Abstract:
This article presents a socioecological approach (accounting for physical, societal, and interpersonal environments) to psychological theorizing and research. First, we demonstrate that economic systems, political systems, religious systems, climates, and geography exert a distal yet important influence on human mind and behavior. Second, we summarize the historical precedents of socioecological psychology. There have been several waves of ecological movements with distinct emphases in the history of psychological science, such as K. Lewin’s (1936, 1939) field theory and U. Bronfenbrenner’s (1977) ecological approach to human development. Environmental and community psychologies, created in the late 1960s and early 1970s, promoted social activism through basic and applied research on ecological factors and social outcomes. Most recently, the rise of cultural psychology has encouraged psychologists to pay attention to cultural factors in basic psychological processes, but note that less attention has been given to socioecological factors per se. We highlight the benefits of bringing the socioecological perspective back to mainstream psychological theorizing and research.

Abstract:
Objective. The article is devoted to the analysis of the narrative identity of Chinese and Russian students. It was assumed that the reflection of the socio-political situation is more obvious and manifests itself in the main themes and attitudes, reflecting both the content side of the narrative and its structure, while the identification of cultural influence requires additional analysis. Background. Cross-cultural studies point to the need to analyze the narrative at the individual, political, social, economic and cultural level. In theory, each of the levels has its own influence on the structure and content of the narrative. Nevertheless, there is an extremely small amount of practical data on the comparison of various types of analysis and the peculiarities of their manifestation in narrative. Study design. The article analyzed the features in the presentation of fragments of biography, the manner of presenting information and mentioning the main topics of the citizens of countries with a different socio-political system. Participants. The sample consisted of 80 people: 35 narratives of students from the PRC (19 male and 16 females from 19 to 26 years old) and 45 narratives of students from the Russian Federation (PFUR) (17 male and 28 females from 20 to 23 years old). All participants were born between 1997 and 2000. Measurements. The article used the analysis of narrative identity of K. McLean and D. McAdams both as a theory and as research method. Statistical analysis included the calculation of differences between the two samples (Mann-Whitney U test) and hierarchical cluster analysis. Results. The narratives of Russian and Chinese students reflect inconsistency and a high degree of uncertainty of the socio-political situation in Russia, as well as great social pressure and high competition in China. Conclusions. The structure of narrative identity primarily reflects the socio-political situation as related to the direct experience of students. Cultural experience affects more fundamental personality constructs and is not read in ordinary narrative analysis.

Abstract:
This paper provides an analysis of the practical implications of the concept of solidarity economy and the elements of public policies that affect the solidarity economy in Croatia. In a broader sense, solidarity is a common component of economic behaviour. In a narrower sense, solidarity refers to a set of economic practices that meet the criteria of balancing economic, social and environmental sustainability, joint ownership and participatory governance. Solidarity economy supports the construction and maintenance of common economic goods, which may occur within legal entities, as well as in contractual relations or informal cooperation. Solidarity economy is close to the concept of social economy, and significantly different from collaborative (sharing) economy. Public policies that encourage solidarity-based economic practices have their origins in the welfare state regime and the level of solidarity in society, which is followed by ideologies, strategies and activities of political and economic actors. The social contributions of the solidarity economy and the risks to which it is exposed justify state intervention in this area, which can be reflected in regulation and institutional, financial and tax support to its actors and processes. Public policies in Croatia generally do not recognise the importance of the social and solidarity economy and its actors, such as cooperatives and social enterprises. Although the recognition of possible contributions of the social and solidarity economy to society and the economy in Croatia is growing, the incentive framework is incomplete and insufficient, which is reflected in the results and future prospects of this sector. Key words: solidarity, solidarity economy, public policy, cooperatives, social enterprises.

