Abstract:
The article considers the first experience of interpretation and criticism of the Kantian doctrine of knowledge on the part of neo-scholastic thinkers in 1st half of the 19th century. It is shown that the transition from confessional polemics, which hadn’t philosophical interpretation, to the presentation and analysis of Kantian epistemology in Cesare Baldinotti’s treatise “Tentaminum metaphysicorum” (1817), when scholar takes an understanding of Kantianism as radical skepticism. At the same time, he left unanswered questions about what type of traditional concepts Kantianism refers, and how it can be described in the language of scholasticism. The first problem was solved by the Italian thinker Gaetano Sanseverino, who tried to correlate Kantianism with models traditionally opposed to scholasticism (like averroism). The second problem was solved by Jaime Balmes and Joseph Kleutgen, who outlined the boundaries of the compromise between scholasticism and Kantianism, trying to describe Criticism in terms of Thomism and show possible intersection points between these doctrines. As a result of these efforts, it becomes clear that the mechanical transfer of solutions developed in medieval scholasticism to the problems of modern European philosophy is not a successful polemic strategy. It was necessary to update the scholastic philosophy in a modern European context, which was subsequently carried out by Matteo Liberatore and the Neo-Thomists who followed him.

AbstractIn a recent article Mark Ian Thomas Robson argues that there is a clear contradiction between the view that possible worlds are a part of God's nature and the theologically pivotal, but philosophically neglected, claim that God is perfectly beautiful. In this article I show that Robson's argument depends on several key assumptions that he fails to justify and as such that there is reason to doubt the soundness of his argument. I also demonstrate that if Robson's argument were sound then this would be a problem for all classical theists and not just those who hold the possible worlds view.

Abstract:
This essay is a brief historical review of the concepts of the “double”, the “other”, the “alter ego”. The metaphorical search for identity spreads out through dreams, imagination and creativity. Jean-Paul Richter, Gérard de Nerval, Goethe, Arthur Rimbaud, Thomas Mann, Robert Musil, Rainer Maria Rilke and the french surrealists are some of the authors studied. They contribute to the development of a new conception of the world and of the human being, asserting at each step the power of freedom and action and, at the same time, responsibility, devotion and engagement. Everything implies negation and its double: love and betrayal, ingenuity and grotesqueness, fantasy and pain, sublimity and evil. A universe of echoes and reflections, where one plays with the most secret intimacy. The interior world is a labyrinth and the labyrinth a looking glass.

AbstractThe claim that article four of Thomas Aquinas’s De unione verbi incarnati is a reversal of his consistently held single esse position is challenged in this paper. The article argues that reading all five articles of the De unione as a single-structured argument discloses a single esse understanding of the Incarnate Word. The very nature of the radically hypostatic union between God and man in Christ is at stake in this dispute. According to Thomas, positing a second esse in Christ not only contradicts the tradition, especially of the Christian East, that he appropriates, but it would also compromise the reality of the hypostatic union itself.

Regarding conflict management, the essay offers the viewpoint of urban society. Theories based on Thomas and Kilmann in response to the features of these two components, Thomas and Kilmann offered five conflict management approaches: rivalry, cooperation, compromise, avoidance, and accommodation. In order to be effective at dispute resolution, you'll need a diverse range of skills and attributes. For the classification of conflict management techniques, a two-dimensional taxonomy was developed. When it comes to conflict resolution, there are two aspects to consider: cooperation and assertiveness. Both of these characteristics are defined by a person's attempts to satisfy the needs of others when in the middle of a disagreement.

Abstract:
AbstractIn 1968 Thomas Merton, a Trappist monk, made a journey to the Far East to study Eastern monastic religions. Merton’s contemplative prayer life was enhanced by his literary imagination, which was fueled by the reading of a broad spectrum of novelists and poets. During his trip eastward, Thomas Merton read three Hermann Hesse novels and recorded notes in his journal regarding two of them:Journey to the EastandSteppenwolf. This essay examines Thomas Merton’s enigmatic quotations and observations about the two aforementioned novels within the context of each of the respective volumes. Further clarification of Merton’s notes is rendered through a presentation in parallel fashion of other journal entries and recorded conferences made by the monk primarily during his eastward journey. The discussion ofJourney to the Eastreflects Thomas Merton’s own spiritual quest as he traveled to Asia revealing his attraction to the “feminine mystique” as well as his sharing of both Hesse’s disdain for the herd instinct of illusory communities and his alternative portrayal of enlightened communes seeking aesthetic excellence. As Merton readSteppenwolf, he identified with Harry Haller’s propensity for self-contradiction and a tendency to vacillate between the polarities of holding the bourgeoisie at arm’s length and his eventual compromise with the conventions of the bourgeois society.

