Abstract:
SummaryReviewing three important recently published volumes on Pentateuch criticism, Torsten Uhlig highlights their merits and limits, evaluates their contribution to the interpretation of the Pentateuch and summarises some of the central issues that Pentateuch studies need to address. Among them, he raises the issue of integrating diachronic studies and narrative approaches. Moreover, while previous evangelical contributions to Pentateuch studies often focused on aspects of unity, Uhlig indicates the merits of acknowledging and integrating the diversities in a narratological approach. He concludes with some hermeneutical reflections that also interrelate with other disciplines of theology.

Abstract:
GIF can be defined as a moving image characterized by brevity, repetition (loop), and an apparently low informative content; used as a pseudo-linguistic element, GIF is able to re-mediate a pre-existing text and to resemanticize it. The image originates from a process of decontextualization of an audiovisual element, quoting or referring to the original text (Uhlin) – taken from television, cinema, video art, or homemade. The fragment is then assigned with a new specific meaning, when it is used for a communicative purpose (especially on social networks), acting as a container of variable information designated to substitute articulate colloquial elements both emotional or explanatory. Through the analysis of the possible uses of GIF online, which exemplifies the actual concepts of post-truth and remix, the contribution aims to identify the communicative properties of the object, collecting cases within specific social platforms. GIF appears as a behavioral crossroad of contemporaneity, both in terms of re-use of creative contents and of demystification of current facts.

Abstract:
Abstract Shaped charge jets (SCJs) are of interest in the field of ballistics because of their excellent penetration ability. The various characteristics of an SCJ, such as density, temperature and length of the jet, are important when estimating the expected penetration depth. Therefore, these characteristics have been widely researched [1-5]. Zernow studied the density deficit associated with an in-flight jet using densitometry [1]. This prior work determined that the 15-20% density deficit of a Cu jet (as reported by Jamet [2]) includes a temperature contribution of 3.5%, an experimental error of 5% and a so-called “vacancy avalanche” contribution of 6.5%. Uhlig and Hummer measured the conductivity and temperature of in-flight Cu SCJs by employing a novel magnetic diffusion technique and five color radiometry. The resulting conductivity values indicated that the tip of the SCJ had a bulk temperature on the order of 1200 K, which is in the vicinity of the melting point of Cu (1350 K) [3]. Hertel et al. developed an analytical model for the SCJ formation process. CTH calculations utilizing their analytical model accurately predicted the thermodynamic characteristics of the SCJ [4, 5]. Huang quantified the density of an SCJ and reported the density distribution based on evaluating the x-ray absorption coefficient of a metal jet [6], and found that the density of a powder metal jet decreases toward the jet tip as the jet elongates. These prior reports indicate that observations of various jet features under high temperature conditions (close to the melting point) can be a useful means of assessing the density deficit of an SCJ.

Kuzu, Serdar. "The Effects of the Illiquidity Premium on Security Returns and its Importantance for Eurasia." In International Conference on Eurasian Economies. Eurasian Economists Association, 2011. http://dx.doi.org/10.36880/c02.00269.

Abstract:
This study investigates the illiquidity premium, which has major impact on Eurasian economies, and its term structure. For this aim, The Germany which is very important for Europa and Asia countries is investigated. In this study, the effects of the term structure of the illiquidity premium on government and corporate bonds and “the return of securities – illiquidity premium – expectation theory relationship” are investigated through various parameters and formulations. Consequently, the study is used to Kempf, Korn and Uhrig-Homburg’ study, which aims to investigate relations between German public sector’s bonds and private sector’s bonds and it was realized 2009. It is found that illiquidity premium varies in short, medium and long terms depending upon different factors and the curve that connects illiquidity premiums with different terms is a U shaped curve. Studies that use traditional methods in asset pricing evaluate the illiquidity premium as a systematic risk criteria. But, illiquidity is a risk factor that should be investigated alone instead of be investigated with all of the risk factors. Financial market makers aim to make arrangements that remove the problems arising from the level of liquidity, in other words increase the level of liquidity, and contribute to the formation of efficient price.Further studies in this field will be very important in the development process of corporate bonds market with the decrease of interest rates in international markets and the issue of new corporate bonds in developing countries recently.
