En Suisse romande, l’expérience débutée en 1974 avec le Collectif de recherche pédagogique et psychanalytique et poursuivie avec Le chiffre de la parole de 1988 à 2021 a structuré une pratique de parole tout en surfant sur les vagues de Mai 68, de l’antipsychiatrie, de la nouvelle gestion publique, de la médicalisation des institutions socio-éducatives. Cet itinéraire est l’occasion de s’interroger sur la transformation du travail social et la formation de ses professionnels, sur le rétrécissement de la marge de manœuvre des institutions et leurs rapports avec un État gagné par le rationalisme économique. Et pourtant, par-delà les modes et les idéologies, reste la clinique de la parole, toujours actuelle en tant que modalité d’intervention qui place le récit, l’analyse, la rencontre comme pivots de l’invention de dispositifs de vie, dont les effets de thérapie sont indéniables.

RésuméLe présent article soutient que Parole de foi, une confrérie chrétienne évangélique de la Lituanie postsoviétique, fonctionne comme une « société civile » religieuse. Ce mouvement permet à ses adeptes de se dissocier éthiquement de la « nation » lituanienne qu’ils estiment être en plein désarroi moral. Si la doctrine chrétienne propose une ligne de conduite morale, le mouvement Parole de foi offre à ses membres un cadre moral et civique qui prend appui sur un réseau commun basé sur la confiance, l’échange et le soutien mutuel – en bref sur la pratique dubendravimas. Cet article remet en question la définition classique de la société civile en affirmant que cette dernière n’est pas nécessairement séculière et qu’elle peut se fonder sur des principes autres que ceux de l’individualisme libéral. Il vise notamment à montrer que l’étude ethnologique de la société civile postsocialiste dans ses nombreuses manifestations peut nous aider à mieux comprendre et à analyser la transformation en cours en Europe de l’Est.

The cases enforcement of children in conflict with the law has shifted from retribution to restorative. This policy transformation was in line with the ratification of Act 11/2012 on the Juvenile Criminal Justice System, which replaced Act 3/1997 on Juvenile Court. This study aims to examine the role of community mentors in Indonesia, both before and after implementing the Juvenile Criminal Justice System Act. This study utilizes a qualitative approach through literature review with primary data originating from legislation, scientific journals, and books then studied systematically and described descriptively. The study results explain that probation and parole officers have a significant role in implementing restorative justice in Indonesia. This role has been proven to reduce the number of child criminals who must end up in prison. This study shows differences in the number of prison sentences for children before and after the enactment of the Juvenile Criminal Justice System Act. Probation and parole officers are at the forefront of implementing restorative justice in Indonesia through their duties and functions

Comment comprendre la lenteur de la mise en œuvre organisationnelle des lois sanitaires et médico-sociales promulguées dans la première décennie du xxi e siècle ? À partir des travaux de recherches, le plus souvent collaboratives, et des fonctions d’acteur du champ de l’auteur dans les trente dernières années, l’hypothèse est que si le nouveau cadre législatif a été porté par la réflexion de l’ensemble des acteurs, la « résistible » transformation de l’offre est plus le fait de l’irruption, dans le système d’action sanitaire et sociale, des situations dites complexes et d’une parole publique des personnes directement concernées. Cette « pression » politique et sociale agit sur les orientations politiques françaises en la matière, qui hésitent entre « réformer » et « transformer » le système d’action médico-sociale. Manquent encore à co-construire un système partagé de coopération des ressources et à diffuser une cartographie interactive de la transformation de l’offre.

Résumé Plusieurs adolescents et jeunes adultes « de la rue » portent ou inscrivent sur leur corps des signes distinctifs : surnoms, vêtements troués ou savamment découpés, habits restructurés ou inspirés d'un autre âge, coiffures et teintures flamboyantes, tatouages, « piercings », masques peints sur le visage. Par ailleurs, la société dans laquelle ils grandissent est marquée par la discontinuité historique et la valorisation des conduites de consommation, susceptibles d'entraîner un surinvestissement de ce qui appartient au corps. Nos observations cliniques ainsi qu'une incursion dans les écrits sur le tatouage et le masque nous ont amenée à dégager les notions de ritualisation, d'identification et de transformation comme outils de compréhension des diverses transformations ayant le corps comme objet chez les jeunes de la rue. L'expérience de Stéphane et de Lydia, qui ont pris le risque de la parole par le biais du processus thérapeutique, rend compte de la quête d'un territoire d'appartenance et d'un effort d'appropriation d'une histoire personnelle morcelée s'inscrivant dans le corps propre ou ses attributs.

