V 20. stoletju se je strukturalizem vzpostavil kot osrednja jezikoslovna teorija, v prvi polovici stoletja predvsem s svojim začetnikom Ferdinandom de Saussurjem, v drugi polovici pa z likom Noama Chomskega. Zadnji je vztrajno zavračal smiselnost analiz obsežnih količin besedil, ki jih je obravnaval kot nezanimive v primerjavi z jezikovno intuicijo naravnega govorca. Vzporedno s strukturalizmom so se množile tudi jezikoslovne smeri, ki so opozarjale na nezadostnost prevladujoče jezikoslovne paradigme in na teoretske uvide, ki jih je omogočila šele sistematična analiza velikih količin besedil. Prispevek obravnava dileme, ki izhajajo iz navedene dihotomije in umešča t. i. korpusno jezikoslovje v širši jezikoslovni kontekst.

Glede na podnebne spremembe predvidevamo, da se količina vode v porečjih zmanjšuje in da se spreminjajo predvsem ekstremna hidrološka stanja. Analiza 45 letnega niza pretokov rek, padavin in gladin podzemnih vod, pa predvidevanjni v celoti potrdila. Poleg klimatskih sprememb moramo za presojo spreminjanja dejanskih količin vode upoštevati tudi vpliv evapotranspiracije, poraščenosti z gozdom in spreminjanje naravnih površin v kmetijska ter urbana območja.

Analizirali smo letne in sezonske količine ter trende za 12 meteoroloških postaj v panonskem in obpanonskem delu Srbije za obdobje 1949–2010. Rezultati kažejo trend zmanjševanja padavin pozimi in spomladi ter trend porasta poleti in jeseni. Časovne serije letnih količin padavin kažejo porast padavin na večini preučevanih postaj in so posledica bolj namočenih let ter ekstremnih padavinskih dogodkov v zadnjih 15 letih. V preučevanem obdobju je bilo tudi 10 let z močno in ekstremno sušo s tendenco pojavljanja v več zaporednih letih. Dobro sliko o razporeditvi padavin je dala tudi metoda razvrščanja v skupine (cluster analiza).

Prispevek na pregleden način opisuje uporabo mitohondrijske DNA (mtDNA) v forenzičnih preiskavah. Pri starih in slabo ohranjenih bioloških vzorcih tipizacija jedrne DNA pogosto ni uspešna, lahko pa preiskujemo polimorfizme mtDNA, ki je zaradi številnih kopij na calico in krožne oblike manj izpostavljena razgradnji in se ohrani daljši čas. Osredotočili se bomo na kontrolno regijo mtDNA, ki je zaradi svoje polimorfnosti v forenzičnih preiskavah najbolj uporabna in opozorili na heteroplazmijo, ki jo je potrebno upoštevati pri identifikacijah posameznikov in bioloških sledi. Slabo ohranjene biološke vzorce predstavljalo predvsem stari skeletni ostanki - kosti in zobje, stari nohti, feces, urin ter izpadli lasje. Slednji predstavljajo mikrosledove, ki jih kriminalisti pogosto najdejo na krajih kaznivih dejanj. Posamezen tip biološkega materiala bomo podrobneje opisali. Poleg zgradbe bomo namenili posebno pozornost vplivom okolja na ohranitev DNA v posameznem tipu biološkega materiala, optimizaciji ekstrakcijskih metod za učinkovito izolacijo in optimalnemu vzorčenju. Zaradi nizkih količin DNA, so omenjeni vzorci izpostavljeni kontaminaciji z DNA oseb, ki sodelujejo pri postopkih zbiranja in genetskih preiskavah. Za preprečevanje in sledenje morebitni kontaminaciji upoštevamo različne ukrepe, ki jih bomo opisali. Uporaba mtDNA je v forenziki zelo široka, zato bomo prispevek zaključili s predstavitvijo preiskav mtDNA v Sloveniji in po svetu.

Larvae of all instars of Dromica (s. str.) kolbei (W. Horn, 1897), D. (s. str.) alboclavata Dokhtouroff, 1883 and instar I of D. (s. str.) helleri (W. Horn, 1897) are described and figured in detail. The larvae of these species have several unique morphological characters. The shape of the pronotum, appendages of abdominal segment V and the peculiarities of chaetotaxy are of taxonomic importance. The main diagnostic characters to separate these species from each other and from other known Dromica larvae are given and discussed. Some bionomical peculiarities of D. (s. str.) kolbei are presented.

