Abstract:
Highway is the primary foundation establishment of a city. Exact and timely evaluation for pavement condition plays an important role in keeping trafic flowing and safe, reducing accident, and bringing into play the estabhsh function of roadways. Base on the attribute recognition theory which makes efect identification and analysis for things, the attribute recognition model of evaluation for pavement condition is discussed, and the power weight is developed with the entropy method, which avoids the subjectivity and increases the reliability. This model introduced a simple and efective appraisal method of highway pavement condition.

Revue Française de Géotechnique, no. 172 (2022): 4. http://dx.doi.org/10.1051/geotech/2022017.

Abstract:

Abstract:

Abstract:
In the research results presented here, an average driving cycle is synthesized for an electrically driven car moving in the city of Rome. The technique of Lyons et al. [1] for synthesizing a statistically representative driving cycle was used on a 5 week acquisition set of data collected with a duly equipped electric Citroen Saxo that was driven for over 3100 km by six different drivers in the months of May and June 2001 in Rome. The driving cycle developed is compared with the other available cycles, especially the European ones. The comparison highlights the need for this new dedicated cycle to represent the driving conditions of electric cars in Rome, with a lower value of the acceleration-speed product on account of the limited power of the electric vehicle, frequent changes in the acceleration sign, typical of the trafic in a big city, and a very high maximum speed, typical of the driving behaviour of the inhabitants of Rome.

Abstract:

Abstract:

Abstract:

Abstract:

Abstract:
<p>Nowadays, many pedestrians are injured or killed in traffic accidents. As a result, several artificial vision solutions based on pedestrian detection have been developed to assist drivers and reduce the number of accidents. Most pedestrian detection techniques work well on sunny days and provide accurate traffic data. However, detection decreases dramatically in rainy conditions. In this paper, a new pedestrian detection system (PDS) based on generative adversarial network (GAN) module and the real-time object detector you only look once (YOLO) v3 is proposed to mitigate adversarial weather attacks. Experimental evaluations performed on the VOC2014 dataset show that our proposed system performs better than models based on existing noise reduction methods in terms of accuracy for weather situations.</p>

We argue the importance both of developing simple sufficient conditions for the stability of general multiclass queueing networks and also of assessing such conditions under a range of assumptions on the weight of the traffic flowing between service stations. To achieve the former, we review a peak-rate stability condition and extend its range of application and for the latter, we introduce a generalisation of the Lu–Kumar network on which the stability condition may be tested for a range of traffic configurations. The peak-rate condition is close to exact when the between-station traffic is light, but degrades as this traffic increases.

Abstract:
Ensuring the transport process requires proper interaction of all parts of the system "driver - car - road - environment" and its subsystems. In this case, the driver is often a "weak" component of the system, and his actions can reduce the level of road users` safety. It should be noted that the reliability of the driver can be considered as the probability of his trouble-free and error-free operation, as well as the proper level of his regulatory mechanisms functioning. In this case, to analyze the activities and readiness of the driver for his professional activities, indicators of functional status are often used. Thus, the study of the "human factor" in the transport process is an important task to ensure the reliability of the whole transport system. Today the most of all transportation is carried out by road. The timeliness and safety of cargo delivery and passenger safety depend on the driver's actions. At the same time, the driver is influenced by a considerable number of external environmental factors during his work. One of the most important factors is the mountainous traffic conditions, which often have many changes in plan and the profile of roads. Another feature of such traffic conditions is the height above sea level, affecting the human body, particularly its functional state. Considering the above, the paper measures the heart rate variability of bus drivers moving on a route that was partly in the mountain's conditions. During the research, video recording and registration of the vehicle's geolocation were also carried out. This made it possible to establish indicators of the driver`s functional state in specific periods. After processing the obtained values, the influence of mountainous traffic conditions on the bus drivers` indicator of regulatory systems’ activity was established.