La privatisation ou la délégation à des organisations privées d’un certain nombre de services ordinairement rendus par les collectivités publiques peut être l’occasion d’une interrogation sur le fonctionnement de l’action étatique. Elle peut également être l’occasion de réfléchir, dans un renversement de questionnement, aux conséquences de ces délégations ou de ces privatisations sur la structuration du champ de l’action associative. En effet, s’il y a transformation de l’action étatique, il y a également transformation du monde associatif du fait de ces délégations. À partir du cas de l’aide à la vieillesse en Suisse, nous voudrions faire l’hypothèse que des lignes de clivage émergent, au sein du champ associatif, du fait de l’existence même de ces délégations. Les subventions ou les contrats de prestations offrent en effet des ressources ou des rentes de situation à certains groupes et pas à d’autres. Ils contraignent pour une part leurs conditions de prise de parole et d’action, et sont dès lors l’objet de remises en cause et de tensions.

Au Canada, les instances gouvernementales et associatives produisent un discours sur les questions linguistiques qui est adapté aux nouveaux modes de production et de gouvernance, façonnés par les transformations économiques, politiques et sociales contemporaines. Au sein des communautés francophones minoritaires, l’accent est mis sur les langues comme capital et outil de développement économique. Tenir les habiletés langagières de ces communautés comme un atout fait partie intégrante de l’« espace discursif francophone » contemporain (Heller et Labrie, 2003). Dans cet article, je montre comment les transformations sociales et discursives se manifestent et alimentent les prises de parole et de position des individus. Plus précisément, j’explore le pendant individuel du discours sur la rentabilisation du capital linguistique comme outil de développement personnel. Je propose essentiellement d’illustrer, dans des prises de parole d’Acadiens, l’une des caractéristiques majeures de la modernité avancée, en l’occurrence l’application des principes et des valeurs du néolibéralisme à la vie sociale et personnelle des individus.

Résumé Ce texte propose un éclairage sur la problématique du changement de la situation des femmes dans l'Église. Comment réfléchir le changement dans cette très ancienne institution patriarcale? Le point de départ de cette réflexion a été le débat qui a entouré le travail d'un comité ad hoc de la Conférence des évêques catholiques du Canada chargé d'analyser la situation des femmes dans l'Église. Lorsque ce comité, présidé par la théologienne Elisabeth J. Lacelle, a présenté son rapport aux évêques en 1984, il y eut un tollé de protestations. Les recommandations et un document d'animation ont été sauvés de justesse, mais au prix de transformations substantielles. À la suite de cet événement, nous avons essayé de répondre à une série de trois questions. Quel est le rapport de l'Église catholique au changement, en quels termes se pose la problématique de la transformation institutionnelle? Comment les femmes dans l'Église posent-elles la question du changement, quels sont leurs objectifs, quels moyens mettent-elles en œuvre? Enfin, quels types de changements doivent être apportés à la parole des femmes catholiques pour que celle-ci soit accueillie favorablement par l'épiscopat catholique?

Résumé Gaston Lagaffe est apparu en 1957 dans la revue Spirou dans une vignette au milieu d’une page de texte. Dans ce genre de revue de l’époque, le texte côtoyait la bande dessinée éditée sous la forme d’un feuilleton qu’un jour par semaine les jeunes allaient chercher avec avidité afin de savoir ce qui était arrivé à leur personnage préféré. C’est dans ce contexte qu’est né le personnage Gaston. Sa consolidation en tant que personnage puis (anti-)héros se fait petit à petit au fil des numéros, au fil des images et du discours, avec l’intervention des lecteurs, de l’auteur, des personnages qui tendent à s’effacer ou à être effacé pour laisser malgré eux la place à Gaston. C’est à travers la prise de parole de ce personnage, dont le discours était, dans un premier temps, uniquement imagé, qu’il s’est transformé et s’est constitué comme anti-héros. C’est donc l’émergence progressive de Gaston dans l’énonciation que nous allons ici étudier. Nous tenterons de montrer comment un personnage comme Gaston s’approprie l’énonciation visuelle et renverse les valeurs texte / image au profit de l’image / texte au point que le discours repose d’abord sur l’image, reléguant le discours oral (écrit) à certains moments clés qui feront avancer la transformation du personnage. Cette appropriation visuelle, liée à son statut de personnage, ne peut d’ailleurs se faire que grâce à la prise de parole, brève, de Gaston et à l’effacement de son concurrent, Fantasio.

