This research has as its starting point the Ofício of the Baianas de Acarajé his title of Cultural Heritage of Brazil received in 2004. The central focus is to understand the baianas de acarajé as historical subjects that articulate different ways to value their office beyond institutional valuation. Therefore, we present two institutions that represent the baianas de acarajé : the Federação Nacional de Culto-Afro Brasileiro (FENACAB), to a lesser extent, and the Associação das Baianas de Acarajé Mingau, Receptivos e Similares in the State of Bahia ( ABAM ), the latter more active . Through the methodology of participant observation fieldwork was conducted primarily in the city of Salvador. The objective is to present and discuss the construction of narratives of baiana de acarajé based on the development of the arguments justifying the office as a cultural reference. Understand the office as a black african - heritage linked to Brazilian religiosity.

Full textThis study aimed to investigate the main teaching and learning of football practices for children and young people in some districts of the East Zone of São Paulo. I followed the instruction, drills and games related to the CDM Cidade Líder football school, as well as other activities conducted in that area, especially the amateur football games in the weekends. From the observation of the relationships built between the various actors (children, young people, amateur players, parents and mothers, scouts, agents and others), I could identify different aspects of teaching and learning of football, which appear in the pleadings ethnography: working, body, Dom, screens, masculinity, pedagogical models, professionalism etc. If, on the one hand, I watched the process of teaching and learning football between students, parents and teachers, on the other hand, I understood that, concurrent to education, the idea of training young players was also developed. This question made me think of extending the search to a new space. Marked, initially, for observation in the Cidade Líder district in East Sao Paulo, the search later won a range of actors, experiences, histories and situations, which made me look at the networks of relationships between different actors. To this end, a specific football network was plotted, among many others that are possible, which begins in the neighborhood of Guaianases, also in the East, aiming to investigate the diversity of situations, actors and issues connected to the process of training young football players. Thus, issues such as sieves, business, patronage, local politics and amateur football appear interwoven and are crucial in the training of players. Through this network, I researched actors and practices that are in a position of invisibility when seen only by means of dichotomous classifications: game/sport, amateurism/professionalism and everyday/ritual. It is therefore an effort to research some of the many structural changes in world of football, in the professional and in the everyday forms that turn up in urban spaces.

The area of research of this dissertation is the semantic of natural languages, on a formalist approach of truth conditions, and it aims a semantic aspect to lexical item ainda. At first, the hypothesis, based on Ilari (1987) and Mendes de Souza et al (2007) was that the temporal ainda would be a negative polarity item; idea which corroborates to the English language's studies of Israel (1996) and Ladusaw (2002, [1980]), whom have considered the yet a negative polarity item. At first, however, we distinguished and classified the uses ainda, in temporal, discursive and conjunctive, focusing on the temporal one. Then, we have concluded that the contra-expectation appears in all of them. Tests with varied aktionsart, in different verbal tenses, showed that 'ainda' does not occur only through temporal interpretation in perfective contexts; because of this, the initial hypotheses was dismissed, and the restriction would seem to be the imperfective contexts. But, we perceive that the temporal reading in perfective contexts reappears with the addition of time adjuncts, following the theoretical discussion based on the moment of event, moment of reference and moment of speech from Reichenbach (1947 apud Ilari, 1997). For the semantic analysis we use the texts of Löbner (1989; 1999) and Auwera (1993) which investigate the Germanic terms 'noch' (still) e 'schon' (already); both authors discuss the hypothesis of duality. When we moved the data to the PB, we assumed the Löbner's idea, which says that ainda triggers a presupposition of a positive previous state to te (moment of event), and contributes for the truth conditions, because it adds the necessity of change. Finally, we showed that the different expectations, which we named contra-expectations, are implication.

Full textThis work presents numerical simulations of an open asymmetric TEM cell in order to optimize its performance. Among the optimizations, the use of resistive slots to increase the bandwidth of the TEM cell is investigated. Furthermore, the transition between the coaxial connector and the TEM cell is also optimized. Measurements of this optimized transition were performed in laboratory validating the simulations. A prototype TEM cell was built and its return loss was verified to be above 10 dB over its entire band of operation (30 MHz 3 GHz).