Abstract:
Thomas Aquinas sees a sharp metaphysical distinction between artifacts and substances, but does not offer any explicit account of it. We argue that for Aquinas the contribution that an artisan makes to the generation of an artifact compromises the causal responsibility of the form of that artifact for what the artifact is; hence it compromises the metaphysical unity of the artifact to that of an accidental unity. By contrast, the metaphysical unity of a substance is achieved by a process of generation whereby the substantial form is solely responsible for what each part and the whole of a substance are. This, we submit, is where the metaphysical difference between artifacts and substances lies for Aquinas. Here we offer on behalf of Aquinas a novel account of the causal process of generation of substances, in terms of descending forms, and we bring out its explanatory merits by contrasting it to other existing accounts in the literature.

Abstract:
Abstract In this paper, I confront Engelhardt’s views—conceptualized as a cohesive moral perspective grounded in a combination of secular and Christian moral requirements—on two fronts. First, I critique his view of the moral demands of justice within a secular pluralistic society by showing how Thomistic natural law theory provides a content-full theory of human flourishing that is rationally articulable and defensible as a canonical vision of the good, even if it is not universally recognized as such. Second, I defend the principles of Roman Catholic social teaching (RCST) against Engelhardt’s objection that it constitutes a watered-down version of the Christian moral vision which opens the door to intolerable moral compromises. While I acknowledge that Engelhardt’s criticism of RCST is well-grounded in certain abusive compromises that have been made by some Catholic healthcare institutions, I contend that such abuses are not endemic to RCST and avoidance of them is practically feasible in contemporary secular pluralistic societies. My primary aim is to show how continued dialogue between Engelhardtian libertarians and more communitarian-inclined RCST proponents may constructively yield a vision of healthcare allocation that ensures succor for the least advantaged within an authentically Christian social ethic.

Objective To explore the status of college students' interpersonal conflict management modes and interpersonal distress, and analyze the impact of interpersonal conflict management modes on college students' interpersonal distress. Methods 471 college students in Guangdong Province were randomly selected through Internet recruitment. They were investigated with Interpersonal Comprehensive Diagnostic Scale for College Students (ICDS) and Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument (MODE). Results ⑴ The total score of ICDS was (13.49±3.41); The scores of competition, cooperation, compromise, avoidance and accommodation were (7.83±1.40), (6.06±1.58), (6.59±1.37), (5.18±1.25) and (5.67 ±0.94), respectively. (2) There was a significant correlation between the score of each dimension of MODE and the total score of ICDS and the scores of following three dimensions of conversation, making friends and dealing with people (|r| =.175 to .483, all P <. 01). ⑶ The results of multivariate stepwise linear regression showed that competition, avoidance and accommodation were positively correlated with the total score of ICDS(β= . 483, . 461, . 175, all P <. 01), and cooperation and compromise were negatively correlated with the total score of ICDS (β=-.311, -. 298, P <. 01). Conclusion The interpersonal distress of college students is obvious, and their interpersonal communication ability needs to be improved. The interpersonal conflict management mode may be one of the main influencing factors of college students' interpersonal distress.

