Abstract:
Dette nummer af Tidsskrift for Arbejdsliv er et temafrit nummer-sådan som hvert andet nummer i princippet er det. De to første numre i år har dog været temanumre, så derfor bliver nummer 3 og 4 temafri. Hermed har vi mulighed for i mindst halvdelen af numrene at bringe artikler, som ikke på forhånd passer under et tema. Blandt de artikler, som redaktionen har modtaget til årets tredje nummer, er der imidlertid to, som tilsammen udgør en slags minitema. De handler om aktivering. Det var også temaet for årets første nummer, og for konferencen i forbindelse med CSA's årsmøde i januar. Referater af nogle af indlæggene om aktivering fra konferencen og indledningen til temanummeret kan ses på tidsskriftets hjemmeside. Adressen er wwwnyt-om-arbejdslivdk/. Vi ser den fortsatte diskussion i dette nummer som udtryk for, at valget af 'Aktivering' som tema har ramt ned i en samfundsmæssigt central diskussion. Henover sommeren har en kontanthjælpsmodtager fra Køge bebudet, at han ved en retssag vil have prøvet, om det er lovligt at nægte kontanthjælpsmodtagere deres kontanthjælp, hvis de nægter at lade sig tvangsaktivere. I dette nummer skifter perspektivet på den aktuelle danske aktiveringsindsats. Mens artiklerne i temanummeret om aktivering primært fokuserede på de overordnede politiske og økonomiske rammer, så sætter de to første artikler i dette nummer fokus på de mikrosociologiske processer. Det handler om relationerne og interaktionen mellem medarbejderne i AF-systemet og borgerne, brugerne og klienterne. Her-med kvalificeres diskussionen af aktiveringsindsatsens menneskelige såvel som politiske implikationer i et arbejdslivsperspektiv. De øvrige tre artikler i nærværende nummer spænder tematisk bredt, men har alle et aktørperspektiv. Aktørerne er så forskellige som bestyrelsesformænd for store, transnationale virksomheder til bagere på et lille, økologisk bageri. Spændvidden understreger fint noget af det, som redaktørerne ønsker at fremhæve: At tidsskriftet er åbent for artikler med alle mulige forskellige vinkler på arbejdslivet. Desuden glæder det os, at der i dette nummer er en rimelig blanding af mandlige og kvindelige forfattere. I dette nummer er tre artikler desuden skrevet på baggrund af specialer og Phd.afhandlinger. Vi forestiller os, at mangfoldigheden i arbejdslivsfeltet kan styrkes og eksponeres bedre, hvis flere unge eller nyuddannede forskere samt praktikere uden for universitetsverdenen bidrager med artikler til tidsskriftet. Hvis du selv-eller nogle du kender-har skrevet noget inden for tidsskriftets område, som kunne være interessant for en bredere skare, vil vi med glæde tage det i betragtning. Abstract:
Ärendebelastning inom socialtjänsten är ett brett beforskat ämne. Dock saknas allt för ofta vad ärendebelastningen leder till i arbete med klienter. Syftet med denna studie var därmed att undersöka hur socialsekreterare, som arbetar med utredningar om barn och unga upplever hög ärendebelastning samt prioritering av ärenden i förhållande till klienter. Detta är en kvalitativ studie som utgår från en induktiv ansats. Studiens teoretiska perspektiv innefattar Lipskys teori om gräsrotsbyråkrater och dess handlingsutrymme samt ett maktperspektiv. Studien innehåller resultat från intervjuer med sju socialsekreterare från sex olika kommuner. En riktad innehållsanalys används under arbetet med datan från intervjuerna. Studiens slutsats visar att ärendebelastningen förändras över tid och att vid hög ärendebelastning måste respondenterna prioritera mellan ärenden. När det gäller att avgöra vilka ärenden som bör prioriteras utgår respondenterna alltid från barnets bästa samt ser till aspekten av direkt behov av skydd. Vidare dras slutsatsen att det administrativa arbetet har stor påverkan på respondenternas arbete med klienter i form av att tiden blir en bristvara. Studiens slutsatser visar att det finns skillnader mellan de medverkande kommunerna i denna studie, vilket kan påverka respondenternas arbete med klienter. Av respondenterna framkom det att de mindre kommunerna, som medverkat i studien, har ett mer begränsat batteri av insatser att tillhandahålla klienter. Detta kan medföra att klienter som är bosatta i mindre kommuner antingen behöver resa långt för att få tillgång till insatser i grannkommuner eller behöver förlita sig på de insatser som finns tillgängliga inom hemkommunen. Avslutningsvis visar slutsatserna att dessa insatser kan skilja sig mot de insatser de större kommunerna kan tillhandahålla.

