Abstract:
Abstract The transport activity is one of the most expensive processes in the supply chain. Forwarding and transport companies focuses on the optimization of transportation and the reduction of transport costs. The goal of this study is to develop a method which calculate the first (prime) cost of a given transport task more precisely than the state of the art practices. In practice the calculation of transport fee depends on the individual estimation methods of the transport managers, which could result losses for the company. In this study the elaborated calculation method for total first cost is detailed for three types of fulfilment of transport tasks. The most common type of achievement is, when “own vehicle is used with own driver”. A software was also developed for this case based on the elaborated method. Based on the calculations of our software, the first cost can be defined quickly and precisely to realize higher profit.

Abstract:
The transport activity is one of the most expensive processes in the supply chain and the fuel cost is the highest cost among the cost components of transportation. The goal of the research is to optimize the transport costs in case of a given transport task both by the selecting the optimal petrol station and by determining the optimal amount of the refilled fuel. Recently, in practice, these two decisions have not been made centrally at the forwarding company, but they depend on the individual decision of the driver. The aim of this study is to elaborate a precise and reliable mathematical method for selecting the optimal refuelling stations and determining the optimal amount of the refilled fuel to fulfil the transport demands. Based on the elaborated model, new decision-supporting software is developed for the economical fulfilment of transport trips.

The article deals with the peculiarities of the activity enterprises of transport-forwarding, which are in the legal field as the principal of the principal. Examples are given when the forwarding-agent delegates his responsibilities to the subagent, then the specifics of distributing responsibility between the agents. The rationale will be for the need to consolidate forwarding agents into multinational organizations that operate in different countries and assume responsibility for a separate company in its composition. Questions are raised about the economic-legal relations between the forwarding agent and the principal, as the consumer of his services. And also it is considered on real examples of the occurrence of force majeure circumstances and their consequences. It is substantiated that the duty to comply with the client's instructions stems from the very nature of the relationship between the manager (client) and the agent, but there is a principle that the agent cannot be accused of having acted improperly if his interpretation of the ambiguous instruction was reasonable provided Such actions. Examples of extraordinary approaches to realization of relations between a client and an agent-forwarding agent in the system of the general law and examples of court opinions on the resolution of controversial issues are given.

Abstract:
Due to globalization and increased market competition, forwarding companies must focus on the optimization of their international transport activities and on cost reduction. The minimization of the amount and cost of fuel results in increased competition and profitability of the companies as well as the reduction of environmental damage. Nowadays, these aspects are particularly important. This research aims to develop a new optimization method for road freight transport costs in order to reduce the fuel costs and determine optimal fueling stations and to calculate the optimal quantity of fuel to refill. The mathematical method developed in this research has two phases. In the first phase the optimal, most cost-effective fuel station is determined based on the potential fuel stations. The specific fuel prices differ per fuel station, and the stations are located at different distances from the main transport way. The method developed in this study supports drivers’ decision-making regarding whether to refuel at a farther but cheaper fuel station or at a nearer but more expensive fuel station based on the more economical choice. Thereafter, it is necessary to determine the optimal fuel volume, i.e., the exact volume required including a safe amount to cover stochastic incidents (e.g., road closures). This aspect of the optimization method supports drivers’ optimal decision-making regarding optimal fuel stations and how much fuel to obtain in order to reduce the fuel cost. Therefore, the application of this new method instead of the recently applied ad-hoc individual decision-making of the drivers results in significant fuel cost savings. A case study confirmed the efficiency of the proposed method.

Abstract:
The article is devoted to the legal analysis of the peculiarities of concluding agreements in the sphere of economic and trade activity. The article emphasizes that among the civil law contracts, which are the basis for the obligation, a special place is occupied by the trade and economic contract. It is noted that the trade and economic agreement does not mean a separate type, but a set of agreements with a number of such inherent qualities that necessitate to establish within the general rules of contract law rules common to business agreements only - deliveries, contracts for capital construction, transportation of goods, operation of non-public railway access roads, etc. The commonality of these agreements is expressed in a number of features, which are also covered in this article. It is emphasized that trade and economic agreements pursue certain economic goals and serve economic activities. It is noted that the specifics of trade and economic agreements is that they are or are planned. It is recorded that the forms of economic and trade activities include: logistics and sales (supply and purchase and sale); energy supply; procurement (contract of contracting of agricultural products); Wholesale; retail trade and public catering; sale and lease of means of production; commercial mediation in the implementation of trade activities and other ancillary activities to ensure the sale of goods (services) in the field of circulation (agency agreements, commissions, instructions, transport and forwarding activities, etc.). Emphasis is placed on the fact that this commonality of all economic agreements and necessitates the establishment of a number of general rules for them, and therefore it is necessary to study the theoretical basis of the trade and economic agreement.