Abstract:
Public transportation is a major part of developing an advanced and modern city. Progress in public transportation is needed to be planned and realized to deal with the development of the city together with population and economic growth. The use of the Trans Metro Pekanbaru bus transportation is not in line with the development and progress of the City of Pekanbaru, which wants to be a smart city, where the role of the Internet of Things (IoT) needs to be realized in building smart cities and currently the use of the Trans Metro Pekanbaru bus in Pekanbaru is still becoming a problem. it needs to be resolved like the Trans Metro Pekanbaru bus lane which still uses a shared lane which causes congestion and lack of good trafic regulations. Trans Metro Pekanbaru bus transportation is still weak in terms of arrival and departure times. Trans metro Pekanbaru has not yet been integrated in a system that can be monitored centrally through the application of an application system based on the Global Positioning System (GPS). To overcome this problem, it is necessary to have the Trans Metro Pekanbaru bus transportation in the form of a prototype line follower robot which is a solution to overcome this problem. The purpose of this research is to make the line follower robot as a trans-metro silmulation bus for Pekanbaru become a smart city that is able to serve and facilitate the public's need for public transportation towards the industrial revolution 4.0. Line follower robot is a robot that works by following a line in the form of a road such as a traf ic lane, where the robot works using photodiode sensors and ultrasonic sensors as proximity sensors so that it stops automatically at every stop or place where passengers rise and fall. Line follower robots are automatically controlled so programming code and fuzzy algorithms are needed. Line follower robots are also equipped with Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) to determine passenger conditions.

Abstract:
The method and results of transport research, carried out by field research method, on the determination of the main indicators of traffic flows with significant unevenness of the movement on the arterial street in conditions of coordinated control is reviewed in the paper. Time parameters of traffic light control for which a reduction in traffic delay is achieved in direct and opposite traffic flow by the change of permissive signal depending on traffic intensity are determined using the simulation method. Change (increase) of the duration of the permissive signal provides uninterrupted movement of vehicles` group during their passage of stop-line at traffic light objects. The proposed method can be used on sections of transport networks with coordinated control, where there is significant heterogeneity of traffic flow, and it prevents the dissipation of groups that consist of vehicles with different dynamic characteristics. Such a result is being performed in the case when in the system of automated control, which combines adjacent intersections on an arterial street, fixed-time program control of traffic light signalization is operating. In this condition, there is a possibility to adjust the duration of signals of traffic light groups by correcting the width (permissive signal duration) and angle of inclination (speed of movement) of the timeline in coordination graphs. The scientific novelty of this research is that the method of traffic delay minimization in conditions of coordinated control acquired further development. The essence of the method is in the controlled change of the range of permissive signal duration in conditions of simultaneous control of the speed of movement between adjacent intersections. Practical value is the application of different programs of traffic light control on sections of arterial streets in transport districts where a significant difference of values of traffic intensity by directions is in morning and evening peak periods.

Abstract:
Introduction. The analysis of road capacity is carried out. Problem statement. One of the reasons for the appointment of the road reconstruction or part of it is the deterioration of traffic safety, resulting in an increase in the number of victims and material losses during traffic accidents. Road capacity is an important indicator during highway reconstruction. The analysis of the road section capacity makes it possible to assess the work of the road during its entire life cycle from the moment of its commissioning to the moment of reconstruction. Existing methods for determining the practical traffic lane capacity, the maximum traffic volume on the highway section give ambiguous results that need to be improved. Purpose. The purpose of the work is to study the average speed, which is one of the factors that determine the maximum traffic volume on the road. Materials and methods. Analysis of the results of experimental studies of average speeds of free movement of different type of vehicles on roads of different categories. Results. The general form of equations of dependence of average traffic speed on radii of horizontal curves and speed on a longitudinal slope is established; the impact of road conditions on the traffic speed according to the study of graphs of average speeds before and after the improvement of traffic conditions on road sections was analyzed. Conclusions. Based on the assessment of traffic conditions with the provision of maximum traffic volume on road sections between intersections and junctions, which determine the traffic volume between them, it is possible to address the need for partial or complete reconstruction of the highway. Abstract:
The classification and detection of traffic status plays a vital role in the urban smart transportation system. The classification and mastery of the traffic status at different time periods and sections will help the traffic management department to optimize road management and implement rescue in real time. Travelers can follow the traffic conditions. We choose the best route to effectively improve travel efficiency and safety. However, due to factors such as weather, time of day, lighting, and sample labeling costs, the existing classification methods are insufficient in real time and detection accuracy to meet application requirements. In order to solve this problem, this article aims to effectively transfer and apply the pretrained model learned on large-scale image data sets to small-sample road traffic data sets. By sharing common visual features, model weight parameter migration, and fine-tuning, the road is finally optimized. Traffic conditions classification is based on Traffic-Net. Experiments show that the method in this article can not only obtain a prediction accuracy of more than 96% but also can effectively reduce the model training time and meet the needs of practical applications.

