Abstract:
Abstract Solar photovoltaic (PV) system is proven to be a future-proof type of power generation for growing economies. There are almost zero pollutants released, low maintenance cost with high reliability as the lifespan of a solar PV stretches up to 30 years, a well-sought alternative form of sustainable energy. Moreover, the electricity consumption in Taylor’s University (TU), Malaysia is very high, as a consequence, a huge fraction of the fund is used to settle an RM450,000 electricity bill on average annually. In this paper, the study focused on how to reduce electricity consumption in TU by proposing a design of a comprehensive solar PV system. PVSYST and Sketchup software are used to design and analyze the PV system. In the present study, a Grid-Connected Photovoltaic (GCPV) mounted on the available roof space of TU is investigated. Also, a detailed economic analysis that includes the payback period and annual savings achieved through the proposed PV installation is analyzed. Annual savings of RM 267,621.00 can be made upon utilizing the proposed idea. Besides that, TU would be able to recover the initial investment cost in approximately 8 years of payback period, proving that the implementation of a 433kWp of solar PV unit is a smart option to address the sustainable energy goals.

Abstract:
This article aims at identifying the opportunities and the challenges of implementing the online classes in Tribhuvan University (TU) which is the oldest and the largest university in Nepal. The opportunities and challenges have been identified based on the information collected through comparison of the involvement of the students in the face-to-face class before COVID-19 and the online class after the effect of Corona Virus in TU. I have collected the necessary information through naturally occurring environment involving the bachelor level fourth year students who have been studying English education in a TU campus. Although the article discusses some crucial factors that lead to the realization of the need of online class in Nepal, it attempts to justify the emergence of COVID-19 as an opportunity to commence the hot discussion focusing on the need of online classes and its implementation in TU. However, the implementation seems to be more challenging due to some common and hidden problems realized during the implementation of the online class in one of the oldest constituent campuses, i.e. Mahendra Ratna Multiple Campus (MRMC), Ilam. Online classes can be run more successfully if the the common and hidden problems are addressed that have been identified in this article. The article indicates some serious challenges of implementing the online classes in TU; however, online classes can be implemented even in TU more successfully addressing those challenges if the stakeholders take some serious steps to address those challenges.

Abstract:
Human Resource Management (HRM) has been a crucial issue for Tribhuvan University (TU) due to the presence of a high number of students and teachers within the University Structure. The main purpose of this study was to explore the practices of the HRM in the TU. I adopted socio-constructivism as a research paradigm and narrative inquiry as the research design which is qualitative in nature. It used in-depth interview technique to collect information which was supported by literature review. TU conducts its overall human resource activities in coordination with executive bodies, campus chief, and line agencies like TUSC. The executive body is responsible for the entire HRM practices and other bodies have their own peculiar functions. For Instance, TUSC conducts the job design, job analysis, selection, recruitment, and performance appraisal process in the entire TU. HRM practices are familiar to the rules and regulations of TU and adopt them.

Abstract:
In pursuit of the quality education, from the academic session 2018, Tribhuvan University (TU) launched the semester system, replacing the annual system in the postgraduate level to all its constituent and affiliated campuses across the country. As a constituent campus of TU, Prithvi Narayan Campus has started the new academic year under the semester system in all master’s degree programs. Implementing the semester system itself is not sufficient to attain quality education. It needs some basic requirements for its successful operation in place of the old annual system that was presumed to fail in delivering quality education. Full-time students, professional teachers, applied and innovative curriculums, scientific teaching methods, a resourceful library, a learning environment and a prompt academic calendar are essential requirements for a well-functioning semester system. To find out the perceptions and evaluations of the postgraduate students on some of the basic requirements of the semester system is the basic objective of this research paper. Class census surveys and informal interviews were conducted in seeking the required data to fulfill the objective of this paper.

Abstract:
One of the biggest challenges for multidisciplinary research institutions which provide data management support to researchers is addressing disciplinary differences (Akers and Doty,2013). Centralised services need to be general enough to cater for all the different flavours of research conducted in an institution. At the same time, focusing on the common denominator means that subject-specific differences and needs may not be effectively addressed. In 2017, Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) embarked on an ambitious Data Stewardship project, aiming to comprehensively address data management needs across a multi-disciplinary campus. In this article we describe the principles behind the Data Stewardship project at TU Delft, the progress so far, identify the key challenges and explain our plans for the future.