Abstract:
The purpose of the article is to study the information aspects of the activities of a motor transport enterprise, to build a communication network within the enterprise, which seeks to fully satisfy the needs of society for the transportation of goods and passengers. Methodology. The study was carried out using graph theory - one of the major branches of discrete mathematics, which is widely used in solving economic and management problems. Using these methods, the minimum path in the information network is found. Results. The quality and timeliness of information coming in the forward and backward directions determines the quality of management of individual objects of the road transport system, as well as the possibility of its coordinated functioning in order to fully satisfy the needs of society for the transportation of goods and passengers. The article examines the introduction of information technologies in transport, which are used at all stages of receiving, storing, processing and transmitting information, should fully ensure the timeliness and high quality of information support when making managerial decisions at all levels of the transport system. The general principles of the construction and functioning of motor transport systems are analyzed through the prism of the information procedures implemented in them and the emerging information flows. It has been established that most of the total volume of information processed in a company can be information necessary for the management and control of logistics operations. Since the road transport system is geographically distributed, a modern specialist must master the methods of spatial analysis based on geoinformation technologies. The development of the information and communication infrastructure of a new transport company, which plans to carry out the transportation of goods by road, has been investigated. The company will provide services such as cargo transportation, freight forwarding services, cargo tracking, cargo insurance, settlement of cargo deliveries, cargo unloading and loading. For the optimal placement of the company's network, graph theory is used. An optimal communication network has been built, connecting various departments of the company, namely, the transportation department, the office, the accounting department, the economic planning department, the legal department, the mechanical department, the communications department, and the personnel department. The scientific novelty of the article is the use of the method for constructing an optimal communication network at a trucking company. The practical significance of the work is that this method can be used at any transport company that begins its activity to build communication links between any departments of the company. In this case, these connections will be optimal.

Abstract:
Topicality. The lack of a unified approach to the implementation of state policy in Ukraine, which regulates the activities of multimodal and intermodal transport, as well as the relevant legislative framework, emphasizes the relevance of this article.Aim and tasks. The purpose and objectives of the state transport policy should take into account the general objective of European transport policy, which is to create conditions for the development of a high-quality transport system based on the integrated use of technical, economic and technological characteristics of certain types of transport, competition principles, taking into account economic and social impacts, as well the impact on the environment and health. Proceeding from the fact that transport policy should consist in creation of conditions for development of high-quality transport system, economic and technological characteristics of certain types of transport, principles of competition, taking into account economic and social influence, this is the main goal of the article.Research results. The article determines which priorities should be based on the state transport policy and directions of its direction. Author's interpretation of the concepts of intermodal and multimodal transport, as well as their key differences, is provided. It has been established that in the majority of cases, the cargo owner interacts with carriers through his forwarding agent (agent) both in multimodal and intermodal traffic, and the impression is made that there is no difference between these types of traffic. Meanwhile, the relationship of the cargo owner and freight forwarder significantly differ with the relationship of the cargo owner and carrier. Public relations on transport activity in Ukraine are established by special regulations, but this is too small for effective implementation and development of multimodal and intermodal transportation in Ukraine. At the same time, general approaches to improving the legislative framework for the establishment and development of Ukraine as a sea and transit state, as well as to meet the needs of the national economy and the population in transportation, are not defined.Conclusions. Thus, it is necessary to divide the transport policy of the state into a common transport policy, which deals with general approaches to the development of the national transport system and relates to the public relations of the state and transport enterprises and organizations and the private transport policy, which relates to the relations of business entities in the process of direct transportation. The latter is the means of regulating the development and operation of multimodal and intermodal transport, and not only in Ukraine.