One of the most significant contributions of the Expedition was a better perception of the geography of the Northwest. Lewis and Clark prepared approximately 140 maps and filled in the main outlines of the previously blank map of the northwestern United States. Robert I. Abstract:
This article examines the scholarly recovery and popular reception of ‘ancient poetry’ in later eighteenth-century England, with a view to elucidating the relationship between cultural primitivism and more overtly politicized discourses of national identity. The publication of the poems of Ossian, in the early 1760s, gave a new prominence to the earliest cultural productions of Celtic antiquity, and inspired the attempts of English literary historians, such as Thomas Percy and Thomas Warton, to provide an alternative ‘Gothic’ genealogy for the English literary imagination. However, both the English reception of Ossian, and the Gothicist scholarship of Percy and Warton, were complicated by the growing strength of English radical patriotism. As popular political discourse assumed an increasingly insular preoccupation with Saxon liberties and ancient constitutional rights, more conservative literary historians found their own attempts to ground English poetic tradition in some form of Gothic inheritance progressively compromised. The persistence of ancient constitutionalism as a divisive element of English political argument thus curtailed the ability of Gothicist literary scholarship to function as an effective vehicle for English cultural patriotism.

Drawing from the experiences of the authors in developing, conducting, and evaluating sport psychology interventions, several considerations are highlighted and recommendations offered for effective psychometric assessment. Using the Test of Performance Strategies (TOPS; Thomas, Murphy, & Hardy, 1999) as a working example, opportunities for bias to undermine a measure’s validity and reliability are discussed with reference to a respondent’s four cognitive processes: (a) comprehension, (b) retrieval, (c) decision-making, and (d) response generation. Further threats to an instrument’s psychometric properties are highlighted in the form of demand characteristics athletes perceive in the environment. With these concerns in mind, several recommendations are made relating to the process of questionnaire administration and how possible compromises to the psychometric soundness of measures used in applied interventions can be minimized.

Abstract:
The article analyzes the most important psychological preconditions of a conflict situation on the basis of which the strategy and tactics of people's behavior in case of differences of their interests are formed. The main psychological models of conflict are presented in the study, which is used to interpret sociotypes that highlight the psychological portrait of the individual in the perspective of modernity. The purpose of the study is to substantiate the causal dysfunctions in the implementation of conflict situations and highlight ideas for avoiding conflict demonstrated by the individual. The study used the Keirsey questionnaire to assess the temperament of participants and K. N. Thomas' methodology to determine their typical ways of responding to a conflict situation, which identified the tendency of sociotypes to rivalry and cooperation, the desire for compromise, conflict avoidance and flexibility in decision making. The article considers a concept of personality types and their interaction in the structure of interpersonal relationships. According to the methodology of D. Keirsey, which is based on the typology of Carl Jung and the theory of information metabolism of A. Kempynsky, there are 16 types of information sharing between individuals. The formation of a sensitive image of a person as an adequate information subject characterizes the problem of defining a person’s personality in a continuous flow of information, communicative perceptions, innovative competencies and different value systems. Having followed the method of K. N. Thomas that is designed to determine the typical ways of individuals’ responds to conflict situations, we determine an inclination of the above mentioned sociotypes to competition and cooperation, as well as desire to compromise and avoid conflicts, and flexibility in decision making. In the framework of the Socionic model, the subjects of information influences make adequate assessment of their potential, find appropriate ways of self-realization, competitively and objectively perceive the abilities of others in order to form a harmonious relationship with them. The problem that arises in a conflict always stands in the way of the implementation of goals, which refer to both the interests and fears of person. Barriers that work against the implementation of needs and interests in a conflict are always associated with communication, since other people’s activities are often perceived as a dissonance of individual and his/her environment. A mixture of contradictions caused by different types of experience and behavior, character traits and other factors of interpersonal interaction provide the basis of conflict. The conceptual importance of personality covers a wide range of internal mental processes that determine the features of human behavior in different situations. The objective conflict management is the only way that leads to positive dynamics in the conflict of interest, with the main criterion being the ability to compromise, based on the understanding that contradictions can give ground to the development that, in its turn, can bring about effective cooperation.

Abstract:

Abstract:
Although scholars regularly take note of Jesus’ anger and violence in some scenes of theInfancy Gospel of Thomas, most attempt to explain them away. Since the text was copied by and circulated among early Christians, they reason, ancient readers must not have found them as shocking and offensive as modern readers. Based on contemporaneous discussions of anger, I argue instead that early Christian audiences would have been equally uncomfortable with stories of a short-tempered and vengeful young Jesus. In fact, I suggest that these stories were likely composed by opponents of Christianity who wished to undermine Jesus’ character and authority by presenting a compromised portrait of his youth. By absorbing critiques of Jesus into their own literature, however, Christian redactors were able to manage embarrassing stories about the boy Jesus and ultimately regain control of his image.

