Abstract:
Cet article se propose d'aborder les arcanes de l'écriture et les différentes stratégies pour publier un roman à succès d'après « La Vérité sur l'affaire Harry Québert » de Joël Dicker. En effet, dans ce récit, tout tourne autour d'une question fondamentale : « Comment construire un roman ? ». D 'ailleurs, les personnages principaux sont un professeur et un écrivain qui se lancent dans cette quête quasi- mystique. De plus, l'intrigue tourne autour de la publication d'une enquête policière qui implique Harry Québert, suspecté de meurtre. Le texte en entier baigne dans les interrogations du narrateur Marcus Goldmann sur la construction narrative. Pour rédiger ce roman, Joël Dicker a croisé divers supports médiatiques, a superposé les périodes et les points de vue, a subtilement flouté la frontière entre la vérité et le mensonge. Le lecteur a ainsi l'impression de lire le témoignage de toute une époque mais aussi un véritable condensé encyclopédique.

Abstract:
Ce texte témoigne des interrogations qui ont accompagné mon passage à la maîtrise et de ma recherche portant sur la figure de la sorcière comme figure féministe, ainsi que son inclusion dans ma pratique ar-tistique afin d’y soutenir la production d’un discours féministe. Abordant la sorcière sous les angles historique, politique et spirituel, j’examine les différents discours de réappropriation et de réhabilitation qui lui sont accolés. Souvent, ces discours s’apparentent au fémi-nisme radical et au féminisme marxiste ou au féminisme matérialiste. J'ai donc cherché à mieux com-prendre ces théories et en quoi elles concordaient ou non avec ma propre pensée. Je me suis demandé quelle façon celles-ci s'intégraient ou pouvaient s'intégrer à un féminisme d'aujourd'hui, principalement en regard des concepts d’intersectionnalité et de trans-inclusion. De mes recherches, certains concepts ont émergé : la conscience holistique, l’a-hiérarchie, les actes de fabrication et la connaissance comme source de pouvoir. Abstract:
Comme des matériaux organiques, une caractéristique importante des tourbes est leur évolution chimique et biologique potentielle qui modifient leurs propriétés mécaniques. Un aspect intéressant de cette étude expérimentale sur la tourbe fibreuse de Tampan-Riau (Sumatra, Indonésie), est la comparaison du matériau intact (avec fibres) et du matériau remanié où il ne reste que les fibres les plus petites, qui permet de mieux comprendre le rôle joué par les fibres dans le comportement mécanique. A partir des essais oedométriques à long terme et des essais triaxiaux non drainés, nous étudions la compressibilité, le comportement en fluage, ainsi que les effets de la durée de consolidation et du taux de déformation sur la résistance au cisaillement de la tourbe. Le cryo- microscope électronique à balayage (cryo-Meb) a permis d'observer la texture des échantillons très organiques et fortement hydratés, dans un état proche de leur état naturel pour mieux comprendre leur nature et leur micro morphologie afin de relier ces paramètres à leur comportement. Enfin, une simulation du tassement à long terme, en utilisant un modèle de sol compressible avec fluage, a été appliquée au calcul de l'essai oedométrique, ainsi qu'une simulation des étapes de construction d'un remblai sur un dépôt de tourbe.

Panurge, le moins estimé des personnages rabelaisiens, est souvent traité comme le faire-valoir du géant Pantagruel. Rabelais le fait cependant apparaître très fréquemment, et sous des traits si variés et si importants pour l'intrigue qu'il paraît réducteur de ne voir en Panurge qu'un actant de second ordre. Elément complexe de la trame romanesque, Panurge étonne tout d'abord par ses paroles atypiques, dont nous dégagerons les principales caractéristiques en les comparant à celles des autres personnages. Ces discours, où se rencontrent des langues de toutes origines, des pièces poétiques, des pastiches et des mélanges déconcertants, défient tous les classements. Son boniment éclectique semble alors tout proche de celui d'un narrateur. Les paroles de Panurge provoquent d'une autre manière lorsqu'elles décodent des signes (linguistiques ou non). Ses audaces interprétatives témoignent d'une habilité autant que d'une méthode inédites. La singularité du personnage tient à cette insolence herméneutique qui multiplie les gloses : elle s'engage toujours "au rebours" des attentes et des convenances sémiotiques dont elle ne peut se satisfaire. L'excentricité se mesure enfin aux actions de ce personnage paradoxal : situées entre les fourberies du gueux littéraire et les fredaines du fou de cour, elles surprennent et se dérobent aux catégories. A ce titre elles confirment le ton des discours. Leur fonction avive celle de la parole : "excuse" de Rabelais, Panurge a le rôle essentiel de permettre à son auteur d'esquiver les attaques de la censure. Toujours innocente, et pourtant très corrosive, cette voix de fiction semble reproduire dans le roman les fonctions qui sont celles de la carte du Mat dans le jeu de tarot.