Abstract:
The article analyzes the actual problems of prospects of logistical support of transportation of products. Automobile, railway, aviation and water modes of transport, which function and develop according to different rules and criteria, based on their departmental interests and priorities, were investigated. Conquesting and retaining competitive advantages is relevant for any mode of transport in our country at this stage of economic development. The main directions for strengthening the state transport policy which is necessary to supplement and adjust the actions of market mechanisms in order to ensure the effective, publicinterest formation of the state transport system and the transport services market, were formed in this article. A possible solution to the problem is the unification of hundreds of medium-sized and small motor transport companies and freight forwarding companies in one place - a multimodal transport and logistics center with the provision of logistics services. This will attract new investment in the country's transport infrastructure and increase the level of logistics services. The object of study - the process of logistical support for transportation of products. The purpose of the study is to analyze the problems of interaction and competition between different modes of transport in the modern conditions and to identify possible directions for their solution in the transport of goods and passengers in order to ensure stable economic development, satisfaction of the needs of the population and social production. Methods of research - methods of economic, system and comparative analysis. On the basis of the analysis of the interaction of different types of transport, it was discovered that during this time the cardinal transformational processes from the socialist plans to market relations and infrastructure development took place in the state economy. The specificity of activity of different modes of transport is that they not only interact, but also compete with each other in the provision of transport services. There is a big competition at the interstate level for the transit of goods. It is proved that for further growth of grain export, it is necessary not only to improve the logistics of transportation, but also to develop the infrastructure of the country. It would be appropriate to consider at the state level the possibility of prioritizing the transportation of agricultural products by different modes of transport during the peak period and to develop programs to encourage the construction of modern grain storage facilities in port areas and at the borders of Ukraine with neighboring countries. Expected assumptions about the development of the object of study - a logistic approach for sustainable economic development is proposed, conquesting and retaining competitive advantages which will allow to promptly take into account changes of the environment, to respond to the behavior of competitors and consumers, that is, provide for and form demand and supply in the prospective plan. That is why it is necessary to carry out complex measures aimed at transforming any company into a successful commercial enterprise, which will provide high-quality transport services. In general, the strategic goal is to solve three main tasks: to reduce the company's expenses, increase its income and ensure the maximum safety of movement and safekeeping of cargoes during transportation both on the territory of our state and abroad. Abstract:
Aim/purpose – The aim of the paper is to identify the features of ‘green’ small and medium-sized enterprises operating in Poland. Design/methodology/approach – The paper is based on a quantitative approach and a group of 200 small and medium-sized enterprises operating in Poland were examined. The classification tree method was used to analyze the data gathered. Findings – The ‘green’ small and medium-sized enterprises operating in Poland were characterized and their important features were identified, e.g., belonging to the TFL (Transport Forwarding Logistics) sector and a direct relationship with the supply chain leader. In the case of enterprises from the TFL sector, their area of activity is a natural environment for the development of ‘green logistics’ practices. In turn, the supply chain leader usually pushes for specific solutions aimed at achieving the assumed goals, in - cluding environmental goals. Research implications/limitations – The research results enable the identification pro- cess of small and medium-sized enterprises interested in implementing the ‘green logis- tics’ concept and, consequently, their support. Nevertheless, small and medium-sized enterprises operating in Poland were the only examined, thus the research findings can- not be generalized for other countries. However, the paper could be a starting point for comparative analyses on an international scale. Originality/value/contribution – The development of ‘green logistics’ among small and medium-sized enterprises in Poland is still not recognized by researchers. The paper is a valuable addition to this research gap. Keywords: green logistics, SME, classification tree. JEL Classification: L21, M20, Q50.

Abstract:
Air transport is one of the most developing field of the global transport market. Every year there is an increase in the number of transported people and loads. The share of passenger and cargo transport by air in relation to other competitive transport branches is still growing. The biggest advantage of this branch is the possibility of transporting passengers as well as long-distance loads in a relatively short time. One of the service segments of the air transport market is cargo sub-market. Its development is primarily due to the needs of the economy and environmental conditions. The effects of spatial differentiation causing that goods are produced in places where they are not always consumed, contributes to the increase in demand for transport services, including air transport. As a result of the devel-opment of globalization processes on transport markets, changes in the structure of transported goods are observed. In the 21st century, the e-commerce segment plays a significant role. It should be presumed that there will still be changes in the structure of the cargo transport. The main goal of the article will be to analyze the market for air freight transport. Reaching the goal will be carried out secondary research based on available literature on the subject. As a result of the data analysis, it was found that the largest forwarding companies are: DHL Global Forwarding, CEVA Logistic and DB Schenker. The remaining 55% are other forwarding companies.