L’auteur reprend les notions de forme et de transformation telles que développées en psychanalyse. La pratique psychanalytique est attentive à la dynamique, aux forces, au conflit sous-jacents à la présentation des différentes formes. À partir du travail de deux écrivaines et d’un extrait clinique, il rappelle le lien entre forme et langage. C’est dans le style que se marque ce lien en littérature alors que dans la clinique il témoigne de la position subjective. Si la capacité d’osciller entre plusieurs positions subjectives est le signe d’une bonne santé mentale, l’auteur montre à l’inverse que sa rigidification empêche la croissance et engendre la souffrance. L’art d’écrire permet de voyager, non seulement dans son histoire, mais aussi entre différentes configurations psychiques. Alors que, dans certaines situations où prévaut l’immobilisation, la mise en parole semble s’épuiser dans une ritournelle. Zien, reizen, onderzoeken.

The United States is the only country in the world that sentences children to life in prison without the possibility of parole, but that horrifying practice is beginning to wane. Over the past five years, state and federal Supreme Courts have ruled that mandatory life sentences without parole for juveniles is unconstitutional, and California has enacted legislation that allows most of those sentenced to life as juveniles to petition for a new sentencing hearing. The hope generated by these efforts, giving a second chance to those who committed serious crimes at a young age, is transformational. This pendulum shift is the hard-won result of the organizing and advocacy efforts of passionate, resilient people who have lived with the ramifications of the gross failures of our justice system. In this essay, Stauring describes the work he’s done over the past quarter of a century to help bring these changes about.

The past decade has seen a very significant cultural shift in how group programs are delivered in prisons and in probation and parole settings in New South Wales, Australia. The agency responsible for custodial and community corrections services, Corrective Services New South Wales (CSNSW) is making its way from a culture of considerable autonomy, where staff largely wrote and ran group programs in the way that seemed best to them, to an organisation where systems exist for accreditation, training, supervision and systematic data collection. The transformation to model agency is not complete, but considerable progress has been made and this is borne out by the preparation and publication of a number of significant papers describing the outcomes of program interventions. This paper appraises the progress so far in the introduction of evidence-based group work and offers some reflections on the challenges faced in moving a large organisation concerned with security and offender supervision towards best practice in group rehabilitative programs.

Cette note présente une collection de récits personnels recueillie par l’auteur auprès des pêcheurs de homard de Météghan en Nouvelle-Écosse. Ce corpus est un inventaire global et non pas total qui aide à comprendre l’évolution de ce village acadien dont la pêche est l’industrie principale. Sa recherche nécessitait une transformation du regard, afin de remarquer, de préserver et de présenter le trésor que constitue la tradition orale de cette région. L’auteur présente ses récits en se basant sur le concept d’ethnotexte élaboré par l’ethnologue Jean-Claude Bouvier et laisse la parole aux informateurs, ce qui permet d’être fidèle à l’expérience orale. Le protocole suivi pour les transcriptions est un compromis entre la fidélité des enregistrements et l’accessibilité du texte, qui conserve le vocabulaire maritime et les mots archaïques. L’auteur montre l’importance culturelle des anecdotes, un amalgame entre la tradition et la modernité, par lesquelles les pêcheurs se définissent, et commence à éclairer l’énigme d’une identité acadienne moderne.

This article examines GRIP, a rehabilitation program currently spreading through California’s state prison system. While most ‘violent offenders’ come to GRIP hoping to increase chances of parole, this yearlong program with four main components – stopping violence, mindfulness, emotional intelligence, understanding victim impact – is meant to create conditions in which inmates can ‘do the work’ leading to genuine transformation. A central claim is that due in part to the trauma-treatment model GRIP follows, inmates end up ‘stumbling on the gold’ and going through changes (involving recovery of an ‘authentic self ’ rooted in childhood) that helps enable skillful responses even to ‘moments of imminent danger’. Understandably, researchers of such programs may seek theoretical inspiration from the ‘dominant’ version of Foucault. Yet this paper sets out to change the conversation about prisons and rehabilitation in part by demonstrating the utility of the ‘other’ Foucault’s pragmatic recovery of body-based self-disciplining practices and regimes.

