Abstract:
Speaking from within a time of economic crisis, It’s a Beautiful Thing, the Destruction of Wor(l)ds investigates how scholarly activities reflect activist identities and the affect of experiencing social change in the Greek crisis. In Dear TINA, we write through and about workplaces: correctional institutions and higher education, and their effects on our ways of knowing. These two performance lectures by Ministry of Untold Stories offer a working through of ontological uncertainty, precarity, and risk. We propose that if scholarship is to offer resistance to “there is no alternative,” then there must be a methodological revolution.

Rehrer, Sarah, Andrew Griffin, and Matthew Renner. Cross country mobility (CCM) modeling using triangulated irregular networks (TIN). Engineer Research and Development Center (U.S.), November 2022. http://dx.doi.org/10.21079/11681/46082.

Full text
Abstract:
Cross country mobility (CCM) models terrain that has insufficient or unavailable infrastructure for crossing. This historically has been done with either hand-drawn and estimated maps or with raster-based terrain analysis, both of which have their own strengths and weaknesses. In this report the authors explore the possibility of using triangulated irregular networks (TINs) as a means of representing terrain characteristics used in CCM and discuss the possibilities of using such networks for routing capabilities in lieu of a traditional road-based network. The factors used to calculate CCM are modified from previous methods to capture a more accurate measurement of terrain characteristics. Using a TIN to store and represent CCM information achieves comparable results to raster cost analysis with the additional benefits of an integrated network useful for visualization and routing and a reduction in the number of related files. Additionally, TINs can in some cases more accurately show the contours of the landscape and reveal feature details or impediments that may be lost within a raster, thus improving the quality of CCM overlays.

Abstract:
Knowledge of the pharmacological differences between opioid and non-opioid TIVA adjuncts is essential for providing safe and effective TIVA. Whilst opioids play a large role in providing the analgesic component of TIVA, non-opioid adjuncts should also be considered. Selected concentrations of TCI infusions should be individualised to the patient, extent of surgery, and other drugs administered. It is essential to calibrate the TCI to the patient’s response at all times. These basic principles reiterate the recommendations from the international guidelines for TIVA administration (31), and remain true regardless of the different agents used.

Abstract:

Abstract:
Review question / Objective: In this study, we conducted a Bayesian network meta-analysis to evaluate the efficacy and safety of interleukin (IL) inhibitors, tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) inhibitors, and Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitors on ankylosing spondylitis (AS).The purpose of this study is to compare the effectiveness and safety of different interventions for treating AS to provide insights into the decision-making in clinicalpractice. Condition being studied: Ankylosing spondylitis. Based on the Bayesian hierarchical model, we conducted a network meta-analysis using the gemtc package in R software (version 4.1.3) and Stata software (version 15.1). Cong Tian and Jianlong Shu contributed to the conception and design of the study and supervised the tweet classification. All authors drafted the manuscript. Wenhui Shao, Zhengxin Zhou, Huayang Guo and Jingang Wang contributed to data management and tweet classification. Cong Tian, Jianlong Shu and Zhengxin Zhou performed the statistical analysis.
