Les recherches relatives au mentorat entrepreneurial sont encore peu nombreuses et une vision intégrée et robuste du processus de mentorat manque. Notre constat est que dans un programme formel de mentorat entrepreneurial la relation est tripartite entre le mentor entrepreneur, le mentoré entrepreneur novice et l’organisation tierce initiatrice du programme. Nous proposons une modélisation du processus de mentorat basée sur une relecture de six des modèles existants dans la littérature, incluant la relation du binôme de mentorat et le rôle joué par l’organisation tierce. Cette modélisation permet de comparer des cas et de juger les fonctions clés du tiers initiateur.

Abstract:
The primary goal of this study is to determine how well the addition of alumina trihydride (ATH) fillers affects the material properties of hybridised polyester nanocomposites using a weaved jute fibre. The manual lay-up approach was used to create the hybrids, using control variables: (i) ATH filler weight ratio, (ii) stitched jute fiber width, and (iii) amount of stitched jute sheets, altogether at tierce dissimilar stages, to fulfil the goals of this study. By using L9 (33) symmetrical layout, 9 samples were constructed and tested in accordance with the ASTM specification. According to the study by Grey, biocomposites with 6% ATH dust and 250 gsm of weaved jute filaments in tierce have such a satisfactory outcome. Inclusion of dietary fibres to pure synthetic materials improved aggregate material properties. Even as fibre as well as pitch meditations raised, greater power was mandatory to fracture the fibres among matrices as well as their reinforcements.

Abstract:
L’importance du rôle de l’immigration dans la croissance démographique exerce une forte influence sur l’évolution des dynamiques linguistiques et du paysage linguistique au Canada. Les derniers recensements canadiens permettent de constater une diversification linguistique dont témoigne la part croissante des langues maternelles et des langues d’usage au foyer tierces (autres que française ou anglaise). On observe une croissance des « situations complexes » dans l’utilisation des langues au foyer : la proportion de la population qui n’utilise que sa langue maternelle à la maison a diminué de 4,5 points de pourcentage entre 2001 et 2016. On constate le fort pouvoir d’attraction de la langue majoritaire, particulièrement dans le cas de l’anglais. La « complexification » du portrait linguistique familial est majoritairement le fait de l’ajout d’une langue officielle, principalement la langue officielle majoritaire. Plus de 80 % des enfants issus de couples de langue maternelle tierce sont exposés sur une base régulière à au moins une langue officielle à la maison.

Abstract:
Le Code de procédure civile écarte expressément, de l’exercice de la tierce-opposition, la « partie » et le « tiers représenté » sans définir ce dernier. L’exclusion de la partie ne pose pas de difficulté, la notion de sa définition peut être trouvée dans le régime de l’appel. En revanche, à la question de savoir qui est « tiers représenté » aucune réponse n’est donnée. Ni la qualité de tiers, ni celle de partie, ne soulève a priori de difficultés, à l’inverse de celle de « tiers représenté ». C’est donc que cette représentation constitue un élément perturbateur des qualifications classiques, en conduisant à la remise en cause de la dichotomie de « tiers » et « partie ». Représentation qui ne produit pas de représentation du représenté (qui reste tiers), il ne s’agirait que d’une étrangeté dont il faudrait s’accommoder au seul motif de sa consécration textuelle. Les auteurs en font d’ailleurs état en mettant l’accent sur sa spécificité, sans autre justification que les dispositions du code et le régime prétorien secrété en la matière, en majeure partie sous l’empire de l’ancien code de procédure civile. Au-delà de la pluralité des cas de figure, ressort la préexistence de cette « représentation » reconnue en droit substantiel, préalablement à tout litige. Il ne saurait être alors question d’une particularité processuelle. L’étude à l’aune du droit processuel de ces décisions permet de détecter la constance de l’absence d’un droit propre du « représenté », soit qu’il n’en a pas, soit que ceux dont il est titulaire n’ont pas été affectés par la décision rendue. Le « représenté » est donc soit un tiers sans intérêt, soit une partie. La représentation ne constitue ici aucunement un critère de rattachement à une catégorie intermédiaire qui serait celle de « tiers représenté ». L’exerçant n’est donc jamais, en définitive, « tiers représenté » qui n’est qu’une description et non une prescription, ni une catégorie de rattachement. Cette représentation n’est d’aucun apport au droit processuel, et l’article 583 alinéa 1er du Code de procédure civile ne fait que consacrer la réception d’un élément exogène perturbateur. Cette disposition pourrait être abrogée, et la« représentation du tiers » tout comme la notion, sinon le concept, de « tiers représenté » qui en procède, être abandonnés
In accordance with article 583 of the Code of Civil Procedure “any person who shows an interest if he was neither a party to nor he is represented in the judgement which he impugns, will be admissible to bring third party proceedings”. The law hereby introduces the notion of a “represented third party”, but fails to define it. Neither party nor third party, the “represented third party” seems to be an incongruity that the jurist should accommodate with solely because of its textual recognition. A procedural law analysis of the judicial decisions regarding third-party proceedings consistently reveals the absence of a direct claim pertaining to the “represented third party”. This leads to the conclusion that the “represented third party” is either a third party who has no claim, or a party. As a matter of fact, the representation of this so-called third party is merely a description, and has no impact on procedural law. It rather is a disturbing exogenous element of no legal consequence. Hence, the concept of a representation of a third party, as well as that of a “represented third party” ought to be withdrawn from the Code of Civil Procedure