Ce manuscrit expose le développement de ressources fondamentales pour les communications quantiques à longues distances basées sur les technologies des fibres optiques télécoms et des guides d'onde optiques non linéaires. Après une introduction générale sur les communications quantiques, cette thèse est structurée en trois parties principales. La première partie illustre le développement de deux sources pour la génération de paires de photons intriqués en polarisation et émis à une longueur d'onde télécom via conversion paramétrique spontanée (SPDC) dans des guides d'ondes non linéaires intégrés sur niobate de lithium périodiquement polarisé. Les sources s'appuient respectivement sur un accord de phase de type-II et un accord de phase de type-0 et sur des solutions de filtrage et d'interférométrie mises en place après le cristal non linéaire. Dans la seconde partie, sont discutées les réalisations de deux sources de photons uniques annoncés haut débit. La première s'appuie sur le multiplexage spatial sur puce de photons uniques annoncés. La seconde exploite le multiplexage temporel passif grâce à l'utilisation d'un laser télécom cadencé à 10 GHz. Enfin, nous présentons une approche tout-optique visant la synchronisation de sources distantes de paires de photons intriqués, agencées selon une architecture de type relais quantique distribué. Cette technique innovante repose sur l'utilisation d'un laser télécom impulsionnel en tant qu'horloge optique de référence. Cette horloge autorise la synchronisation de l'émission de paires de photons dans la bande C des télécoms en deux lieux distants. Des résultats préliminaires d'interférence à deux photons sont montrés et discutés
This manuscript reports the development of fundamental resources for long distance quantum communication based on fibre telecom technology and non-linear optical waveguides. After a general introduction on quantum communication, the thesis is structured along three parts. The first part illustrates the development of two photonic polarization entanglement sources suitable for quantum networking. Both sources generate paired photons at telecom wavelength via spontaneous parametric down conversion (SPDC) in periodically poled lithium niobate waveguides (PPLN/W). They rely on type-II and type 0 phase matching, respectively. In the second part, two high quality heralded single photon sources are highlighted. The first one relies on on-chip generation and spatial multiplexing of heralded single photons towards achieving higher bit rates. The second one takes advantage of passive temporal multiplexing of a single SPDC process. Finally, an all-optical approach towards efficient and accurate synchronization of remote entangled photon pair sources within quantum relay architecture over long distances is presented. This particular synchronization technique highlights the use of ultra-fast picosecond pulsed telecom fiber laser, operating at 2.5 GHz repetition rate, acting as a master optical clock, enabling to accurately synchronize the emission of photon pairs in the telecom C-band of wavelengths at two remote locations. This innovative approach is applied for synchronizing two remote PLLN/W based sources operated at 2.5 GHz, and preliminary results on two-photon interference obtained with single photons coming from each source are shown and discussed

Abstract:
La tourbe possède une grande capacité à fixer les éléments traces (ET). Industriellement, celle-ci est utilisée dans le procédé des "Jardins filtrantsTM développé par la société Phytorestore, et qui consiste à filtrer des effluents chargés en ET à travers un casier contenant un mélange de tourbes blondes (SP) et noires (CP), et planté de roseaux (Phragmites australis). Le but de ce projet de recherche était d'améliorer l'efficacité du procédé via la compréhension des mécanismes de rétention du cuivre sur les particules de tourbe et à l'interface tourbe/racine. Ces interactions sont connues pour conditionner la mobilité et la biodisponibilité des ET. Trois approches ont été mises en oeuvre. L'approche chimique (titrages et isothermes d'adsorption) a montré que SP possède une plus grande réactivité que CP tant en terme d'échange de proton (QH,tot=3.88 vs. 3.64 mmol/g) que d'affinité pour le cuivre (log KCu,COOH= 1.71 vs. 1.30). L'approche spectroscopique (EXAFS et XANES) a montré que pour des teneurs comprises entre 100 et 300 ppm, Cu forme majoritairement un chélate double à cinq atomes du type Cu(malate)2 avec les groupements mixtes OH-R-COOH. A des teneurs supérieures, il est complexé par les groupements dicarboxyliques COOH-R-COOH et forme un chélate à six atomes du type Cu(malonate). L'approche micro-spectroscopique (μ-EXAFS et μ-XANES) a montré que les deux complexes précédents sont majoritaires dans le casier à tourbe. La rhizosphère du casier contient également des grains de laiton et des agrégats organo-minéraux nanocristallins de cuivre métallique. Les premiers sont d'origine anthropique et les seconds biologiques.

