Abstract:
Objective: Identify the reasons why teenagers don't adhere to prevention and control of HIV/Aids. Methodology: Using the integrative review method, this research was guided by the following question: Why Brazilian teenagers don’t use condom as an effective way to prevent HIV/AIDS? The database consulted was from Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS), Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE) and Base de Dados de Enfermagem (BDENF). The search period was from 2010 to 2014. Results: 539 articles, MEDLINE (401), LILACS (114) e BDENF (24). The sample consisted of 5 articles from database LILACS (4) and BDENF (1). Two analysis categories emerged: “the teenager and the social and cultural inequalities” and “the teenager and biopsychic changes”. Conclusion: The social inequality appeared as an important reason for the vulnerability during adolescence and adolescent behavior proved to be relevant to their exposure to contamination risks of HIV / AIDS. It is noteworthy that gender issues influence on the experience and implications of sexual intercourse among teenagers. Descriptors: Adolescent health. HIV. Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome. Abstract:
Delaying sexual debut is essential to prevent female teenagers from early sexual activity that can expose them to the risks of unintended pregnancy, unsafe abortion, and sexually transmitted infections, including HIV. Family structure has a critical role in shaping adolescents’ sexual behaviors. However, this issue remains poorly understood in Indonesia. The study aims to assess the association between family living arrangement and delayed sexual debut among Indonesian female youth. The study analyzed data of unmarried Indonesian adolescents age 19-24 from Indonesia Demographic and Health Survey (DHS) 2017, using descriptive statistics and multivariate logistic regression. After controlling for sex of household head, educational status and knowledge of HIV/AIDS, female teenagers who lived with both parents were more likely to postpone sexual intercourse; however, this effect was not statistically significant. The family living arrangement has important consequences in terms of sexual development among female teenagers. Interventions on strengthening supportive atmosphere within the family and improving parent-adolescent relationships are critical in reducing teenagers' vulnerability to sexual risk-taking behaviors.