V preteklosti je Slovenska vojska (SV) uporabljala različne načine zagotavljanja uniform in športne opreme. Trenutni centralizirani sistem za oskrbo z uniformo v SV ni učinkovit. V prispevku predstavljamo rezultate raziskave o vzrokih za njegovo neučinkovitost. Čeprav je vzrokov več, menimo, da sta dva bistvena: nezadostna finančna sredstva za nabavo potrebnih količin uniform in zapletenost postopkov javnega naročanja. Težave ne bi rešilo ponovno uvajanje intendantskih servisov v vojašnice SV. Centraliziran sistem oskrbe z uniformami v SV je edina racional- na rešitev in odgovor na ekonomske izzive. Prispevek ponuja ukrepe za odpravo ugotovljenih pomanjkljivosti in izboljšavo učinkovitosti sistema. Predlagamo tudi uvedbo točkovnega sistema dodeljevanja uniforme (že uveden v policijo in kaže pozitivne rezultate), oblikovanje mobilnega (potujočega) intendantskega servisa, nakup 3D-telesnega snemalnika ter vzpostavitev delovanja trgovine oziroma trgovin z vojaško opremo. Prispevek je namenjen širši javnosti, odgovornim osebam v SV pa ponuja izhodišče za odločanje o prenovi sistema oskrbe z uniformami v SV. In the past, the Slovenian Armed Forces (SAF) used different methods of providing uniforms and sports equipment. The existing centralized uniform supply system, however, is not effective. The present paper presents the results of research, which focused on the causes for the inefficiency of the existing system. Despite a larger number of causes, we believe that there are two crucial ones: insufficient financial resources to purchase the necessary quantities of uniforms, and problems with the implementation of public procurement procedures. The reintroduction of commissa- ry services in the barracks would not solve the problem. Centralized uniform supply system in the SAF is the only rational solution and answer to the economic challen- ges. This article provides appropriate steps for the renovation of the uniform supply system in the SAF. The authors recommend the measures necessary to abolish the identified shortcomings and improve its effectiveness. We thus propose the introduc- tion of a debit points system for uniform allocation (already introduced in the police and showing positive results), the establishment of a mobile commissary service, the purchase of a 3D body scanner and the establishment of store or a chain of stores selling uniforms and military equipment. The article is mainly intended for the general public, but it provides the responsible authorities in the SAF with a starting point for the decision-making on the reform of the uniform-supply system.

The analysis of the current state of education in Russia and abroad shows that the activity of a teacher-psychologist increasingly includes the use of media as a professional tool, a means of achieving educational goals. In this regard, there is a need to form the media competence of a teacher-psychologist, as indicated by a number of researchers (A. A. Kuznetsova, S. A. Beshenkova, L. V. Galygina, S. Grigorieva, A. Lesnevsky, E. A. Rakitina, E. V. Lunev, K. Fomichev and others. According to many scientists, A. A. Andreeva, Yu. S. Branovsky, K. Kolina, A. Mogilev, E. A. Rakitina, E. Polat, O. K. Filatova et al.). Media education in the modern world ceases to be a stage at the beginning of independent life and becomes a continuous process that accompanies a person throughout life. In this article the necessity of formation of media competence of a teacher-psychologist, in regards to dynamic information and educational environment of constant occurrence in them of certain changes that require the psychologist to address new types of problems and therefore, inclusion in media competence new knowledge and skills.

Razvoj metod daljinskega zaznavanja, računalnikov in programske opreme za obdelavo prostorskih podatkov se je dotaknil tudi področja geomorfologije. Vse troje omogoča hitrejšo analizo večjih količin podatkov, ne pa tudi natančnejše. Vzrok za to je slaba matematična definiranost nekaterih geomorfoloških oblik. V raziskavi se osredotočamo na omejevanje kraških kotanj. Za ta namen smo razvili nov pristop, ki pri določanju roba kotanje analizira njene polreze ter učinkovito zaznava tudi robove kotanj na pobočjih. Metoda omogoča pridobivanje natančnejših morfografskih in morfometričnih podatkov o kotanjah. Metodo smo razvili in preizkusili na petih kotanjah Podgrajskega podolja (JZ Slovenija) ter rezultate primerjali z rezultati metode, ki za omejevanje kotanj uporablja hidrološko modeliranje. Opažamo bistveno izboljšanje rezultatov pri omejevanju z novo metodo.

