The monograph Trogir: The Town and Its Monuments by Ivo Babić crowns the decades of his research and conservation work on Trogir’s monuments. In this extensive volume, he has presented a competent and comprehensive synthesis of the current knowledge on Trogir’s monuments and urbanism, as well as his own interpretation of the town in space and time. In three systematically divided chapters, he has covered all of Trogir’s significant works of art, from painting, sculpture and goldsmithing artefacts preserved in various museums and treasuries of the city, to works of sacred and profane architecture and urbanism. A special contribution of the author is his expert urban-cultural-historical study of the temporal and spatial framework of Trogir and its surroundings, presented in the introductory chapter. Abstract:
La rigidité artérielle ayant une valeur prédictive forte et indépendante d'évènements cardiovasculaires, nous émettons l'hypothèse que l'accumulation de variations de contraintes hémodynamiques altère la fonction et la structure des gros troncs artériels, indépendamment du niveau de pression artérielle. Nous avons donc mesuré l'impact de la variabilité tensionnelle sur la rigidité et la structure artérielles dans différents modèles de variabilité tensionnelle chez le rat.Chez le rat barodénervé et le rat sympathectomisé par la guanéthidine, 2 modèles de variabilité tensionnelle à court terme, une augmentation de la rigidité artérielle est associée à des altérations tissulaires différentes. En effet chez les rats barodénervés, une hypertrophie aortique est couplée à une augmentation du collagène et des attachements cellule-matrice (fibronectine et intégrine α5). Au contraire, chez les rats sympathectomisés, une hypotrophie vasculaire est associée à une diminution de l'élastine et une augmentation des attachements via l'intégrine αv.Nous avons ensuite créé, caractérisé et validé un modèle de variabilité tensionnelle à long terme, le rat spontanément hypertendu traité de façon discontinue par un antihypertenseur. Le traitement discontinu réduit la pression artérielle systolique tout en augmentant isolément la variabilité tensionnelle à long terme. La rigidité artérielle, élevée sous traitement discontinu, est associée à une hypertrophie vasculaire avec augmentation des attachements (fibronectine et intégrine αv) et sans modification du rapport élastine/collagène.En conclusion, l'élevation de variabilité tensionnelle engendre de la rigidité artérielle, et ce à pression artérielle constante. Les altérations structurales dans les modèles de variabilité tensionnelle étudiés impliquent des mécanismes différents reposant sur des modifications des relations cellule-matrice, mettant en jeu la fibronectine et les intégrines α5 et αv
Arterial stiffness is nowadays accepted as a strong and independent predictor of cardiovascular disease. We hypothesized that increased blood pressure variability (BPV) may lead to arterial damage, independently of the blood pressure level. We thus aimed investigating the relationship between BPV and arterial stiffness and composition of the aorta in different rat models of increased BPV.In a first study performed in two models of increased short term BPV, sinoaortic denervated and chemically sympathectomized rats, an increase in wall stiffness was associated with different modifications of cell-extracellular matrix adhesion. Indeed in sinoaortic denervated rats, increased media cross-sectional area was coupled with an increased collagen content and muscle cell attachments to its cell-extracellular matrix (fibronectin and its α5β1 integrin). In contrast, chemically sympathectomized rats were characterized by a reduced media cross-sectional area associated to a reduction of elastin content and upregulation of αvβ3 integrin.In a second study, we created, characterized and validated a new experimental model of long term BPV by discontinuously treating spontaneously hypertensive rats with valsartan. Discontinuous treatment reduced systolic blood pressure level but increased long term BPV. In addition, this treatment regimen failed to reduce arterial stiffness and induced a vascular hypertrophy without modification of elastin/collagen ratio. Discontinuous treatment also highly increased vascular fibronectin in parallel to αv integrin.In conclusion, a rise of both short- and long-term BPV leads to an increase in arterial stiffness, independently of blood pressure level. The structural changes at the origin of this increase in arterial rigidity involve different mechanisms, in which fibronectin and integrin α5 and αv play a key role

Abstract:
O Diabetes mellitus tipo 1 (DM1), na maioria dos casos, é causado pela destruição de células β pancreáticas, levando à hiperglicemia. Atualmente a única fonte de novas células β e os únicos tratamentos capazes de restaurar o padrão fisiológico de secreção de insulina nesses pacientes são o transplante de pâncreas e de ilhotas pancreáticas. O transplante de ilhotas apresenta problemas relacionados a enxertia, devido principalmente a baixa vascularização, o que leva à morte de células β nos primeiros dias pós-transplante. Células-tronco mesenquimais apresentam características interessantes para o tratamento do DM1. A primeira aplicação explorada nesse trabalho foi a capacidade de diferenciação de MSCs humanas e murinas em células produtoras de insulina (CPIs). A identidade das células isoladas foi confirmada pela caracterização imunofenotípica e pela capacidade de diferenciação adipogênica e osteogênica in vitro. Quatro protocolos de diferenciação em CPIs foram testados em MSCs derivadas de ilhotas pancreáticas e um em MSCs derivadas de rim murino. A análise da expressão gênica de insulina em células diferenciadas em todos os protocolos testados mostrou níveis insignificantes ou nulos de expressão desse hormônio. A segunda aplicação explorou o co-transplante de ilhotas pancreáticas com MSCs derivadas de rim em camundongos diabéticos. Os resultados mostraram aumento da taxa de cura e melhora na glicemia pós-transplante, bem como uma tendência ao aumento do conteúdo total de insulina em animais co-transplantados em comparação com animais que receberam apenas ilhotas. Não houve diferenças no peso e teste de tolerância à glicose entre os grupos. Foi observado aumento na vascularização do enxerto nos animais que receberam MSCs. Paralelamente, foi estudada a associação de variantes alélicas dos genes PTPN22, KIR, HLA classe I e II e a susceptibilidade ao desenvolvimento de DM1 em uma população do Rio Grande do Sul. Foi observada associação entre o alelo 1858T e o risco aumentado de DM1. A genotipagem do KIR e HLA-C mostrou uma frequência maior de alelos do grupo 2 do HLA-C em controles não diabéticos, bem como o genótipo 2DL1/C2+, sugerindo um papel protetor desse genótipo. Além disso, indivíduos com haplótipo KIR2DL2/DR3+ e KIR2DL2/DR3/DR4+ tem risco aumentado de desenvolvimento de DM1. MSCs parecem possuir baixa capacidade de diferenciação em células β in vitro, entretanto, possuem efeitos benéficos importantes quando cotransplantadas com ilhotas pancreáticas. Essa aplicação tem grande potencial e deveria ser testada em estudos clínicos com o objetivo de melhorar a enxertia e diminuir o número de ilhotas necessárias para cada paciente.
Type 1 Diabetes (DM1), in almost all the cases, is caused by the destruction of beta-cells by cells of the immune system, leading to hyperglycemia. The only source for new beta-cells available is through the pancreas and islet transplantation, two treatments able to restore insulin secretion pattern in this patients. Islet transplantation presents issues related to grafting, caused mainly by poor vascularisation post-transplant, leading to betacell death in the first days after transplantation. Mesenchymal stem cells have interesting characteristics to the treatment of DM1. The first application explored in this work was testing the capacity of differentiation of human and mouse MSCs into insulin-producing cells (CPIs). Identity of isolated cells was confirmed by immunophenotyping and potential of adipogenic and osteogenic differentiation in vitro. Four protocols were tested in human islet-derived MSCs and one in mouse kidney-derived MSCs to generate CPIs. Analysis of insulin expression in differentiated cells from all protocols showed no or very little expression levels of this hormone. The second application was to evaluate the role of MSCs in the co-transplantation with pancreatic islets in diabetes mice. Our results showed an increased number of cured mice and a decrease in glycemic levels post transplant in islet+MSCs group, as well as a tendency to an increase in total insulin content in islet+MSCs compared with islet-only group. No differences could be found in weight and intraperitoneal glucose tolerance test between groups. An increase in graft vascularisation was observed in MSCs-receiving animals. At the same time, we studied the association of allelic variants in PTPN22, KIR, HLA class I and II genes and its association with the developing of DM1. We reported and association of the 1858T allele and an increased risk of DM1. Genotyping shows an increased frequency of group 2 alleles (C2) of HLA-C in controls as well as the 2DL1/C2+ genotype, suggesting a protective role of this genotype. Moreover, individuals with KIR2DL2/DR3+ and KIR2DL2/DR3/DR4+ haplotypes have increased risk of developing DM1. MSCs seem to have low capacity of in vitro differentiation in a beta-cell phenotype, however, they exert important benefic effects when co-transplanted with pancreatic islets in diabetic mice. This application has great potential and should be tested in clinical trials aiming the improvement of islet grafting and decrease in the number of islets needed for transplantation.