Abstract:
Vice President Thomas R. Marshall has been criticized for not acting more aggressively to exercise presidential powers and duties after President Woodrow Wilson suffered a stroke in October 1919 which compromised his ability to discharge his office for much of the remainder of his term. Yet Marshall faced formidable constraints in the constitutional, political, institutional, and factual context in which he operated. This paper examines these constraints on Marshall's political behavior. His conduct becomes understandable when viewed in the context of those inhibiting factors. The paper also considers the impact of the presidential inability provisions of the subsequently ratified Twenty-Fifth Amendment which renowned Wilson scholar Arthur Link suggested would have made no difference. While questioning the practicality of that counter-factual, the paper argues that the Amendment would have been helpful but suggests that a Wilson-like situation, if one could be imagined in modern times, could present a relatively taxing challenge to our constitutional system.

Abstract:
After experiencing a long-lasting erasure, transgender identities have lately become a core issue in the political and cultural debates of many Western societies (Stryker 2017). For this reason, the present contribution focuses on trans visibility in YA literature between the US and Italy. First, it maps out the evolution of American trans-themed novels and explains how the Italian publishing has reacted to them. Second, it presents two case studies to discuss the main ethical and professional challenges in translating books which feature trans protagonists and gender-neutral language. In the first case study, the paper analyzes the strategies found in the Italian translation of the novel Cemetery Boys (Thomas 2020). Later, it focuses on a book which has not been translated into Italian yet, i.e., Gender Queer (Kobabe 2019a). In doing so, the contribution demonstrates that the translation of these texts implies navigating through innovation and linguistic compromise. In conclusion, it argues that, thanks to translation, teen readers can discover new possibility models, which are vital resources to understand themselves and the complex society they live in.

Abstract:
The research used the Thomas-Kilman Conflict Mode Instrument (TKI) (more specifically, TKI-R, the Russian adaptation by N.V. Grishina) psychodiagnostic procedure to assess the behaviour strategy in conflict situations, as well as the Buss-Durkee Inventory to determine the tendency of subjects to various forms of aggressive behaviour. Statistical processing of the findings was done using the Bravais-Pearson correlation coefficient and Pearson’s criterion. Results. At the first stage of the multipurpose experiment 48 student dispatchers were surveyed, at the second stage the total of 603 subjects were surveyed (students of the Saint Petersburg State University of Civil Aviation and the Institute of Philology, Foreign Languages and Media Communications of the Irkutsk State University), i.e. while emphasizing operator professions in order to improve the validity of the experiment the sample was significantly extended to include, among others, students of the humanities. It was found that the results of the Buss-Durkee Inventory have an inverse correlation with the tendency to an adaptation strategy and direct correlation with the tendency to rivalry and collaboration strategies. According to Pearson’s fitting criterion, there are significant differences in the manifestation of such behaviour styles as rivalry and avoidance between pilot and humanities students, while for the samples of males and females the differences are in the manifestation of such behaviour stiles as rivalry, avoidance and compromise. Females are significantly less inclined to rivalry and somewhat more inclined to avoidance and compromise as compared to males. There are also no observable crucial differences between the intercorrelations of the TKI-R results of the first and second stages of the experiment. The authors’ findings were compared with the published results of the survey of the students of the Tuvan State University and Yaroslavl State Medical University, as well as with the results of surveys of athletes and business owners. Conclusions. By generalizing own findings and those set forth in other authors’ publications, we can conclude that uncooperative behaviour of all tested students is dominated by average manifestation of strategies of competing, collaborating, compromising, avoiding and accommodating, which indicates the ability of the subjects of this age for flexible behaviour in conflict situations subject to the specific conditions of interaction. That means that students, unlike the success-seeking business owners, while prioritizing collaboration and compromise in conflict situations, flexibly use other behaviour strategies. This must be taken into consideration when planning measures aimed at improving the reliability of professional psychological selection in commercial aviation. It appears that in view of the above reasons, the application of the TKI-R procedure in the professional psychological selection of aviation specialists is unviable.