Abstract:
Introduction Social media has created opportunities for children to gather social support online (Blackwell et al., 2016; Gonzales, 2017; Jackson, Bailey, & Foucault Welles, 2018; Khasawneh, Rogers, Bertrand, Madathil, & Gramopadhye, 2019; Ponathil, Agnisarman, Khasawneh, Narasimha, & Madathil, 2017). However, social media also has the potential to expose children and adolescents to undesirable behaviors. Research showed that social media can be used to harass, discriminate (Fritz & Gonzales, 2018), dox (Wood, Rose, & Thompson, 2018), and socially disenfranchise children (Page, Wisniewski, Knijnenburg, & Namara, 2018). Other research proposes that social media use might be correlated to the significant increase in suicide rates and depressive symptoms among children and adolescents in the past ten years (Mitchell, Wells, Priebe, & Ybarra, 2014). Evidence based research suggests that suicidal and unwanted behaviors can be promulgated through social contagion effects, which model, normalize, and reinforce self-harming behavior (Hilton, 2017). These harmful behaviors and social contagion effects may occur more frequently through repetitive exposure and modelling via social media, especially when such content goes “viral” (Hilton, 2017). One example of viral self-harming behavior that has generated significant media attention is the Blue Whale Challenge (BWC). The hearsay about this challenge is that individuals at all ages are persuaded to participate in self-harm and eventually kill themselves (Mukhra, Baryah, Krishan, & Kanchan, 2017). Research is needed specifically concerning BWC ethical concerns, the effects the game may have on teenagers, and potential governmental interventions. To address this gap in the literature, the current study uses qualitative and content analysis research techniques to illustrate the risk of self-harm and suicide contagion through the portrayal of BWC on YouTube and Twitter Posts. The purpose of this study is to analyze the portrayal of BWC on YouTube and Twitter in order to identify the themes that are presented on YouTube and Twitter posts that share and discuss BWC. In addition, we want to explore to what extent are YouTube videos compliant with safe and effective suicide messaging guidelines proposed by the Suicide Prevention Resource Center (SPRC). Method Two social media websites were used to gather the data: 60 videos and 1,112 comments from YouTube and 150 posts from Twitter. The common themes of the YouTube videos, comments on those videos, and the Twitter posts were identified using grounded, thematic content analysis on the collected data (Padgett, 2001). Three codebooks were built, one for each type of data. The data for each site were analyzed, and the common themes were identified. A deductive coding analysis was conducted on the YouTube videos based on the nine SPRC safe and effective messaging guidelines (Suicide Prevention Resource Center, 2006). The analysis explored the number of videos that violated these guidelines and which guidelines were violated the most. The inter-rater reliabilities between the coders ranged from 0.61 – 0.81 based on Cohen’s kappa. Then the coders conducted consensus coding. Results & Findings Three common themes were identified among all the posts in the three social media platforms included in this study. The first theme included posts where social media users were trying to raise awareness and warning parents about this dangerous phenomenon in order to reduce the risk of any potential participation in BWC. This was the most common theme in the videos and posts. Additionally, the posts claimed that there are more than 100 people who have played BWC worldwide and provided detailed description of what each individual did while playing the game. These videos also described the tasks and different names of the game. Only few videos provided recommendations to teenagers who might be playing or thinking of playing the game and fewer videos mentioned that the provided statistics were not confirmed by reliable sources. The second theme included posts of people that either criticized the teenagers who participated in BWC or made fun of them for a couple of reasons: they agreed with the purpose of BWC of “cleaning the society of people with mental issues,” or they misunderstood why teenagers participate in these kind of challenges, such as thinking they mainly participate due to peer pressure or to “show off”. The last theme we identified was that most of these users tend to speak in detail about someone who already participated in BWC. These videos and posts provided information about their demographics and interviews with their parents or acquaintances, who also provide more details about the participant’s personal life. The evaluation of the videos based on the SPRC safe messaging guidelines showed that 37% of the YouTube videos met fewer than 3 of the 9 safe messaging guidelines. Around 50% of them met only 4 to 6 of the guidelines, while the remaining 13% met 7 or more of the guidelines. Discussion This study is the first to systematically investigate the quality, portrayal, and reach of BWC on social media. Based on our findings from the emerging themes and the evaluation of the SPRC safe messaging guidelines we suggest that these videos could contribute to the spread of these deadly challenges (or suicide in general since the game might be a hoax) instead of raising awareness. Our suggestion is parallel with similar studies conducted on the portrait of suicide in traditional media (Fekete & Macsai, 1990; Fekete & Schmidtke, 1995). Most posts on social media romanticized people who have died by following this challenge, and younger vulnerable teens may see the victims as role models, leading them to end their lives in the same way (Fekete & Schmidtke, 1995). The videos presented statistics about the number of suicides believed to be related to this challenge in a way that made suicide seem common (Cialdini, 2003). In addition, the videos presented extensive personal information about the people who have died by suicide while playing the BWC. These videos also provided detailed descriptions of the final task, including pictures of self-harm, material that may encourage vulnerable teens to consider ending their lives and provide them with methods on how to do so (Fekete & Macsai, 1990). On the other hand, these videos both failed to emphasize prevention by highlighting effective treatments for mental health problems and failed to encourage teenagers with mental health problems to seek help and providing information on where to find it. YouTube and Twitter are capable of influencing a large number of teenagers (Khasawneh, Ponathil, Firat Ozkan, & Chalil Madathil, 2018; Pater & Mynatt, 2017). We suggest that it is urgent to monitor social media posts related to BWC and similar self-harm challenges (e.g., the Momo Challenge). Additionally, the SPRC should properly educate social media users, particularly those with more influence (e.g., celebrities) on elements that boost negative contagion effects. While the veracity of these challenges is doubted by some, posting about the challenges in unsafe manners can contribute to contagion regardless of the challlenges’ true nature.

Abstract:
This study aims at describing premarital sex behavior as well as to analyze peers impact on premarital sexual behavior of teenagers. The study was conducted in Bali, Indonesia. This is an analytic observational research that applied cross-sectional approach. The subject was 566 teenagers who were studying at Senior High Schools in Buleleng, Bali. Data was collected using a questionnaire. We examined the validity and reliability of the data before analyzed it. We also collected data through interviews. After being analyzed by logistic regression analysis, the data shows that 47% of teenagers have never watched porn, 35.9% of teenagers have never conducted kissing activity (with their partner), 24.7% of teenagers have never conducted sexuality rub toward their sexual organs, 22.8% of teenagers have ever masturbated, and 13.1% of teenagers have never experienced sexual intercourse. Teenagers who have got the correct information from peers are possible to have better premarital sex behaviors, 2 times greater than those who have not got correct information (OR = 2; p = 0.003). It is also found that teenagers who have got a good emotional relationship with peers are more possible to have better premarital sex behavior life, 3 times greater, than teenagers who have got a less emotional relationship with peers (OR = 3; p = 0.000). It is concluded that, statistically, there is significant influence between peers and premarital sex behaviors of teenagers in Indonesia.