Abstract:
Introduction: There is a tension between secular and religious values.Psychotherapy has a secular foundation, while at the same time priests and pastorshave the opportunity to become psychotherapists. The aim of this paper is toexamine how psychotherapists with Christian religious beliefs view thesignificance of their faith in their psychotherapeutic profession. Question: How do psychotherapists with Christian religious beliefs feel that their faith impacts their clinical practice. Method: Five semi-structured interviews was held with licensed psychotherapistsordained in Christian ministry. The interviews were coded using a thematic,inductive analysis. Results: Four themes were found: (1) Pastors and priest as psychotherapists; (2) Religious or psychotherapeutic approach; (3) Relationship between psychologyand spirituality; (4) Trust in god as support in the therapy process. Discussion: The results from the thematic analysis are discussed using Attachment theory and the non-repressed unconscious, leading to aninterpretation in terms of trust, difficulties in the transference and god related todescriptions of reality.
Inledning: Ett spänningsfält finns mellan sekulära och religiösa värden. Psykoterapi bygger på sekulär grund samtidigt som präster och pastorer harmöjlighet att bli psykoterapeuter. Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka hurkristet troende psykoterapeuter ser på trons betydelse i sitt kliniska arbete. Frågeställning: Hur upplever kristet troende psykoterapeuter att deras tropåverkar deras kliniska arbete? Metod: Arbetet vilar på fem semistrukturerade intervjuer med legitimerade psykoterapeuter som i sin grundutbildning är präster eller pastorer. Intervjuerna undersöks med tematisk induktiv analys. Resultat: Fyra teman utkristalliserades: (1) Prästen och pastorn sompsykoterapeut; (2) Religiöst eller psykoterapeutiskt förhållningssätt; (3) Förhållandet mellan psykologi och andlighet och (4) Tilliten till gud som stöd iterapiprocessen. Diskussion: Resultatet lyfts till en teoretisk nivå genom att relateras till anknytningsteoretisk forskning samt till det icke bortträngda omedvetna. Genom detta diskuteras resultatet utifrån tillit, svårigheter med överföring i psykoterapimed vigd psykoterapeut och gud relaterat till beskrivningar av den yttersta verkligheten.

