Abstract:
Traditional education, particularly at a university level is not necessarily very engaging. Educational escape rooms are a recent game based learning approach which combines team based problem solving with a story-line and cryptic clues. In this paper, we apply the concept of educational escape rooms to the telecommunications engineering classroom by creating a series of two separate scenarios, each containing three puzzles. Our evaluation is based on survey results from telecommunication experts which suggest that this will be an engaging and challenging tool for teaching telecommunications engineering. Although educational escape rooms are rapidly being deployed in education, these are the first educational escape rooms that specifically addresses the field of telecommunications engineering.

Abstract:
The turn of the 21st century saw Nigeria liberalize its telecommunications sector with the deregulation of the industry, and the introduction of the Global System for Mobile communications (GSM) network platforms in the country. This move had an immediate positive socio-economic impact. Sectors like information technology, banking and finance, online trade, sporting, education, entertainment, security, and healthcare have significantly improved over the years. So far, tens of millions of direct employments have been directly provided via the platform. Furthermore, the country’s GDP attributable to telecommunication has constantly increased since the deregulation of the telecommunication industry. The paradigm shift has since seen the industry grow at a pace faster than most established networks in the world. However, several demerits have also stemmed from this advancement such as cyber-crime, cyber-bullying, blackmailing, and reduced productivity attributed to social media distractions. Even with the apparent progress, it can be concluded that the telecommunication sector is still quite underexploited in Nigeria. The lack of basic infrastructures like constant electricity and accessible road networks across several parts of the country, and the harsh economic policies have severely limited the potential for heightened economic productivity.

Teledentistry is about delivering data from one point (spoke site) to another point (hub site) using telecommunications technology. Teledentistry is a relatively new field that combines telecommunication technology and dental care. It provides new opportunities for education and delivery of care that offers much potential and challenges. Teledentistry is also useful in long-distance clinical training and continuing education, screening, and dentist laboratory communication. In rural areas, where there is a shortage of specialists, lack of comprehensive and sophisticated health-care teledentistry can extend care to remote patient populations at a reasonable cost as well as ease the problem of a shortage of specialized dental consultants.

Abstract:
The post-COVID era has catalysed a transformative phase in the telecommunication sector, with dramatic shifts in both consumer behaviour and enterprise needs. This study offers a synthesized review of investment trends in telecommunications following the pandemic, detailing their implications on infrastructure development. The initial pandemic response saw an exponential rise in the demand for robust connectivity, necessitating rapid infrastructural adjustments to cater to remote work, online education, and digital healthcare. This paper identifies significant post-COVID investment trends in telecommunications, which include an augmented drive for broadband and fibre-optic expansion, an accelerated rollout of 5G networks, heightened investments in cloud services and data centres, and a notable surge in mergers and acquisitions. This investment influx has palpably advanced infrastructure development rates, with a focus on enhancing capacity, speed, reliability, and geographical reach. However, the ramifications of this swift expansion are multifaceted. On the socio-economic front, there has been substantial job creation, technology democratization, and improved accessibility, especially in historically underserved areas. In parallel, the environmental footprint of this growth is also scrutinized, shedding light on increased energy consumption, challenges in electronic waste management, and resource utilization. From a business perspective, while there's enhanced market competition and improved service quality, companies also grapple with new challenges in customer retention, experience management, and competitive differentiation. Furthermore, this paper elucidates evolving policy landscapes, marked by modified telecom regulations, incentivization strategies, and measures to ensure equitable access. In conclusion, the post-pandemic telecommunication investment trends have undeniably fast-tracked infrastructure development, but with nuanced implications for society, environment, business, and policy. The forward trajectory, though promising, requires a harmonized effort from stakeholders to ensure sustainable and inclusive growth. This publication outlines the rationale of the corporate social responsibility program (CSR) and employer engagement to improve career readiness for society in related demographics. The self- sustained corporate social responsibility (CSR) program explores a variety of industry partnerships possible and appropriate approaches to reduce the education gap through the digital strategy and cost-effective methods. A majority of the leading industry players including technology based companies in telecommunication play a vital role not only to provide sufficient telecommunication infrastructure but foster a dynamic ecosystem for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education using the quadruple helix support system methods. This engagement of education based on CSR is twofold. First, a technology-based corporation program is to create a platform on reducing the digital education gap or literacy. Education CSR program served as enrichment medium on digital communication provided to rural areas in Malaysia. Second is a remarkable social impact observed in self-sustained and diversified education program models through the industry CSR approach.

