Abstract:
Network polymers containing Si-vinylene units have been synthesized by Mizoroki-Heck reaction of cyclic siloxane or cubic silsesquioxane compounds with vinyl groups, as joint molecules, and dibromo aryl compounds, as linker molecules, using a Pd catalyst. The reaction of 1,3,5,7-tetravinyltetramethylcyclotetrasiloxane (TVMCTS) or octavinyloctasilsesquioxane (PVOSS) with o, m, p-dibromobenzene (DBB) or 4,4'-dibromobiphenyl (DBBP) yielded the corresponding network polymers, except TVMCTS-oDBB system. Optical properties of the network polymers were studied by UV-vis and photoluminescence spectroscopy, and absorption and emission derived from s-p conjugation of the Si-vinylene units were detected. Copolymerization of TVMCTS-DBB/bromobenzene yielded CHCl3 soluble fraction due to formation of the network fragments. The network polymers of TVMCTS or PVOSS with 2,7-dibromofluorene (BFl) or 9,9-dihexyl-2,7-dibromofluorene were synthesized by the same procedures. Scanning electron microscope image of TVMCTS-BFl network polymer indicated formation of porous structure. The network polymers have been also synthesized by the reactions of multifunctional aryl bromide, as the joint molecules, with divinyl or dially silane compounds, as the linker molecules. The molecular structure of the multifunctional aryl bromide affected the emission wavelengths of the network polymers. In the case of the 2,2’,7,7’-tetrabromo-9,9’-spirobifluorene-based network polymers, the emission spectra widely ranged from 450 to 500 nm, which were sensitive to molecular structure of the divinyl or dially silane compounds.

Abstract:
The rice sheath blight pathogen, Rhizoctonia solani, produces a toxin designated as RS-toxin, a carbohydrate compound containing mainly alpha-glucose and mannose. Different microflora were tested for RS-toxin inactivation. Isolates of Trichoderma viride inactivated this toxin when it was provided as the sole food source, and these isolates reduced the severity of toxin-induced symptoms and electrolyte leakage from rice cells. The best-performing isolate, TvMNT7, produced two extracellular proteins of 110 and 17 kDa. The high molecular mass protein was shown to have alpha-glucosidase activity. The purified 110 kDa protein was able to reduce RS-toxin activity.Key words: rice sheath blight disease, Rhizoctonia solani, RS-toxin, toxin inactivation, Trichoderma viride.

Abstract:
Sociological Research of TV Audience Behaviour Factors Determining The Time Spent Watching TV ABSTRACT The thesis deals with the phenomenon of TV viewing and with TV audience behaviour research. The theoretical part demarcates watching TV within leisure activities and deals with the question of motivation for watching TV as well. It also mentions the approach of people who intentionally try to exclude TV from their life. The text does not omit even the important contemporary determinants of watching TV - Internet and digitization of TV broadcasting. Subsequently, the main methods of TV audience behaviour research in the Czech Republic are introduced. In the empirical part, the main factors that most affect the time spent watching TV are being identified - first through separate elementary analyses and afterwards through searching for a regression model that would best predict the time spent watching TV for individuals and groups based on their socio-demographic and other characteristics. Keywords: television, time spent watching TV, watching TV, ATS, Peoplemeter, TVmeter, TV viewer, TV audience behaviour research

Abstract:
A new time-varying multivariate autoregressive (TVMAR) model method for modal parameter identification of linear time-varying (TV) systems with multi-output is introduced. Besides, a modified recursive least square method based on the traditional one is presented to determine the coefficient matrices of the TVMAR model. In the proposed method, multi-dimensional nonstationary response signals of the vibrating system can be processed simultaneously. Not only the TV modal frequency and damping ratio of the system, but also the changing behavior of the mode shape in the course of vibration are identified by the proposed procedure. Numerical simulations, in which a three-degree-of-freedom system with TV stiffness is respectively subjected to impulse excitation and white noise excitation, are presented. The validity and accuracy of the method are demonstrated by the good simulation results.