Abstract:
The article explores the driving conditions for determining the demand of drivers of vehicles for the movement of roads, the road conditions of which should ensure this demand. The object of the study is automobile international and national transport corridors. When optimizing the management of the complex transport system «International, national and local traffic flows - Automotive International and National Transport Corridors» (MNMTP-AMNTC) can be sought to achieve different goals (criteria of optimality), and, depending on these goals, consider the different tasks of optimal management. On road transport, including in this concept of the system of communication routes (highways), the following tasks are the most important: ensuring the least time of communication at limited road costs; - ensuring the specified time of communication at the lowest road costs; - ensuring the lowest transport costs at a limited level of road costs; - ensuring the lowest road costs at a limited level of transport costs; - ensuring the maximum possible level of traffic safety at a limited level of road costs; - ensuring the required level of traffic safety at the lowest road costs; to achieve a minimum of road costs, provided that the specified volume of traffic (traffic), the specified speed and the necessary safety of traffic; ensuring maximum road capacity at a limited level of road costs. According to its parameters, the MMMTP-AMNTC refers to complex systems, the main characteristics of which are: efficiency indicator; stability; obstruction; Reliability. The newest approach of the «Traffic Triad» will allow to evaluate the functioning and ensure the rational management of any transport system with a focus on meeting the needs of users of highways - road users. Abstract:
The predictability of transportation service is of great importance to travelers. Whereas most transportation performance measures deal more directly with congestion, such as through delay measures, few quantify the level of predictability of travel. A new measure that effectively measures predictability of transportation service, the variability index, was developed and demonstrated. The variability index is a good example of the application of data mining in large transportation databases. Conceptually based on multivariate statistical quality control (MSQC), the variability index is computed by measuring the size (spatial volume) of the confidence regions defined by MSQC by using large sets of archived traffic data. In other words, experience (archived traffic data) is mined to measure the level of variability experienced by time and location. A case study application of this procedure demonstrates how this measure can clearly identify times of day and days of the week that experience relatively high degrees of variability in traffic conditions—or less predictable service for the traveler.

Abstract:
Pavements are subjected to repeated traffic and environmental actions. These actions lead to the degradation of pavement and affect the pavement performance. The assessment of pavement performance is important not only for selecting pavement design parameters but also for choosing pavement maintenance and rehabilitation strategies. The traffic loads, the environmental actions, and the properties of pavement material are uncertain. These uncertainties must be taken into account when predicting the pavement performance. Since the traffic and environmental actions vary with time, they should be modeled as stochastic processes. In this study, stochastic models of the net traffic load growth and environmental actions are proposed based on the rectangular pulse processes. These models can be used in conjunction with the Ontario Pavement Analysis of Cost (OPAC) model to predict flexible pavement performance in a probabilistic framework. The prediction of pavement performance for a typical pavement was carried out by using the simple simulation technique and the first-order reliability method. The analysis results suggest that the predicted pavement serviceability measured in terms of the riding comfort index depends on the correlation between traffic effects in each year and the correlation between the environmental actions in each year. The results also suggest that the uncertainty in the riding comfort index is controlled by the uncertainty in traffic and environmental actions in the early stage of service, while it is dominated by the material property of the subgrade in the later stage of service.Key words: deterioration, reliability, pavement, serviceability, stochastic process.

Abstract:
Traffic problems, especially congestion which is the impact of high levels of traffic density, are problems that have not been properly resolved, especially in big cities in Indonesia. In this article, 7 features of road conditions are proposed on the level of traffic density. These features include the number of vehicles, the average speed of the vehicle, the area of the main road, the length of traffic that has been determined, the duration of traffic congestion, and the time of traffic congestion. Determining the level of traffic density can be determined by utilizing the MCDM hybrid technique to produce information that can be used to support decision-making in traffic management or other policies such as formulating policies on the buying and selling of private vehicles. The number of indicators related to computer vision for presenting information on the level of traffic density requires a large amount of time and memory. Besides that, the perception of a decision maker in determining priority weights also influences the results of the information on the level of traffic density.