Abstract:
The article discusses the possibility of determining and reducing the level of conflict of the team. The aim of the work is to highlight the appropriate tools and the main directions of reducing the level of conflict of the team. The subject of the study is the behavior of the organization’s employees in a conflict situation, the object is JSC “DOM.RF” it is a Russian organization specializing in the provision of banking services. The study is based on the use of the methods of K. Thomas and R. Kilmann to determine the level of conflict of personality. On its basis had obtained the distribution of employees of one of the structural divisions of the organization according to such styles of behavior in a conflict as confrontation, cooperation, compromise, evasion and adaptation. The obtained results made it possible to propose integral indicators for assessing the level of conflict and team coordination. Their value for the examined organization’s structural subdivision indicates the dominance of employees who shows unconstructive behavioural patterns in conflict situation preventing this situation being solved. Taking to account the specifics of the activities of the examined staff the results are quite acceptable but suggest mandatory prevention of the increase of conflict of the examined team. Among the main directions of reducing the level of conflict of the team is proposed: identifying the level of conflict of employees according to the Thomas- Kilmann methodology, determining the levels of conflict and coordination of the team; using of psychological diagnosis of personality conflict during hiring for a vacant position; conducting psychological trainings for employees of a structural unit or organization as a whole with the aim to manage their behavior in a conflict situation.

Abstract:
Localizing specific proteins within cells, tissues, and organisms has been a goal of microscopists for generations. In the early 1990s, a breakthrough was made when a molecule originally derived from a jellyfish was introduced as a probe for fluorescence microscopy. This molecule is green fluorescent protein (GFP), and it has become well known for its usefulness in localizing proteins at the level of the light microscope. It is also well known that electron microscopy (EM) offers far superior spatial resolution over light microscopy, but the application of probes to localize specific proteins has required antibodies conjugated with colloidal metals (such as gold). Delivery of antibodies into the cell commonly requires detergents to permeabilize the cell membrane, which compromises the ultrastructural detail. Another breakthrough was recently published on-line by Xiaokun Shu, Varda Lev-Ram, Thomas Deerinck, Yingchuan Qi, Ericka Ramko, Michael Davidson, Yishi Jin, Mark Ellisman, and Roger Tsien: they have developed a method similar to using GFP for light microscopy, but for specifically tagging proteins at the EM level.

Abstract:
ABSTRACT Strain energy functions (SEFs) are used to model the hyperelastic behavior of rubberlike materials. In tension, the stress–strain response of these materials often exhibits three characteristics: (i) a decreasing modulus at low strains (<20%), (ii) a constant modulus at intermediate strains, and (iii) an increasing modulus at high strains (>200%). Fitting an SEF that works in each regime is challenging when multiple or nonhomogeneous deformation modes are considered. The difficulty increases with highly filled elastomers because the small strain nonlinearity increases and finite-extensibility occurs at lower strains. One can compromise by fitting an SEF to a limited range of strain, but this is not always appropriate. For example, rubber seals in oilfield packers can exhibit low global strains but high localized strains. The Davies–De–Thomas (DDT) SEF is a good candidate for modeling such materials. Additional improvements will be shown by combining concepts from the DDT and Yeoh SEFs to construct a more versatile SEF. The SEF is implemented with user-defined material subroutines in Abaqus/Standard (UHYPER) and Abaqus/Explicit (VUMAT) for a three-dimensional general strain problem, and an approach to overcome a mathematically indeterminate stress condition in the unstrained state is derived. The complete UHYPER and VUMAT subroutines are also presented.

Abstract:
Thomas Hardy was a very famous and the last important novelist of the Victorian age in England, his novels and poems have a great influence in the literature in 20 century. Tess of the D’Urbervilles is the most influential one among his works. This novel describes a miserable and hard life of one beautiful and pure girl named Tess after being seduced. The article reveals the society environment, the peasant poverty family, the inequality of gender and the false moral value at that time by describing Tess’ life. Tess’ tragic life is caused by many factors and it’s the result of the burden of society. Except this, her own weakness in character cannot be separated from her tragedy, because she obviously has the dual nature — resistance and compromise, which seems like the nature of many women. As a poor peasant girl, Tess once tried to fight with destiny, but she failed. In the end, she turned out to be a murderer and also the victim of society like all other things which disobey the rules at that time. Eventually, she was separated from her lover and hanged. A beautiful and pure girl came to such a miserable life and tragic ending.

