Abstract:
Teacher opinions and discussions about Visual Culture Theory and Material Culture in art education are examined in this paper. Both approaches were compared and evaluated within their contents and fundamentals. Visual Culture Art Education (VCAE) in art education, specifically, has been criticized as having a Neo-Marxist or Cultural Marxist agenda stemming from Critical Theory, nonetheless, it is also viewed as being just another recent Postmodernist approach. Being a controversial theoretical account, VCAE seems widely unknown and not understood in its conceptual frame among art teachers in Turkey. Its name also may have caused confusion. In this study, art teacher opinions of VCAE content, principles, applications and practices were collected through a survey questionnaire; and examined. Participants were 71 art teachers. A purposeful, convenient, random sampling method was employed to represent a population of art teachers from various backgrounds, with various experience levels, with educational experience from various universities, working at various geographical regions and towns in Turkey. The study was designed and structured as descriptive survey research. Analyses revealed that art teachers usually are not aware of the typical discussions about VCAE. Having been criticized as an ideologically rooted theory, the applicability of VCAE in Turkey seems controversial in many aspects. Full text
Abstract:
The application of deep learning for taxonomic categorization of DNA sequences is investigated in this study. Two deep learning architectures, namely the Stacked Convolutional Autoencoder (SCAE) with Multilabel Extreme Learning Machine (MLELM) and the Variational Convolutional Autoencoder (VCAE) with MLELM, have been proposed. These designs provide precise feature maps for individual and inter-label interactions within DNA sequences, capturing their spatial and temporal properties. The collected features are subsequently fed into MLELM networks, which yield soft classification scores and hard labels. The proposed algorithms underwent thorough training and testing on unsupervised data, whereby one or more labels were concurrently taken into account. The introduction of the clade label resulted in improved accuracy for both models compared to the class or genus labels, probably owing to the occurrence of large clusters of similar nucleotides inside a DNA strand. In all circumstances, the VCAE-MLELM model consistently outperformed the SCAE-MLELM model. The best accuracy attained by the VCAE-MLELM model when the clade and family labels were combined was 94%. However, accuracy ratings for single-label categorization using either approach were less than 65%. The approach’s effectiveness is based on MLELM networks, which record connected patterns across classes for accurate label categorization. This study advances deep learning in biological taxonomy by emphasizing the significance of combining numerous labels for increased classification accuracy.

Full text
Abstract:
Quantitative and qualitative running gait analysis allows the early identification and the longitudinal monitoring of gait abnormalities linked to running-related injuries. A promising calibration- and marker-less video sensor-based technology (i.e., Graal), recently validated for walking gait, may also offer a time- and cost-efficient alternative to the gold-standard methods for running. This study aim was to ascertain the validity of an improved version of Graal for quantitative and qualitative analysis of running. In 33 healthy recreational runners (mean age 41 years), treadmill running at self-selected submaximal speed was simultaneously evaluated by a validated photosensor system (i.e., Optogait—the reference methodology) and by the video analysis of a posterior 30-fps video of the runner through the optimized version of Graal. Graal is video analysis software that provides a spectral analysis of the brightness over time for each pixel of the video, in order to identify its frequency contents. The two main frequencies of variation of the pixel’s brightness (i.e., F1 and F2) correspond to the two most important frequencies of gait (i.e., stride frequency and cadence). The Optogait system recorded step length, cadence, and its variability (vCAD, a traditional index of gait quality). Graal provided a direct measurement of F2 (reflecting cadence), an indirect measure of step length, and two indexes of global gait quality (harmony and synchrony index). The correspondence between quantitative indexes (Cadence vs. F2 and step length vs. Graal step length) was tested via paired t-test, correlations, and Bland–Altman plots. The relationship between qualitative indexes (vCAD vs. Harmony and Synchrony Index) was investigated by correlation analysis. Cadence and step length were, respectively, not significantly different from and highly correlated with F2 (1.41 Hz ± 0.09 Hz vs. 1.42 Hz ± 0.08 Hz, p = 0.25, r2 = 0.81) and Graal step length (104.70 cm ± 013.27 cm vs. 107.56 cm ± 13.67 cm, p = 0.55, r2 = 0.98). Bland–Altman tests confirmed a non-significant bias and small imprecision between methods for both parameters. The vCAD was 1.84% ± 0.66%, and it was significantly correlated with neither the Harmony nor the Synchrony Index (0.21 ± 0.03, p = 0.92, r2 = 0.00038; 0.21 ± 0.96, p = 0.87, r2 = 0.00122). These findings confirm the validity of the optimized version of Graal for the measurement of quantitative indexes of gait. Hence, Graal constitutes an extremely time- and cost-efficient tool suitable for quantitative analysis of running. However, its validity for qualitative running gait analysis remains inconclusive and will require further evaluation in a wider range of absolute and relative running intensities in different individuals.