Ce mémoire s’intéresse aux collecteurs de fonds de tierce partie que l’on définit comme des individus qui vont entreprendre, seuls ou en équipe, d’amasser des fonds en mobilisant leurs ressources personnelles pour le compte d’un organisme de charité auquel ils ne sont pas affiliés. Nous utilisons des données recueillies auprès de 20 collecteurs de fonds de tierce partie issus de deux organismes de charité québécois pour tenter de comprendre qui sont les collecteurs de fonds de tierce partie. Plus précisément, notre recherche est circonscrite au profil des collecteurs de fonds de tierce partie et à leur action, la collecte de fonds de tierce partie (CFTP). La question de recherche est exploratoire : qui sont les collecteurs de fonds et comment les distinguer entre eux? La méthodologie utilisée pour la collecte et l’analyse des données est une adaptation éprouvée de la théorie ancrée. De notre analyse, une typologie à sept segments a émergé. Chaque segment représente un profil de collecteurs de fonds de tierce partie qui se distingue des autres à l’égard de cinq catégories discriminantes: les motivations, l’action, l’énergie et les besoins. Les sept segments sont représentés par des archétypes : l’altruiste, l’égoïste, la victime, le complice, l’expérimentateur, le capable et l’entrepreneur. La contribution théorique de notre recherche réside dans la proposition d’une typologie des collecteurs de fonds de tierce partie et par un premier effort de modélisation du processus de collecte de fonds. La contribution pratique prend forme avec une section consacrée à l’usage de la typologie spécifiquement destinée aux organismes de charité.

Cette thèse porte sur l'étude d'interactions optiques non linéaires de conversion de fréquences d'ordre 3 faisant intervenir un ensemble de trois photons, qu'ils soient générés ou consommés. Outre les enjeux théoriques, les applications potentielles couvrent le domaine de la communication quantique : le phénomène de dégroupement associé à la consommation de trois photons doit mener à des états de bruit quantique comprimé, alors que la production de triplets de photons permettrait de réels progrès en cryptographie quantique. Faute de réalisation expérimentale adéquate, ces situations n'avaient jusqu'à présent pas été observées. Cette thèse présente une modélisation aboutie des interactions sollicitées, dans le cadre de la théorie classique. Des stratégies expérimentales réalistes sont alors définies et mises en œuvre. La première génération de triplets de photons est obtenue, ouvrant ainsi la voie aux futures études d'optique quantique
This work deals with third-order nonlinear frequency conversion interactions generating or consuming three-photon groups. The motications are theoretical but also practical, with some apllications concerning quantum communication : squeezed states leads to quantul noise reduction, and photon triples generation could be used in quantul cryptography protocols. Nevertheless, no experimental realization have been achieved up to now, and such situations have never been observed. This thesis proposes a complete modelisation of concerned interactions, in the classical theory. Some experimental startegis are then defined and realized. This first genration of photon triples is observed, opening the door to the future quantum optical studies

