Tegneserier er en semiotisk udfordring, fordi de fortæller historier i en kombination af billeder og tekst. Forståelsen af tegneserier involverer derfor såvel narrative som visuelle og lingvistiske koder i kombinationer, der markerer tegneseriens æstetiske egenart. Der er dog kun i begræn- set omfang udviklet en terminologi, der kan anvendes til definitionen af tegneseriens særlige tegn og tegnkombinationer. I denne artikel giver Romá Gubern en definition på tegneserien, hvorefter han med et semio- tisk udgangspunkt gennemgår de særtræk, der karakteriserer tegne- serien, og foreslår en tegneseriens terminologi.

Abstract:

AbstractResearch carried out over the last 40 years has underlined the scientific importance of the rocky outcrops scattered on the Northern Adriatic Sea bed sometimes referred to as “tegnúe”. The zoobenthic biocenoses developing over these peculiar geological formations are as extraordinary as they are unique. A study carried out for an entire year in two sampling stations, at different distances from the coast, revealed a very high number of zoobenthic species, including those which have now become rare and are therefore protected in Italian seas. The water turbidity of the northern Adriatic Sea greatly reduces the quantity of light reaching these outcrops, limiting the activity of autotrophic organisms only to sciaphilous genera. Thus, the most represented trophic categories of zoobenthos are suspension, especially filter feeders. Biodiversity values calculated for the communities of these particular reefs are far higher than normally found in the soft seabed in nearby areas, but even higher than in other coralligenous outcrops in other marine ecosystem in the world. The ecological role played by the tegnúe in the Northern Adriatic is extraordinary because as well as being true oases of biodiversity, they are areas naturally protected against bottom trawl-fishing. Thus, they offer shelter and reproduction sites for a number of fish and invertebrate species, including some under stress due to severe fishing pressure.

Artiklen argumenterer for nødvendigheden af at acceptere nye forståelsesformer ved overgangen fra industrisamfund til kommunikationssamfund. Gamle dogmer, som bygger på en re lativt overskuelig, stabil og kontrollerbar verden, kommer til kort i globaliseringens hyperkomplekse verdensbillede. Mennesker, der er opvokset med realitetstestning i forhold til dualismens opsplittede opfattelser, må arbejde sig igennem dilemmaet mellem det gamle og det nye for at kunne acceptere og integrere nye tænke- og handlemåder. Artiklen søger efter tegn på det nye – og anderledes. Der er tegn på, at psykologistuderende bruger teori på en anden måde, tegn på at de store psykologiske teorier mister betydning, og tegn på, at erfarne psykologer interesserer sig for overskridende tænkning. Der er også mange tegn på, at unge har ganske andre mål, fremgangsmåder og selvforståelse end deres forældre. Viden, tro og overtro ses nu som ressourcer, der ikke mere er klart adskilte. Det spirituelle er ved at blive stuerent. Mit projekt drejer sig om at undersøge muligheder for at inddrage spirituelle arbejdsformer i den etablerede psykologi. Det kræver, at jeg som undersøger forholder mig åben og udogmatisk og gennem deltagerobservation søger at lære den fremmede verden at kende. Gennem induktive kvalitative undersøgelsesmetoder og grounded theory tilstræber jeg at opstille hypoteser og nye alternativer. Det sker blandt andet gennem interview, egen deltagelse i clairvoyance, gennemgang af teori om ‘den åndelige verdener’ og deltagelse på kursus. Ved at være åben og opmærksom på tegnene undervejs mener jeg at kunne konstatere, at der findes andre professionelle, der har alternative indgange til det menneskelige følelsesliv, der kan bryde gængse psykologiske forforståelser, give psykologien nye ressourcer og forbedre mulighederne for at virke i interkulturelle situationer. DET ER VÆSENTLIGT AT KUNNE VÆRE TIL STEDE OG KUNNE ARBEJDE PÅ LAVERE BEVIDSTHEDSNIVEAUER PÅ EN IKKE-KOGNITIV MÅDE er min konklusion. I artiklen søger jeg at beskrive min rejse mod det ukendte med sympatiserende besøg hos mennesker, der beskæftiger sig med transcendente oplevelser og metafysiske konstruktioner. Artiklen beskriver således de første skridt i en tilegnelse af en mere rummelig forståelse af mennesker, samt udvikling af nye kompetencer og arbejdsformer, som bygger på fællesmenneskelige opfattelser, som kan benyttes ved tilpasning til globalisering og transkulturelle forståelser.