Abstract:
The purpose of this study is forwarding services, since at present transport largely determines the opportunities for development of national economies. The basic requirements on the market are the terms of delivery of goods: at the right time, in the right place, with certain consumer characteristics, in the required quantities. All this highlights the issue of freight forwarding service and choice of optimal method of delivery. In recent years, the latest practices and technologies for the delivery of goods, based on the method of integration of transport and logistics, on the development of the latest technologies in the field of informatics and communications, have been introduced into the economic practice of transport and forwarding enterprises and firms. As in other industries, the market for forwarding services has become a market for buyers. Therefore, it is extremely important for transport and forwarding enterprises to study and analyze the needs of society in all types of transport services in order to meet them. Thus, the successful operation of such enterprises is impossible without the active application of marketing research in their business processes. The modern freight transport market is characterized by a greater variety of forms of service. However, the reforms carried out in the country have not been lifted, but, rather, deepened the contradictions of a socio-economic nature. As a consequence, the problems of regulating transport activities are growing and becoming more complicated, as determined by such factors as insufficient attention of the state and local authorities to the problems of transport; lack of holistic coordination mechanism for management, combining elements of overall system management and operational regulation of transport. In a rapidly changing world, it is necessary to quickly respond to the constantly emerging new demands and requirements. This is especially true in the sphere of services. Therefore, transport and forwarding enterprises in order to remain successful and competitive need to effectively organize their activities and offer quality services.

Abstract:
With the modern development of the economy and foreign economic relations, a new approach to cargo flows, their distribution and, directly, to the development of transport is required. At the current stage of foreign trade growth, the classic approach of the logistics system in the medium and long term requires a deep and qualitative revision, this is necessary for long-term development, although this approach will still work for the current period and in the near future. Of course, we need to use new technologies to reach goals of optimization all freight forwarding system and international transport corridors. The new projects same as optimization need investments because corridor routes have a different direction vector depending on the profitability of national economies and companies, but their formation is based on a support network of transport and logistics centers in key nodes (points) of consolidation and distribution of cargo flows, and favorable conditions are created for investment projects. Due to the geographical location of Kazakhstan, the main transport routes connecting the States of the Asian and European continents pass through its territory and cargo transportation in interstate communication of the countries of the near and far abroad. They are carried out by rail and road transport in almost all main directions of the land road network. According to the UN classification, Kazakhstan, along with Russia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkey, is currently included in the transcontinental countries of interstate land communication. Therefore, it is very important for Kazakhstan to use its transit position to boost the economy and be a full-fledged participant in the global transport system.

In this research, the time consumption of a CF Moto Gladiator 800 all-terrain vehicle (ATV) with a Vahva Jussi 1500/320 log trailer was researched by the timber forwarding in the forests of the Eagle Mountains in the Czech Republic. The study was conducted in an area with a minimal slope, the terrain was full of obstacles, the average forwarding distance was 480 m, while the random harvesting of trees affected by bark beetle was carried out in the forest. A total of 81 forwarding cycles were measured. The elemental time study method and stepwise regression analysis were applied to develop the forwarding time prediction model. In the study, it was found that the total forwarding cycle time is mostly influenced by the forwarding distance and the number of logs loaded. The total average time per forwarding cycle was 22.53 min, of which an average of 40% was transport time and 60% was time for loading and unloading of logs. An average of 1.43 m3 of timber was forwarded per forwarding cycle. Therefore, the estimated productivity of the ATV forwarder was 3.89 m3·h–1.

Abstract:
Purpose. To develop the methodology for choosing the strategies of freight forwarding companies in the situation of interaction with freight owners as customers of forwarding services. Methodology. The game-theoretical approach is used to formalize the conflict situation between a freight forwarding company and a cargo owner. A set of services proposed by forwarders is used as the base in order to represent possible strategies of a forwarder as the vector of probabilities that the respective services are provided for a client. The strategies of the cargo owner are represented as a binary variable that shows whether the client uses the provided services or not. The payoff function for a forwarder is defined as the companys profit and the clients payoff function as fee paid for forwarding services. To determine the influence of the demand parameters on the forwarders optimal strategies, the demand for transport services is represented as a flow of requests characterized by two numeric parameters delivery distance and consignment weight. Findings. The conducted experimental studies have shown that as a result of the use of the proposed methodology, the optimal strategy of a forwarding company can always be determined from the payoff matrix. The performed simulation experiment allowed us to state that in most cases the forwarders optimal strategy is mixed (the technological and commercial services should be provided with the given probability while servicing the flow of requests from freight owners). Originality. The studies on the influence of the request flow parameters on the probabilities of choosing the elementary strategies are carried in the paper for the first time. Practical value. The proposed methodology can be used as the basic tool for supporting decisions of freight forwarders while servicing the cargo owners at the market of road freight transportation.