Abstract:
Teachers' professional development programme enables teachers to develop the knowledge and skills they need to address the students' learning. It assists the teachers to improve their instruction for the improvement of student learning achievement and better performance of community campuses. The purpose of this study was to explore the significance of Teachers’ Professional Development (TPD) to the teachers of community campus with their expectation, and responsibility. Qualitative case study design was adopted and three teachers were purposively selected from three distinct community campuses of Sindhuli district. Data were collected through semi-structured open-ended interview guidelines. Collected raw data were analysed using thematic analysis. The finding exposed that only teaching in the classroom is not enough for teachers' professional development. Besides, the teachers should participate in training, research work, writing journal article, teachers discussion programmes, learning from media, self/further study, attending in seminars/work-shops/conferences. TPD helps the teacher to develop professional knowledge, skills, new techniques and technology of teaching. The teachers are themselves supposed to be conscious and initiative for their professional developments.

Abstract:
Tracking temperature changes by measuring the resulting resistivity changes inside low-enthalpy reservoirs is crucial to avoid early thermal breakthroughs and maintain sustainable energy production. The controlled-source electromagnetic method (CSEM) allows for the estimation of sub-surface resistivity. However, it has not yet been proven that the CSEM can monitor the subtle resistivity changes typical of low-enthalpy reservoirs. In this paper, we present a feasibility study considering the CSEM monitoring of 4–8 Ω·m resistivity changes in a deep low-enthalpy reservoir model, as part of the Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) campus geothermal project. We consider the use of a surface-to-borehole CSEM for the detection of resistivity changes in a simplified model of the TU Delft campus reservoir. We investigate the sensitivity of CSEM data to disk-shaped resistivity changes with a radius of 300, 600, 900, or 1200 m at return temperatures equal to 25, 30, …, 50 °C. We test the robustness of CSEM monitoring against various undesired effects, such as random noise, survey repeatability errors, and steel-cased wells. The modelled differences in the electric field suggest that they are sufficient for the successful CSEM detection of resistivity changes in the low-enthalpy reservoir. The difference in monitoring data increases when increasing the resistivity change radius from 300 to 1200 m or from 4 to 8 Ω·m. Furthermore, all considered changes lead to differences that would be detectable in CSEM data impacted by undesired effects. The obtained results indicate that the CSEM could be a promising geophysical tool for the monitoring of small resistivity changes in low-enthalpy reservoirs, which would be beneficial for geothermal energy production.

Abstract:
This study aims to find out the reasons why students are required to submit three copies of proof of payment and the reasons for the Nommensen HKBP University so that it only applies the transfer method via ATM as an electronic payment procedure for students. The results of the research were obtained using the descriptive method that so far students have paid tuition fees through BRI using manual code 034. The foundation cannot receive details of the source of revenue and allocation of cash disbursements, providing an explanation why the foundation requires students to submit 3 photocopies of proof of payment of obligations. (three) sheets. When the payment is due, a very long queue will occur. Including going to the TU to generate payments also has its own obstacles for students. So that the university must switch to a virtual account (VA) because it not only makes the transaction process easier, but also has several benefits that are added value services, such as (1) Can accept payments from all banks. (2) Students do not need to confirm and check payment manually. (3) Funds go to campus accounts instantly on the same day. (4) Mapping of Virtual Account numbers that can be adjusted to the campus (for example: BRI Virtual Account Numbers on the campus of the HKBP Nommensen University, must be adjusted to the Student's NPM). (5) Not using campus deposit slips.

Abstract:
The total educational session completing in a half of the year is simply referred as semester system. In semester system the total educational activities are based upon the project basis. This study aimed at exploring the perceptions of faculties about the semester system adopted by a Tribhuvan University (TU) affiliated college in Nepal. It also dug out the faculties' experience of pedagogical transformation in higher education. For the sake of their world views, an interpretive paradigm was employed. In this philosophical orientation, subjective reality is an ontological position and multiple realities are epistemological standpoints. This study employed qualitative research method. Narrative inquiry was chosen as the research design. Four participants from the TU-affiliated colleges had been taken purposively from the campus located outside the Kathmandu Valley. An in-depth interview was conducted with research participants in their natural settings without any interruption. The result revealed that the faculties' perception of the semester system was diverse in nature. The student behaviors, faculty behaviors, and unpreparedness of teachers and administration seemed to be more challenging and unfruitful. The effectiveness of the semester system can contribute not only to pedagogical transformation but also to global knowledge. Through the semester system, the whole faculties and students are self-empowered and seek to understand the world through the effort of digital technology.