Abstract:
Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka hur socialsekreterare upplever att makt synliggörs och hanteras i mötet med klienter som är aktuella i placeringsärenden. Intervjuer med fyra socialsekreterare inom arbetsgruppen barn och unga genomfördes. Vi har använt oss av hermeneutik som forskningsmetod och har analyserat resultatet utifrån Michael Foucaults teori om makt. Vår studie visar på att socialsekreterare har ett ambivalent förhållningssätt till makt samt att deras maktutövning ofta utgår från lagstiftningen. Vi har även kunnat påvisa att socialsekreterarna använder sig av omedvetna strategier för att hantera maktobalansen i mötet med klienter.

Abstract:
This study explores the experiences of the Swedish front-line social workers (socialsekreterare) in the municipal income support unit, Young Adults, monthly assessing the income support applications as well as daily processing the activation programs for young adult clients with mental ill-health combined with social-medicinal vulnerabilities, also referred to as young adults with complex needs. Furthermore, this study aims to illuminate the ever changing conditions of the Swedish welfare state and its underlying driving forces through the lens of the social workers. 9 Semi-structured distance interviews with 11 social workers from 6 municipalities belonging to 5 regions in Sweden, were conducted for the collection of qualitative data. It has been analyzed by the inductive-deductive coding as well as a theoretical frame consisting of concepts such as discretiona and advocacy of M. Lipsky, and reciprocal interaction (Wechselwirkung), form and contents, and call of G.Simmel. The result and analysis show that the rehabilitative approach based on the interactions and relations with the clients, is prevalent through the social workers’ processing of the activation program. It seems to be effective in a dyad, between the social workers and the client while the social workers’ discretion is maximized for the utilization of the agency (unit) activation resources. However, it proved not to be as effective in a triad or more when an extern agent outside of the unit, Young Adults begins to be involved. The tension is a fact and the social workers’ discretion is minimized when they have to process the activation program for the clients who are neither “active enough” to have a job in the ordinary labor market, nor “sick enough” to be eligible for the stately activity compensation (aktivitetsersättning) from the Social Insurance Agency (Försäkringskassan) which heavily relies on the medicinal expertise for its decision making. The social workers’ experience to fail to deliver the best possible results out of the activation programs, and the client relationship built on the rehabilitative approach turns out to be unsustainable, which can indicate the discrepancy between the rehabilitative approach as well as the activation programs, as content, and the unit, Young Adults, as form. Even though the social workers daily carry the ideological as well as the social-political tensions between the medicalization and the activation through the ever changing reality of the Swedish welfare state, their mandate to make an impact on the decision making of the activity compensation program, is rather limited, reflecting the Swedish welfare state’s expectation for the professionalism of the social workers. Rather striking that the social workers, however, confess that they in spite of the pressure of organizational efficiency as well as socio-economic discourse of digitalization undermining the concept of the unit, Young Adults, are not willing to give up the rehabilitative approach for the client’s sake but also to protect their unit, Young Adults, which postulate that they are not the gatekeepers in the agency but the advocate for the clients. In this moment, they also seem to know, and even have the call, the essential, if not mandatory, element needed to be landed in the perfect society of G. Simmel.

Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to examine the school counsellors and social service workers experience of how the child psychiatry manage their authority in the collaboration concerning children with mental health problems. The study was conducted using qualitative interviews with school counsellors, social service workers and one former employee of the Swedish child psychiatric care. Our results are divided into two themes: Collaboration and distribution of responsibility and Children who fall between the cracks. Examples of groups of children who according to our study are at risk of falling between the cracks are those who apart from mental issues have substance abuse issues or social issues, those whose parents are in a child custody dispute, children who are acting out and children with self-harm issues. The study also reveals that it's easier for children whose parents are active and knowledgeable to get help from the child psychiatric care and that it's a requirement for both parents and children to be highly motivated.There are established social hierarchs between agencies who partake in collaboration regarding children with mental illness. The child psychiatry have a higher status than the social services and the school and therefore greater power to steer the collaboration in a way that benefits the organisations own interests. The structure of the Swedish child psychiatric care is founded in a way that benefits the sorting of clients through the requirement of diagnoses and the will to sort out the psychic problems from the social.Our conclusions with the study is the way that children with mental illness are categorized and where the child is referred is mainly because of a broad conception that Abbott (1981) could describe where the mental issues are considered as "pure" and the social issues are considered "impure".