Kemampuan itu diperlukan supaya siswa dapat menerapkan dan memanfaatkan informasi matematika dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Hal tersebut sejalan dengan literasi matematika. Literasi matematika menurut OECD (2016), didefinisikan sebagai kapasitas untuk mengenal dan memahami peran matematika di dunia, memecahkan masalah matematika dalam berbagai konteks, menafsirkan pernyataan matematika, dan menerapkan matematika secara rasional. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan literasi matematika siswa ditinjau dari gaya belajar Kolb siswa kelas V Madrasah Ibtidaiyah dengan pembelajaran discovery learning pendekatan RME. Metode penelitian yang dipakai adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Adapun hasil dari penelitian adalah dilihat dari 7 indikator dalam literasi matematika bahwa gaya belajar siswa tipe accommodator lebih baik dibandingkan gaya belajar lainnya. Gaya belajar assimilator dan diverger kemampuan literasi matematika siswa hampir sama tetapi gaya belajar converger paling rendah dibandingkan dari assimilator dan diverger.AbstractMathematics learning needs to be designed to encourage students to have mathematical skills, such as the ability to understand, communicate, connect, reason and solve mathematical problems. Capability is needed so students can apply and utilize mathematical information in their daily lives. This is in line with mathematical literacy. Mathematical literacy according to the OECD (2016), is defined as the capacity to recognize and understand the role of mathematics in the world, solve mathematical problems in various contexts, interpret mathematical statements, and apply mathematics rationally. The purpose of this study was to determine the students' mathematical literacy skills in terms of Kolb's learning style of class V Ibtidaiyah Madrasas with discovery learning learning the RME approach. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The results of the study are seen from 7 indicators in mathematical literacy that the accommodator type of student learning style is better than other learning styles. The assimilator learning style and the students' mathematical literacy abilities combined were similar but the lowest converger learning style was compared to the assimilator and diverger.

With the advent and development of the theory of metafiction, the range of works that can be referred to this phenomenon is constantly expanding, with the deepest origins of metafiction being found in the history of novel as a genre. Modern Russian metafiction, developing in the context of literary centrism rebooting and new practices being created, is widely represented in different strata of modern Russian literature: in elite literature (Pushkin House by A. Bitov, t by V. Pelevin, Blue Fat by V. Sorokin, etc.), in fiction (Happiness Is Possible by O. Zayonchkovsky, Quality of Life by A. Slapovsky, Medvedki by M. Galina, Self- Taught by A. Utkin, etc.), in mass literature (Stylist by A. Marinina, Boys and Girls by E. Kolina, Point of No Return by P. Dashkova, etc.). The article analyzes different metafictional strategies in modern prose. The process of creating literary text is found to be one of the crosscutting subjects of modern metafiction. This is primarily connected with the writers’ desire to capture and reflect the complex and contradictory strategies of writing in the 21st century. The article considers different manifestations of metafictional strategy, such as: ‘triple literary matryoshka’ (Literary Slave: Weekdays and Holidays by N. Sokolovskaya), the theme of translation and mystification (Interlinear Translation by E. Chizhov and Stylist by A. Marinina), the author’s reflection (Adaptor by A. Slapovsky), ‘novel about a writer’ (Happiness is Possible by O. Zayonchkovsky), text created in collaboration with the new type of the reader (Arbeit. The Wide Canvas by E. Popova). All the analyzed texts raise questions about the changing role of the writer and the reader in the modern world and about the new relations between the writer and the publisher.

Introduction. The paper is about the study of the human skeletal remains isotopic composition from Middle Don burial mounds of the Scythian time to characterize the population mobility. Methods and materials. The materials from the monuments of Kolbino 1, Ternovoe 1, Gorki I, Devitsa V, Durovka are considered. Data on the isotopic composition of strontium enamel in teeth and bone tissue is used to estimate the mobility of the population. Information on the isotopic composition of bone carbon collagen and nitrogen is also used to reconstruct food models that reflect cultural traditions as well as environmental patterns. Analysis. Values of 87/86 Sr of bone and tooth enamel are considered as markers of an individuals stay at different ages in a territory similar or different by geochemical parameters to regional Middle Don. Data on the isotopic composition of nitrogen and carbon in bone tissue from the burial mounds are considered with broad comparative data of the steppe Eurasian population of the Early Iron Age. Results. The authors discuss carbon delta values marking the use of C4 type photosynthesis plants. Millet is this cultural plant in Eurasian history of the Early Iron Age. This plant is widely spread in all steppe and nomadic cultures. The individual variability of carbon delta of Middle Don population is increased compared to all others. There are individuals who differ from the majority in lower carbon deltas corresponding to the C3 type of photosynthesis. This feature is proposed to consider as an evidence of contacts with the territories with the antique agriculture traditions.