Abstract:
The purpose of this article is to explore the teaching processes that use Quick Response (QR) codes and mobile devices to support blended learning at the National Institute of Telecommunications and ICT (INTTIC). The satisfactory results of our previous research show that the use of mobile technology could enhance accessibility and communication in a blended learning course. In Algeria, the mobile penetration rate stands at over 111% and 21% with 3G. Since most of our students have access to mobile technology, three in five were smartphones. Using this technology would encourage students to use their phones to send questions to their teachers, listen to a podcast and snip the quick response (QR) codes. This paper introduces the implementations of QR codes, vcard and QR voice as a new tool in the Moodle platform in our institute. The QR code contains the URL of the page of one particular Moodle course and quiz are added to the bottom of Moodle. The students' satisfaction had been acknowledged as an important factor in order to estimate the effectiveness of a blended learning course.

Abstract:
The development of digital economy has led people to adapt to the use of services in information-technology-based loan or peer-to-peer lending. In early 2019, the V-loan case attracted attention of many people. The case has made debtors depressed, removed from their own houses, etc. Some debtors even were fired from works. In a case, the loan provider misused debtors’ personal data in debtors’ cell phones. The loan provider created WhatsApp groups containing all debtors’ contacts, including the debtors. Then, they uploaded pornographic content. Their objective was to defame debtors. Parties involved in loan agreement should adhere rules and arrange for reasonable loan. To discuss this matter, it is necessary to review agreement based on the Law on Electronic Information and Transaction and the Regulation of Financial Services Authority number 77 of 2016. The study focused on legal protection of parties involving in P2P lending activities. The credit agreement of peer-to-peer lending is considered valid if it is based on Article 47 of the Government Regulation number 82 of 2016. Standard contract must be based on Article 20 of the Regulation of Financial Services Authority number 77 of 2016. Electronic signature is also required based on Article 41 of the Regulation. In addition, the application of information technology and electronic transactions must be carried out based on the principles of legal certainty, benefits, good faith, and the freedom of choice of technology based on Article 3 of Law Number 19 of 2016. Principles and objectives are fundamental elements of legal certainty. Therefore, organizer and the government must protect user of peer-to-peer lending.

Abstract:
Contributing to Sustainable Development Goals and Agenda 2030 is a shared objective of all institutions and people. The challenges differ according to the characteristics of every context. In developing countries, strongly dependent on the agricultural sector, agricultural supply chains are recognized as crucial for economic growth and enablers for livelihood improvement. Moreover, sustainable development issues are correlated and can meet in agricultural supply chains. For several decades, parallel to decision-makers, the research community has elaborated sustainability assessment tools. Such tools evolved to fit with actuality, but it is challenging to find decision-making support tools for sustainable development adequate in agricultural supply chains and developing countries contexts. There is a necessity to define evidence-based tools and exhaustive analytical frameworks according to sustainability multidimensionality and strategical tradeoffs necessity. The VCA4D method aims to go beyond the limits of previous methods. It proposes a combination of multidisciplinary analytical tools applied empirically to analyze agricultural supply chains in their context. It provides evidence-based analytical results allowing to identify enablers for strategic sustainable and inclusive interventions. However, to even better meet contextual exhaustiveness’s expectations and indicators’ robustness to lead to relevant interventions, we should insist on a stricter framing of contextual data collection processes.

Abstract:
Abstract In this article, a novel approach to computer optimization of CNC toolpaths by adjustment of cutting speed vcand depth of cut apis presented. Available software works by the principle of adjusting feed rate on the basis of calculations and numerical simulation of the machining process. The authors wish to expand upon this approach by proposing toolpath optimization by altering two other basic process parameters. Intricacies and problems related totheadjustment of apand vcwere explained in the introductory part. Simulation of different variant of the same turning process with different parameter values were conducted to evaluate the effect of changes in depth of cut and cutting speed on process performance. Obtained results were investigated on the account of cutting force and tool life. The authors have found that depth of cut substantially affects cutting force, while the effect of cutting speed on it is minimal. An increase in both depth of cut and cutting speed affects tool life negatively, although the impact of cutting speed is much more severe. An increase in depth of cut allows for a more significant reduction of machining time, while affecting tool life less negatively. On the other hand, the adjustment of cutting speed helpsto reduce machining time without increasing cutting force component values and spindle load.

