic spaces that are located at significant distance from one another.

Abstract:
Languages in Canada, especially French, continue to reflect the history and power domination of its European origins. French is one of the official languages of Canada, but is also a minority language for some of its communities outside of the province of Québec, which is situated in Eastern Canada. It is protected by strong ideological and political influence, and by law. In this paper, I would like to reflect on how historical, cultural, and social aspects of French are reproduced and also on how transnational fluidity and multilingual practices are deconstructing or unbounding the idea of how French is seen in one Canadian province: Alberta. This Western Province has a strong conservative base and still has issue with French being an official language, a reminiscence of the past. Drawing on my work (Roy 2020), I take a sociolinguistic for change perspective, where historical and social understandings allow for critical view of ideologies and social change. I also examine and investigate social processes (e.g., social categorization, marginalization, etc.), and how ideologies can impact as well as impede processes of social identity construction and socialization into language pedagogies. In addition, I employ Pennycook and Makoni’s (2020) idea that, as researchers, we will self-reflect and be open to adopt a dialectic and multiple perspectives on the data collected. My data arises from longitudinal and sociolinguistic ethnographic studies in Alberta over a period of 15 years. Here, I interviewed participants (students, parents, administrators, teachers) in schools, particularly French immersion schools, as well as outside schools, in order to locate discourses related to French, where those discourses come from, and the long-term effects of those discourses, particularly for those learning French. I also include new data collected with multilingual students learning French. By looking at new discourses from multilingual youth learning French, and by observing their repertoires, I can demonstrate how the ‘old’ can be unbounded by youth’s everyday practices.

Abstract:
Broadcasting and television are two popular types of media, with more audience than other types of media in Viet Nam today. Tay-Nung is a common language of two ethnic groups with the largest population of ethnic minorities in Viet Nam. Research on broadcasting and television in the Tay-Nung language is importance research, involving both journalism and the science of language. On the basis of surveys on the state of broadcasting in Tay-Nung language and the attitude, needs and aspirations of the Tay and Nung ethnicity on this activity, this article aims to describe and evaluate the current status of broadcasting in the Tay-Nung language, thereby proposing ways and means to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of broadcasting in Tay- Nung language. The main methods used in this study are a scientific observation method, a sociological survey method (interviews, discussions, investigation by questionnaires), method of description (analytical, statistical, classification, systematization) and a comparison method. Research data is collected from relevant documents and from the use of sociological survey methods. The subject of the article is the broadcast in Tay-Nung language activities in Viet Nam at present. This subject is considered in the following aspects; the places, the levels of broadcasting and television; the choice and use of language / dialect; attitude, needs and aspirations of the recipients, and some ways and solutions to be implemented. Research results of the project will help the Ministry of Information and Communication, in radio and television, to develop specific suggestions on the choice of type and level of communication. At the same time, the Viet Nam has also suggested the development of policies related to communication in ethnic minority languages. Raising the effectiveness of broadcasting in the Tay-Nung language will contribute to the preservation of language and culture; will improve quality of life for the Tay and Nung ethnicity and will contribute to sustainable development of nations in the renewal period. The work will inform work by the State, the Ministry of Information and Communication, should the State and the Ministry of Information and Communications pay attention to this timely guidance. Results will contribute to studies on communication in ethnic minority languages in Viet Nam or on communication in Tày Nùng in Southeast Asia.

Full text
Abstract:
In this talk, I will juxtapose the mythological figure of trickster with the biblical figure of Cain. In doing so, my purpose is to shed light on the dynamics of human thinking. Trickster is a potent symbol of humanity. It is found in the oral literatures of tribal peoples worldwide, in the context of which his mode of thinking and acting is amply demonstrated. Trickster became widely known to the Western world as a unique expression of humanity, mainly through the works of the anthropologist Paul Radin and the psychologist Carl Jung. Trickstering is a unique human quality which concerns a one-way logic of being in the world. Trickster’s flow of consciousness moves from a center or point of departure outwards, having no destination, and is defined by the lack of any subject / object differentiation. Trickster stands ideally for abductive logic, to use the philosopher Charles Saunders Peirce’s terminology, as opposed to the other two Peircean kinds of logic, inductive and deductive, which I take to represent together the logic of Cain. In the case of Cain, human thinking is characterized by the subject / object divide, which introduces an epistemological and, eventually, a reflexive dualism, with serious, moral, and ethical implications. Cain’s logic flows from the particular to the whole and vice versa, inductively or deductively, as it is defined and determined by the mental law of ‘Two’ in the thinker’s or actor’s reflexive relationship with the world – his or her physical, social, and spiritual cosmos. After setting the stage for a critical encountering between the primitive trickster and the biblical Cain, I will interpret their exchanges and incompatible expressions regarding their non-reflexive and reflexive ways of being in the world, respectively. Finally, I will turn to music and allegory, attempting to blend these two fundamental components of humanity with the archetypal characters of trickster and Cain. It is in the context of such a dialogue that trickster’s encounter with Cain acquires its musical and allegorical momentum, and sheds light through its abductive othering to the question of interpretation and human consciousness.