Comment s'approprie-t-on les règles de métier lors de l'année de stage de titularisation des enseignants débutants ? La conception traditionnelle de l'enseignement donne un rôle crucial aux experts et porte l'attention sur la place des collectifs professionnels dans le développement de l'activité des enseignants en formation. La sociologie a-t-elle à dire ou à redire face à cette approche ? Fruit d'une enquête de terrain sur trois établissements scolaires, nos résultats montrent que la relation dyadique classique, tuteur expert / novice, ne permet pas toujours aux novices de s'approprier les règles de métier. Cette configuration dyadique ne favorise pas le jeu de l'argumentation et de la contre-argumentation permettant via des accords ou des désaccords, l'apprentissage des règles. Ne conviendrait-il pas mieux d'introduire un tiers pour dépasser les freins statutaires qui brident la relation ? C'est ce que nous avons choisi de faire à partir d'une démarche expérimentale qui repose sur la mise en place d'une relation triadique. Le tiers élève le niveau de la contrainte de justification, et les conseils du tuteur ne peuvent plus s'appuyer uniquement sur l'avantage statutaire dont il bénéficiait jusqu'alors. Ce dispositif permet au stagiaire, au risque du conflit, engageant la nécessité d'opération de relativisation et de compromis, d'accéder aux règles enseignées par le tuteur, restées jusque-là inaccessibles
How do the rules are appropriated during the year of preservice teachers? The traditional conception of education gives a crucial role to the experts and focuses on the place of professional collectives in the development of the activity of teachers in training. Does sociology have to say or complain about this approach? The result of our survey based of three schools, show that the classical dyadic relationship expert-tutor / novice does not always allow novices to appropriate the rules of trade. This dyadic configuration does not favor the game of argumentation and counter-argumentation through agreements or disagreements and get difficult the learning of rules. Would not it be better to introduce a third party to overcome the statutory obstacles breaking the relationship. This is what we choose to do from an experimental approach based on the establishment of a triadic relationship. The third party raises the level of the justifying constraint and the tutor's advice can no longer rely solely on the statutory advantage he enjoyed hitherto

Pour thomas d'aquin, l'amour du prochain n'est pas un pur precepte revele sans racines dans la figure naturelle du monde cree. D'abord, thomas represente un ordre statique des natures (i), ou la pre-eminence des creatures intellectuelles, inscrites en tierces natures entre le createur et les autres elements d'un univers cohabite, constitue la preuve de la causalite premiere, manifestee plutot que cachee par l'efficace des causes secondes. Les etres crees a l'image de dieu selon la liberte l'invitent alors a decrire un ordre dynamique des personnes (ii) ou l'ordination au createur repond moins a une necessite de l'essence qu'a l'acte historique de la volonte qui consent a la beatitude eternelle apres en avoir connu l'hypothese : la tierce nature devient ici une tierce personne dans le cadre social d'une libre emulation ou la theologie des anges est capitale. L'histoire de l'homme et de la femme dans le vis-a-vis de l'eden (iii) montre le prochain humain comme cette personne unie a dieu selon l'ame, mais aussi sous les yeux du conjoint, selon le corps, quasi sacramentel. Car dans l'idee thomasienne de l'etat d'innocence, la divinisation de l'homme a pu n'impliquer que les missions invisibles des personnes divines. Abstract This paper describes a distributed architecture that enables the delivery of design services over the Internet. The architecture of an individual service is three-tiered. The first tier is a common communication protocol interface. The middle tier is the common product model interface. The third tier is the core of the design service. Though fundamentally decoupled, methods in the communication layer and the product model layer have been formalized to enable the aggregation of services and the support of problem decomposition. In addition, with the standardization of the first two tiers, it is possible to rapidly deploy various design services, both new and legacy applications, that can be easily made accessible via the Internet. As examples of design services, the prototype implements a project manager service with a companion CAD package, services that incorporate two legacy applications (a building code analysis service and a service that generates and displays an accessible path for a given floor plan design using motion planning and animation techniques), and a disabled access service that takes advantage of the decomposable infrastructure.

