Abstract:
Nature-based tourism is a type of tourism that is primarily concerned with the direct enjoyment of relatively undisturbed natural phenomena. Today, it is among the types of tourism which are characterised by significant growth rates at the global level. It has considerable growth potential and its development can concurrently ensure tourist satisfaction with the nature experience, profit for tourism providers, funds for environmental protection and an improvement in living standards in local communities. Nevertheless, it is also important to be aware of the potential negative implications of nature-based tourism development and to continuously manage all aspects of sustainability. This paper aims to determine the main study aspects of nature-based tourism, the most common methodological approaches and the most important characteristics of its contemporary development. For this purpose, an analysis of recent empirical research on nature-based tourism was conducted, and a total of 41 original scientific papers were included in the analysis. The four study aspects derived from this analysis contribute to determining the general characteristics of nature-based tourism's contemporary development, the prerequisite factors for this development, and the effects it has on a given area.

Abstract:
The article contains a thorough study of tourist flows in Ukraine during the last 18 years. The tendencies of the development of international tourism during the last 20 years and their influence on the development of tourism in Ukraine have been explored. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of inbound tourist flows. The negative dynamics of tourist arrivals in Ukraine led to the construction of a forecast model for the development of this component of tourism activity with the aim of an objective assessment of future tourist arrivals and the adoption of effective management decisions on improving the situation of tourism in Ukraine. Tourist destinations today are rigorously competing for consumer interest in tourism products. In view of this, tourist facilities operating in the tourist market place particular emphasis on the elements of tourism marketing (product, price, distribution, advertising, human capital, actual data, processes).Modern forecasting systems and methods have been used to build a forecast of tourism development in Ukraine and, in particular, arrivals of foreign tourists to Ukraine. An analytical forecasting model was built by the system of CurveExpert in the form of a polynomial function, analytical forecasting models were built by the system of computer algebra Maple in the form of piecewise linear and piecewise polynomial functions. Numerical prediction models in the MathCAD system using different types of spline-interpolation and predictive functions have been constructed. A comparative analysis of the results of forecasting in different systems was carried out. The results of the comparative analysis give confidence in the development of inbound tourism in Ukraine.

Abstract:
AbstractIntroduction. City tourism is one of the most frequently chosen forms of tourism consisting of many motives for doing it. On the modern tourist market, there are many negative phenomena that significantly affect the functioning of urban tourist destinations but primarily have an impact on the decisions of potential tourists about choosing cities as a tourist destination. These phenomena pose a threat to the development of both cities and tourism. They are conditioned by endogenous factors, which result from the functioning of the city, and exogenous ones, i.e. those related to socio-economic relations of the city with the environment, including tourist traffic. Cities, as a destination or transit tourist destination, are characterized by high concentration of tourist traffic; hence, the negative phenomena often affect urban tourist space with great intensity. The aim of the study is to present the author’s concept of sustainable urban tourism policy assumptions. After presenting the concept of sustainable urban tourism development policy, the following issues will be discussed: basics of tourism policy, urban tourism, sustainable tourism, classification of threats related to the sustainable development of urban tourism.Material and methods. The study is of theoretical and conceptual nature. The following research methods will be used: critical analysis of the literature and methods of logical operations.Results. The effect of the considerations is to propose the assumptions of the concept of sustainable urban tourism development policy.Conclusions. The most important problems related to the functioning of sustainable tourism were indicated, taking into account the impact of tourism on the natural environment and on overtourism.