Abstract:
Conflicts are an integral part of people’s lives, regardless of their age. This aspect of life evokes many negative connotations. Nevertheless, the advantages of confl icts are now often exposed, providing that they are solved in a constructive way. The adolescent period is a stage of life that undoubtedly favours the frequency and intensity of diffi cult interpersonal situations. Therefore, the researchers decided to analyse which confl ict resolution styles are favoured by youth. The research was conducted in a group of one hundred and twentytwo secondary school students, half of whom were minors. A diagnostic opinion poll was applied. To be precise, it was the Confl ict Mode Instrument of Thomas and Kilmann. From the data obtained it stems that the minors, in comparison to the youth who are not under the supervision of a probation offi cer, are less likely to give up their own needs and interests on behalf of their partner in confl ict. However, equally often, people from the comparison groups solve confl icts by competing, looking for a compromise, using escaping mechanisms as well as cooperating with the confl ict partner. This means that it is worth applying negotiation and mediation as a preventative measure to prevent the escalation of the symptoms of social maladjustment.

Abstract:
This essay explores Thomas More's understanding of the role of the recipient's virtue in activating the full power of Christ's body in the Eucharist in his A Treatise on the Passion of Christe and A Treatise to receive the blessed body of our lorde, sacramentally and virtually bothe. Though passionately committed to the doctrine of the Real Presence, More writes that the body of Christ, while fully present, is not in and of itself entirely sufficient to complete the work of the sacrament if the recipient is not virtuous and receives the sacrament unworthily. An unvirtuous recipient receives only bodily, which is to say not completely — not, in More's terms, virtually. An unvirtuous recipient is not the only means by which the full power of the Eucharist may be compromised. Because the Incarnation and transubstantiation involve transformations of word and bodies into each other, it is not surprising that More's concerns with the sacrament, virtue, and the virtual also involve language. In the Dialogue Concerning Heresy, More strenuously criticizes Tyndale's translation of scripture. This essay also examines the ways in which More's objections to Tyndale's translation understand its destructive power as rooted in linguistic choices that disrupt the crucial nexus of virtue, the virtual, and the corporeal. In More's view, Tyndale's Bible thus deserves immolation along with the heretics themselves.

Abstract:
This article reconstructs Hannah Arendt’s theory of political freedom in the context of her analysis of globality. In a first step it is shown that Arendt builds her theory of political freedom around the core concepts of plurality, action, sovereignty and judgment. This theory arises out of Arendt’s experience and understanding of totalitarianism. This experience also underpins Arendt’s analysis of the ‘global condition’. Having argued in her analysis of totalitarianism that the modern state in the form of the nation-state had become compromised as the space of political freedom since its development in the early nineteenth century, Arendt asks in which alternative space, in the post-totalitarian global age, freedom can be located. In her tentative answer, Arendt develops a political and philosophical understanding of federalism. Going back to Thomas Jefferson’s discussion of ‘elementary republics’, Arendt attempts to combine her notion of participatory citizenship with the idea of confederal structures of ward republics. Reflections upon the conditions of the possibility of the interrelationships between such confederations lead Arendt back to Karl Jasper’s notion of ‘limitless communication’. This notion opens her analysis up to contemporary ‘intercultural’ arguments.