Abstract:
We analysed fluid dynamics at brain arteries having multiple inflow and out flow like Willis ring based on clinical imaging modalities. In addition, we analysed fluid dynamics with therapeutic devices like coils and stents to simulate their influences to blood flow. 3D CTA and MRA obtained three-dimensional structures of the brain vessels. The centreline was obtained from the three dimensional structure. Diameter of the blood vessels was measured by 3D CTA/MRA then smooth surfaced blood vessel models were created. For the fluid analysis, we developed a home brew software which can display parameters such as streamline, etc. In addition, our CFD (computational fluid dynamics) software can work in collaboration with a CAD (computer aided design) software which we also developed (VCAD: Volume CAD). So, therapeutic devices such as coils, balloons and stents could be placed in the models and CFD analysis could be performed placing devices in the models. The flow pattern in the complicated vascular structure could be calculated such as Willis ring which has multiple inputs like ICA, VA and multiple outlets like MCA and PCA with communicating arteries. CFD with therapeutic devices could also analysed with our system.

Abstract:
A haptic sensor coupled to a gamepad or headset is frequently used to enhance the sense of immersion for game players. However, providing haptic feedback for appropriate sound effects involves specialized audio engineering techniques to identify target sounds that vary according to the game. We propose a deep learning-based method for sound event detection (SED) to determine the optimal timing of haptic feedback in extremely noisy environments. To accomplish this, we introduce the BattleSound dataset, which contains a large volume of game sound recordings of game effects and other distracting sounds, including voice chats from a PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) game. Given the highly noisy and distracting nature of war-game environments, we set the annotation interval to 0.5 s, which is significantly shorter than the existing benchmarks for SED, to increase the likelihood that the annotated label contains sound from a single source. As a baseline, we adopt mobile-sized deep learning models to perform two tasks: weapon sound event detection (WSED) and voice chat activity detection (VCAD). The accuracy of the models trained on BattleSound was greater than 90% for both tasks; thus, BattleSound enables real-time game sound recognition in noisy environments via deep learning. In addition, we demonstrated that performance degraded significantly when the annotation interval was greater than 0.5 s, indicating that the BattleSound with short annotation intervals is advantageous for SED applications that demand real-time inferences.

Abstract:
The world’s population is increasing and so is the challenge on existing healthcare infrastructure to cope with the growing demand in medical diagnosis and evaluation. Although human experts are primarily tasked with the diagnosis of different medical conditions, artificial intelligence (AI)-assisted diagnoses have become considerably useful in recent times. One of the critical lung infections, which requires early diagnosis and subsequent treatment to reduce the mortality rate, is pneumonia. There are different methods for obtaining a pneumonia diagnosis; however, the adoption of chest X-rays is popular since it is non-invasive. The AI systems for a pneumonia diagnosis using chest X-rays are often built on supervised machine-learning (ML) models, which require labeled datasets for development. However, collecting labeled datasets is sometimes infeasible due to constraints such as human resources, cost, and time. As such, the problem that we address in this paper is the unsupervised classification of pneumonia using unsupervised ML models including the beta-variational convolutional autoencoder (β-VCAE) and other variants, such as convolutional autoencoders (CAE), denoising convolutional autoencoders (DCAE), and sparse convolutional autoencoders (SCAE). Namely, the pneumonia classification problem is cast into an anomaly detection to develop the aforementioned ML models. The experimental results show that pneumonia can be diagnosed with high recall, precision, f1-score, and f2-score using the proposed unsupervised models. In addition, we observe that the proposed models are competitive with the state-of-the-art models, which are trained on a labeled dataset.