Abstract:
Tourism is one of the most important and dynamic sectors of the world's economy. However, the coronavirus pandemic in 2020–2021 caused significant losses in the tourism industry. The pandemic has also significantly affected the tourism development in Germany, which is one of the world's leading tourist destinations. The article analyzes the dynamics of tourism development in Germany in 2012–2022 and calculates the indicator of the integral index of tourism development in the federal states of Germany. The average values of the initial partial indicators for 2018–2022 are taken, to determine the integral index of tourism development level in the federal lands of Germany, which reflect both absolute and relative parameters of tourism growth. Based on the calculated average integrated index of the tourism development level in the federal lands of Germany, the features of spatial differentiation in the tourism development in the country are clarified. The analysis shows that before the coronavirus pandemic, tourism in Germany was significantly developing. The total number of tourist arrivals by 2020 increased annually by more than 20 %. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, their number and tourism revenues halved in 2020 and 2021. In 2022, this indicator and other indicators of the development of the German tourism industry tended to improve. Domestic tourists dominate the total number of tourist arrivals. The calculated average integral index of tourism development in the federal lands showed a significant spatial asymmetry in the levels of development of the German tourism industry. According to this index, the federal lands of Germany are divided into five groups: high, high than average, medium, lower than average, and low tourism development levels. The lands of Berlin and Bavaria have a high level of tourism development. These regions are well-known tourist destinations in Germany. They have a rich cultural heritage, abundant natural resources and attractive landscapes, and a large number of tourist accommodation facilities. Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Hamburg, Schleswig-Holstein, and Baden-Württemberg have a higher level of tourism development than the national average. These lands are characterised by a large number of tourist overnight stays, accommodation facilities, territorial concentrations, and a high intensity of tourism. The western German lands of Lower Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia have an average level of tourism development. These lands are characterised by high tourist arrivals and the number and capacity of accommodation facilities. However, due to the large area of these territories, they have low indicators of the territorial concentration of tourism activity. Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate, Bremen, Saxony and Brandenburg have a lower level of tourism development than the German average. These regions are characterised by moderate tourism development indicators. The federal lands of Saxony-Anhalt, Thuringia and Saarland have the lowest level of tourism development due to low volumes of tourist flows and low concentration of accommodation facilities. The German government has introduced several measures to support the tourism industry during the pandemic, including emergency financial assistance, grant support, a special loan program, tax measures, and short-term leave for businesses. It is known that higher tourism development indicators are typical for the lands with the highest level of social and economic development. Tourism is a factor that influences the economic development of both the country and individual federal states. Keywords: integral index of tourism development, Germany, tourism, tourist arrivals, federal state.

Abstract:
Objective. The objective of the article is the investigation of the world tourism development cyclicality in the context of increasing globalization processes. Methods. To achieve the objective a complex of general scientific and special research methods are used, namely: methods of theoretical generalization, analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction (to research the starting points of the general theory of the economic cycle, on which process fluctuations in tourism are based), as well as special analysis methods: statistical and structural, mathematical modeling (to determine market fluctuations in world tourism, cyclical fluctuations in world tourism and in the regional context, assessment of world tourism cyclical development), historical and abstract-logical modeling (to build a life cycle model for t world tourism development). Results. It is determined that cyclicity is an objective regularity of the world tourism dynamics. Using the method of spectral analysis by the index of international tourist flows, it was determined that the transition to each subsequent stage in world tourism development occurs spontaneously and regularly and is carried out under the influence of economic, political, social and other processes in the world. It is noted that the cyclical nature in the world tourism development is characterized by the duration, which depends on the specific economic situation and the effect of a complex of other factors: short, medium and long periods reflecting periodic recessions and upswing caused by shifts in reproductive structure and changes in economic policy, the general market situation and the specific conditions. The model of the evolutionary cycle of world tourism, which consists of four successive stages: exploration, growth, maturity, decline or renewal is considered. It is determined the main criteria for the transition from one stage to another are: changes in the number and rate of tourist arrivals, various economic processes (vertical and horizontal integration, concentration, informatization, etc.), the state of the natural environment and tourist infrastructure, the attitude of the local population to the visitor.