Abstract The paper deals with lexical collocations in speech, the fact whether they are reproduced as “prefabricates” or formed ad hoc, for the sake of a given situation. It concentrates on their position in the language system and in the text. The compilation of the Academic Dictionary of Contemporary Czech has revealed that the relation langue – parole has to be solved not only in case of multiword lexical units that are formed syntactically from not fixed collocations (cf. Chapters from the Dictionary-making Principles of the Academic Dictionary of Contemporary Czech, 2016), but also in case of multiword units that are coined by a) derivation from nonphraseological multiword expressions (akrobatické lyžování – akrobatický lyžař – akrobatická lyžařka; hlubinná ekologie – hlubinný ekolog – hlubinná ekoložka; pozitivní diskriminace – pozitivně diskriminovat), b) transformation of phrasemes (vypouštět pokusné balonky – pokusný balonek; nosit sovy do Atén – nošení sov do Atén; střelit /střílet od boku – střelba od boku – střílení od boku). These processes result in units belonging to the lexicon (= stable, fixed) or units formed ad hoc for the sake of the text (= unstable, not fixed, produced in speech). The aim of the paper is to analyse these processes and their results, and to solve the way of lexicographic treatment of multiword lexical units coined by derivation and transformation in the Academic Dictionary of Contemporary Czech.

La peau d’Élisa est le résultat d’une commande adressée à Carole Fréchette par le projet Écrire la ville, organisé conjointement par le Centre des auteurs dramatiques de Montréal et l’Atelier Sainte-Anne de Bruxelles. La conception du projet date de 1995, la création de 1998 au Théâtre d’Aujourd’hui. Il y a certes un choix étonnant à ce que ce projet qui vise à « écrire la ville » prenne la forme du souvenir raconté à haute voix, « avec des petits détails qui donnent des frissons », et que ces souvenirs, qu’on emprunte au besoin (« Vous n’auriez pas, comme ça, tout de suite, un souvenir à me prêter ? »), aient aussi pour fonction de protéger la peau du vieillissement. L’article interroge cette étrange relation entre le corps, la parole et la ville, qui engendre la transformation de l’actrice en conteuse, voire en rhapsode, livrant en ses propres mots les souvenirs des autres, pour ne pas avoir à répondre des siens propres, et à ce que, à travers ces souvenirs, ce soit, somme toute, la ville de Bruxelles qui se trouve redessinée.

This study aims to examine the story of Moses and Khidzir as one of the Islamic narrative treasures in the Qur’an. Through Claude Lévi-Strauss’s structural-anthropology approach, to see the structure of mind that works in the story, the results showed that the story of Moses and Khidzir has a certain structure, which is appeared in the structure of non-ladunni and ladunni knowledge. The structure of knowledge can be seen from the existence of binary-opposition relation between Musa and Khidzir and the relation transformation in each episode of the story. Considering the structural-anthropology, the structure of the story must be identified in the human culture. Hereby, the ethnographic methods required to be used, in which the result revealed that the story of Moses and Khidzir believed as a code used by God to convey the general law of knowledge. The contribution of this study in the Qur’anic and socio-cultural studies is on the use of structural-anthropology approach, not only to analyze ‘parole’ and ‘langue’ of Qur’anic language but also to uncover the Qur’anic mind and identifying its existence in the human culture.

The past 40 years have been a time of great change in life sentencing, during which the use of life sentences has dramatically grown and the quality of life sentences has markedly hardened. The rise of life without parole in the United States is a particularly recognizable development, but life sentencing has increased worldwide, and the use of other forms of punishment that hold people in prison until death has also intensified. This article focuses on these transformations by examining several important areas in which thinking and scholarship on life sentencing have been altered and spurred by recent developments. The review concludes by pointing to gaps in the field of research and highlighting issues on which social scientific research on life sentencing has more to contribute going forward.