Background: The aim of our study was to evaluate the degree of genetic homozygosity in the group of patients with coronary artery disease (CAD), as well as to evaluate morphogenetic variability in CAD patients regarding the presence of investigated risk factors (RF) compared to a control sample of individuals. Additionally, we aimed to evaluate the distribution of ABO blood type frequencies between tested samples of individuals. Methods: This study analyzed individual phenotype and morphogenetic variability of 17 homozygously-recessive characteristics (HRC), by using HRC test in a sample of 148 individuals in CAD patients group and 156 individuals in the control group. The following RF were analyzed: hypertension, diabetes mellitus, hyperlipidemia, and smoking. Results: The mean value of HRC in CAD patients is significantly higher, while variability decreases compared to the control sample (CAD patients: 4.24 ± 1.59, control sample: 3.75 ± 1.69; VCAD-patients = 37.50%, VC = 45.07%). There is a significant difference in individual variations of 17 HRC between control sample and CAD patients (χ2 = 169.144; p < 0.01), which points out to different variability for tested genes. Mean values of HRC significantly differed in CAD patients in regard to the number of RF present. A blood type (OR = 1.75) is significant predictor for CAD, while O blood type (OR = 0.43) was significantly associated with controls. Conclusion: There is a higher degree of recessive homozygosity in CAD patients versus individuals in the control sample, and the presence of significant variations in the degree of recessive homozygosity as the number of tested RF increases.

Abstract:
ABSTRACTRanaviruses (Iridoviridae) are posing an increasing threat to amphibian populations, with anuran tadpoles being particularly susceptible to these viral infections. Moreover, amphibians are the most basal phylogenetic class of vertebrates known to possess both type I and type III interferon (IFN)-mediated immunity. Moreover, little is known regarding the respective roles of the IFN mediators in amphibian antiviral defenses. Accordingly, we transcriptionally and functionally compared the amphibianXenopus laevistype I (IFN) and III (IFN-λ) IFNs in the context of infections by the ranavirus frog virus 3 (FV3).X. laevisIFN and IFN-λ displayed distinct tissue expression profiles. In contrast to our previous findings thatX. laevistadpoles exhibit delayed and modest type I IFN responses to FV3 infections compared to the responses of adults, here we report that tadpoles mount timely and robust type III IFN gene responses. Recombinant forms of these cytokines (recombinantX. laevisIFN [rXlIFN] and rXlIFN-λ) elicited antiviral gene expression in the kidney-derived A6 cell line as well as in tadpole leukocytes and tissues. However, rXlIFN-λ was less effective than rXlIFN in preventing FV3 replication in A6 cells and tadpoles and inferior at promoting tadpole survival. Intriguingly, FV3 impaired A6 cell and tadpole kidney type III IFN receptor gene expression. Furthermore, in A6 cultures rXlIFN-λ conferred equal or greater protection than rXlIFN against recombinant viruses deficient for the putative immune evasion genes, the viral caspase activation and recruitment domain (vCARD) or a truncated vIF-2α gene. Thus, in contrast to previous assumptions, tadpoles possess intact antiviral defenses reliant on type III IFNs, which are overcome by FV3 pathogens.IMPORTANCEAnuran tadpoles, including those ofXenopus laevis, are particularly susceptible to infection by ranavirus such as FV3. We investigated the respective roles ofX. laevistype I and type III interferons (IFN and IFN-λ, respectively) during FV3 infections. Notably, tadpoles mounted timely and more robust IFN-λ gene expression responses to FV3 than adults, contrasting with the poorer tadpole type I IFN responses. However, a recombinantX. laevisIFN-λ (rXlIFN-λ) conferred less protection to tadpoles and the A6 cell line than rXlIFN, which may be explained by the FV3 impairment of IFN-λ receptor gene expression. The importance of IFN-λ in tadpole anti-FV3 defenses is underlined by the critical involvement of two putative immune evasion genes in FV3 resistance to IFN- and IFN-λ-mediated responses. These findings challenge the view that tadpoles have defective antiviral immunity and suggest, rather, that their antiviral responses are predominated by IFN-λ responses, which are overcome by FV3.

