Abstract:
The research on environmental communication (EC) development framework, actually, on development of the whole set of its complementary instruments – environmental information, education, public participation and pro-environmental behaviour as according to the Collaborative and Action Oriented Communication (CAOC) model (Ernsteins, 2016), has been performed at the local governance level and summarizes experiences of managing environmentally sound Latvian municipalities during the last decade. Also a case study was conducted for one specific municipal-lity - Valmiera city municipality, aiming to establish EC system, where CAOC communication model has been purposefully applied when EC specialist position was introduced (2012), and, particularly, since the statutory Municipal Development Program (2014) and the voluntary Environmental Declaration (2015) have been approved by the City Council.

Abstract:
Přehledová studie zpracovává aktuální domácí a zahraniční přístupy k využívání videa v učitelském vzdělávání. Poukazuje na kontinuitu vývoje, kdy se videozáznamy původně pořizované pro výzkumné účely v přibývající míře používají v přípravném a dalším vzdělávání učitelů. Přehledová studie je rozvržena do čtyř částí. V první části je pojednán kontext učitelského vzdělávání, v němž se videa používají, a je zde představeno devět vybraných přístupů, které jsou v odborné literatuře zdokumentovány. Ve druhé části jsou zodpovídány čtyři otázky, které si přehledová studie klade: (1) Jak je daný přístup začleněn do rámcové koncepce učitelského vzdělávání / podpory profesního rozvoje? (2) Jaké cíle/účely stojí v základu daného přístupu? (3) Jaké komponenty jsou součástí celku a jakou plní funkci? (4) Jaké konkrétní aktivity (uživatelů, popř. tutorů či tvůrců) jsou s videem v rámci přístupu realizovány a co se jimi má rozvíjet? Ve třetí části přehledové studie jsou diskutovány výzvy, které se v dané oblasti objevují, jakkoliv ještě mnohdy nejsou reflektovány v související odborné literatuře. Jedná se o možnosti využití virtuální reality a 360o videí a o možnostech simulované a inscenované výuky jako alternativě videozáznamů – to vše v etických souvislostech využívání videa v učitelském vzdělávání. Čtvrtá část přehledové studie je výhledem, který se pokouší odpovědět na otázku, zda lze formulovat určitá měkká doporučení (guidelines), která by mohla vést vývoj v této oblasti.Přehledová studie zpracovává aktuální domácí a zahraniční přístupy k využívání videa v učitelském vzdělávání. Abstract:
This exegesis looks at interactive, network based video through the development and use of experimental works. The works are described in terms of the concepts, techniques and theories explored and their implications for future works and theory. It documents the formal and technical experiments which were used to investigate the affordances of network based video for real time interaction, and tracks the development of vidgets as audio-visual tools and instruments as they increased in complexity and function, finally being specifically designed for use in live audiovisual (VJ) performances. It explains how ideas originating from the histories of sound art and systems based art as were used as frameworks for conceptualising and developing interactive screen based works. The term 'all-data' is devised as a means to describe both the network based digital environment which these new works inhabit and the expanded palette of digital signals which may be used and inco rporated into the works themselves. Through processes of action research and critical reflection, it identifies and explores a number of techniques and attributes which are common to interactive, network based video production as a practice and which may be used in a range of future projects.

This thesis deals with advanced methods of digital video postproduction and distribution using broadcasting technologies and internet protocol. Describes and compares the distribution methods, using information technology and discusses the current problems. Describes digitization methods and methods that can save bandwidth for distribution. Deals with the possible practical implementation of distribution od three dimensional video to upcoming standards and analyzes the possibilities of their future development. Discusses the overall problems of transmission standardization and advanced video coding. In a conclusion, based on a comparison of methods and practical experience of the author, thesis recommends certain procedures to implement to the standard and specifies the direction of the technological solutions.

Abstract:
Diploma thesis is focused on real-time 4K video encoding using NVENC technology. First chapter describes the most used video codecs H.264 and HEVC. There is an explanation of the principle of graphic cards and their programmable units. Analysis of the solution of open source Video Codec SDK is also part of the thesis. The main focus of the thesis is an implementation of an application which can handle 4K video encoding from multiple cameras in real time. Performance and qualitative tests were performed for application. Results of these tests were analyzed and discussed.

Denna studie avser att undersöka och analysera fyra verksamma lärares uppfattningar om det vidgade textbegrepp som uttrycks i kursplanen i svenska 2000 och vilken betydelse deras uppfattning om det begreppet får för elevers undervisning i svenskämnet. Studien ska dessutom undersöka och analysera deras uppfattningar om hur ett vidgat textbegrepp kan förstås och relateras gentemot styrdokumenten i svenskämnet. För att fånga fyra lärares uppfattningar om ett vidgat textbegrepp och vilken betydelse deras uppfattning får för deras elevers svenskundervisning, har intervjuer genomförts i grundskolan med fyra lärare i år 6-9. Förhoppningen var att dessa intervjuer skulle ge en bild av verksamma lärares uppfattning om ett vidgat textbegrepp och hur det gestaltas i deras undervisning. Resultatdelen i uppsatsen upplyser om de fyra lärarnas olika uppfattningar om ett vidgat textbegrepp och vilken betydelse det får för elevers undervisning i svenskämnet.