In China, wheat stripe rust, caused by Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici, is one of the most destructive diseases of wheat and can cause severe yield losses when susceptible cultivars are grown and weather conditions are favorable for the disease. Wheat stripe rust most frequently affects the winter wheat growing areas in Northwest, Southwest, and North China, and the spring wheat growing areas in Northwest China. In the 2001-2002 growing season, a widespread stripe rust epidemic affected about 6.6 million hectares of wheat in 11 provinces: Si-chuan, Chongqing, eastern Gansu, southern and western Shaanxi, southern and central Ningxia, Yunnan, Guizhou, Hubei, Henan, southern and central Hebei, and Shandong. The epidemic could be attributed to relatively warm weather from November 2001 to March 2002, high frequencies of stripe rust races CYR31 and CYR32, and widely grown susceptible cultivars. Race CYR31 was virulent on the Chinese differential cultivars Trigo Eureka, Fulhard, Lutescens 128, Mentana, Virgilio, Abbondanza, Early Premium, Funo, Danish 1, Fengchan 3, Lovrin 13, Shui-yuan 11, Lovrin 10, and Hybrid 46. Race CYR32 had all the virulence factors of CYR31, plus virulences on Chinese differential cultivars Jubilejina 2 and Kangyin 655, i.e., CYR32 was virulent on all differential cultivars, except Zhong 4. When tested on the world and European differential and some other resistant genotypes, CYR32 was virulent on Chinese 166 (Yr1), Heines VII (Yr2, Yr25, and YrHVII), Vilmorin 23 (Yr3a and Yr4a), Heines Kolben (Yr6 and YrHK), Lee (Yr7, Yr22, and Yr23), Clement (Yr9, Yr25, YrCle), VPM1 (Yr17), Selkirk (Yr27), Anza (YrA), Carstens V (YrCV1, YrCV2, and YrCV3), Gaby (YrG), Strubes Dickkopf (Yr25), and Suwon 92/Omar (YrSO). Resistance genes in Triticum spelta album (Yr5), Zhong 4, and Moro (Yr10 and YrMor) were effective against all races identified.

O b j e c t i v e s : 1. To study the prevalence of learning styles in intermediate level students in Rawalpindi according to Kolb'sLearning Style Inventory. 2. To study the correlation of learning styles with career choices of intermediate level students in Rawalpindi. 3.To compare the results of the study with the learning styles of clinical students of a medical college. D e s i g n : Cross sectional. Descriptive.M e t h o d s : The study was done on the intermediate level students of Government Colleges in Rawalpindi. It included the Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering and Humanities students. All students were given a questionnaire based on Kolb's learning style inventory, and responsescollected. Instructions to fill the questionnaire were given verbally to all students. Each student was also instructed to present three careerchoices in order of priority. Data was collected. Results: Prevalence of different learning styles in medical students and intermediate levelstudents is shown in table-l and table-ll respectively. C o n c l u s i o n s : The prevalence and pattern of learning styles of intermediate levellearners and medical students is different. Majority of intermediate level learners have the converger learning styles in contrast with themedical students in whom accommodators are in overwhelming majority. Most learners choosing "Doctor" as their preferred career amongintermediate level learners were of assimilator style, followed by convergers. Accommodators were on third place in choosing "Doctor" aspreferred career. The most preferred career among intermediate level learner was "Teacher".

During August 1996, stripe (yellow) rust, caused by Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici, was observed for the first time on bread wheat (Triticum aestivum) in the Western Cape, South Africa. Ensuing surveys during the growing season indicated that stripe rust occurred throughout most of the wheat-producing areas in the winter rainfall regions of the Northern, Western, and Eastern Cape provinces. The disease was also observed on irrigated wheat in the summer rainfall area south of Kimberley. Stripe rust was most severe in the Western Cape, where prolonged cool and wet conditions favored epidemic development and necessitated extensive and often repeated applications of triazole fungicides. Due to spike infection and destruction of foliage, significant losses in grain quantity and quality occurred in certain fields. Avirulence/virulence characteristics of 32 stripe rust isolates, collected from commercial wheat fields, trap nurseries, and triticale, were determined on 17 standard differential wheat lines and seven supplementary testers supplied by C. R. Wellings, Plant Breeding Institute, Cobbitty, Australia. All isolates were representative of one pathotype, characterized by avirulence to Chinese 166 (Yr1), Vilmorin 23 (Yr3), Moro (Yr10), Strubes Dickkopf, Suwon 92/Omar, Clement (Yr2,9), Triticum aestivum subsp. spelta var. album (Yr5), Hybrid 46 (Yr4), Reichersberg 42 (Yr7), Heines Peko (Yr2,6), Nord Desprez (Yr3), Carstens V, Spaldings Prolific, Heines VII (Yr2), Federation*4/Kavkaz (Yr9), and Avocet-S/Yr15, and by virulence to Kalyansona (Yr2), Heines Kolben (Yr2,6), Lee (Yr7), Compair (Yr8), and Federation 1221. Cultivars Trident (Yr17), Avocet-R (YrA), and Selkirk (YrSk) appeared heterogeneous for stripe rust reaction. The pathotype resembled race 6E16, previously detected in East and North Africa, the Middle East, and western Asia. Pathotype identity was confirmed at IPO-DLO, Wageningen, using one South African isolate of P. striiformis f. sp. tritici. In view of the rapid dispersal of the pathogen during 1996, susceptibility of several high-yielding cultivars, and favorable climatic conditions in many wheat-growing areas, stripe rust is considered potentially damaging to South African wheat production. Field observations and seedling tests have shown, however, that certain cultivars are resistant to the introduced pathotype. At present the genetic basis of this resistance is largely unknown.