Abstract:
Abstract:
Abstract: Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, is a province proud of its historical traditions. Yet, these values are, at times, in conflict with contemporary global culture. The province’s socio-political and cultural struggles and successes, and the impact of an ongoing boom and bust cycle in resource development, are echoed both in the history of art education and in its artistic evolution. From modernism and post modernism, and DBAE to VCAE, the development of the Visual Art Program at the Grenfell Campus of Memorial University in Corner Brook provides a cautionary tale on the vagaries of promoting artistic traditionalism over contemporary meta-modernism, and the role of art in the classroom in reflecting global society at large. With a growingly mixed population in the province, art education plays a significant role in a contemporary dynamic that can challenge a self-promoted geographic and historical myopia. Art in Newfoundland and Labrador increasingly acts as a suturing mechanism and reflective device, through which to look at these tensions, allowing the art educator to play a somewhat subversive role to the larger historical, political, and social agenda. Yet art education and art have also been used as a tool to serve various shifting political agendas. Negotiating this terrain as an art educator can be difficult; tradition and the contemporary collide, yet the dynamic of this play has produced some amazing results culturally. Walking this tightrope provides a model for a newer generation who have to be increasingly multi-cultural and internationalist in their views. Keywords: Traditionalism; Contemporary Meta-modernism; Historical, Political, and Social Agenda; Subversive Role of Art Educator; Multi-cultural.Résumé : Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador est une province canadienne fière de ses traditions historiques.

Abstract:
AbstractWorkflow scheduling is vital to simultaneously minimize execution cost and makespan for cloud platforms since data dependencies among large-scale workflow tasks and cloud workflow scheduling problem involve large-scale interactive decision variables. So far, the cooperative coevolution approach poses competitive superiority in resolving large-scale problems by transforming the original problems into a series of small-scale subproblems. However, the static transformation mechanisms cannot separate interactive decision variables, whereas the random transformation mechanisms encounter low efficiency. To tackle these issues, this paper suggests a decision-variable-contribution-based adaptive evolutionary cloud workflow scheduling approach (VCAES for short). To be specific, the VCAES includes a new estimation method to quantify the contribution of each decision variable to the population advancement in terms of both convergence and diversity, and dynamically classifies the decision variables according to their contributions during the previous iterations. Moreover, the VCAES includes a mechanism to adaptively allocate evolution opportunities to each constructed group of decision variables. Thus, the decision variables with a strong impact on population advancement are assigned more evolution opportunities to accelerate population to approximate the Pareto-optimal fronts. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed VCAES, we carry out extensive numerical experiments on real-world workflows and cloud platforms to compare it with four representative algorithms. The numerical results demonstrate the superiority of the VCAES in resolving cloud workflow scheduling problems.

Abstract:
Asparaginyl endopeptidases (AEPs) or legumains are Asn/Asp (Asx)-specific proteases that break peptide bonds, but also function as peptide asparaginyl ligases (PALs) that make peptide bonds. This ligase activity can be used for site-specific protein modifications in biochemical and biotechnological applications. Although AEPs are common, PALs are rare. We previously proposed ligase activity determinants (LADs) of these enzymes that could determine whether they catalyze formation or breakage of peptide bonds. LADs are key residues forming the S2 and S1′ substrate-binding pockets flanking the S1 active site. Here, we build on the LAD hypothesis with the engineering of ligases from proteases by mutating the S2 and S1′ pockets of VcAEP, an AEP from Viola canadensis. Wild type VcAEP yields <5% cyclic product from a linear substrate at pH 6.5, whereas the single mutants VcAEP-V238A (Vc1a) and VcAEP-Y168A (Vc1b) targeting the S2 and S1′ substrate-binding pockets yielded 34 and 61% cyclic products, respectively. The double mutant VcAEP-V238A/Y168A (Vc1c) targeting both the S2 and S1′ substrate-binding pockets yielded >90% cyclic products. Vc1c had cyclization efficiency of 917,759 M−1s−1, which is one of the fastest rates for ligases yet reported. Vc1c is useful for protein engineering applications, including labeling of DARPins and cell surface MCF-7, as well as producing cyclic protein sfGFP. Together, our work validates the importance of LADs for AEP ligase activity and provides valuable tools for site-specific modification of proteins and biologics.