The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze the understanding, of four teachers, about the wide text concept as it is put in the Swedish curriculum of 2000, and what meaning their opinion has for their teaching in Swedish arts. Furthermore it will look into and analyze their comprehension about how a wide text concept can be understood and be related to the governing documents in Swedish arts. In order to catch the opinion about the wide text concept of four teachers and to see what significance their comprehension about it shows in their teaching, we have interviewed four teachers of Swedish arts in the years 6-9. The expectation was that these interviews should picture active teachers understanding about a wide text concept and how it is shown in their teaching. The result part in this essay informs about these four teachers different comprehension about a wide text concept and what significance it gets for the teaching of their students in Swedish arts.

This dissertation thesis describes the area of multimedia semantics which is a research area that brings together research streams that until recently run separately. The aim of the work is to provide an insight to all areas from this wide discipline and give an outlook on current problems especially to the semantic gab phenomena. Number of findings and outcomes in this work comes from international project K-Space, in which the author took part for three years. The extensive theoretical introduction into problematic is followed by a list state-of-the-art application from this area and overview of KIZI activities and involvements in the European project. The contribution of the work is a research on textual resources complementary to video and experiments with automatic detection of sporting events based on pre-classified examples and trained model. The practical contribution is also a demo web application that shows all the resources together and allows non-linear browsing of events.

Abstract

This study deals with Swedish upper secondary school teachers' approaches to an expanded text concept. Attitudes mediated through media as well as “the new languages” that media give rise to, imply new conditions for the activities in school. As a necessary adaptation to the new conditions given by the media forces, the Swedish upper secondary school 1994 incorporated “an expanded text concept” in the syllabus for the Swedish language.

The focus of the study is how Swedish upper secondary school teachers' work to meet and challenge the students' in an expanded text concept. The study is founded on interviews with five teachers, who to a greater extent integrate an expanded text concept in their teaching. In addition information about literary instruction is collected and analysed. The theoretical framework consists of theories that approach the Swedish schools discussion founded on a social and cultural context, in relation to media's effects on school.

Findings indicate that the teachers based their teaching on a social and cultural context, where they promote dialogical teaching and made students' understandings the central focus. Teaching Swedish should, according to the teachers interviewed, be based on central human topics. Findings also indicate that the teachers own media habits settle the ways they integrate new media in their teaching. The teachers notice good possibilities to motivate and engage pupils by teaching on the basis of an expanded text concept. They also find that an expanded text concept works irrespective of course, age and gender. Further the teachers consider that traditional text hierarchies maintained by the school and the society are on the way to disappear.


Sammanfattning

Syftet med denna undersökning är att ta reda på hur gymnasielärare i svenska gör för att möta och utmana eleverna i ett vidgat textbegrepp. Det teoretiska ramverket rymmer skolans kunskapsdiskussion i relation till informationssamhällets återverkningar på skolan.

Undersökningen bygger på intervjuer med fem gymnasielärare i svenska, som alla i hög grad arbetar med ett vidgat textbegrepp i undervisningen. Därutöver har undervisningsmaterial samlats in och analyserats.

Resultatet av undersökningen visar på ett gemensamt förhållningssätt hos de intervjuade lärarna. Deras praktik genomsyras av ett sociokulturellt perspektiv och en helhetssyn på lärande, där det vidgade textbegreppet är ett pedagogiskt verktyg. Vidare ser lärarna svenskämnet som ett humanistiskt bildningsämne. Det framkommer också att lärarnas egna medievanor spelar en avgörande roll för hur de arbetar med medier i undervisningen.

Lärarna ser goda möjligheterna att dra nytta av den motivation och det engagemang som arbete med ett vidgat textbegrepp kan innebära, och menar att det vidgade textbegreppet fungerar på samtliga kurser i svenska samt för de flesta elever oavsett studieinriktning, ålder och kön. Lärarna ger också uttryck för att värdehierarkier kring hur man i skolan traditionellt har betraktat text är på väg att försvinna.

Abstract:
Föreliggande studie bygger på ett estetiskt-praktiskt arbete inom en språkteoretisk kontext. Studien utförs på en skola för nyanlända elever i åldrarna 13-18. Syftet är att utforska mötet mellan bild- och dramapedagogik och nyanlända elevers kommunikation och språkutveckling. Inom både bild- och dramapedagogik är språk närvarande utifrån ett vidgat sätt att betrakta språk. För att nå syftet har ett bild- och dramapedagogiskt arbete disponerats över två veckor med en grupp om sju nyanlända elever, vilka samtliga har bristande eller inga skolerfarenheter med sig. Eftersom vi är noviser vad avser både nyanlända och språkteori lägger vi stor vikt vid att beträda fältet med öppet sinne. Vårt syfte är att, genom nya begrepp, skapa förståelse för det vi undersöker vilket motiverar vårt val av grundad teori som forskningsansats. Till vår hjälp har vi använt oss av deltagande observation. Resultatet visar att eleverna befinner sig i en språkbox vilket begränsar deras kommunikation och språkanvändning. De är i behov av en vidgad kommunikation som inkluderar såväl verbala som ickeverbala uttryckssätt. Därmed kan en bred och mångsidig kommunikation utvecklas vilket kan gynna deras fortsatta språkutveckling.