A dissertação em questão critica o regime de responsabilização civil reservado às células-tronco pela lei de biossegurança (lei 11.105/2005) qual seja a responsabilidade incondicionalmente objetiva e solidária. A disciplina jurídica em derredor das pesquisas e manejo dos achados destas pesquisas com células-tronco surge no contexto da sociedade atual alcunhada de sociedade dos grandes riscos ou dos perigos globais e imensos cuja ameaça de desastre atômico químico e ambiental influencia o comportamento dos seres humanos. De fato o mundo viveu recentemente duas impressionantes revoluções a revolução genética e a revolução informática que mudaram e têm potencial para mudanças maiores do modus vivendi das populações mas que de seu turno incrementaram consideravelmente as exigências gerais de consumo e desafiam a convivência ordeira no planeta e a preservação dos seus recursos naturais. O temor ensejado pelos riscos vividos tem promovido uma reação desmedida às novas conquistas do conhecimento particularmente na genética importando na criação de um regime de responsabilidades que não se deve aplicar a todas as situações. Deste modo procura-se demonstrar que enquanto os organismos geneticamente modificados por ostentar uma potencialidade de dano maior e geral devam ostentar um programa de responsabilidade mais rigoroso o mesmo não ocorre com as células-tronco que a par de já terem demonstrado a sua utilidade em tratamentos de saúde reúnem risco de dano circunscrito às pessoas que se submetem ao tratamento ou seja tem projeção de risco delimitada. Demais disso reivindica-se que a modalidade de responsabilidade a ser aplicada deva variar de acordo com o caso em concreto de modo a estar submetida a uma flexibilidade que a insegurança das relações atuais recomenda muito embora os novos diplomas legislativos tenham primado pela rigidez na aplicação do sistema de responsabilização. Assim sugere-se que ao invés de adotar o risco ensejado pela atividade como critério único de responsabilização que conduz à sua objetivação cumpriria indagar a quem beneficia a assunção deste risco. Se o benefício predominante for da vítima do dano a responsabilidade não prescindiria em regra da análise da culpa diversamente se o risco fosse corrido em favor do ofensor a indenização não dependeria da presença da culpa. A espinha dorsal da nova proposta que o trabalho encampa é o da flexibilização da aplicação da modalidade de responsabilização a depender das circunstâncias reveladas pelo caso em concreto.

Abstract:
Introdução: A leucemia é um tipo de câncer que ocorre na formação de células sanguíneas, podendo ser dividida em quatro grandes grupos: agudas e crônicas, as quais se subdividem em mieloide e linfoide. Estudos relatam o poder das células tronco no tratamento da leucemia crônica mielomonocítica, as quais podem ser transplantadas por esses pacientes como potencial de cura. Objetivo: Debater acerca do uso das células-tronco para o tratamento da leucemia. Material e métodos: Trata-se de uma revisão bibliográfica, tendo como base de dados o Scielo e o Pubmed, tendo como descritores: leucemia; células-tronco; transplante. Foram selecionados 8 artigos publicados em português nos últimos 5 anos. Resultados: Apesar do transplante ser uma alternativa para o tratamento da leucemia, atualmente o transplante de célula-tronco não é o tratamento padrão, este pode ser indicado quando o paciente não responde de maneira adequada aos medicamentos específicos. Existem dois tipos de transplantes de células-tronco: alogênico e autólogo; O transplante autólogo ocorre quando as células-tronco hematopoiéticas do próprio indivíduo são removidas e armazenadas para posterior uso. No transplante alogênico, as células-tronco hematopoiéticas são doadas, idealmente de um irmão ou irmã com uma composição genética semelhante. Este é o único considerado eficaz para os pacientes com leucemia mieloide crônica, no entanto, podem causar graves complicações. Em detrimento das dificuldades encontradas acerca do transplante de células-tronco hematopoiéticas, o tratamento padrão ocorre com os inibidores da tirosina quinase, os quais possuem efeitos colaterais mais brandos, podendo ser úteis na fase crônica da doença e em pacientes com estágios avançados. Conclusão: Apesar de não ser considerado o tratamento padrão e de causar efeitos colaterais graves, o transplante de células-tronco tem grande importância para os indivíduos portadores de leucemia e doenças raras como a anemia aplástica grave.

