Abstract:
Kata kunci: ideologi, bahasa politik, analisis wacana kritis AbstractThe current study aims at: (1) to explore the ideology conceived in Soekarno’s political language as one of the nation founding fathers and the proclaimer of Indonesia independence, (2) to explore the motivations behind the birth of ideology in the language, and (3) to see the socio-cultural changes as the result of Soekarno’s political ideology. To achieve the research objectives, researcher used Critical Discourse Analysis Theory (CDA) of Fairclough (1989, 1995, 2005, 2006) as the main theory, and the theory of Ideology as a supporting theory. The method applied in data collection was documentation method, while the method applied in data analysis was descriptive qualitative method that applied based on three analysis levels of Fairclough CDA theory. The results show that the ideology contained in Soekarno’s political language is the ideology of ‘unity as an important thing’, the ideology of ‘revolution as an integral part of the Indonesian nation soul’, and the ideology of ‘imperialism as the main enemy of the Indonesia’. The ideology needs to be lived for the sake of Indonesia’s endurance, security and peace. Furthermore, the ideology is based on a plural nation state and the realization that static nature is a barrier to the progress of a nation. The ideology contents have brought changes in the way of communication and the way of Indonesian nation life. Keywords: ideology, political language, critical discourse analysis

Adams, Ian S. "Philosophy, ideology and educational theory." Thesis, Durham University, 1987. http://etheses.dur.ac.uk/6681/.

Full text
Abstract:
This work is concerned with the nature and scope of ideology. It begins with an examination of the relationship between theory and practice in the relatively uncontentious area of education. An analysis of different kinds of educational theory reveals the nature of the most comprehensive form of such theorising to be problematic. It is argued that a solution to this problem depends upon the solution to the wider problem of the nature of political ideology, to which the discussion therefore shifts. Existing theories of political ideology being deemed inadequate, a fresh start is made by showing how this form of theory combines the descriptive and the evaluative in a particular way and with particular logical consequences. These consequences characterise ideology as a peculiar form of ethical understanding, involving a distinctive way of thinking and having a logical structure of its own. However, these characteristics which make ideology distinctive are not inherently political, and the possibility of there being several different forms of ideology is discussed. With these conclusions it becomes possible to return to the problem of comprehensive educational theory and show that it is composed of a number of forms of ideology, some related to political ideology and some not. The work concludes with some reflections upon the extent to which ideology is an inevitable component of all thinking about human affairs.

Stoica, Ruxandra-Iulia. "Ideology of urban conservation." Thesis, University of Edinburgh, 2011. http://hdl.handle.net/1842/9525.

Full text
Abstract:
Although urban heritage has been a research field in the focus of scholars’ attention since the concepts of restoration and rehabilitation of monuments had been extended to entire areas such as historical city centres, before the mid‐twentieth century, architectural studies approached towns only through individual historical monuments, and historical studies only through juridical, political, and religious institutions or economic and social structures. In consequence, urban space as the manifestation of the urban phenomenon in its complexity has been largely ignored by the practice of urban conservation. This thesis aims to be a theoretical approach to the field of urban conservation, revealing its place at the crossing of history, architecture, urbanism, geography, philosophy, and anthropology. The creation of place, its understanding, the meaning that places hold for human identity and the way they shape us in return. The basis of such an enquiry is set by looking at attitudes towards the historic fabric over time and the origins of the notion of ‘urban conservation’ in its European context. The concentration of economic, social and cultural exchanges over long periods of time, which characterises traditional urban cultures, gives the value of historical areas in towns. Therefore, the history of urban development provides a substantial contribution towards the protection, conservation, and restoration policy of historic towns and urban areas as well as towards their development and adaptation to contemporary life. The term ‘integrated conservation’ emerged as a response to these changes in conservation’s relationship to heritage and its context. This broadened image of heritage enables a better understanding of how human activity has shaped the urban fabric and of how conservation can be perceived today as a component of management of urban change. This raises a number of theoretical and methodological issues, which are discussed in detail in this thesis: how do we understand the historic urban areas and how do we elicit their cultural values in order to protect and use these values. This research is therefore concerned with the origin and nature of ideas relevant to urban conservation, rather than with what is commonly regarded as being a prescriptive doctrine in heritage conservation generally, and indeed urban conservation. In reality, this latter view of the theoretical and philosophical body of research in conservation is hindering its theoretical development as a discipline and has an undesired, stalling effect on practice development. This is why this research aims to provide tools for thinking about specific conservation issues, not self‐sufficient theories. The references span a very wide timescale because of the inherent preoccupation of humans with their own inhabiting of the world, which is ultimately the frame in which urban settlements are inscribed.

Valdés, Dal-Ré Fernando. "Theory and Ideology of Debates on Dismissal in Spain." Derecho & Sociedad, 2017. http://repositorio.pucp.edu.pe/index/handle/123456789/118587.