Abstract:
The structure and dynamics of the transport and logistics complex transportation have been deseribed in the article. The analysis of the current state of the transport-forwarding service market allows to distinguish significant market changes in terms of improving technologies and modernizing logistics schemes. Today, transport, communications, Internet technologies, systems of customer relationship management and expeditionary infrastructure are part of human life and are type of international interaction at the global, regional and intercountry levels. The structure of the market of freight forwarding services is a complex mechanism of relations between factors and structures, that can ensure the density of the market under the influence of factors of the macroeconomic environment. In the structure of the studied forwarding, services there is a number of small systems, that fully interact with each other: industrial, market, organizational, assortment, production and technological, territorial, institutional, social and other structures.Modern Russia has a powerful, diversified, transport complex; all types of transport are represented on its territory. However, Russia is not the leader in the world market of transport and logistics services, in terms of the share of countries in world freight turnover. Russia is inferior to the positions of the United States, China and other European countries. The structure of the cargo transportation throughout the transport and forwarding complex of Russia is quite heterogeneous. The fact has been highlighted, that in the structure of transported goods a trend of growth in the volume of transportation of low-income goods against the background of a stable level of transportation volumes of high-yield cargo is observed. In terms of warehouses, Russia is also not in the lead; for expeditionary services. Russia is inferior to all European countries, but the modern development of digital technologies will help Russia reach the world level of service.

The transport of oversized cargo is becoming more and more popular, which is related to the construction of, inter alia, wind farms to generate electricity in mountain areas or on the coast of the Baltic Sea. Internet communication networks are expanding, thus requiring the construction of new relay towers. Non-divisible elements to be transported are getting longer and more difficult to be delivered and installed in the field. All this must be met by forwarding and transport of industrial long cargo. Such a situation requires specialized vehicles, monitoring and optimization of travel routes.

Abstract:

Abstract:
The principle of third party logistics has grown into a very important and a well‐functioning logistics concept, mainly due to outsourcing trends in transport business. Providers of 3PL services complemented the effectiveness of logistics supply chain management extending the performance of hauliers and forwarders to what might be called outsourced logistics services providers. The main driver for this was large transportation companies that have striven to render their limited services to the whole transport chain. Firstly, this extended to what now is called forwarding services, i.e. responsibility and transport service was extended from only physical transportation to additional services. Then some transport and forwarding companies continued enlarging their responsibility so that it included an increased part of the transport chain up to a total responsibility for the entire transportation, from production to consumption. A nature of transportation services became more and more the nature of logistics. Companies started offering complete logistics solutions, instead of only isolated physical transportation services. This allowed a customer to concentrate on the core business instead of paying much attention to material flows.

Abstract:
The development of multi-country consolidation services has become a major feasible direction for major ocean freight forwarding firms in Taiwan. However, ocean freight forwarding firms must ponder which factors are most important when considering with the development of multi-country consolidation services. Therefore, the main purpose of this article was to apply the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process method to evaluate the key factors influencing the development of multi-country consolidation services for ocean freight forwarding firms in Taiwan. Based on the literature and experts’ opinions, a hierarchical structure with 4 assessment aspects and 16 assessment factors was first constructed, and the steps of fuzzy analytic hierarchy process method then proposed. Finally, based on the analytic hierarchy process experts’ questionnaires, we used the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process method to evaluate the key factors. The results showed that (1) “cost” is the most important aspect influencing the development of multi-country consolidation services for ocean freight forwarding firms in Taiwan; (2) in order of relative importance, the top eight key factors influencing the development of multi-country consolidation services for ocean freight forwarding firms in Taiwan are “cargo accuracy and tracking management,”“consolidation cost,”“deregulation of operations,”“transport cost,”“integrated logistics information management,”“high frequency of ship sailings,”“logistics-related operating costs,” and “convenience of customs clearance,” respectively. Furthermore, some discussions and recommendations concerning practical implications are provided for ocean freight forwarding firms operating in the multi-country consolidation market.