Video games are increasingly designed to provoke reflection and challenge players’ perspectives. Yet we know little about how such perspective-challenging experiences come about in gameplay. In response, we used systematic self-observation diaries and micro-phenomenological interviews to capture players’ (n=15) lived experience of perspective challenges in purposely sampled games including Hatoful Boyfriend, The Stanley Parable, or Papers, Please. We found a sequence of trigger, reflection, and transformation constituting perspective-challenging experiences, matching Mezirow’s model of transformative learning. Most of these were game-related or ‘endo-game’, suggesting that medium self-reflection could be an overlooked part of everyday game reflection and appreciation. Reflections were accompanied by a wide range of emotions, including frequent epistemic emotions, and emotions could change drastically even during short gameplay experiences. Actual perspective change or transformation was rare. We construct a model of granular types of triggers, reflections, and transformations that can aid reflective game design.

Abstract The similes and parables in Islamic tradition are strongly influenced by their Christian or Jewish predecessors. The Arabic mathal is related to the Hebrew mashal and both words convey a broad range of meanings, from proverb to simile and parable as such. Still, slavish copying is not in order here. Older studies of the Jewish sources of Islam often made the mistake to consider the Islamic stories as merely a bad copy of a Jewish original. Hence the specific characteristics of Islamic story-telling remained in the dark. It is clear, however, that the stories, even if relying on pre-Islamic predecessors, have been modelled and transformed in order to convey a message typical of Islam. Quite often, a conscious polemic with their predecessors can be detected. In this article, I have collected some examples of such story-telling from post-Qur’anic Islamic literature. By demonstrating the (often oral) influence of Jewish and/or Christian stories upon these narratives, the Islamic idiosyncrasies come to the fore.

A study of the process of normative-legal regulation of the activity of the punitive-penitentiary system in the territory of Transcarpathia in 1944-1946 was carried out.After the liberation of the territory of Transcarpathia in October 1944 local authorities faced the need to address a number of issues, including the formation of a system of punishments and the implementation of penitentiary activities. The processes of punitive-penitentiary nature took place as a gradual process of transformation, as a result of which Czechoslovak democratic traditions gradually adopted the features of the Soviet administrative-totalitarian system.The implementation of the above tasks began with the proclamation of a full amnesty to citizens of Transcarpathian Ukraine for crimes committed before the liberation of Transcarpathia. At the same time, work on the creation of correctional institutions begins. According to the relevant Resolution of the People’s Council of Transcarpathian Ukraine, a labor camp was established to serve sentences by persons sentenced to imprisonment.In some cases, as a form of punishment, the death penalty could be applied. However, such court decisions were executed only after approval by the People’s Council, which could replace them with imprisonment.At the same time, the leaders of Transcarpathia considered the re-education of offenders to be their main task. Therefore, forced (corrective) labor was considered the main type of punishment for offenders. For its organization, the position of referents for forced labor was established.
At the same time, parole measures, pardon of convicts could be applied, and in cases where trials were inappropriate, a monetary fine was imposed. All this testified to the significant social orientation of state policy in Transcarpathia in the period 1944-1946.