A tevékenységek kiszervezése, illetve annak nemzetközi változata, az úgynevezett offshore outsourcing napjaink gazdaságának egyik legfontosabb jelensége. A termelés kihelyezése olcsó országokba már évtizedekkel ezelőtt megindult. Az infokommunikácós technológia fejlődésének köszönhetően a múlt század kilencvenes éveiben az egyéb, többnyire szolgáltatás jellegű vállalati tevékenységek is sorra kerültek. A near-shoring és az off-shoring hatalmas, dinamikusan fejlődő iparággá vált, ami különleges lehetőségeket biztosít számos feltörekvő országnak. A szektorban élénk verseny bontakozott ki, aminek részese hazánk is. Ebben a küzdelemben sajátos ország- és vállalati stratégiák figyelhetők meg. Abstract:

Background In 1982, the Lysholm score was first published as a physician-administered score in the American Journal of Sports Medicine. The Tegner activity scale was published in 1985. Hypothesis The Lysholm and Tegner scores are valid as patient-administered scores and responsive at early time points after treatment of anterior cruciate ligament tears. Study Design Cohort study (Diagnosis); Level of evidence, 1. Methods All patients were treated for an anterior cruciate ligament tear. For responsiveness, the Lysholm score (n = 1075) and Tegner activity level (n = 505) were measured preoperatively and 6, 9, 12, and 24 months postoperatively. For test-retest (n = 50), scores were measured at 2 years postoperatively and again within 4 weeks by questionnaire. For criterion validity (n = 170), patients completed the Short Form-12 and the International Knee Documentation Committee score in addition to Lysholm and Tegner instruments. For all other analyses, preoperative Lysholm score (n = 1783) or Tegner activity levels (n = 687) were collected. Results There was acceptable test-retest reliability for both the Lysholm (intraclass correlation coefficient = 0.9) and Tegner (intraclass correlation coefficient = 0.8) scores. The minimum detectable change for Lysholm was 8.9 and for Tegner was 1. The Lysholm demonstrated acceptable internal consistency. The Lysholm correlated with the International Knee Documentation Committee (r = .8) and the Short Form-12 (r = .4), and Tegner correlated with the Short Form-12 (r = .2). Both scores had acceptable floor and ceiling effects and all hypotheses were significant. The Lysholm and Tegner were responsive to change at each of the time points. Conclusion After 25 years of changes in treatment of anterior cruciate ligament injuries, the Lysholm knee score and the Tegner activity scale demonstrated acceptable psychometric parameters as patient-administered scores and showed acceptable responsiveness to be used in early return to function after anterior cruciate ligament treatment.

Tilrettelegging av tolket undervisning er et aktuelt tema både innen utdanning og forskning fordi flere elever med tegnspråk velger opplæring i den ordinære skolen. Har elevene norsk tegnspråk som ett av sine språk, sier opplæringsloven §2.6 og §3.9 at de skal ha en opplæring «i og på tegnspråk». For å ivareta opplæringstilbudet har det blitt vanlig at skolene ansetter tolker som skal formidle det som sies mellom lærer og elev, og mellom elevene. Samarbeidslæring er en sentral måte å organisere undervisningen på. I denne artikkelen belyser jeg hvordan lærere kan legge til rette for tolking av gruppearbeid mellom elever med talt og tegnet språk. Analysene viser oss betydningen av at lærerne lager tydelige rammer for samtalene som oppstår når elevene arbeider med oppgaver, at de må tenke på hvordan de organiserer det fysiske læringsmiljøet og at de må sette sammen grupper der elevene er fortrolig med hverandre og tolkens tilstedeværelse. Det empiriske materialet som ligger til grunn for studien, er fra videregående skole. Funnene i studien kan imidlertid relateres til høyere og lavere skoletrinn fordi utfordringene ikke er knyttet til elevenes alder, men til generelle mønstre i tolkede samtaler mellom flere deltakere og mellom talt og tegnet språk.

