Abstract : The higher education in Indochina in the French colonial period was highlighted by the creation of the School of Medecine of Hanoi in 1902 and by the creation of an Indochinese university in 1906. It was a temporary mesure as well as a political. Paul Beau created the Indochinese university in response to changing situation in the Far East and to match the requirement of indigenous people. From Albert Sarraut’s reform in 1917 onward, the higher education became an official part of the system of education in Indochina. The Indochinese university was reorganized and several colleges were created and trained people in almost every domains to meet the development of the country: the medicine, the law, the fine arts, the business, the agriculture and the forestry, the public works and the pedagogy. Until 1945, the system of higher education in Indochina was very well organized and offered a rather complete. Hanoi became an educational center in the whole French colonial empire. The Indochinese university, despite its limits about the quantity and the quality of lessons proposed, participated in the development of the Indochinese peninsula’s countries, during the colonial era and after independence the three countries. It was the only university dedicated to the native students in all the French colonial empire. Water Resources University is one of the first Vietnamese public universities that has realized the importance of branding in higher education, which is reflected by their widely-announced strategic goal to build the prestige of the brand “Vietnam Water Resources University” and become one of the top 10 universities of Vietnam in terms of high quality human resource training and scientific research. However, it is a fact that currently, WRU is among the Hanoi-based universities that attract small number of good prospective students, especially Hanoian ones, who are likely to help improve the overall capacity of the university students and thereby, upgrade teaching and studying quality as well as the prestige of the university. Thus, the research project “Brand image of WRU perceived by high school students in Hanoi” aims to investigate the perceptions of Hanoi-based high school students about the WRU brand, using the methods introduced by Keller in the CBBE model, with the hope to capture some parts of the reasons why WRU is not an appealing choice for Hanoian students. The research consisted of two phases, with the sampling was done using convenience and quota techniques. In Phase 1, 20 WRU students, 20 Hanoi-based high school students and 20 parents of high school students were interviewed, using semi-structured qualitative techniques, to identify the brand associations that are possibly linked to WRU. In Phase 2, a survey was conducted among students of 5 high schools in Hanoi with the aim to measure the strength, favorability and uniqueness of the brand associations collected in Phase 1 and 277 valid responses were collected. The results show that the brand image of WRU perceived by the Hanoi-based high school students is not good enough, which is reflected by insignificantly strong, mildly favorable and mostly far-from-unique brand associations linked with the university in their mind. The strength of the associations varies from weak to slightly strong, but the strongest associations are mostly not considered highly favorable by Hanoian high school students. Meantime, the university has not created any really unique associations to distinguish itself from other universities in the city. Besides, there are several negative associations linked to the WRU brand, adversely affecting the brand image in the eyes of high school students in Hanoi, which partly explains the lack of attraction of WRU. Consequently, a number of recommendations were drawn out in order to improve the WRU brand image in the community of high school students in Hanoi.

The main purpose when I do this study is to find and examine the factors affecting job performance of lecturers in universities in general, and in Foreign Trade University (FTU) in particular. I use five factors namely: Work itself, Supervision on present job, Present payment, Present opportunities for promotion, Coworkers, and Achievement in the current work in a research model of satisfaction. The research method used in this study is quantitative method with multivariate statistical analysis steps such as Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient, explore descriptive analysis, ANOVA analysis, multi regression analysis. The results of the study indicate that it has various factors that influence different to the job performance of the lecturers. Specifically, the achievement in your present job, this factor is strongest influence on job performance, the present payment is second-highest impact, and the present opportunities for promotion and the works itself have the same effect. Next, others have no significant effect on job performance in FTU. Therefore, to improve the job performance of lecturers the leader should focus more on improving the job achievement and payment for teachers. In addition, the study results also showed some suggestions to further meet the needs of lecturers and also pointed out the limitations of the study.

Today, the role of information is very necessary to the need of using information technology to manage my working at Ha Noi University of Home Affairs, I understand that information managing system of university is quite out of date, complicated, espeacially in training progress. Therefore, we chose the topic : ”Developing an information system to support training progress: A case of Ha Noi University of Home Affairs” to build up an software program that help staff to manage the information in order to improve the effeciency and quality of training progress in University. Our program was built up based on Visual Studio C# programming language and SQL server. The program has made training progress simpler and less time consuming. However, because of the limit researching time, the program still has some problems that need to be completed such as : making statistics about the lecturer’s teaching lessons and researching time or the function of planning exams for students. If I has more time, I will complete the program better to meet the demands of training process of Ha noi University of Home Affairs.

In highly competitive environment nowadays, E-commerce can be considered as an important source of competitive advantage for most of enterprises, especially small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Before, the researches focused mainly on the adoption of E-commerce in developed countries. However, today, with the steady development of economy, developing countries (including Vietnam) have gained more and more attentions of researchers. Thus, the studies in this field are rising. Over the last few years, after Vietnam implemented Reform (Doi Moi) policy and opened its market, a number of Vietnamese SMEs have implemented and gained benefits from it. The purpose of this study is to examine and to understand more clearly the impact of Sellers’ Past Performance, Buyer’s Past Experience and Psychological Contract Violation on Online Shopping Transaction Intentions. Although the psychological contract has been a popular topic in managerial research for the past twenty years, recent critiques of the research in this area point to several shortcomings. These are believed to result primarily from the overwhelming use of analysis technique, survey questionnaires, and other correlational procedures in the study of this construct. One particular research question that has generated mixed results involves the effect that student’s psychological contract (either transactional or relational) has on individuals’ perceptions of contract breach and feelings of violation following a seller’s violation. This study sought to explain the relationship between buyer's past experience, seller's past performance, psychological contract violation, and transaction intention of student in future. This study was conducted a survey by giving the questionnaire to customer, who are student of 10 Universities in Hanoi city: Hanoi University of Agriculture, Viet Nam Nation University, University of Transport and Communications, Viet Nam University of Commerce, Hanoi National University of Education, Hanoi University of Business and Technology, National Economics University, Foreign Trade University, Hanoi Medical University, Hanoi University of Science and Technology. The data obtain through conducting a survey will be analyzed by various techniques such as descriptive analysis to provide the information regarding the respondent’s gender, department, academic year…, then using Cronbach’s α, regression analysis, t-test to examine the correlation between each variable and observe the different point of view related to respondent’s demographic profile. The data through the research’s instrument shows that most of the hypotheses proposed in this study are supported, except the hypothesis about the influence of Sellers’ Past Performance, Buyer’s Past Experience on Psychological Contract Violation and Transaction Intentions. The result of this study provided strong, substantial evidence that Psychological Contract Violation and Sellers’ Past Performance have significant positive effect on Transaction Intentions. Buyer’s Past Experience has significant positive effect on Psychological Contract Violation. Theoretical contributions and practical implications of the findings are discussed and suggestions for the future researches are presented.