Abstract:
A political economy of social welfare in Croatia explores drivers of, and impediments to, change, addressing the impact of processes of neo-liberalisation, the complexities of regulatory and institutional landscapes and the interactions of nation, familialism, and class. Instead of a stable welfare regime, Croatia?s welfare system is marked by hybridity in the context of a political economy that continues to be crisis- prone. This paper focuses on the social welfare implications of the mix of ?crony?, ?authoritarian? and ?predatory? capitalism present in Croatia since independence. Other than the role of international actors including the World Bank and the European Union, and notwithstanding the lack of political will for reform, we suggest that two broad forces are dominant in shaping social welfare in Croatia. The first is war veterans? associations and their supporters, keen to maintain and even extend their significant benefits in return for continued support for the HDZ party (Croatian Democratic Union), a quasi-institutionalised form of ?social clientelism?. The second is an empowered radical right, promulgating a conservative Catholic agenda of a return to ?traditional? - that is, heteronormative - family values, reinforcing an aggressive Croatian nationalism and advocating ?demographic renewal?.

This article has been corrected. Abstract:
M.Tech. (Architectural Technology)
This dissertation is structured to mimic or represent my design project, which was developed in conjunction with theoretical readings and research. The aim is to provide a comprehensive representation of the project’s development from theoretical beginnings to architectural detail. This dissertation attempts to uncover, explore and understand the fragile relationship between man, nature and architecture, stemming from a deeply personal interest in the rehabilitation of political wastelands through ecological restoration. The aim of this study is to pursue a holistic design approach, which understands the architectural discipline as an interrelated profession in which buildings cannot be designed in isolation. Broken down into three main parts, this document illustrates the development of my theoretical and contextual interests into design. These papers are presented in their entirety of this document as Part A (starting point and research influence), Part B (process and discovery) and Part C which introduces a narrative program developed for the architectural discovery of K-206 (nestled within ‘jungle’ in Alexandra). A series of abstract drawings and model building experiments initially framed the investigation, allowing for chance, exploration and the unexpected, valuable experiments in the development of an architectural language and vocabulary which were refined over the course of the year

Abstract:
In the paper, the author suggests that the emergence of the Internet as a global network that exceeds spatial and time limits has accelerated and qualitatively changed the way media services are provided. While grass-media outlets such as radio, radio and even television have been slow to develop their media offerings, The internet has accelerated this offer and made it more diverse and accessible to more users, especially middle and younger ages, who are more understanding and understanding. Unlike earlier times, the amount of time it takes to provide a media service to audiences has been reduced to a minimum. The speed of technoloc development leads to a complete service at a time, from portals, to video on the substew, podcasts, video sharing platforms, etc. The world of media exclusivity has long been the same. The media communication on the market is two-way, and the information comes from a variety of sources that aren't always easily verified. A citizen becomes a participant in the online space and online marketplace with a single click on a computer or mobile phone screen. Internet platform owners are racing to find a better business model for themselves, managing to gradually suppress traditional media from the media market. These days, modern societies are affected on two levels. The first is political and the second is economic. Democratic institutions and freedom of expression are threatened by the emergence of malign intelligence, misinformation and disinformation, which affects the quality of electoral prostitution and the work of political institutions. The essence of democratic tissue is in serious danger. The economic aspect is reflected in the construction of a special click-based online model, in which internet businesses create challenges of competitiveness, fairness and opportunities to enter markets, as the main online platforms more or less control the ecosystems of the digital economy. The media service market is experiencing a deep "platformization," making the internet platform a dominant infrastructure and economic model in the media sector. An important role in both of these pro-öes, political and economic, has etho-chambers, i.e. algorithms for monitoring the behaviour of internet users. The media ecosystem is becoming more viral and less realistic. This gives science research these phenomena the characteristics of a thought experiment or paradox.

Full text
Abstract:
Foundational education system commonly referred to as K-12 school education is fundamental for people to succeed in life as noted in United Nations declaration of human rights. Consequently, decades of investments have helped K-12 sector evolve and respond to new demands but many of the traditional thinking has remained and thus hinder agility and disruptive evolution of the system. In most countries the national school education systems are perhaps the largest single enterprise and subjected to socio-cultural, economic and political influences, which in turn make it reluctant and/or difficult to change the system. However, as the world transitions from industrial revolution to information revolution and now to knowledge economy, the foundational education sector has been confronted with several simultaneous challenges. The monograph reviews and analyses how these challenges may be supported in a system that is reliant on traditional rigid time frames and confronted by complex external pressures that are blurring the boundaries of the school education landscape.