Az általános fogyasztási és értékesítő szövetkezetek (az áfészek) különleges társadalmi, gazdasági képződmények. Az adott korszak viszonyai határozzák meg lényegüket. Napjainkban ezért azt hibásan, eltérő (változó) nézőpontból közelítik. A magyar fogyasztási szövetkezeti kereskedelem a rendszerváltást megelőzően komoly gazdasági, gazdaságpolitikai pozícióval rendelkezett Magyarországon, különösen a vidék lakosságának életminősége fejlesztésében, az életszínvonal fejlődésében. Meghatározó szerepe volt a kereskedelmi ellátás és ellátottság, de az agrárgazdaság, az agribiznisz tekintetében is. A politika, a rendszerváltást követően, – bizonyos tekintetben a gazdasági racionalitás fölé kerekedve – a korábbi szövetkezeti értékeket majdhogynem teljesen megsemmisítette. A fogyasztási szövetkezetek „ősi értékei", szervezeti innovációs képessége stb. eredményeként sikerült egy pozitív konvergencia folyamatot elindítani, amely hol erőteljesebben, hol kevésbé erőteljesen konvergált az aktuális gazdaságpolitika hazai prioritásaival. A szerző ennek a folyamatnak a főbb jellemzőit elemzi tanulmányában.

Abstract:

Ozonation of pure aqueous solutions of the polar aliphatic refractory triethylene glycol dimethyl ether (TEGDME) which is a typical representative of organic solutes of oil reclaiming wastewaters does not lead to effective mineralization unless high ozone doses are applied. Small doses of UV irradiation do not markedly increase TEGDME mineralization by ozonation, but transformation to more oxidized products (mainly carboxylic acids containing methoxy and/or ethoxy groups) which are biodegradable to a higher degree than TEGDME. Addition of high concentrations of hydrogen peroxide during ozonation results in efficient increase of TEGDME mineralization, however. The presence of humic acids - which is a consequence of biological treatment of wastewaters containing biodegradable organic constituents - has a beneficial effect on transformation of TEGDME during ozonation or ozone/UV treatment because hydrogen peroxide is formed during ozonation of humic acid C-C double bonds.

Background: Functional or quality of life questionnaires are important tools in clinical investigations. The Lysholm Knee Scoring Scale and Tegner Activity Scale are knee-specific questionnaires that are widely used to assess knee function. Study Design: Cohort study (diagnosis); Level of evidence, 3. Methods: The Lysholm and Tegner scales were translated into Thai by using the forward-backward translation protocol. Because cultural modifications were made to the sports used to measure activity on the Tegner scale, the authors of this study refer to the Thai version as the “Thai adjusted Tegner scale.” The reliability and validity of the translated scales were evaluated by obtaining the responses of 60 consecutive patients (mean age, 40.5 years; 34 male, 26 female); the patients also completed the Thai version of the International Knee Documentation Committee Subjective Knee Form (IKDC-SKF). Criterion validity was tested by correlating the scores from both translated questionnaires with those from the Thai IKDC-SKF, while reliability was assessed by measuring test-retest reliability and internal consistency. Results: The Thai Lysholm scale showed a strong correlation with the Thai IKDC-SKF ( r = 0.89), while the Thai adjusted Tegner scale showed a moderate correlation with the Thai IKDC-SKF ( r = 0.60). The intrarater and test-retest reliability measures were excellent for the Thai Lysholm (intraclass correlation coefficient [ICC], 0.94 and 0.98, respectively) and moderate to good for the Thai adjusted Tegner (ICC, 0.73 and 0.86, respectively). The internal consistency for the Thai Lysholm was acceptable at all the time points (Cronbach alpha, 0.71-0.73). Conclusion: The Thai Lysholm and Thai adjusted Tegner scales adequately retained the characteristics of the original versions. They can be considered reliable instruments for Thai patients with knee-related problems.