Abstract:
Traffic paradox is an important phenomenon which needs attention in transportation network design and traffic management. Previous studies on traffic paradox always examined user equilibrium (UE) or stochastic user equilibrium (SUE) conditions with a fixed traffic demand (FD) and set the travel costs of links as constants under the SUE condition. However, traffic demand is elastic, especially when there are new links added to the network that may induce new traffic demand, and the travel costs of links actually depend on the traffic flows on them. This paper comprehensively investigates the traffic paradox under different equilibrium conditions including the user equilibrium and the stochastic user equilibrium with a fixed and elastic traffic demand. Origin-destination (OD) mean unit travel cost (MUTC) has been chosen as the main index to characterize whether the traffic paradox occurs. The impacts of travelers’ perception errors and travel cost sensitivity on the occurrence of the traffic paradox are also analyzed. The conclusions show that the occurrence of the traffic paradox depends on the traffic demand and equilibrium conditions; higher perception errors of travelers may lead to a better network performance, and a higher travel cost sensitivity will create a reversed traffic paradox. Finally, several appropriate traffic management measures are proposed to avoid the traffic paradox and improve the network performance.

We have developed a new computational traffic model in which security aspects are fundamental. In this paper we show that this model reproduces many known empirical aspects of vehicular traffic such as the three states of traffic flow and the backward speed of the downstream front of a traffic jam (C), without the aid of adjustable parameters. The model is studied for both open and closed single lane traffic systems. Also, we were able to analytically compute the value of C as 15.37 km/h from a relation that only includes the human reaction time, the mean vehicle length and the effective friction coefficient during the braking process of a vehicle as its main components.

Abstract:
Estimation of the state of road traffic conditions is gaining increasing attention in recent intelligent transportation systems. Accurate and real-time estimation of traffic condition changes is critical in the management and control of road network systems. Thus, efforts are been made to predict short-term traffic conditions based on measured traffic data such as speed, flow and density. In this work, the state of the traffic is estimated through a three-step process. First, both speed and flow predictions for 15-minute ahead are made for a particular freeway segment. Four different regression models are used for the prediction task, namely, multi-layer perceptron neural networks (MLPNN), support vector regression (SVR), gradient boosted decision trees (GBDT), and k-nearest neighbors (kNN). Next, the breakpoint (BP) flow is calculated using the distribution of these predicted speed and flow values. In the final step, these predictions are classified as belonging to a “stable state” or “metastable state” by using the calculated BP as the threshold between these states. According to the experimental results, the values for MLPNN are the highest for speed (0.8564) and flow (0.9862) predictions. An identical BP, 1050 pc/15min, is calculated for actual data as well as all prediction methods.

Nowadays, the transport industry plays an important role in human well-being and the functioning of any settlement. Transport systems are involved in almost all areas of production and services. Therefore, any failure in its operation can lead to significant material costs. One of the most important such systems is “driver - vehicle - road - environment”. It should be noted, that the main link in it is “driver”. The correctness and duration of decision-making in different road situations depend on the driver`s functional state. This directly affects the level of traffic safety. Consequently, the tasks of modern transport research are the introduction of methods of the vehicle driver`s conditions monitoring and the detection of his fatigue in its early stages. That`s why the actuality of studying the human operator role in the transport process and the creation of modern means of driving assistance are increasing now.

Modern countries have paid great attention to the issue of traffic safety and considered that transportation is one of the mainstays of the state entity, given the tragic facts left behind by traffic accidents, and they have taken preventive measures to ensure safety on the roads, and to establish special programs to prevent traffic accidents, and to create all conditions of security and traffic safety. For all road users, and these procedures include traffic laws that road users must abide by and abide by, and in case of violation, there are penal penalties; To deter individuals and society. It is known that these laws are among the contemporary issues and issues that the early scholars of the nation did not talk about, so it was necessary to examine this issue from a jurisprudential perspective; To show the world the realism of Islam, and the comprehensiveness of its rulings that regulate all aspects of life. Therefore, this research came in response to this problem, which is represented in the jurisprudential rooting of the contemporary rules and laws that regulate traffic in terms of its organization, and in terms of finding deterrent penalties for those who violate it.
