Abstract:
Inappropriate saccades are prevented by fixation and by voluntary attention. The fixation system inhibits the saccade system. Like monkeys without a fixation system, humans with a weak fixation system produce many express saccades and cannot suppress prosaccades in an antisaccade task. With permanent attention to a peripheral location only a few express saccades to a stimulus at this location can be elicited: the sustained component of attention acts like fixation. When attention is captured by a precue, more express saccades are obtained: the stimulus-driven component of attention facilitates saccade generation. If the cue correctly indicates the direction for an antisaccade error rate and latencies are increased.

Abstract:
Historically, Huntington’s disease (HD; OMIM #143100) has played an important role in the enormous advances in human genetics seen over the past four decades. This familial neurodegenerative disorder involves variable onset followed by consistent worsening of characteristic abnormal movements along with cognitive decline and psychiatric disturbances. HD was the first autosomal disease for which the genetic defect was assigned to a position on the human chromosomes using only genetic linkage analysis with common DNA polymorphisms. This discovery set off a multitude of similar studies in other diseases, while the HD gene, later renamed HTT, and its vicinity in chromosome 4p16.3 then acted as a proving ground for development of technologies to clone and sequence genes based upon their genomic location, with the growing momentum of such advances fueling the Human Genome Project. The identification of the HD gene has not yet led to an effective treatment, but continued human genetic analysis of genotype-phenotype relationships in large HD subject populations, first at the HTT locus and subsequently genome-wide, has provided insights into pathogenesis that divide the course of the disease into two sequential, mechanistically distinct components.

Abstract:
Two-phase and single-phase pressure drop data were obtained for flow in horizontal 5.08-cm-dia pipe and piping components that included: a 9.14-m straight section of pipe; a gate valve; an elbow; a combination of elbow and gate valve separated by different pipe lengths; a globe valve; a swing check valve; and a union. Single-phase pressure drops produced by each component were used to establish the resistance coefficient, K. This resistance was then used to calculate two-phase pressure drops for each component using the Tremblay and Andrews homogeneous flow model. An acceptable agreement was found between measured and predicted pressure drops for all piping components studied. Pressure recovery lengths for individual components were found to be 10–50 pipe diameters, depending on flow rates. The resistance coefficient of two components separated by a distance less than the recovery length was always greater than the summation of each individual resistance coefficient.

Abstract:
The promising branching agent cyclanilide [1-(2,4-dichlorophenylaminocarbonyl)-cyclopropane carboxylic acid] is not permitted in the EU and the low vigour rootstocks preferred by growers make the branching of young sweet cherry (Prunus avium) trees difficult in the temperate zone production regions. To increase the number and length of new branches (“feathers”) on such trees, chemical (6-benzyladenine [BA], gibberellic acid [GA4/7]), mechanical (leaf pinching, summer notching) and various combined treatments were tested from 2015–2018. The numbers of feathers divided into three different lengths (1–10 cm, 10–30 cm and > 30 cm) were assessed as the main indicator of quality, supplemented with other morphological characteristics. Summer notching induced an insufficient number of feathers and led to some negative effects on the trees. The number of feathers from BA or BA with GA4/7 treatment also was insufficient. The effect of pinching alone was variable. The number of all feathers generally was highest when pinching was combined with BA, regardless of the year or cultivar.

Abstract:
The general field, containing all the macroscopic fields in it, is divided into the mass component, the source of which is the mass four-current, and the charge component, the source of which is the charge four-current. The mass component includes the gravitational field, acceleration field, pressure field, dissipation field, strong interaction and weak interaction fields, other vector fields. The charge component of the general field represents the electromagnetic field. With the help of the principle of least action we derived the field equations, the equation of the matter’s motion in the general field, the equation for the metric, the energy and momentum of the system of matter and its fields, and calibrated the cosmological constant. The general field components are related to the corresponding vacuum field components so that the vacuum field generates the general field at the macroscopic level.

Abstract:
A method to describe exact solutions of the Einstein-Maxwell field equations in terms of relativistic thin disks constituted by two perfect charged fluids is presented. Describing the surface of the disk as a single charged fluid we find explicit expressions for the rest energies, the pressures and the electric charge densities of the two fluids. An explicit example is given. The particular case of the thin disks composed by two charged perfect fluids with barotropic equation of state is also presented.

Abstract:
The article examines the aspects of building the geological model of oilfield, it suggests a number of methods of distribution of geometric and porosity-permeability properties of reservoir formations on the basis of geophysical and hydrodynamic studies of data. In this article also is described the mathematical model of oilfield, which characterizes the unsteady filtration of two-component (water+oil) medium. This model is linked to the model of transport hydraulic system (THS) and allows to specify the interaction of technical hydrosystem and formation hydrosystem in the conditions of changing of porosity-permeability properties of multihorizont field and technical characteristics of the elements of aboveground system.