One of the directions of political modernization in this period is the change in the form of the territorial structure of the state. In the late 1980s, the problem of federalism aggravated, which led to a process that went down in history as a “parade of sovereignties” — a conflict between republican and union legislation associated with declaring the priority of republican laws over union laws. This process affected Central Siberia, in particular the territory of the Khakass Autonomous Region, which has been part of the Krasnoyarsk Territory since 1934. Un document de discussion fut publié en juin 2016 donnant les assises au Groupe de travail sur la légalisation et la réglementation du cannabis qui a rendu son rapport le 30 novembre 2016. Ce rapport, a expliqué le gouvernement, sera un des outils pour élaborer son cadre législatif et servira de base aux discussions avec les provinces et territoires, de même qu’avec les experts qui auront à gérer ce cadre réglementaire. Dans cet article, nous verrons les principaux défis politiques, sociaux et économiques qui attendent le gouvernement dans ces discussions avec les provinces et territoires, de même qu’avec les experts en ce qui a trait aux recommandations du rapport. Il s’organise autour des questions posées sur les cinq aspects de la réglementation dans le document de discussion. Pour identifier ces défis, en plus des apprentissages retenus par les études sur la situation au Colorado et à Washington, se grefferont les apprentissages des études quant à la gestion actuelle des drogues légales. En premier lieu sont exposés les défis liés à l’arrivée même de cette loi, puis ceux qui touchent à l’objectif de santé publique, au système de production, de transformation et de distribution, au contrôle du cadre réglementaire, et enfin, à la question plus spécifique du cannabis à des fins thérapeutiques. Nous verrons pourquoi l’application de cette loi sera complexe, coûteuse et pourra aisément dévier des objectifs de départ. L’arrivée de l’AKP au pouvoir en 2002, sa mutation idéologique au cours des années 2000 et les multiples tentatives du président actuel d’être le porte-parole du monde musulman dans tout le Proche-Orient semblent avoir joué un rôle dans l’ouverture de l’espace public à la présence islamique, non seulement en Turquie mais également en Europe. Cette visibilité a contribué à définir les contours d’un Islam public valorisant de façon combinée l’individualisme et la contemporanéité face à la tradition. Avec son identité néo-libérale, l’AKP a « connecté » d’un côté les milieux islamo-conservateurs aux dynamiques globales et de l’autre, il a mobilisé ses positions anti-occidentales pour mettre en avant sa posture conservatrice et populiste. Ainsi, l’histoire de l’Islam public en Turquie peut-elle être aussi lue comme un positionnement systématiquement frontal avec la modernisation à l’occidentale. Le « moderne » du kémalisme est, dans ce contexte, flouté, voire estompé, derrière le « moderne » conservateur de l’AKP, toujours à la recherche de sa légitimité socio-culturelle. Moins visible que le sujet conservateur féminin, l’homme a également transformé son image lors de cette période de mutation, transformation toutefois dissimulée par les dynamiques masculinistes et cosmopolites de l’espace urbain turc. Il est devenu dépendant des objets culturels utilisés pour marquer et stabiliser son schéma corporel « conservateur ». Définie comme « fonction-clipse », cette tactique ne le « protège » pas seulement de l’image d’homme hyper-occidentalisé, mais le distingue également d’un Islam traditionnel en lui permettant d’exister en tant qu’acteur politique contemporain et différencié.

As in other post-Soviet countries, carceral collectivism characterizes penal institutions in Lithuania. In these institutions, prisoners’ interactions are minimally controlled and convicts are responsible for the maintenance of order; hence, the informal rules of the criminal subculture prevail in Lithuanian correctional facilities. In this article, we examine the prison subculture and adaptation to imprisonment as a significant part of inmates’ social world in post-Soviet Lithuania. By using semi-structured interviews with male prisoners, semi-structured interviews with prison staff, and data from the inmates’ criminal records, we conceptualize both men’s adaptation to imprisonment and current transformations in the Lithuanian prison subculture. As our research shows, the importance of this subculture has decreased in recent years. This process has been influenced by structural changes such as stronger administrative control of convicts, their differentiation and division into smaller groups that limit their mutual contacts, and convicts’ motivation to obtain parole and participate in various rehabilitation programs. The prison subculture has also experienced transformations because of the increasing impact of financial resources on social life, subcultural rules, and interprisoner relationships. Despite these processes, the subculture still plays an important role in inmates’ attempts to choose different daily coping styles and types of adaptation to imprisonment. In this article, we argue that in reforming post-Soviet correctional institutions, a gradual transition to the system of individual cell–type confinement with some remaining elements of collective imprisonment would be desirable.

Pennsylvania has regularly approved incremental changes to sentencing guidelines and correctional statutes, but these often are inadequate when fundamental change is required. In 2014, the Pennsylvania Commission on Sentencing began a comprehensive review of the sentencing guidelines, recognizing the need for structural changes to streamline, simplify, and automate the guidelines, and the need for policy changes to promote certainty and consistency and to improve outcomes. At the same time, the Commission was constructing a new sentence risk assessment instrument and developing new guidelines for resentencing, parole, and recommitment. While all these guidelines are advisory in nature, this change process reflected aspects of an indeterminate structured sentencing (ISS) module, in which a single commission promulgates two sets of coordinated guidelines that constrain both sentencing and release powers. Transformational change requires broad engagement with key change leaders and practitioners, the use of research and analysis to understand current practices and consider best practices, and continued refinement of proposals to gain consensus. This paper describes the change management process employed by the Commission, and the fundament changes proposed through this process, to transform decision-making in Pennsylvania’s indeterminate sentencing system.