Abstract:
Families with children belong to an important segment of participants in both domestic and outbound tourism. Families with children are thus also an important segment for tour operators. Based on a questionnaire survey, the paper aimed to identify the needs of Czech families with children, factors, and preferences that influence their choice of a holiday abroad. The questionnaire survey results showed which needs the tour operators should consider when preparing an offer for this segment. Based on the evaluation of the answers in questionnaire, it was found that the most important factors in choosing a holiday for families with children are: the location of the accommodation facility, the safety of the destination and the price of the package tour. Most often, this segment selects package tours from the regular catalogue offer, as it has more choices, and buys them directly at stone branches, as there is an opportunity to get advice from sellers as competent persons. The most popular destinations are Greece, Spain and Italy, where families with children most often go on eight-day package tours. Families with children also generally prefer four-star all-inclusive hotels and prefer air travel.

Abstract:
Tour guides are considered a significant part of the critical player in tourism development and experience. The tour guide's role in the tourism sector differs according to its type, importance, characteristics, and location. Besides, the person who is guiding a group of people (tourists) may significantly impact attracting tourists and developing the tourism sector through the role and characteristics they played and practice during their tours. Therefore, this research aims to examine tour guides' role in developing the tourism sector: from managers' perspectives of travel and tourism companies operating in Erbil. The researchers used a survey questionnaire as a data collection tool; however, the survey sample includes 122 managers randomly selected from different tourism companies to reply to the survey questions. The conceptual scheme and hypotheses are established that emphasize the correlation and effect among the research variables; the hypotheses are tested using SPSS V.25. The research reached some conclusions; most significant, the research found a positive relationship and effect between tour guides and developing tourism.

Abstract:
Due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, college tours are no longer available, so many students have lost the opportunity to see their dream school’s campus. To solve this problem, we developed a product called “Virtourgo,” a university virtual tour website that uses Google Street View images gathered from a web scraper allowing students to see what college campuses are like even when tours are unavailable during the pandemic. The project consists of 3/4 parts: the web scraper script, the GitHub server, the Google Domains DNS Server, and the HTML files. Some challenges we met include scraping repeated pictures and letting the HTML dropdown menu jump to the correct location. We solved these by implementing Python and Javascript functions that specifically target such challenges. Finally, after experimenting with all the functions of the web scraper and website, we confirmed that it works as expected and can scrape and deliver tours of any university campus or public buildings we want.

Dans ces interactions, les précautions diplomatiques sont de première importance, et elles ne sont ni toujours réciproques, ni une garantie de succès ; mais toutes les situations sont riches d’enseignements : en matière d’interdisciplinarité, tout vaut mieux que la juxtaposition dans l’indifférence partagée.

Abstract:
The corona virus has shaped our everyday life in many ways during the last two years. The COVID-19 pandemic has upended the travel and tourism industries and opened many questions about the future of individuals working in the tourism industry. Traditional well-known concepts must be changed. The urban tourist of the post-covid time will probably travel in a world more digitally mediated than ever before. To stay relevant during the pandemic, business organizations had to apply digital tools. Tourism organizations did the same. Therefore, the position and perspectives of the tour guides whose role has always been an inevitable segment of the touristic offer has been called into question and is significantly threatened. The number of tourists was limited because of lockdowns, which seemingly led to disappearance of the ‘traditional’ guided group tours. This paper aims to provide the description of the position of the tour guides in the world considering the current epidemiological situation and to focus on the future trends that should be developed in this field. It also emphasizes the importance of recognizing new forms of touristic offers that shall influence the way of engaging tour guides, thus considering whether digitalization will somehow suppress the “live performance” of a tour guide.

