Abstract:
Composition and antioxidant activity of grape seed extract (GSE) obtained from red grape varietes are very well documented, in contrast to the white varietes. This paper presents the results of polyphenols content of ethyl acetate extract of grape seeds, obtained from two white grape varieties, Italian Riesling and Zupljanka, and their antioxidant activity on the stable DPPH radical. The influence of the addition of GSE to raspberry juice on the DPPH radical was also examined. Content of total polyphenols in GSEs ranged between 81.6 and 82.8% (w/w), and the contetn of flavan-3-ols between 66.2 and 91.0% (w/w). HPLC results showed that the most abundant components in the extract were (+)-catechin and (-)-epicatechin for both grape varieties. All tested GSEs exhibited good antioxidant activity. IC50 values for the GSEs of Italian Riesling and Zupljanka were 0.79 and 0.95 mg sample/mg DPPH radical, respectivelly. Since the GSE of Italian Riesling possesed stronger antioxidant activity, it was used for further experiments. The IC50 value for raspberry juice was 4.18 mg raspberry juice/mg DPPH. The raspberry juice with addition of 0.60 ?g/mL of GSE showed antioxidant activity of 39.2%. The same juice with the threefold concentration of vitamin C (1.81 ?g/ml) exhibited similar antioxidant activity (33.9%). Antioxidant activity of the same amount of juice without added antioxidants was lower (15.7%). The results showed that the GSE of white varietes could be considered as a good functional food ingredient.

Abstract:
Abstract Selection Chili powder is one of chili product diversification form that can be a solution to solve the problems when chili production is abundant. This study aimed to test the potential of The Indonesian Agency for Agricultural Research and Development (IAARD’s) chili varieties as chili powder raw material. The research was conducted at IVEGRI from September to December 2020. A completely randomized design was applied with 10 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments consisted of 10 registered IAARD’s varieties. The results showed that there were two main components that influenced the diversity between tested varieties, the first main component (powder yield, moisture content, spiciness level, fruit diameter, thickness of fruit skin and weight per fruit) were 62.7% and the second main component (levels of vitamin C and fruit length) were 15.7%. The chili varietes that have the best yield of powder and spiciness were Lembang-1, Kencana, and Pancanaka. Meanwhile, Branang had a goodlevels of flour, spiciness, and vitamin C. By considering the parameters that are closely related to chili powder production, the potential varieties as chili powder raw material are Lembang-1, Kencana, Pancanaka and Branang. Further research is still needed to test the potential chili varieties as other processed.

Abstract:
While determining grape varieties in viticulture, characterization features of shoots, leaves, clusters and fruits are used. These characterization features, in order to form an international method union, with a working team formed on behalf of the "International Board for Plant Genetic Resources" and the "Office International de la Vigne et du Vin-OIV" and "International Board for Plant Genetic Resources". It has been published in a norm called 'Grape Descriptors', developed in collaboration with the international union for the Protection of New Varietes of Plants-UPOV. The ampelographic characteristics of grape varieties are determined according to the characterization features in this norm. Each grape variety has ampelographic characteristics specific to its shoot, leaf, inflorescence and fruit. After these features are determined according to the grape descriptor norm, they are expressed numerically or verbally. In this study, using ampelographic features, Corint, Merlot, Tayfi, Michele palieri, Narince grape varieties were classified using deep learning techniques. The aim is to determine which grape variety it is by using the ampelographic characteristics of grape varieties with deep learning techniques. A new CNN model consisting of 15 layers was created for the study A total of 1028 images of 227×227×3 dimensions of the clusters and fruits of five grape varieties were used in the data set with five classes. 80% of the images are reserved for training and 20% for validation. In the MATLAB program, 96.10% classification success rate was achieved with the new and originally developed CNN model. It was concluded that the CNN model created as a result of the analyzes was successful and could be used in the classification of grape varieties.

Abstract:

"Albanese varieties of non-Archimedean uniformized varieties." Doctoral thesis, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, 2017. http://hdl.handle.net/10803/405530.