Abstract:
This article analyzes the three major debates that have steadily been following the numerous regulatory changes, as regards dismissal, preceded the recent reform of 2012. They are: the regulation of the principle of causality and contradiction of dismissal which involves the allocation of unfair dismissal statute efficiency, reducing the cost of dismissal as a measure to combat chronic high rate of temporary employment in the Spanish industrial relations system and, finally, the argument of maintaining historical administrative authorization for lay offs of collective character. An examination of these discussions, we try to review schematically the most controversial aspects of that reform, paying particular attention to the matters of regulation and choice of the legislature by the most extreme solutions for dismissal.

Abstract:
The present thesis takes as its subject the relation of theory and praxis, such as presented by Karl Marx during his transitional period, specially in The German ideology. A work in which the author states the most definitive priority of praxis as well as theorys nearperfect impotence, rejecting philosophy and its questions make the demand for an immediate union of theory and praxis, it offers a privileged ground for questions regarding the consequences of affirming said priority of praxis to philosophy, as well as what could possibly be the role for a theory that intends to be at the service of praxis. Thusly, after a few considerations and giving a contextualization of the text, investigation begins by analyzing the notion of praxis developed throughout The German ideology, and in this way arriving at the form of its relation to theory; the main notion for this analysis being what is designated in this paper as the primacy of practice. Afterwards, this primacy itself us unfolded in all its consequences for theory and theorys role, with the results being often the opposite of what was intended. Lastly, two critiques of the German ideologys conceptions, by Cornelius Castoriadis and Theodor Adorno, are presented, by means of which one may illustrate the transitional character of said book and its concepts in the Marxian corpus, as well as how some of its best insights endure both in the authors latter works, and as a call to reflexion for us and our age.

Abstract:
The aim of the article is to concretize the concept of political ideology in the aspect of its matrix structure and in the context of the cognitive-evolutionary approach. Based on Michael Frieden's morphological approach to the analysis of ideological consciousness, the concept of cognitive-ideological matrices is introduced, which allows us to describe the process of transition from proto-ideological to ideological concepts proper, especially at the level of individual consciousness. The identification of the ideological concept as the main “gene” of conceptual variability and inheritance made it possible to describe the main parameters of the evolution of political ideologies and associate it with changes taking place at the individual consciousness level. The described concept was tested in a series of sociological studies of youth consciousness conducted in 2015-2016 and 2018-2020. As a result of the study, it was possible to first identify the “zero level” of ideology, at which the minds of young respondents are potentially open to the influence of diverse and often mutually exclusive ideological orientations, and second, to pinpoint the changes that have occurred in the cognitive ideological matrices of Rostov-on-Don students over the past five years. This study was conducted by scientists from the southern Federal University.

Abstract:
"Theory-building on workplace flexibility is extended, based on a critical Human Resource (HR) systems framework and paradox (conflict) perspective on employee-oriented vs. capacity-oriented flexibility. Differentiated are variabilities in HR practices by: a) content (functional, temporal, spatial, numerical, financial); b) control (employer, employee); and c) creation (top-down, bottom-up). Hybrid types of bottom-up initiated and top-down authorized flexibility, idiosyncratic deals (i-deals), describe mutually beneficial, negotiated agreements on non-standard working conditions between employees and employer. If their real-world manifestations reflect idealized assumptions, however, remains obscure. Integrating institutional logics, HR systems embody values of humanistic ideals vs. neoliberal ideology: (1) individuation vs. individualism; (2) solidarity vs. competition; (3) emancipation vs. instrumentality. Reflecting these antipodes, construed ideal-type and anti-type i-deals facilitate: (a) self-actualization vs. self-reliance (needs vs. interests); (b) common good vs. tournament situations (triple-win vs. winner-take-all); (c) social transformation vs. economic rationalization (development vs. performance). In humanistic management theory, i-deals increase employee-oriented flexibility, but, in reality, risk being co-opted for economic rationalization and divisive labor-political power strategies. Antagonistic applications involve: humanization vs. rationalization goals; egalitarian vs. elitist distribution; relational vs. transactional resources; need-based vs. contribution-based authorization; procedural vs. distributive justice; supplementing vs. substituting collective HR practices. Instrumental adoption in high-performance work environments likely facilitates harmful internalizations as subjectification and self-exploitation."