Abstract:

The article analyzes the confictological aspects in labor activities of teachers of additional education. The authors consider peculiarities of conflicts related to labor relations, working conditions. Further education organizations have features that distinguish them from schools and pre-school education institutions. The children's and youth centers are customer-oriented and more responsive to the pupil’s preferences. The study of labor conflicts is therefore relevant to additional education for children. Conflicts in education are well studied in terms of teacher-pupil relations. However, the employment relationship in education has features related to scheduling, feedback, motivation and stimulation. Survey and testing based on the methods of K. Thomas and R. Kilmann, and C. Spielberger (Yu. L. Khanina) and interviews with the staff of the center showed possible sources of conflicts in the process of organizing education in the children and youth center. Pay dissatisfaction, inadequate feedback, and off-schedule activities create internal tensions among employees. Pay dissatisfaction, inadequate feedback, and off-schedule activities create internal tensions among employees. Compromise and adaptation are the prevalent employee tactics. At the same time, some employees have high levels of anxiety. Thus, potential conflict situations develop in the team. Hidden conflicts can help reduce teacher loyalty to the organization. Based on the results of the study, the authors offer some recommendations for the diagnosis and prevention of conflicts in children's centers of further education

The article deals with the problem of primary schoolchildren’s conflict behaviour. The necessity of forming constructive strategies of children's behaviour in conflict through the implementation of the developed programme is shown. The results of ascertaining experiment conducted on a sample of 60 fourth-formers using the following diagnostic tools are presented – the method of Kenneth W. Thomas & Ralph H. Kilmann’s Conflict Mode Instrument (in the adaptation of Natal’ya Grishina), expert assessment of the behaviour of schoolchildren in a conflict situation by pedagogues and parents, a questionnaire for teachers ‟Signs of conflict” by Yelena Lyutova & Galina Monina). The analysis of the data showed that the majority of primary schoolchildren choose non-constructive behavioural strategies (adaptation, competition, avoidance), and also have an increased level of conflict, which indicated the feasibility of developing and implementing a programme for the formation of constructive behavioural strategies of pupils. 15 group sessions were conducted in the form of training using role-playing games, psychohymnastic exercises, mini-lectures, discussions, and situation analysis. The control experiment, as well as the use of mathematical statistics methods, showed the effectiveness of the work done – the presence of changes in the strategies of behaviour in conflict, in particular, pupils more often choose constructive strategies (cooperation and compromise) and less often destructive ones (rivalry and withdrawal), there was a decrease in the level of conflict.

The reflexive aspect of the perception of the subjects of the conflict became the main issue of the presented work. In the framework of the experimental study, the level of reflexivity (A.V.Karpov), the styles of leading behavior (the Thomas-Kilmann Method), as well as the assessment of the personality image (the Petrovsky-Uvarina Scaling Method) were diagnosed. The experiment was carried out using the created installation "Experiment for the Study of Negotiations" (the idea by V.A.Lefebvre, modification by B.I.Khasan).It was shown that the opponent's image significantly changes for respondents with a " low" level of reflexivity. Respondents with a "high" level of reflection are more differentiated in their assessment of the opponent in the conflict interaction. The change in the opponent's image is carried out to a greater extent by the respondents who end the conflict interaction with a compromise. It was revealed that a change in the leading behavior in a conflict is more typical for respondents with "medium" and "high" levels of reflection. A statistically significant positive relationship was determined between the level of reflexivity and a change in the style of behavior in the conflict interaction. The results obtained in the future will make it possible to simulate the process of getting out of the conflict and use the potential of virtual reality to work with conflict situations.

Abstract:
Abstract2014 is the quincentenary of the birth of John Knox and the article is part of an attempt to contextualise him and assess his impact. In the autumn of 1552 Knox preached a ferocious sermon at Windsor in the presence of the young King Edward VI. The sermon threatened to derail the careful compromise of the Second Prayer Book of Edward VI and provoked a sharp reply from Archbishop Thomas Cranmer to the Privy Council. The so-called Black Rubric (arguably produced by Cranmer) which clarified the intention of the posture of the recipient at communion was added to the Second Prayer Book. Though Cranmer's withering response might have been taken to have demolished Knox's peculiar insistence that the Reformed communion should mirror the posture of the disciples at the Last Supper, the issue reappeared a generation later when James VI and I attempted to require recipients to kneel to receive communion in the Articles of Perth of 1618. The Knox–Cranmer dispute had a rerun in the conflicting pamphlets of David Calderwood and John Forbes of Corse. In theological terms, John Forbes has the better arguments, but by that stage aspects of a style and tone of Scottish worship had become customary and prevail to this day. It is those aspects of table fellowship which form Knox's continuing legacy.