Abstract:
Abstract Background Percutaneous tricuspid valve edge-to-edge repair (pTVR) is a promising interventional technique for patients with tricuspid regurgitation (TR), but guidance regarding patient selection and echocardiographic screening is lacking. The aim of this study was to identify echocardiographic parameters which may predict pTVR success. Methods Before and after pTVR, echocardiographic data, including 3D full-volume datasets, were obtained and quantified. Right ventricular assessments included ejection fraction (RVEF3D) and diastolic (RVVd3D) and systolic (RVVs3D) volumes. Also evaluated were: right atrial (RA) volume, effective regurgitant orifice area by PISA method (EROAPISA), vena contracta area (VCA3D) by multiplanar reconstruction from a 3D colour Doppler loop (Figure 1a), maximal diastolic tricuspid annulus area from a 3D zoom image (Figure 1b), and tricuspid tenting area. TR severity was graded according to EROAPISA and VCA3D as grade 1+ to 5+. Results Patients (n=99, age 79±6 years, 48 male) with at least moderate to severe TR undergoing pTVR were consecutively included. The patients were divided into groups according to their post-pTVR TR grade. Group 1 had TR grade ≤2+, and group 2 had TR grade ≥3+.Echocardiographic parameters before pTVR for both groups are presented in Table 1. As expected, patients with TVR ≥3+ after pTVR had significantly worse pre-intervention echocardiographic measurements of TR severity, valve dimensions, and chamber volumes. ROC curves for the prediction of TR ≤2+ (mild to moderate) after pTVR (defined as VCA3D <0.75 cm2 and EROAPISA <0.4 cm2) were drawn for different echocardiographic features (Figure 2). VCA3D by 3D colour Doppler yielded the highest area under the ROC curve followed by TV anatomy measurements (Annulus area3D, Tenting area) and right atrial volume. Conclusion A thorough evaluation of TR and valve dimensions by 3D echocardiography, particularly the evaluation of VCA3D by 3D colour Doppler, aids in the prediction of the probability of pTVR success. Background Percutaneous tricuspid valve edge-to-edge repair (pTVR) is a promising interventional technique for patients with tricuspid regurgitation (TR), but guidance regarding patient selection and echocardiographic screening is lacking. The aim of this study was to identify echocardiographic measurements which may predict pTVR success. Results Patients (n= 44, age 72 ± 9 years, 20 male) with at least moderate to severe TR undergoing pTVR were consecutively included. ROC curves for the prediction of TR ≤2+ (mild to moderate) after pTVR (defined as VCA3D <0.75 cm² and EROAPISA <0.4 cm²) were drawn for different echocardiographic features (Figure 2). VCA3D by 3D colour Doppler yielded the highest area under the ROC curve followed by TV anatomy measurements (Annulus area3D, Tenting area) and right atrial volume. Conclusion A thorough evaluation of TR and valve dimensions by 3D echocardiography, particulary the evaluation of VCA3D by 3D colour Doppler, aids in the prediction of the probability of pTVR success. Abstract:
Introduction: Cervical artery dissection (CAD) involves the carotid (CCAD) or vertebral artery (VCAD). However, limited studies have compared their clinical features and outcomes. Our study utilized a comprehensive nationwide database to discern these differences. Method: We examined non-traumatic CAD-diagnosed patients from the U.S. National Inpatient Sample (2005-2019) using ICD-9 and ICD-10 codes. The evaluation included patient demographics, comorbidities, in-hospital complications, treatment, and costs. Differences between CCAD and VCAD were assessed using survey-weighted stepwise backward logistic regression, followed by propensity score matched adjusted regressions for outcomes. Result: From 2005 to 2019, we identified 157,086 CAD admissions, of which 79.9% (125,477) were spontaneous CADs, with CCAD outnumbering VCAD (67,671 vs. 57,806). Compared to VCAD, CCAD was significantly associated with older age (54 [44-66] vs. 49 [37-62]), Black race (12.6% vs. 8.7%), atrial fibrillation (6.1% vs. 3.7%), hypertension (58.0% vs. 53.9%), fewer concurrent acute ischemic strokes (AIS) (22.1% vs. 24.7%), higher NIHSS (mean NIHSS 7 [2-16] vs. 2 [0-5]), extended stays (4 days [2-8] vs. 4 days [2-7]) and increased hospitalization charges ($52,005 [$25,759-$118,806] vs. $43,199 [$24,116-$85,701]); all P<0.05. Within the concurrent AIS group, the CCAD group also exhibited an increased likelihood for IV thrombolysis (10.7% vs. 5.7%) and mechanical thrombectomy (14.9% vs. 3.7%). After propensity score matching for NIHSS and age, the CCAD group was associated with less death (adjusted odds ratio [aOR] 0.41, 95% CI 0.26-0.65, P<0.001) but a similar home discharge rate (aOR 1.15, 95% CI 0.78-1.69, P=0.480) (Figure). Conclusion: Our study underscores distinct comorbidity profiles and treatment patterns between CCAD and VCAD groups. These findings advocate for tailored treatment strategies based on dissection type to optimize patient outcomes.