Abstract:
Abstract Based on NFPA-780, offshore platforms, which made from metal framework of a structure are thought of as "grounded" to the ocean and therefore are not needed to be installed external Lightning Protection System (LPS). PHE ONWJ which located at offshore tropic area has implemented NFPA 80 but still experience lightning hit. It generated fire at vent stack andcause operations interference. So that, the objective of this study is to redesign LPS for tropic area. Firstly, the methodology for this study was conducting literature review from previous researches for lightning protection system at tropic area and researches which underlyingNFPA-780. The literature reviews were focusing on lightning characteristic for tropic area andthe lightning density data from local lighting strike monitors surrounding PHE ONWJ. The result of literature reviews would be the basis of lightning strike event reviews in PHE ONWJ facilities. Subsequently, the authors conducted the equipment layout review using rolling sphere method based on previous lightning strike location. Lastly, Authors proposed the recommendationsfor typical LPS for oil and gas at tropic area. Based on literature reviews,lightning characteristic at tropic area has peak strike current twice the sub-tropic and longer "tail" so that the charge current is larger. Larger the charge current of lightning cause greaterimpact into metal structure that is metal melting. Based on NFPA 780/2011, the offshore platform, which is made by metal, and vessel with minimum thickness 4.8 mm are self-protected. However, based on calculation, with the characteristic of lightning at tropic area, the recommendedminimum vessel thickness is 10 mm. This calculation reinforces the fact that standard of Lightning Protection System in NFPA 780/2011 is not sufficient to be applied in tropic area like Indonesia. After calculating the tropic lightning strike range using rolling sphere method, it isrecommended to redesign lightning protection system for some locations at offshore platform and near shore facilities of PHE ONWJ.The lightning protections system locations and quantities are depending on the area and the needed protected equipment in it.The installation isincluding extended mast terminal, free standing mast, low inductive Double Shielded Down Conductor(DSDC), Lightning Event Counter (LEC), and good grounding system at the platform.

A Robótica Assistiva vem se mostrando uma importante ferramenta no processo de reabilitação de pacientes. A reabilitação dos pacientes a partir de abordagens terapêuticas tradicionais não tem alcançado os resultados esperados, fazendo com que as abordagens terapêuticas que utilizam a robótica passassem a ganhar cada vez mais força. Com isso, uma série de novas intervenções passaram a ser utilizadas com o intuito de auxiliar na reabilitação dos pacientes com determinadas restrições, principalmente aqueles que sofreram traumas pós AVC. Os pacientes com AVC costumam usar o tronco para compensar a função motora do membro superior prejudicada durante o treinamento de reabilitação do membro superior, o que resulta em um efeito reduzido do treinamento de reabilitação. Detectar compensações de tronco pode melhorar o efeito do treinamento de reabilitação. Sendo assim, este estudo tem o intuito de analisar o comportamento da movimentação do tronco de quatro voluntários, que não possuem nenhum tipo de restrição, na execução de quatro movimentos pré-estabelecidos. O objetivo é verificar se, mesmo não possuindo nenhum tipo de restrição, os voluntários fazendo uso da movimentação do tronco para executar os movimentos. O sensor Kinect v2 foi utilizado para realizar a captura das informações.

Mặc dù kinh tế tăng trưởng nhanh chóng, lao động di cư ở Việt Nam, chiếm 7,3% số lao động nước ta, đang làm việc trong điều kiện bấp bênh và an ninh lương thực không đảm bảo, nay càng gặp khó khăn do các biện pháp kiểm soát phòng, chống dịch Covid. Do vậy, cần có biện pháp cấp bách nhằm cải thiện chế độ dinh dưỡng của người lao động di cư trong thời kỳ khủng hoảng và tăng khả năng chống chịu của họ đối với các cú sốc kinh tế trong tương lai, bằng cách: 1) các đối sách ngắn hạn nên quan tâm đến vấn đề dinh dưỡng; 2) cải thiện môi trường thực phẩm thông qua việc thực thi hiệu quả các chính sách hiện hành; 3) mở rộng phạm vi bao phủ của mạng lưới an sinh xã hội do Chính phủ cung cấp; và 4) cải cách pháp luật lao động để giảm tính dễ bị tổn thương của người lao động và tăng vị thế của họ trong quan hệ lao động.