Purpose: The purpose of the study is to identify the tourist attractions available in Northern Nigeria, and unveil the relationship between tourism and peace, as well as tourism and national development in the region. It attempts to understand the perception of respondents on whether tourism has any significance in building peace and contributing to national development in Northern Nigeria. Method: The study adopts a mix method of quantitative and qualitative. Data was generated through structured questionnaire and complemented with a desk review of literature. Convenience Sampling was utilised in collecting data from 522 respondents in Kaduna (56), Kano (62), Kebbi (42), Katsina (45), Sokoto (54), Borno (63), Yobe (58), Bauchi (47), Adamawa (41), and Taraba (54) States of Northern Nigeria. Result: The study revealed that northern Nigeria has numerous tourist attractions that have not been appreciated and highly under-utilised. The findings contradict the existing literature that tourism contributes to peace largely because of the poor awareness that respondents have on the tourist attractions in their region as well as their inability to utilise those sites for meaningful purposes. However, other findings of the study are in compliance with existing studies which posits that tourist attractions contributes to national development especially on the economic aspects. The study acknowledges the relevance of tourism to research purposes, as well as an avenue for promoting socio-cultural values. Contribution: The paper contributes to the existing research based literature and debates on tourism and its relationship with peacebuilding and national development. It presents a location specific opinion of respondents on tourist attractions which will be used for empirical reference purposes. It will therefore benefit writers in the field of tourism to understand the current perception of individuals thereby exploring further into specifics of how investments in tourism can enhance peaceful co-existence and national development. Abstract:
Tourism is an important part of the global economy and culture. However, the tourism sector accounts for 8% of global greenhouse gas emissions. This is why it is imperative to move towards a more sustainable tourism model. Developing countries consider tourism as an essential element for economic development and poverty alleviation. The aim of the research was to reveal the development of sustainable tourism in Essaouira, specifically. We conducted research by gathering data and developing a series of questionnaires. Our sample design, known as simple random sampling, ensured that every item in the population had an equal opportunity to be included in the sample and any possible sample. Essaouira, as a city in the developing country of Morocco, tourism plays an important role in economic growth, and has become a popular tourist destination. Sustainable development is needed in order to increase the length of stay of tourists; therefore, it is necessary to behave responsibly and ethically towards nature. This is also important because certain tourist activities have negative impacts on Essaouira’s environment. Apart from the local population and tourists, the local government should also take a more active role in creating sustainability. The properly chosen marketing policy of tourist organizations can also make tourism more sustainable in Essaouira. Besides, tourism organizations and tourism-related companies should develop sustainable products.

Abstract:
This paper presents the development of tourism market through the alternative forms of tourism. Origins and main definitions are presented followed by an analysis of the complexity of classifying the alternative forms of tourism. It is about developing new forms of sustainable tourism that integrate local populations and both natural and human environments of host countries. Ecotourism, cultural tourism and creative tourism support a different philosophy of tourism. Ecotourism in recent years encloses many tourism forms focused on natural environment. In the concept of alternative tourism, the dynamic growth of cultural tourism can be explained by the fast growth of demand for trips to various cultural attractions and amenities. Τhe increase of educated population around the world, the globalization and technology supported this growth. Cultural tourist, from consumer is transforming to producer of the cultural products and experiences. Since this type of tourist becomes more interactive and creative, cultural tourism needs to be repositioned and become more “creative” too. In this way, the present article provides a simplified approach of the new “alternative” tourism development and distinguishes the current trends in tourism market.

Abstract:
In the context of a complicated geopolitical situation and with a certain change in the possibilities of human movement in space, a subconscious, but later conscious increase in a person's desire to travel occurs at the first stages, expanding the space around them to obtain new positive emotional sensations. The active development of domestic tourism provides for the need to choose a conceptual approach in prioritizing the orientation of the tourism industry market. The classical approach to the development of regional tourism is focused on the development of tourist infrastructure and the promotion of a differentiated competitive tourist product. The Sverdlovsk region, traditionally known for promoting industrial and business tourism, is entering the next stage of tourism development in the region, which allowed it to move from 10th place in 2022 in the ranking of sustainable development of tourism and the hospitality industry in the subjects of the Russian Federation to 6th place in 2023. Currently, a new, non-economic model of regional tourism development is being formed, aimed at meeting the needs of each individual tourist and subsequently increasing the tourist flow and income to the region as a result of the current prolonged effect of new travel experiences. At the same time, when choosing a travel product, a person is based on his sensory perception and the possibility of receiving positive emotions. The priority is to meet the needs, then increase the tourist flow and income from tourism.

