Abstract:
The paper describes the construction of a new religious motivation questionnaire. The construction was proceeded by an analysis which revealed that the existing instruments for assessing religious motivation have deficiencies and, most importantly, may not be suitable for use with persons in adolescence or younger. In the first phase of the questionnaire construction, a semi-structured interview was used on a sample of 111 respondents aged 10-25 from Belgrade. The interview findings suggested the presence of religious motivation dimensions which are not contained in the existing instruments. In the second phase, an initial pool of items, formulated based on interview answers, was administered to a sample of 354 secondary school and university students from Belgrade. Principal component analysis revealed five dimensions of religious motivation measured by the constructed questionnaire: religion as ultimate value; religion as a means of wish-fulfillment; religion as a source of emotional well-being; ideals and morality; religion as a part of tradition; and tendency to meet social expectations regarding religion. The questionnaire scales show excellent reliability.

Abstract:
Although questionnaires are widely used in construction management studies, designing the instrument has proven to be a difficult task among research students. This article explored the process of developing and testing questionnaires for construction management studies focusing on managing risks in Public Private Partnership (PPP) housing projects. The processes of developing questionnaire were grouped into four stages consisting of the background, conceptualization, design and instrument testing and administration. Using the processes identified, a flowchart indicating step-by-step stages for developing questionnaires was designed. Results of validity and reliability tests conducted on certain aspects of the questionnaire indicated that the instrument can be relied upon to generate acceptable data for scientific research. The main contribution of this paper is expanding the scope and simplifying the design of questionnaire among upcoming researchers in the field of construction management. This study recommends the design for students undertaking construction management related studies.

Abstract:
This study presents a construction and psychometric evaluation of the Religious Identity Status Questionnaire ? RISQ for the assessment of the religious identity status according to Marcia?s ego identity status approach. The initial item pool was generated based on Erikson?s theory of psychosocial development, Marcia?s ego identity status approach and interviews with adolescents and young adults. A factor analysis of the initial item pool was performed on data obtained from a sample of 394 secondary school and university students from Serbia to select items for the questionnaire. Validity of the questionnaire was examined on a sample of 1155 subjects. The results of the CFA suggest that subscales of the RISQ measure four factors corresponding to the identity statuses of Marcia?s model. Correlations with ideological identity subscales of the EOM?EIS?2 suggest the convergent validity of the questionnaire. Configural measurement invariance was established for gender and denominational groups. Metric invariance was established for gender and among orthodox and catholic participants, whereas scalar invariance was established for gender, but not for denominational groups.

Abstract:
Quality management systems are being operated in almost all sectors for products and services in the present time. In the construction sector quality control and quality assurance are of great concern for the construction project managers as the poor quality of construction results in early defects and failure of the structure this lowers the reputation of the company and leads to heavy repair costs. Further extra expenditure in achieving quality control and quality assurance is compensated by the advantages gained in the form of less maintenance, better quality and effective utilization of construction resources. There are many problems in applying the quality management effectively in construction due to its typical nature. There is a need to evaluate the effectiveness of quality management system (QMS) in construction projects. In the present work an effort is made to assess the quality management and quality assurance practices awareness and implementation among the construction personnel involved in building construction. A questionnaire containing questions related to quality control and quality assurance aspects of building construction is prepared and send to the construction personnel in Gwalior and nearby cities of Madhya Pradesh, India.

Abstract:
The quality of life (QOL) of the Chinese ‘floating’ migrant population is of growing concern. Urban construction workers are the main migrant population in China, but there is little published research on their QOL. The reliability and validity of the 36-Item Short Form Health Survey (SF-36) questionnaire were assessed by conducting a population-based study of migrant construction workers in Shenyang, China. Two construction sites were randomly selected from each of the five districts of Shenyang City and 1200 copies of the questionnaire were distributed to rurally-registered, non-Shenyang workers aged ≥ 16 years at these sites. A total of 1125 questionnaires were evaluated. The overall Cronbach's a coefficient of the SF-36 questionnaire was 0.821 while the respective Cronbach's α coefficient for each dimension was > 0.70. Results showed that the SF-36 questionnaire demonstrated good reliability and validity, and that it can be used to measure QOL among Chinese migrant urban construction workers.

Abstract:
Construction delay is a common problem costing the industry billions of dollars every year. The first step to reduce this unnecessary loss is to identify the major delay factors. More than 200 studies on major construction delays have been reported using self-administered questionnaire surveys of views of project participants. The present approach adopted is reviewed by a case study of Egypt. Thirty-two delay factors were identified as major construction delay factors. A thorough review of these eight studies revealed many shortcomings in the present approach. A structured approach is proposed for questionnaire survey to study major construction delay factors.

Abstract:
The goal of the present research was to develop a model of work meaning, consisting of five orientations: job (financial compensation), career (advancement and influence), calling (prosocial duty), social embeddedness (belongingness), and busyness (filling idle time with activities). Two versions of the Work Orientation Questionnaire (WOQ), which measures these five orientations, were developed—for young adults and for working adults. Study 1 describes the development of the WOQ and psychometric properties for young adults. Exploratory ( N = 200) and confirmatory ( N = 447) factor analyses supported a five-factor solution, and the five scales, which correspond to the five orientations, had adequate internal consistency reliabilities (median = .81). The divergent validity of the WOQ was supported, as shown by the negligible associations of the five orientations with the 12 scales of the Career Decision-Making Profiles questionnaire. In Study 2, the analyses of the responses of 506 employed adults also supported the five-dimensional structure, and four of the WOQ scales were associated with work satisfaction ( R 2 = .33). Implications for research and practice are discussed along with future research directions.

The US Food and Drug Administration's procedure for scale validation requires a documented stepwise process of qualitative and quantitative data. The aim of this paper is to provide final quantitative validating data for the Severe Asthma Questionnaire (SAQ).The SAQ, Asthma Control Test, Mini Asthma Quality of Life Questionnaire and EQ-5D-5L were completed by 160 patients attending a severe asthma clinic; 51 patients completed the SAQ on two occasions for test–retest reliability analysis. The SAQ produces two scores, a SAQ score based on the average of 16 items and a SAQ-global score from a single 100-point global quality of life scale.Construct validity was demonstrated by factor analysis of the 16 items, convergent validity by correlations of >0.6 between the SAQ, SAQ-global and other questionnaires, and discriminant validity by the ability of the SAQ and SAQ-global to distinguish between different treatment levels. Test–retest reliability (intra-class correlation) was 0.93 for the SAQ and 0.93 for the SAQ-global, and the alpha coefficient for the SAQ was 0.93.The SAQ was developed using recommended qualitative and quantitative procedures for scale development, and can be used to gain insight into patients’ perceptions of how severe asthma and its treatment affects their lives.