Abstract:
The technological landscape in relation to the minors presents numerous challenges facing the telecommunication industry, with families and schools. However, academic literature still remains silence in showing the strategic policies that the industry is managing in order to address these challenges. Therefore, this article has two aims: to provide an overview of the state of the art in order to present the main findings of the child protection policies in international telecom companies (17), stressing the analysis regarding their products and services and how do they manage the collaboration with key stakeholders. Research was conducted using qualitative methodology: CSR reports and websites of the companies were analysed in order to define what are their strategic actions, as well as the individuals and institutions that collaborate with. The findings show interesting insights, even with some differences by regions, among the most significant policies pursued by the sector are: self-regulation, product innovation regarding protection tools and a network of collaborations with stakeholders have been established, as an opportunity for facilitating new policies and strategies. In conclusion, telecom industry needs to integrate their policies regarding minor protection, promoting an integral management approach that comprises not only product development but also strengthen relationships with the main stakeholders as parents and institutions.

Abstract:
Scholars have posed different hypotheses on the impact of global telecommunications on value orientations. We analyze and characterize the global telecommunication network and test a series of hypotheses on the relationship between gender values and three types of telephone connections: ties with the global society, ties with Western nations, and ties within groups of nations sharing similar cultural, religious, political, or geographical traits. We use multilevel models and data on two levels, between-country telecommunications network data from TeleGeography, and individual-level data ( N = 70,225) on people living in 47 countries from the World Value Survey, waves III and IV. Countries with high degrees of communication insulation, measured as a high percentage of within-group ties of all global telephone links, hold less egalitarian attitudes toward gender equality. This negative effect of group insulation depresses the egalitarian effects of younger birth cohort, college education, and higher income. Embeddedness in a localized information diffusion network and isolated from global communication is associated with less egalitarian attitude toward gender equality. But neither global ties nor ties with Western countries are linked with gender attitudes.

Abstract:
(1) Background: Various investigations have confirmed that burnout prevails in intensive and demanding contemporary working environments. Most of these studies have analyzed the associations between emotional exhaustion and various work factors. We studied the gap in the literature by simultaneously considering the three commonly recognized dimensions of burnout (emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and reduced personal accomplishment) using a representative sample of telecommunication sales managers. (2) Methods: 849 survey respondents completed an anonymous questionnaire that included items representing psychosocial factors at work, lifestyle characteristics, and the Maslach Burnout inventory. The hierarchical regression analysis revealed the predictors of emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and reduced personal accomplishment. (3) Results: job demands and witnessing bullying at the workplace were the most powerful predictors of emotional exhaustion, followed by self-rated health, night work, education, and physical inactivity. Witnessing bullying at the workplace, job control, self-rated health, and physical inactivity were the strongest predictors of depersonalization. Finally, direct experiences of negative acts at the workplace, job control, social support at work, bullying exposure duration, family crises, physical inactivity, smoking and alcohol, and body mass index were the most important predictors of reduced personal accomplishments. (4) Conclusions: the present study fills a gap in the research surrounding the three dimensions of burnout. The findings not only confirm that high job demands, low job control, and low social support at work contribute to burnout but also contribute to the novel understanding that workplace bullying plays an integral role.

Abstract:
This research focuses on the effects of switching barriers and satisfaction of customer on customer loyalty in Kingdom of Bahrain's telecommunication subscribers. For this study, a number of evidences processing techniques and instruments were used and carried out by performing a customer loyalty inquiry, a subscriber activity for the three telecommunications services companies in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The research aimed at estimating the effect of cost required to enter, interpersonal relationship, loss cost and competitiveness of substitutes such as changing barriers as well as consumer satisfaction on the retention of customers in the telecommunications services of the Kingdom of Bahrain. A study performed the efficacy of removing barriers and consumer satisfaction on customer engagement, by means of the questionnaire as the records collection mechanism. The applicants of the research study are subscribers of Batelco, Stc and Zain telecom companies in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The statistical instruments used for the study are multiple regression analysis and the Likert scale used for quantitative research to get first hand data. The study reveals that changing barriers such as cost of moving in and cost of interpersonal relationships influence customer loyalty, while attractiveness of alternative and risk of losses does not influence customer loyalty either. The study finds customer-satisfaction affects customer loyalty at the other hand. The report presents the researcher's guidelines for evaluating certain issues around the impact of switching barriers in the telecommunications sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain. This is also proposed that in the future the relationship between breaking barriers and consumer loyalty is to be carried out in all kinds of loyalty classes. Adding more variables in this research, the researchers can make deep study in the same area.