Abstract:
Positive Train Controller (PTC) is a communication based system designed to enforce PTC safety objectives for trains such as train-to-train collisions, train derailments, and ensure railroad worker safety. Existing PTC designs consider risks due to operational environment such as location of other trains, switches, and speed limits. We propose to enhance PTC by using a multi-tiered cognitive radio network that considers multiple risks such as those due to bandwidth congestion, packet length limitations, propagation losses, detectable exploitation of Software Defined Radio vulnerabilities, and protocol vulnerabilities. Radios operating at PTC nodes (such as train, WIU and Base station) is equipped with a cognitive layer, which communicates with other nodes to create a cognitive radio network. The proposed network as a whole strives to provide spectrum management and security for the radio communication system, which can enhance the PTC functionality. Each cognitive radio in our proposed network consists of multiple tiers. The upper tier consists of a master cognitive engine that holistically evaluates the operational risks of the network and acts to mitigate them using the lower tiers. The lower tier (immediate slave tier to the master) consists of sub cognitive engines for cryptographic operations and spectrum management. The traditional PTC protocol is implemented at a lower tier module that interface with the master Cognitive Engine (CE). The master-slave communications within one radio is implemented using middleware. The proposed cognitive radio network can be modeled as a cyber-physical system by incorporating train movement dynamics, radio transmission characteristics and cryptographical computations, thereby constituting a distributed system of communicating hybrid automatons. This design enables us to verify safety and the security of the system using formal methods, which constitutes our ongoing work. We also discuss potential issues such as FRA mandated safety cases that needs to be addressed if the proposed features are to be added to the PTC systems.

Early stages of the engineering design process are vital to shaping the final design; each subsequent step builds from the initial concept. Innovation-driven engineering problems require designers to focus heavily on early-stage design generation, with constant application and evaluation of design changes. Strategies to reduce the amount of time and effort designers spend in this phase could improve the efficiency of the design process as a whole. This paper seeks to create and demonstrate a two-tiered design grammar that encodes heuristic strategies to aid in the generation of early solution concepts. Specifically, this two-tiered grammar mimics the combination of heuristic-based strategic actions and parametric modifications employed by human designers. Rules in the higher-tier are abstract and potentially applicable to multiple design problems across a number of fields. These abstract rules are translated into a series of lower-tier rule applications in a spatial design grammar, which are inherently domain-specific. This grammar is implemented within the HSAT agent-based algorithm. Agents iteratively select actions from either the higher-tier or lower-tier. This algorithm is applied to the design of wave energy converters, devices which use the motion of ocean waves to generate electrical power. Comparisons are made between designs generated using only lower-tier rules and those generated using only higher-tier rules.

Federal funding of high speed rail projects is conditioned upon full compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and other federal laws. The Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) often uses tiering to complete the NEPA studies for high-speed rail and other intercity passenger rail projects. Tiering involves two separate rounds of NEPA review. Typically, a Tier 1 study evaluates potential improvements in a lengthy corridor and results in decisions on broad issues such as the need for the project, facility type, and the general location; Tier 2 involves more detailed alignment decisions and development of mitigation measures for individual projects within the corridor. This paper focuses on the use of tiering for high-speed and intercity passenger rail projects. As background for the discussion of tiering, this paper will first discuss: basic NEPA requirements; FRA’s approach to NEPA compliance; and the importance of NEPA compliance in the allocation of competitive grants for high-speed rail projects. The paper will then focus on the issue of tiering. It will describe the legal framework for preparing a tiered NEPA study; how tiering has been used on rail and other non-rail transportation projects; and important issues to consider in developing a tiered study. It will conclude with a list of best practices for developing a tiered NEPA study, focusing in particular on high-speed rail projects.