Abstract:
The main concepts of urban tourism development and ecological urban tourism are analyzed. It is shown that such types of modern tourist business, despite its rapid development, need a clear scientific basis that will ensure its orderliness and targeted optimization. Along with such purely tourist resources as attractiveness, historical value, aesthetic appeal, recognizability, the ecological safety of tourist groups and individual tourists is an essential point. These are complementary factors that not only contribute to the development of urban tourism, but also ensure its optimized safety. Urban tourism is one of the most intensive tourist destinations in modern society. In general, the concept of "city tourism" is relatively new. Its concept was formed in world tourism in the late twentieth century. thanks to the work of German scientists L. Hartmut, G. Neuenfeldtut, O. Rose (1980-1990). For example, L. Hartmut's dictionary (1997) defines urban tourism as “a short-term (usually 1–4 days) visit to a city with the following purpose: interest in the history and culture of the city; participation in various events; purchase of various goods. Often such a visit is carried out in the form of a weekend excursion and can take place both individually and in groups, ie both organized (through a tour of the company and with guides), and independently. The growing intensity of the development of urban tourism in Ukraine, as well as the intensification of the development of related industries, makes scientific developments in the perspective of justifying the optimization of such a component of the tourism industry is extremely relevant. At the same time, there are certain components of such relevance that are related to the structure of urban tourism. It includes scientific developments that aim to reveal the possibilities of tourism development in a particular city, from purely quantitative indicators of the intensity of possible tourist flows to ensure their quality, including environmental safety. As a result, the relevance and novelty of such studies is a holistic expression, where each component is characterized by its own structurally oriented place and complements other components. Urban tourism and its component urban ecological tourism are among the most promising tourist destinations. Along with their spontaneous development, there is a need for scientific understanding of such activities, which will contribute to the development of the necessary legislative solutions. Today there are discussions on defining the main concepts of urban tourism development such as urban tourism itself, the ecological environment of urban tourism development, ecological safety of urban tourism development, tourist ecological resource, etc. In general, the prospects of such a tourist destination are beyond doubt, and the scientific basis that can optimize such tourism development is a necessary and timely completion of it today. The researches presented in the article encourage to improve the optimization of urban tourism development in any city of Ukraine. At the same time, the identification of the main problem situations contributes to focusing on them, which can significantly reduce time and money resources when planning the development of the tourism industry in cities. Such approaches allow to optimize urban planning in the field of tourism development. Since the scientific developments presented in the article are largely generalized, they can be used in the development of the tourism industry in any city of Ukraine. Key words: urban tourism, ecological city tourism, urban tourist resources, ecological safety of tourists.

Abstract:
Contemporary trends on the world tourism market show that the number of tourists attracted by the cities in growing. Urban tourism is a growing tourism market and especially are attractive the cities in Europe. The cities as an important tourist destinations came of age during 1980s. The local governments came to recognize that tourism could have a role in urban economic development. The invisibility of tourism in cities partly arises from the fact that many facilities are used both by residents and visitors. Improving these facilities therefore provides benefits for local residents as well as assisting the promotion of tourism. City tourism development plan should be prepared as an integral part of global economic and social development plan of the city, with the main aim to integrate the tourism in existing urban economic development, and at the same time to prevent conflict situations. Tourism development in the city needs a network and cooperative relationships between local government, tourist organization, tourist agencies and different organizations/institutions in the city; public-private partnership is a must. In the paper are analyzed the main attributes, principles and goals of the tourism in the cities.