Riassunto: Filo conduttore del saggio è la vita di madre Serafina di Dio, carismatica caprese fondatrice, nel secolo XVII, di sette congregazioni femminili ispirate alla spiritualità teresiana. L’affiliazione alla santa di Avila e l’adesione alla matrice della sua riforma hanno consentito alle nuove comunità devote nate da un’iniziativa periferica di collocarsi nell’alveo della Chiesa nella prospettiva istituzionale della trasformazione in monasteri di clausura.Due i focus della ricerca. Da un lato ci si è soffermati sull’omogeneità organizzativa e spirituale dei conservatori garantita da reti devozionali saldamente dipendenti dal carisma della fondatrice secondo un meccanismo nel quale resta assai difficile determinare i confini tra una vita modellizzata dalla santità e il progetto di santificazione della propria vita. Dall’altro si è evidenziata l’importanza della tradizione religiosa e devozionale nel processo di costante contaminazione dell’identità culturale delle due principali penisole del Mediterraneo mai trasformata in fusione, nonostante gli intensi rapporti e la subalternità politica di Napoli a Madrid. Parole chiave: reti devozionali e religiose, spiritualità femminile, Mediterraneo Abstract: The underlying theme of the essay is the life of Mother Serafina di Dio from Capri, the charismatic founder, in the seventeenth century, of seven women’s congregations inspired by the Teresian spirituality. The affiliation to the saint of Avila and the connection to the matrix of her reform allowed these peripheral and devoted communities to position themselves within the fold of the Church, from the perspective of institutional transformation in cloistered monasteries.The first research focus is about the uniformity of organization and spirituality within the retreats guaranteed by devotional networks firmly dependent on the charisma of the founder. A mechanism in which is very difficult to determine the boundaries between a life modeled on the holiness and a project of sanctification of her own life.The other one, is about the importance of religious and devotional traditions in the process of constant contamination of the cultural identity of the two main peninsulas in Mediterranean, never turned into fusion, despite the penetrating contacts and the political subordination of Naples in Madrid. Résumé Le présent travail de recherche retrace la scène mythique du Coup de l’éventail qui opposa le Dey d’Alger Hussein Pacha et le Consul français Pierre Deval en 1827. Nous examinons dans quelle mesure l’interprétation dudit incident pourrait entraver le recours à la sémiotique dans les études historiographiques en reposant sur les théories sémiotiques de Greimas, de Fontanille et de Zilberberg. L’analyse sémiotique des iconographies représentant l’incident a révélé à quel point ce dernier ne pourrait se désubjectiviser bien que Greimas ait déjà proposé de jumeler les deux étapes l’archivage et l’analyse qui devraient être menés par un actant collectif dans le but d’atteindre une «désubjectivisation totalitaire» des faits. S’ajoutant à cela la problématique du découpage temporel qui persiste, l’historien serait incapable d’étudier les modèles de transformation dans le même temps et dans le même ordre car les transformations jouissent d’un caractère irréversible. Or, les signes historiques sont exempts de virtualité, ce qui remet en cause l’intégrité du signe historique. Greimas espérait aboutir à travers le concept de simulacre à une forme du passé narrativisée et débrayée, l’énonciation va ainsi permettre de doter les éléments hétérogènes abondants du passé d’une valeur énonciative mais cela reste difficile à réaliser. Nous reconnaissons néanmoins que le ne pas pouvoir savoir épistémique est un composant légitime de l’incident historique.

Résumé La laïcité française a connu un tournant au cours des trente dernières années. La loi du 9 décembre 1905 avait établi une laïcité libérale. Ce modèle comportait une double face. D’abord, il établissait une séparation entre l’Etat et les cultes: le pouvoir ne pouvait désormais ni les reconnaître, ni les subventionner. Ensuite, il accordait aux religions une complète liberté d’organisation et de communication. Or, au cours de ces dernières décennies, la laïcité s’est reconfigurée. L’Etat a établi, d’une part, des dispositifs de reconnaissance inédits sur le terrain financier et symbolique; il a, d’autre part, introduit des mesures inédites de surveillance des cultes et de neutralisation de l’expression religieuse. On parle ici d’un « tournant substantialiste »: le gouvernement semble bien en effet vouloir s’ériger en garant d’une éthique sociale lourde, correspondant à ce que certains acteurs politiques et certains intellectuels nomment, depuis les années 1980, l’ « identité française ». Cette contribution entend analyser cette mutation en s’arrêtant sur l’enchaînement de trois phénomènes: la transformation des paysages religieux, l’évolution des discours politiques, la transformation des règles juridiques.