Abstract:
De retour en Chine en juin 1906 en tant que consul de France, Claudel entreprend l’écriture de L’Esprit et l’Eau, sa deuxième des Cinq Grandes Odes qui paraîtront en 1910. Le 9 septembre il renseigne son ami et écrivain André Suarès à propos de l’avancement du texte : « J’écris en ce moment une espèce d’Ode sur cette eau essentielle en nous qui est le besoin d’être parfaitement liquide et translucide. Ce n’est point l’impur qui fermente, c’est le pur qui est séminale ». Ces quelques lignes ne sauraient pas du tout réduire la symbolique claudélienne de l’eau telle qu’elle est élaborée dans ce poème de Claudel. Elles suffisent, pourtant, à donner une idée de la profondeur avec laquelle le poète s’approprie le thème de l’eau. Image de vie et d’éternité, de liberté et de pureté, mais aussi de purification, ainsi que « lien liquide » réunissant les êtres entre eux et avec leur Créateur, l’élément fluide ne pouvait pas faire défaut dans la poésie claudélienne. Et, de fait, il est présent dans toutes ses manifestations physiques et métaphysiques. Ainsi eaux bibliques, liturgiques, terrestres, marines et corporelles sont toutes idéalement canalisées dans l'immense bassin symbolique que constitue cette ode. Un poème grandiose, par lequel le poète entendait célébrer le siècle nouveau, mais aussi fermer définitivement une période turbulente de sa vie passée (« Et moi aussi, je l’ai donc trouvée à la fin la mort qui me fallait ! […] J’ai connu l’amour de la femme. / […] J’ai connu cette source de soif »). Public et privé, divin et humain, corporel et spirituel se diluent donc dans ce poème, à l'image de ce qu’écrivait Gaston Bachelard : « l’eau, dans son symbolisme, sait tout réunir ». Étant donné la présence et la diversité influentes et croissantes des groupes armés communautaires (GAC) dans les États touchés par un conflit, il est essentiel de développer des cadres analytiques et des typologies pour soutenir les acteurs internationaux, étatiques et communautaires interagissant avec les groupes armés en tant qu’acteurs politiques et sécuritaires. Les deux questions clés sont : 1) comment les GAC peuvent être engagés, gérés ou transformés pour jouer un rôle constructif dans les communautés locales dans les États faibles, fragiles ou touchés par un conflit ; et 2) comment leurs opérations peuvent exacerber la fragilité et la violence en s’attaquant par exemple aux communautés ou en s’alignant sur d’autres groupes armés non étatiques. Alors que l’attention se tourne de plus en plus sur la fragilité et la prédation de l’État en tant que causes profondes de la violence intrastate et de l’émergence de l’extrémisme violent, il est essentiel d’inclure les GAC dans toute analyse des réseaux politiques et sécuritaires informels qui sont dominants dans les États fragiles en l’absence d’institutions publiques formelles.

La recherche présentée ici s’intéresse aux processus de qualification et de déqualification d’espaces industriels situés en milieu urbain. En effet, à partir de l’étude des arbitrages entre recherche de sécurité et développement urbain dans le contexte particulier d’un site industriel sinistré, il s’agit de voir en quoi la catastrophe s’impose comme un temps brutal, et parfois irréversible, de déqualification d’un espace dédié jusque-là à l’industrie. Ces travaux entendent montrer comment s’opèrent les arbitrages en situation de crise, la prégnance de la catastrophe et de l’émotion qu’elle suscite dans les décisions à court terme. L’un de leurs intérêts réside dans la mise en perspective de deux cas de sites sinistrés. Il s’agit tout d’abord du pôle chimique sud-toulousain, dévasté par l’explosion dans l’usine d’engrais AZF le 21 septembre 2001. Cet accident a entraîné la mort de 31 personnes, des blessures pour de nombreuses autres, et de multiples dégâts matériels dans toute la ville de Toulouse. L’autre cas concerne l’incendie du dépôt pétrolier Shell dans le port industriel Édouard Herriot de Lyon en juin 1987, ayant causé la mort de deux personnes.