Full text
Abstract:
In this PhD thesis, we give a conjectural construction of the Albanese variety of a non-Archimedean uniformized variety by means of looking at a metrical structure contained in the last one and called its skeleton (which is, essentially, a tropical curve). In order to do that we make a parallel (real, tropical) construction on the skeleton, which becomes the skeleton of the conjectural Albanese we were seeking for, we rise this to an analytic construction over the given variety and we use that its skeleton is the quotient of a certain locally finite subbuilding of a Bruhat-Tits building, which appears also as the skeleton of the uniformizing variety. Later, we relate the harmonic cochains on the buildings with the harmonic measures on the ends as a key step in the proof that one gets the Albanese variety. The thesis has two main parts. One is devoted to describe with complete generality this construction in dimension 1, while in the second we study the structure of the Bruhat-Tits building and we make a construction that we expect it is the Albanese variety, under the assumption that the ground field has a discrete valuation. We start by study the Jacobian of a graph, in the chapter 1 without more structure, in the chapter 2 a metric graph. Our work, together with others, shows that our description of the Jacobian of a metric graph in terms of integration on the ends of the universal covering metric tree extends in some way the (discrete) Jacobian of a graph without metric structure. Here we introduce harmonic cochains on the trees and harmonic measures on the ends, and we prove that they are isomorphic, as an important step to the main result. In the chapter 3 we develope the theory of Mumford curves and their Jacobians in the setting of Berkovich geometry, we relate them with their skeletons by means of the retraction map and we introduce the multiplicative integrals. Then, we extend to our general hypotheses several known results about them in particular cases (like for a local ground field) with those new tools, and we use the results on the Jacobian of a metric graph applied to the corresponding skeleton to get that the construction we do with multiplicative integrals and harmonic measures is an abelian variety. After that, we prove that it is the Jacobian by means of the theory of theta functions, developed from the new perspective of Berkovich geometry using tropical functions. In the chapter 4 we adapt this construction to higher dimension, giving a natural candidate to be the Albanese variety of a non-Archimedean uniformized variety as it was built by Mustafin as a generalization of Mumford curves. In order to do it, we extend the notion of Schottky group to any dimension following the work of Mustafin, and we study deeply the structure of the Bruhat-Tits buildings over a complete field with a discrete valuation. Then, we restrict to dimension 2 to define the harmonic cochains over certain chamber subcomplexes, and we prove that they are isomorphic to the harmonic measures over a certain compact set of the rational points of the corresponding projective space when the associated subcomplex is a building. Finally we use it to start to prove that the construction we do is an analytic torus.

Abstract:

Abstract:
We construct families of polarised projective varieties as quasilinear sections of weighted flag varieties in codimensions 6,7,8,9 and 10. Our tools include a general formula for the Hilbert series of weighted flag varieties, an algorithm to compute their defining equations under their Plücker-style embeddings, and detailed computer-assisted searches. We study complete intersections in a weighted flag variety of the Lie group of type G2, the weighted Grassmannian wGr(2,6), the weighted Lagrangian Grassman- nian wLGr(3,6), a partial weighted flag variety of type A3 and finally a weighted flag variety of the exceptional Lie group of type F4. We construct many families of canon- ical Calabi-Yau 3-folds, log-terminal Q-Fano 3-folds and canonical 3-folds with cyclic quotient singularities.

Abstract:
In this thesis we study the simplest types of generalized Grassmann varieties. The study involves defining those varieties, understanding their local structures, calculating their Zeta functions, defining cycles on those varieties and studying their cohomology groups.
We begin with the classical Grassmannian G( d, n) and then study a special type of the Grassmannian, namely the Lagrangian Grassmannian. For a field k and a subring R ⊂ End(kn) we study the generalized Grassmann variety G(R; d, n) which is the set of all d-dimensional subspaces of kn that are preserved under R. We study the local structure of the generalized Grassmann scheme F R := G(R; d, n) and its zeta function in some particular cases. We study closely the example of a quadratic field when R is the ring of integers.

Abstract:
To successfully solve the problem of vegetable protein deficiency in animal feeding and preserve soil fertility, the need for expanding the sown area under yellow lupine has been established. The results of competitive testing of varieties and varieties of yellow lupine on sandy and sandy loamy soils according to the parameters of the structural analysis of plants, resistance to diseases and grain productivity are presented. Breeding variety samples 4-12-302, 3-12-182, 5-10-84, 1-08-7-75 were obtained, with an average yield of 14.7-16.5 kg/ha, which is higher than the average standard by 2, 0-3.8 kg/ha. The grades and varieties of yellow lupine are evaluated for their resistance to anthracnose in the field. The correlation coefficients between productivity and weather conditions were calculated in the years of research, which to a greater extent (60%) affect the structural elements and productivity.
