Abstract:
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to examine factors influencing service quality of the property managers to the occupiers of shopping complexes in Ibadan, Nigeria. This was with a view to providing information that could enhance property management practice. Design/methodology/approach Primary data were used for the study. The study area was stratified into five axes using major roads where shopping complexes were highly concentrated. Systematic sampling technique was used to select 139 out of 276 shopping complexes in the study area. The data obtained were analyzed using mean ranking and principal component analysis. Findings The study found that ineffective employee’s compensation, high employee turnover, lack of continuous improvement culture, inadequate use of employee empowerment, inadequate staff, lack of teamwork, inability to see tenants as customer, lack of motivation, education and training of the property managers and poor planning among others were the most significant factors influencing service quality of the property managers using mean ranking. The study further found that professional and empowerment factor, teamwork and motivation factor, customer related factor, work volume and operation factor, skills and job satisfaction factor, top-management commitment factor, experience and communication factor as well as financial factor were the factors influencing service quality of the property managers using principal component analysis. Practical implications This study will aid the property managers of shopping complexes in identifying areas which needed to be improved upon in order to provide quality service to occupiers thereby enhancing tenant retention and loyalty. Originality/value Previous studies on factors influencing service quality have been focusing on hospitality, healthcare, real estate agency and library industries. This study is one of the very few studies that examined factors influencing service quality of property managers of shopping complex. Also, the paper underlines the need for property managers of shopping complexes to give required attention to factors influencing service quality for enhanced property management practice.

Abstract:
Development of thermoelectrics usually involves trial-and-error investigations, including time-consuming synthesis and measurements. Here, we identify the electronic quality factor BE for determining the maximum thermoelectric power factor, which can be conveniently estimated by a single measurement of Seebeck coefficient and electrical conductivity of only one sample, not necessarily optimized, at an arbitrary temperature. We demonstrate that thousands of experimental measurements in dozens of materials can all be described by a universal curve and a single material parameter BE for each class of materials. Furthermore, any deviation in BE with temperature or doping indicated new effects such as band convergence or additional scattering. This makes BE a powerful tool for evaluating and guiding the development of thermoelectrics. We demonstrate the power of BE to show both p-type GeTe alloys and n-type Mg3SbBi alloys as highly competitive materials, at near room temperature, to state-of-the-art Bi2Te3 alloys used in nearly all commercial applications.

Abstract:
An attempt is made in this study to analyze the factors affecting the Quality of Life (QoL). It is difficult to measure the Quality of Life (QoL); hence Human Development Index (HDI) was used as the measure for QoL. Different factors such as standard of living, education, GDP, Gross Capital formations, Urbanizations and Physicians were examined that how these programs, in turn, influenced QoL. Data was collected from World Bank (2019) and UNDP (2019) and examined for 71 United Nations member countries over the period 1990-2019. The results obtained from cross-sectional and panel data approaches suggest that the indicators used in the study significantly enhance the quality of life. The study offers important policy implications.

Abstract:
Based on observations and the results of the analysis, it was shown that Taman Indonesia Kaya already fulfilled the quality park standards. In the aspect of needs, the comfort factor has been fulfilled by the presence of park benches and garden lights in good condition, the cleanliness factor has been fulfilled by the existence of a trash with a sorting system, public toilets and disabled toilets in a clean condition, health factors have been fulfilled with the presence of acid trees, pandanus leaves and canna flowers, and safety factors have been fulfilled with the availability of a monitor bench gazebo and lighting lamps that function optimally. In the aspect of rights, the accessibility factor has been fulfilled, because of its strategic location and is in the city centre and traversed by the Trans Semarang route, the freedom of activity factor have been fulfilled by the existence of a fountain garden, cultural stage and green space, and the diversity of activity factors have been fulfilled by the existence of the Pandawa park , mural gates, fountain shows, cultural arts performances, and various paintings. In the meanings aspect, the place clarity factor is indicated by the presence of information boards and signage that are scattered in the corner of the park, and the sociability factor have been fulfilled by the many of spaces in the park area that can be used for socializing, such as: paving fields, sidewalks, green spaces , and the cultural stage.

Abstract:
This paper reports the results of a study on service quality in a business school. We examine the concept of service quality with data collected from 205 executive students. The resulis obtained from applying exploratory factor analysis to our data suggest that the theoretical factor structure consisting offive factors could not be empirically replicated. The empirical factor structure consists of four factors (tangibles, faculty, administration, and reliability-empathy) being reliability-empathy the most important dimension for professional students. Confirmatory factor analysis results provide strong support for the four-dimensional structure of service quality in a business school setting.

Abstract:
Investments in Brazil are increasingly allocated to the stock market, at the expense of more conservative investments. Would finding higher-quality assets allow investors to increase their risk-return ratio? We analyze quality with several metrics, including the quality-minus-junk (QMJ) factor for Brazil. We find that quality companies are valued more by investors, with a higher price-to-book ratio. A portfolio of shares of higher quality shows a significant positive return over the period analyzed, adjusted for several risk factors. The sample members classified as quality companies remained within this classification over time.

Abstract:
The definition of the quality factor of the tribosystem has been further developed, which, unlike the known one, takes into account not only the geometric dimensions of the tribosystem, thermal diffusivity of triboelement materials, lubricating medium and deformation propagation rate in the surface layers of the material, but also the function of changing the rheological properties of the surface layers of materials during running-in and their increase during running-in. Theoretical studies have established that three parameters have the maximum effect on the quality factor: sliding speed, roughness of friction surfaces and lubricating medium. Experimental studies have established the relationship between the value of the quality factor, wear rate and coefficient of friction during steady-state operation of tribosystems. It has been shown that an increase in the figure of quality factor reduces the above parameters, and the criterion itself Qmax is a measure of the potential of the tribosystem adapt to the operating conditions.

Abstract:
Classroom interactions between students and teachers form a two-way or dyadic network. Measurements such as days absent, test scores, student ratings, or student grades can indicate the “quality” of the interaction. Together with the underlying bipartite graph, these values create a valued student–teacher dyadic interaction network. To study the broad structure of these values, we propose using interaction factor analysis (IFA), a recently developed statistical technique that can be used to investigate the hidden factors underlying the quality of student–teacher interactions. Our empirical study indicates there are latent teacher (i.e., teaching style) and student (i.e., preference for teaching style) types that influence the quality of interactions. Students and teachers of the same type tend to have more positive interactions, and those of differing types tend to have more negative interactions. IFA has the advantage of traditional factor analysis in that the types are not presupposed; instead, the types are identified by IFA and can be interpreted in post hoc analysis. Whereas traditional factor analysis requires one to observe all interactions, IFA performs well even when only a small fraction of potential interactions are actually observed.