Abstract:
The article analyzes the essence of the modern tourist market, reveals the dynamics of international tourist arrivals over the past decades, and establishes the leading countries and directions of the development of the tourist market in the world. The classification of influencing factors on the development of the tourist market is studied in detail and presented. Considerable recreational potential of Ukraine, favorable climatic conditions of the country, network of transport connections, cultural and religious heritage, developed hospitality industry, highly qualified staff with world-famous medical and ski resorts, and UNESCO World Heritage sites. It has been proven that during the time of independence, more than 20 million tourists visited the country every year, income from tourism was growing, and the number of tourists was even before the start of the global upheavals of recent years (COVID-19 and the full-scale terrorist war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine). It was found that today, tourism is the most profitable sphere of the world economy. This is evidenced by the development of the tourism sector in the country, which is determined by the tourist infrastructure and includes, first, tourism organizers (tour operators and travel agencies), as well as accelerated processes of informatization of society and the development of information and communication technologies, which in turn quite actively contribute to the development of international tourism. Segmentation of the tourist market was carried out, and recommendations for the future development of the tourist industry were offered. The relationship between exchange rates and consumer behavior on the market has been studied. It has been confirmed that the possibility of tourism demand is also closely related to legal norms concerning various spheres of life, not necessarily directly related to tourism. Among the legal, administrative, and organizational tools, it should be mentioned, first, decisions in the field of free time (paid vacations, weekly working hours, vacations for rehabilitation, the actual amount of free time). Developed a system of sports entertainment and active activity of friendly local organizations. Introduction. The modern tourism industry is one of the fastest-growing branches of the world economy and is considered both an independent type of economic activity and an interdisciplinary complex. In many countries and regions, tourism is the main source of income. Tourism is a significant source of job creation. The article aims to study the article is to research the disclosure of influencing factors on the development of the tourist market and to determine the trends of tourist flows in the conditions of the pandemic. The results. In general, there is an uneven development of international tourism in the countries of the world. The main reasons for this are the underdeveloped infrastructure of the tourism sphere and related service spheres, customs control difficulties and an unfavorable visa regime for foreign tourists, low investment activity in the tourism sphere, problems of the shadow economy, low professionalism of workers in the sphere of tourist services, insufficient level of quality of tourist services, economic and political destabilization, imperfect legal security of the industry. Under the conditions of solving these problems, the interest of international tourists will increase precisely in these countries, given the affordability of tourist services in them. World trends in international tourism make it possible to classify the tourism business as one of the most promising sectors of the economy. However, the world's tourism field develops unevenly and has regional characteristics. A developed tourist infrastructure contributes to the improvement of the country's attractiveness and competitiveness in the world, accelerates the processes of its integration into the world economy, and ensures the transition from an agrarian and industrial economy to the development of an economy based on the service sector. For the development of international tourism in a certain country, first, such conditions as a favorable climate, nature, historical and cultural heritage, developed hotel infrastructure and infrastructure of related industries, a high level of security, including from international terrorism, are needed; affordability of tourist services, national folklore, and cultural heritage, developed system of sports entertainment and active activity of friendly local organizations. But for the natural resource and cultural potential to be used to the maximum, significant investments in this area, highly professional personnel, proper state regulation, and stabilization of the macroeconomic situation are needed. The market model of the economy necessitates the improvement of the organizational and economic mechanism for the development of international tourism, which is associated with the intensification of this industry, increased competition on the world market, the development of new organizational forms of international tourism, increased capital mobility, and the expansion of market boundaries and business contacts. Keywords: tourism market, development, factors, factors, categorization, systematization, segmentation, market subjects, goods, services, demand, supply, income, costs, growth, pandemic.

Indonesia has the potential of natural resources for tourism development. One of the natural resources that the government continues to develop in Indonesia is the Lake Toba tourist attraction. The level of tourism visits at Lake Toba tourist destinations in Indonesia in recent years is low. Policies designed to provide a socially inclusive and ecologically sound tourism framework are weak in encouraging local wisdom-based tourism in the tourist destinations of Lake Toba, North Sumatera, Indonesia. Local wisdom-based government policies are essential and strategic because they can trigger an increase in the quality of tourism in Lake Toba. Government regulations and policies that show concern for local wisdom for the Lake Toba area in North Sumatera, Indonesia, can support and guide community involvement. The results of this research can help evaluate policy documents at other well-known tourist destinations.

Abstract:
Topicality. The development of domestic tourism is relevant today around the world, and Ukraine is no exception. One of the domestic tourism types for the country can be food tourism, which is still unequally developed within tourist destinations. Aim and tasks to assess the condition of food tourism development in Ukraine and to outline the prospects for its further development on the basis of the European experience. Research results. A promising area of tourist services market development is food tourism - a specialized type of tourism, focused on learning about the history, technology and culture of national dishes and products consumption, as well as training and professional development in cooking. Trends in the modern tourism market show a growing interest among consumers in these types of travel. According to the UNWTO (World Tourism Organization), most tourists mark the food aspect as the main reason for visiting a country, and argue that the gastronomic features of the country are one of the three main reasons in determining the place of tourist travel. Wine tours in Zakarpattia, Odessa, Kherson and Mykolayiv regions are gaining the most popularity in Ukraine among the actively demanded directions of tourist and gastronomic activity. Deep cultural traditions, in particular in food, for which Ukraine is famous, create preconditions for the formation of numerous interesting gastronomic tours for both domestic and foreign tourists. Conclusion. Current trends in the development of food tourism in Ukraine indicate its significant potential and opportunities for professional development, because now this area of tourism is engaged in a limited number of tourism companies; Most trips are organized to Lviv, Zakarpattia and Poltava regions, where there are strong national traditions, the formation of their own gastronomic brands and geographical indications, a strong authentic culture and specific culinary preferences. The combinatorial capabilities of gastronomic tourism, which are actively used in European practice, open its perspectives in the domestic tourism sector, in particular, increasing employment of local people and strengthening the competitiveness of agro-industrial, recreational and agricultural regions and multinational areas of our country.