Abstract:
Atmosphere, atmospheric, or atmotopo attempts to capture a crucial cultural moment that weaves together different schemes of thought with myriad technologies of communication and visualization. The methods of representation are arguably more varied than ever, and with them, design methods cross all kinds of knowledge. But almost none of the elements that constitute the problem of the atmosphere are aligned under the same ideology. Therefore, addressing the atmosphere within architectural thought becomes a pressing issue today. It involves the acceptance of heterogeneities, contradictions, and antagonisms between the different ways that the term is being used. From Fumifugium: or the Inconvenience of Aer and Smoak of London Dissipated, (1661) of John Evelyn´s to the implants of nature (2003) of Olafur Eliasson on weather dispositions (arrangements), nature, ecology, energy, economy, urbanism, and architecture are aligned under the context of the term “atmosphere.” Embracing such differences, “Airscapes” is a collection of seven ideological schemes that frame atmosphere as form in architectural thought. “Airscapes” categorizes significant works of atmospheric activism in theory and practice through an atlas of different underlying structures of thoughts (schemes) of Western culture. “Airscapes” categorizes significant works of atmospheric activism in architecture theory and practice through an atlas of diverse underlying structures of thoughts (schemes) of Western culture. Abstract:
Formation or implementation of high-quality labor is an actual problem of the world economy and always considered in the theory and practice. Labor quality is the realization of increased productivity and performance of the work and responsibilities, also it is known as the main factor of economic growth in economics. Since 1991, the importance of labor quality for development of national economy and macroeconomic stability in Kyrgyzstan is growing and becoming actual in globalization and integration process, financial, informational, scientific and technical cooperation, is requiring researching. This problem studied by academics O. Bogomolov, L. Kudryavtsev, G.Kolodko, T.Koychuev and others. In economics labor defines as a set of three groups of labor skills and abilities of individuals. This group of skills combines the biological, economic and social side of man. Development of labor quality is considered at three levels: low, medium and high quality. In all states, there are complex of integrated structures that seek efficiency in own activity. In the transition period for Kyrgyzstan it is necessary to solve social problems, improve living standards. It’s necessary to abide execution of laws by from the President to the citizen, establish the subordination of society to laws, improve moral of public servants, gain people's trust in government, form up the economic culture, to eliminate the shadow economy and corruption. Economic culture must become an integral part of national ideology.

Abstract:
The Soviet legal system did not assume any division of law into private and public constituents since communist ideology did not recognise anything private as such. The end of the communist experiment and Russia’s transition to democracy, a state governed by the rule of law, a social market economy and respect for human rights logically led to the need to revive private law and its further development, and therefore the idea of dividing law into private law and public law became relevant in legal doctrine. The article contains a brief comparative analysis of Russian and French legal theories in terms of the concerned problem. The methods used are comparative law, legal hermeneutics, the formal legal method and certain elements of cultural and historical analysis. Despite the conventionality of the public-private law dichotomy, its theory is based upon the actual legal reality of the Romano-German family of legal systems; this theory is not just an abstract theorisation, but is feasible. Unlike the French theory, Russian jurisprudence applies an approach suggested by S.S. Alexeev, who points to the conceptual rather than classification-based nature of the dichotomy in the first place, stressing that private law expresses the most important essence of law as a whole and the new trend in its develop ment is to include human rights. Based on this analysis, it is concluded that human rights are the common part that unites public and private law, and therefore their unity is inseparable: prejudice to human rights, as the experience of building communism in Russia (and in other communist countries) showed, inevitably leads first to the destruction of private law, and then to the transformation of public law into a pseudo-legal system.

Abstract:
The described design methodology combines parametric design, data analysis, algorithmic design and semiotics theory to systematically analyze urban reality. The analysis leads to a creation of a nebula of data which corresponds to the place of interest. The nebula of data consists of networks of semiotics spatially defined. Through the proposed methodology, semiotics are used to enhance the perception that we have for a place and create a strategy for its' branding. Space is not approached as an empty container but as a complex system that consists of material and immaterial elements. The characteristics of these elements are quantified by their context and the logics of description to which they correspond. Logics of description are constantly changing following the multiplicity and the expansion of concepts. Therefore, space is constantly redefined following the transformation of the corresponding virtual data. Considering that each framework draws up an ideology following the change of context and the logics of description, a tool (machine) for analyzing written speech is developed, combining data visualization techniques, linguistics and design methodologies to configure logics of description. Written speech is transformed into a series of networks, visualizing their ontological relationships and disregarding the factor of time. A nebula of data corresponding to the mental reality of space is formed. Following a methodological procedure, the nebula of space is transformed to a nebula of place. The nebula of place contains its' key characteristics parametrized. A selection of these characteristics is combined to create the brand of the place concerning its' context and logics of description. The before mentioned methodological tool connects people, spaces, and machines enabling the connection of spatial data to create the impression (brand) of a place.

