Abstract:
Abstract This is not an article. If anything, these are “trans futurist spiritual science visions”: radically vulnerable interventions that aim to disrupt naturalized forms of publishable knowledge while centering the needs, fantasies, and longings of disabled queer/trans folks in practices of future-making. These lines transcend the limits of academic knowledge. They are an act of resistance against the logics of subjectivity, relationality, fulfillment, and temporality that permeate current and envisioned notions of love(s). Here, a game for us to play: a theoretical-performative experiment to envision future notions of relationality—while shifting the hypernormative and cis hetero-romantic logics behind contemporary understandings of what sex robots should do and/or be. This is an exploration of the challenges/potentialities of relationships “AmongWithToThrough” humans and nonhuman organic, virtual, and/or synthetic beings. For you—disjointed knowledge: I am jamming on the paper, and there is a soundtrack for each section. I spin the page, and invite you to read with(in) the music. Endnotes are important: engage with them. I do not offer settled conclusions. Above all, this is una ofrenda a corazón abierto written in pain (chronic pain) or maybe an invitation for you to hold my hand. Honor your bodymindspirit: read in any order and think whatever you want when you finish. Thank you very much for your time. All the love and light . . .

Abstract:
This article presents a semiotic interpretation of the spatial and temporal infrastructure of the Celtic-Roman world on the example of the ancient Roman Transalpine Consular Road, connecting Rome and Brit- ain. The investigation is based on the author’s field and archaeo-astronom- ical research and antique sources. The article is focused on the active influ- ence of the ancient infrastructure on the socialisation of the contemporary population of the region and the formation of a multi-level identity in its worldview system.

Abstract:

Abstract:
Abstract. During the early modern period, the transport of goods and passengers on ships and rafts was widespread not only in the lowlands, but also in the Alps. The waterway played an important role for transporting heavy loads. It was commonly used for regional trade and could also be part of the transalpine trafic. However, the ability of rivers to carry ships or rafts was not a "natural" one but was human-generated. In a changing economical, technical and political environment, this ability was a matter of constant reproduetion. This is especially the case in the Alps, where every waterway had an upper limit

Abstract:
In 1519, soil from the Campo Santo Teutonico next to St. Peter's in Rome — a burial place thought to contain earth from Jerusalem — was spread over the extramural cemetery in the Saxon town of Annaberg. This article asks how the reception of the soil from Rome was shaped by the local community and its landscape at a time of religious change. It demonstrates the potential for both positive and negative views on the part of Annaberg's citizens, arguing that these were informed not only by traditional religiosity and reform ideas, but also by the distinctive visual and material culture of a silver mining community. In this way, the article offers new perspectives on the transalpine connections of the Campo Santo Teutonico, the role of the substance of the landscape in creating and criticizing links with the Roman Church at the start of the Reformation, and the relationship between materialities of religion and the environment.

Abstract:
Historians often leave the comparative analysis of the city-state in Europe to their colleagues in political science and sociology. But two recent volumes—Scott, The City-State in Europe, and Gamberini and Lazzarini (eds.), The Italian Renaissance State—address a number of traditional assumptions about the differences between Italian and transalpine cities and the differences between princely and republican regimes. Both volumes show how historians can make a valuable interdisciplinary contribution to comparative analysis by paying attention to diverse historical trajectories and contingencies—along the way revealing the resilience of urban forms of political life long thought to have declined with the rise of the territorial state.

Abstract:
Abstract This paper argues that the inscription engraved in the Alphabet of Lugano in sinistrograde ductus at the so-called Mur d’Hannibal (Liddes, Valais, Switzerland) should be read as Poenino | ieur{e}u ‘he dedicated to P.’ The first form is a thematic dative singular. The desinence may well be Latin, but a case is made that it could be a Celtic desinence that displays a regional phonological development. The fourth character of the second form is a reversed Roman open Я, well attested in Cisalpine and Transalpine Celtic epigraphy. This form also displays a token of dittography, a phenomenon attested elsewhere in the Continental Celtic epigraphic corpus.

Abstract:
Altogether, 78 terrestrial mollusc species were recorded on 31 plots in a stretch of the Tichá Orlice River valley between the cities Choceň and Letohrad (East Bohemia, Czech Republic) in 2007 and 2009. This region harbours 46% of the total terrestrial mollusc fauna of the Czech Republic. The fairly high species richness corresponds to a high habitat diversity and species pool of the region that includes Alpine and Carpathian elements. Of prime conservation importance is a high share of rare and endangered species (EN-2, VU-9, NT-14 species) and species mostly having an isolated population there from the main distribution range. This region is a real hotspot of forest gastropods in Transalpine Europe.

Abstract:
In the final decades of the fourteenth and first few years of the fifteenth centuries, scions of the second house of Anjou engaged in what can only be described as an obsession with the conquest of the “Kingdom of Naples and Sicily.” The story of this ultimately futile quest provides one of the more colorful chapters in late-medieval political history, cutting across national and religious boundaries in its recounting of transalpine invasions by massive armies, papal plot and counterplot, betrayal, and only momentary glory. For all the French money and lives lost in the enterprise, almost nothing remains today to remind the world of what happened in southern Italy at that time.

Abstract:
Abstract This essay describes the intertwined syncretism of Italian Anabaptism. It uses the term composite religion to describe a religious heterogeneity in which Antitrinitarianism and Anabaptism are regarded as constituent elements. The circulation of Italian Anabaptists in the Transalpine region facilitated the accumulation and braiding of radical intellectual influences; thus, passing from one creed to the other was fairly unproblematic and those who relocated fostered the circulation of the ideas that soon became the backbone of a movement. In Transylvania and Poland, local variants of Antitrinitarian Anabaptism developed simultaneously – at times cooperating, but also contradicting each other on various occasions, and eventually taking different paths towards the development of mature religious churches.