Resumo: O texto foca na questão da educação em sua interface com a filosofia visando a indagar sobre a dialogicidade fundamental aos processos educativos. Inicia propondo um contexto de fala para, em seguida, discutir dimensões antropológicas a serem consideradas na educação. Para tanto, convida Paulo Freire para o debate discutindo suas concepções de homem e mundo problematizando a categoria diálogo em seu pensamento. Finalmente, aborda a questão da filosofia e seu ensino vislumbrando o cenário do filosofar em sala de aula.

Abstract: The text focuses on the matter of education in its interface with philosophy, aiming at an inquiry on the dialogicity fundamental to educational processes. It starts from a context of speech in order to, thereafter, discuss anthropological dimensions to be considered in education. For this purpose, it invites Paulo Freire to join the dialogue by discussing his conceptions of man and world and problematizing the dialogue category in his thought. Finally, it approaches the question of philosophy and its teaching with a glimpse of the scenario of philosophizing in classroom.

The optical setup for holographic projection on the scatterings in fluorescent liquids is presented. Such media can be used as volumetric screens for near-eye holographic displays, solving the problem of speckle noise and very small exit pupils in existing setups. Three different oils (canola, olive and engine oil) with 532 nm laser and tonic water with 405 nm laser are used for projecting holographic fields, the quality of such images is investigated. The laser wavelength is cut out from acquisition on a camera and only filtered fluorescent light is observed. The best and brightest results are obtained with engine oil. Full Text: PDF ReferencesX. This study reports on the results of a research on learning styles and critical thinking skills of sixty eight postgraduate students of Master’s Level Business Education Programs. These students have participated in both phases of our research. In the first phase, carried out in spring 2005, Kolb’s Learning Style Inventory (LSI v.3) was the basis of the administered questionnaire and in the second phase, carried our in winter 2005 – 06, the LSI v.3 and the California Critical Thinking Skills Test (CCTST) were the basis of the administered questionnaire. Results show that the prevailing learning style types are the ‘assimilating’ and the ‘converging’ ones. Between the first and the second phase students have become more balanced learners. This balanced learning development relates to both ‘Concrete – Abstract’ and ‘Active – Reflective’ dimensions of the learning process and this latter dimension correlates significantly with students’ critical thinking skills on all scales of the used instrument.

AbstractThe subject of the paper is suggested by G. Janelidze and motivated by his earlier result giving a positive answer to the question posed by S. MacLane whether the Galois theory of homogeneous linear ordinary differential equations over a differential field (which is Kolchin–Ritt theory and an algebraic version of Picard–Vessiot theory) can be obtained as a particular case of G. Janelidze’s Galois theory in categories. One ground category in the Galois structure involved in this theory is dual to the category of commutative rings with unit, and another one is dual to the category of commutative differential rings with unit. In the present paper, we apply the general categorical construction, the particular case of which gives this Galois structure, by replacing “commutative rings with unit” by algebras from any variety \mathscr{V} of universal algebras satisfying the amalgamation property and a certain condition (of the syntactical nature) for elements of amalgamated free products which was introduced earlier, and replacing “commutative differential rings with unit” by \mathscr{V}-algebras equipped with additional unary operations which satisfy some special identities to construct a new Galois structure. It is proved that this Galois structure is admissible. Moreover, normal extensions with respect to it are characterized in the case where \mathscr{V} is any of the following varieties: abelian groups, loops and quasigroups.