Abstract:
Syftet med denna utredning var att undersöka hur unga klienter skapar och utvecklar sin identitet som intagna på SiS särskilda ungdomshem. Ingen datainsamling har skett i samband med utredningen. Istället har utredningen utgått från ett publicerat material; tre upplagor av bokserien SiS unga berättar. Utredningen har genomförts med utgångspunkt i en kvalitativ ansats med fokus på beskrivning, tolkning och förståelse. Materialet analyserades med hjälp av en kvalitativ textanalys som bestod av två steg: kodning och tolkning. Olika mönster, teman och nyckelbegrepp identifierades vid kodningen. Vid tolkningen relaterades de olika delarna i kodningen till varandra och kopplades till teoretiska begrepp samt jämfördes med tidigare forskning. Goffmans (2014) teori om totala institutioner och Giddens (1999) teori om identitet användes som teoretiska utgångspunkter i den här utredningen. Resultatet av utredningen visade att tillvaron på de särskilda ungdomshemmen kan ha betydelse för unga klienters identitetsskapande då klienterna lever i en mycket speciell kontext utan handlingsfrihet och med mycket begränsade kommunikationsmöjligheter. Även sociala relationer kan bidra till unga klienters identitetsskapande. För unga klienter är ofta relationen med familj och vänner mycket värdefull och trygghetsskapande. Samtidigt tyder utredningens resultat på att komplicerade relationer med representanter från socialtjänsten är vanligt bland unga klienter. Framtiden är viktig men oviss för många unga klienter. Både handlingar i klientens förflutna och framtida möjligheter kan vara betydelsefulla för de unga klienternas identitetsskapande.
The purpose of this investigation was to explore how young clients create and develop their identity as inmates at SiS special residential homes. No data collection has been made duringthe investigation. Instead, the investigation has been based on a published material; three editions of the Swedish book series SiS Unga berättar. The investigation has been carried out on the basis of a qualitative approach with a focus on description, interpretation and understanding. The material was analyzed using a qualitative text analysis that consisted of two steps: coding and interpretation. Different patterns, themes and key concepts were identified during the coding. In the interpretation, the different parts of the coding related to each other were linked to theoretical concepts as well as previous research. Goffman's theory of total institutions and Gidden’s theory of identity were used as a theoretical perspective in this investigation. The results of the investigation showed that the environment in the special residential homes can be important for young clients' identity creation as the clients live in a very special context without freedom of action and with very limited communication opportunities. Social relationships can also contribute to young clients' identity construction. For young clients, the relationship with family and friends is often very important and contributes to the clients feeling of safety. At the same time, the results of the investigation indicate that complicated relationships with representatives from the social services are common among young clients. The future is important but uncertain for many young clients. Both actions in the client's past and future opportunities can be important for the young clients' identity construction.

Abstract:

Syftet med denna examensuppsats var att undersöka vad unga vuxna själva upplevde hjälpte dem i deras psykoterapier, och vad de tyckte var negativt i dessa. Undersökningen gällde även hur de såg på betydelsen av psykologens ålder och kön. Analysmetoden var grundad teori. Med hjälp av en halvstrukturerad kvalitativ intervju intervjuades sex före detta klienter med en medianålder på 21 år. Resultatet utmynnade i sex kategorier med tillhörande underteman, nämligen Vad klienten ser av sig själv: Att vara ung och ovan i terapisituationen. Vad klienten ser av psykologen: Psykologen som professionell, Psykologen som person, Psykologens kön, Psykologens ålder. Vad klienten gör och inte gör: Att få prata med någon, Att bli lyssnad på, Ta upp saker till ytan, Sånt man helt enkelt inte pratar om. Vad psykologen gör och inte gör: Ge feedback, Ge sammanhang i livet, Tystnad. I terapirummet: Att bli sedd och bekräftad, Samspel, Rummet. Utanför terapirummet: Hemläxor, Avslut. Det informanterna upplevde hjälpte dem mest var att få prata med en utomstående person som kunde hjälpa dem att komma vidare. Det som uppfattades som mest negativt var ifall psykologen var alltför tyst och passiv. Tystnaden i sig beskrev de som väldigt besvärande, vilket är ett nytt fynd i förhållande till tidigare forskning.