The effect of lithium salts such as LiPF6, LiBF4, LiCF3SO3 and LiN(CF3SO2)2 (LiTFSI) in tetra(ethylene glycol) dimethyl ether (TEGDME) electrolyte on the ionic conductivity, interfacial resistance and discharge properties of Li/pyrite cell at room temperature was studied. The electrolytes had good ionic conductivity at room temperature in the range 0.61 to 1.86 × 10-3 S/. The discharge capacities of Li/pyrite cells with 1M LiPF6 and LiBF4 in TEGDME were lower compared to those of the other two non-HF containing salts. The best cycle performance was exhibited by LiTFSI in TEGDME electrolyte, with a discharge capacity of 438 mAhg-1 after 20 cycles, which is ~49% of FeS2 theoretical capacity (894 mAhg-1). The good performance of LiTFSI-TEGDME electrolyte resulted mainly from its low interfacial resistance in Li/FeS2 cells, which showed a decreasing trend with cycling.

Abstract:

Background: In young athletes, patient-reported activity level is frequently used to determine return to the same level of sport after treatment. Purpose: To evaluate the validity and score distributions of the Hospital for Special Surgery Pediatric Functional Activity Brief Scale (HSS Pedi-FABS) compared with the Tegner Activity Level Scale (Tegner) in pediatric athletes. Study Design: Cohort study (Diagnosis); Level of evidence, 2. Methods: A retrospective review of 517 consecutive youth athletes who came to a sports medicine specialty clinic for a knee evaluation was performed. Patients completed the HSS Pedi-FABS, Tegner, and a sports participation survey before evaluation. Scores were compared with reported hours, days, and weeks of participation in sports as well as level of competition. Floor or ceiling effects were identified, and finally, the means and distributions of scores in the 8 most common primary sports were analyzed. Results: A total of 398 participants (54.0% female) with an average age of 14.5 years (range, 10.0-18.8 years) were included in the study. The HSS Pedi-FABS demonstrated correlations with hours per week ( r = 0.302; P < .001), days per week ( r = 0.278; P < .001), and weeks per year ( r = 0.136; P = .014) playing a primary sport. The Tegner only demonstrated a correlation with days per week ( r = 0.211; P = .001). Additionally, club/select-level athletes scored higher than junior high/high school–level athletes on the HSS Pedi-FABS (23.8 vs 21.0; P = .004), but no difference was observed with the Tegner. No floor or ceiling effect was observed for the HSS Pedi-FABS, but a ceiling effect was present for the Tegner (32.8%). The HSS Pedi-FABS demonstrated a varied score distribution between the 8 most common primary sports ( P < .001), with soccer players scoring the highest, on average (23.5). Conclusion: The HSS Pedi-FABS, compared with the Tegner, demonstrated more correlations with an athlete’s participation in sport with no floor or ceiling effect and had a wide distribution of scores even among same-sport athletes. The HSS Pedi-FABS may be a more valuable activity measure than the Tegner in pediatric athletes.

Abstract:

Introduction/Objective. Arthroscopic mechanical hand tools, motorized shavers, and bipolar radiofrequency are used in arthroscopic partial meniscectomy. The aim of this study is to evaluate efficacy of radiofrequency on early clinical outcomes in patients who underwent arthroscopic partial meniscectomy with horizontal cleavage tear and without additional intraarticular knee pathology. Methods. A total of 37 patients complied with the study criteria. Patients were divided into two groups according to usage of bipolar radiofrequency. Patients were evaluated by using visual analog scale (VAS) and Tegner Lysholm knee scores at the end of the first year follow-up. Results. Twenty-two patients comprised the shaver-using group. Preoperative mean VAS score was 7.9 ? 0.8, and the Tegner Lysholm knee score was 49.6 ? 9.6. Fifteen patients comprised the bipolar radiofrequency-using group. Preoperative VAS score was 7.8 ? 0.9, and the Tegner Lysholm knee score was 52.2 ? 10.7. The mean VAS score was 1.2 ? 0.9, and the mean Tegner Lysholm knee score was 89.5 ? 8.1 in shaver used group at last follow-up. At the last postoperative follow-up, the mean VAS score was 1.1 ? 1, and the Tegner Lysholm knee score was 88.8 ? 7.3 in the bipolar radiofrequency-using group. No statistically significant differences between the VAS and Tegner Lysholm knee scores of the preoperative and postoperative controls of the two groups were observed (p?0.05). Conclusion. Radiofrequency use has no effect on early clinical outcomes in the arthroscopic treatment of isolated medial meniscus posterior horn horizontal cleavage tears; we do not recommend its use

Background The Lysholm score and Tegner activity scale are commonly used to document outcomes after arthroscopic knee surgery. These outcomes measurements are subjective in nature and evaluate performance and activity restrictions both before and after surgery, making them a valuable research tool when judging the effectiveness of surgical treatment. Purpose To establish a normal knee data set for the Lysholm and Tegner rating systems, as well as to show how these scores are affected by age and gender. Study Design Cross-sectional study; Level of evidence, 3. Methods A subjective questionnaire that included both the Lysholm score and Tegner activity grading scale was completed by 488 subjects in the community who considered their knee function normal. Any subject reporting a history of injury or surgery was excluded from the study. The average age was 41 years (range, 18-85), with 244 men and 244 women qualifying for statistical analysis. Results The average Lysholm score was 94 (range, 43-100), and the average Tegner activity level was 5.7 (range, 1-10). The Lysholm score and age demonstrated no correlation. The Tegner activity level was inversely correlated with age. The average Tegner activity level for men was 6.0, and the average activity scale for women was 5.4. There was no significant difference in the Lysholm score between men and women. Conclusion These data acquired from a normal, healthy population provide a standard point of reference for the injured or postsurgical knee. These data also serve as ideal tools when counseling patients about realistic expectations after surgery, based on age and gender.

In this work, the effect of molecular cosolvents tetraethylene glycol dimethyl ether (TEGDME) on the structure and versatile nature of mixtures of these compounds with imidazolium-based ionic liquid 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate ([bmim][PF6]) is analyzed and discussed at a molecular level by means of all-atom molecular dynamics (MD) simulations. In the whole concentration range of the binary mixtures, the structures and properties evolution was studied by means of systematic molecular dynamics simulations of the fraction of hydrogen bonds, the radial and spatial distribution functions for the various molecular ions and molecular species in the system, together with the snapshots visualization of equilibrated simulation boxes with a color-coding scheme and the rotational dynamics of coumarin 153 (C153) in the binary mixtures. The goal of the work is to provide a molecular-level understanding of significant improvement of ionic conductivity and self-diffusion with the presence of TEGDME as a cosolvent, which causes an enhancement to the ion translational motion and fluidity in the [bmim][PF6] ionic liquids (ILs). Under a mixture concentration change, the microstructure changes of [bmim][PF6] with the TEGDME molar fraction (XTEG) above 0.50 show a slight difference from that of neat [bmim][PF6] IL and concentrated [bmim][PF6]/TEGDME mixture in terms of the radial and spatial distribution functions. The relative diffusivities of solvent molecules to cations as a function of concentration were found to depend on the solvent but not on the anion. A TEGDME increase is found to be advantageous to the dissipation of the polar regions as well as the nonpolar regions in the [bmim][PF6] ionic liquids. These conclusions are consistent with the experimental results, which verified that the unique, complex, and versatile nature of [bmim][PF6]/TEGDME mixture can be correctly modeled and discussed at a molecular level using MD simulation data.