Purpose: The purpose of the study is to investigate the influence of logistics optimization on performance of freight forwarding companies in Kenya. Methodology: Descriptive research design was adopted. The study preferred this method because it allows an in-depth study of the subject. Data was collected from deputy heads and heads of procurement in 45 freight forwarding companies in Kenya, who are registered members of KIFWA according to its 2019 directory. Questionnaires were used to collect data. The questionnaires were tested for validity and reliability using 10% of the total sample respondents. Data was analyzed through descriptive statistical methods such as means, standard deviation, frequencies and percentage. Inferential analyses were used in relation to correlation analysis and regression analysis to test the relationship between the four explanatory variables and the explained variable. Multiple regression models were used to show the relationship between the predicted variable and the predictor variables. Results and conclusion: The independent variables reported R value of 0.846 indicating that there is perfect relationship between dependent variable and independent variables. R square value of 0.716 which means that 71.6% of the corresponding variation in performance of the freight forwarding companies can be explained or predicted by (logistics information system, freight management, distributor base rationalization and transport planning) which indicated that the model fitted the study data. The findings of the study indicated that logistics information system, freight management, distributor base rationalization and transport planning have a positive relationship with performance of freight forwarding companies in Kenya. Unique contribution to theory, policy and practice: the study recommended that freight forwarding companies should embrace logistics optimization so as to improve performance and further researches should to be carried out in other institutions to find out if the same results can be obtained.

Sensor nodes may be deployed in hostile environments, and the sensed data is sent to the destination along the routing path, if a forwarding node in the routing path is compromised by the adversary, the data can not arrive at the destination. There are many studies on detection of malicious or compromised node, and remove the compromised nodes form the routing path, but, efficient, reliable, and secure broadcast are the major problems of the schemes. In this paper, we propose a novel secure data transport scheme for wireless sensor networks. The proposed scheme divide the secure data into n shares pair using Asmuth-Bloom threshold secret sharing scheme, and forwarded the n shares pair along the multi-path to the base station, the base station only receives k distinct shares pair from the n shares pair, he can obtain the secure data. The proposed protocol can resist selective forwarding attack, false data injection attack, replay attack, and even if there are compromised nodes in some routing paths, the base station can still get the correct secure data without removing the compromised nodes from the routing paths.

Abstract:
Named Data Networking (NDN) is a recently designed Internet architecture that benefits data names instead of locations and creates essential changes in the abstraction of network services from "delivering packets to specific destinations” to "retrieving data with special names" makes. This fundamental change creates new opportunities and intellectual challenges in all areas, especially network routing and communication, communication security, and privacy. The focus of this dissertation is on the forwarding aircraft feature introduced by NDN. Communication in NDN is done by exchanging interest and data packets. Consumers send interest packets to request data, routers send them based on the data prefix name, and manufacturers respond with data packets exactly how interest is received. During this process, routers maintain information about the status of suspended interests. As regards NDN is still in its early stage, none of these strong efficiency features have done systematically designed, measured, or tracked in data retrieval and multi-path detection. This paper tries to improve transport performance by combining label switching with adaptive transport methods. For this purpose, in addition to RTT, another timer called T is used, an RTT factor for interface rating. And uses the BDP to choose the best interface to respond to interest. During this process, response time, throughput, and data recovery time are improved by 12%, 10%, and 5%, respectively.

Abstract:
Every technologist aims to maximize the performance and capacity of vehicles, particularly when deployed in technological lines. To maximize the utilization of harvester technology, particularly of forwarders following the work of harvesters, it is useful to determine the maximum forwarding distance for consequent transport of timber, which was the aim of this study. The analysis presented in this study was conducted in medium and high-power vehicles which are dominantly deployed in the Czech Republic. The same performance of harvesters and forwarders is achieved by the calculation of the maximum forwarding distance. Other variables are constant for the time models (average load volume of forwarders is 12.1 m3 and the mean-tree volume is constant for every logged stem). Our conclusions suggested a maximum forwarding distance ranging from 116 to 1,052 m, depending on the decreasing mean-tree volume which ranged from 0.3 to 1.0 m3 per tree in the monitored logged stand.