Abstract:
Integration processes, both on global and on regional levels faced serious barriers. Research of these barriers shows that they are connected with irreversible nature of integration processes. The last 30 years behind some exceptions these processions consisted an essence of economic globalization and regionalization trends. Economic integration was focused on realization of small group of oligarchs and the state bureaucrats’ interests. Such orientation with inevitability brought into an impasse which can be explained as the serious crisis phenomenon. In the report the assessment of influence of interests on economic integration is given. Only national interests can appear as influential socio-economic factor of integration processes development. The fullest implementation of national interests directs integration processes on the way of creation of necessary vital conditions for the vast majority of the population. It is, especially, important for the Euroasian space where labor segments of the population occupy the main part of the population and where inertia of the Soviet system is still felt in the economy sphere. Very important is the question of conceptual bases of the Euroasian economic integration. Latter is based on ideology of neoliberal economic school. Development of integration processes in line with a certain neoliberal theory can lead to structural degradation of economy, to transformation of economy of the countries of EuroSEC in mineral and raw appendage of the developed countries. The same situation possible to see in other economic unions of Asia, Africa and Latin America countries.

Brummel, Lars. Referendums, for Populists Only? Why Populist Parties Favour Referendums and How Other Parties Respond. Association Inter-University Centre Dubrovnik, December 2020. http://dx.doi.org/10.53099/ntkd4302.

Abstract:
Populists are generally known as supporters of referendums and several populist parties have promoted direct democracy in recent years. To deepen our understanding of the populism referendum link, this study analyses how populist parties in Austria, Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands defend a greater use of referendums and how their non-populist counterparts respond to this populist call for referendums. An analysis of election manifestos shows that populist parties justify their referendum support by characterizing referendums as a purely democratic ideal, by presenting it as an alternative to decision-making by ‘bad’ political elites or by promoting referendums as a tool to realise their preferred policy decisions. Populist referendum support is thus related to people-centrism and ant-elitism, as elements of a populist ideology, but also to strategic considerations. These lines of argument are used by both populists on the right and the left, but anti-elitism is particularly prominent in manifestos of radical rightwing populist parties. Populists are not the only supporters of direct democracy – however, there is no evidence that non-populist parties did become more favourable towards referendums to adapt to the populist call for a greater referendum use.

Abstract:
In the decade after the Civil Rights Act of 1964, African Americans made historic gains in accessing employment opportunities in racially integrated workplaces in U.S. business firms and government agencies. In the previous working papers in this series, we have shown that in the 1960s and 1970s, Blacks without college degrees were gaining access to the American middle class by moving into well-paid unionized jobs in capital-intensive mass production industries. At that time, major U.S. companies paid these blue-collar workers middle-class wages, offered stable employment, and provided employees with health and retirement benefits. Of particular importance to Blacks was the opening up to them of unionized semiskilled operative and skilled craft jobs, for which in a number of industries, and particularly those in the automobile and electronic manufacturing sectors, there was strong demand. In addition, by the end of the 1970s, buoyed by affirmative action and the growth of public-service employment, Blacks were experiencing upward mobility through employment in government agencies at local, state, and federal levels as well as in civil-society organizations, largely funded by government, to operate social and community development programs aimed at urban areas where Blacks lived. By the end of the 1970s, there was an emergent blue-collar Black middle class in the United States. Most of these workers had no more than high-school educations but had sufficient earnings and benefits to provide their families with economic security, including realistic expectations that their children would have the opportunity to move up the economic ladder to join the ranks of the college-educated white-collar middle class. That is what had happened for whites in the post-World War II decades, and given the momentum provided by the dominant position of the United States in global manufacturing and the nation’s equal employment opportunity legislation, there was every reason to believe that Blacks would experience intergenerational upward mobility along a similar education-and-employment career path. That did not happen. Overall, the 1980s and 1990s were decades of economic growth in the United States. For the emerging blue-collar Black middle class, however, the experience was of job loss, economic insecurity, and downward mobility. As the twentieth century ended and the twenty-first century began, moreover, it became apparent that this downward spiral was not confined to Blacks. Whites with only high-school educations also saw their blue-collar employment opportunities disappear, accompanied by lower wages, fewer benefits, and less security for those who continued to find employment in these jobs. The distress experienced by white Americans with the decline of the blue-collar middle class follows the downward trajectory that has adversely affected the socioeconomic positions of the much more vulnerable blue-collar Black middle class from the early 1980s. In this paper, we document when, how, and why the unmaking of the blue-collar Black middle class occurred and intergenerational upward mobility of Blacks to the college-educated middle class was stifled. We focus on blue-collar layoffs and manufacturing-plant closings in an important sector for Black employment, the automobile industry from the early 1980s. We then document the adverse impact on Blacks that has occurred in government-sector employment in a financialized economy in which the dominant ideology is that concentration of income among the richest households promotes productive investment, with government spending only impeding that objective. Reduction of taxes primarily on the wealthy and the corporate sector, the ascendancy of political and economic beliefs that celebrate the efficiency and dynamism of “free market” business enterprise, and the denigration of the idea that government can solve social problems all combined to shrink government budgets, diminish regulatory enforcement, and scuttle initiatives that previously provided greater opportunity for African Americans in the government and civil-society sectors.