Abstract:
The issue of free sex is still a major problem in West Sumatra, especially among teenagers. One of the causes was the high level of exposure of sexual information from digital devices. Teenagers who did the free sex are suspected that they have low digital literacy. The measurement of teenagers' free sex digital literacy level would show a new consideration for the government or people in charge to increase the effectiveness of preventing the free sex behavior among teenagers. This study was conducted. It involved 38 free sex teenagers age 11-24. They consisted of 11 males and 27 females who live in Padang, Bukittingi, and Payakumbuh. By using the Steve Wheeler's digital literacy approach, it was found that the average level of free sex on teenagers in West Sumatra was 77.5 or on medium category. This finding at the same time refuted the initial hypothesis that stated the level of teenagers' free sex digital literacy was on low category. These differences could be a consideration because two expected elements of digital literacy to prevent the teenagers from negative effect could reach the lowest achievement if they are compared with other digital literacy elements. In addition, the huge pornography propaganda in internet has also become one of causes why the teenagers with medium digital literacy category still do free sex.

Abstract:
The article presents the data of the Phd research of teenagers family identity. Hypothesis of teenagers’ sex and age specifics of family identity is verified with a help of authorial questionnaire and described. The sample includes 337 12–17 years old teenagers, living in Ramenskoye, Moscow region. Highly verified results were received about the groups of young (12–14 years old) and older (15–17 years old) teenagers. It was established that in the young teen years teenagers feel more acceptance from their families, value it more and are ready to take part in the families’ deals. These results help to understand teenager’s family identity dynamics. There were not verified distinguishes between boys and girls in such parameters as acceptance from the family, it’s value and readiness to take part in the families’ deals, researching with a help of authorial questionnaire. According to the data research authors believe that the boys’ and girls’ results can be correlated with the smoothing of gender roles in modern society, including family roles. Also it can me related to the specifics of authorial questionnaire, that is researching not a family idea but another subjective reality concerning to the family, that has its specifics connected to the age of teenagers, but not to his sex.

Abstract:
Source of information obtained teenagers about reproduction health is pushed the behavior of the teenagers to know more about sexual problem. In line with the era of globalization, information and technology, there is a big change in the sexual behavior of teenagers. Unwanted pregnancy, unsafe abortions and an increase in cases of sexually transmitted infections, which is a problem in teenagers reproduction health in Indonesia. The results of research in the program of Muda Berkarya conducted by Yayasan Kita (2005), teenagers of Sabang and some other town in the province of Aceh are likely to be further involved in unsafe sexual behavior. The purpose of this survey study with cross sectional study design is to examine the relationship of reproduction health resources (role of media, role of parents, role of peers) on the sexual behavior of high school students in Sabang. The population of this study are 607 high school students and 113 of them were selected through univariate proporsional hypothesis test to be the samples for this study and bivariate (Chi square test) with significance level ? <0,05 and level of confidence of 95%. The results using Chi square test shows that significant variables related to sexual behavior are: the role of the media (p = 0.018) role of parents (p = 0.043) and the role of peers (p = 0.014). All of these variables have been associated with sexual behavior. It is suggested that the Department of Health to improve the implementation of outreach programs Teenagers Reproduction Health. With the counseling of students to better understand and care for reproduction health. The Department of Education to improve reproductive health education curriculum, so that students are better able to keep the negative sexual behavior and pornography so that negative interactions can be avoided.

IntroductionVoluntary asphyxiation by practicing unsafe games such as choking, hanging, strangulation or other means of inducing hypoxia/anoxia is not uncommun among adolescents and can lead to unintended death but it stills not very well-known so underestimated by parents and underdiagnosed by health professionals.ObjectivesStudy of clinical, psychological and psychopathological features in adolescent practicing unsafe games through a case report and a literature review.MethodsWe will present the case of a 14-year-old boy followed up in the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Department of Mongi Slim Hospital (La Marsa, Tunisia) for behavioral disorders and recurrent syncope. This case report will be supported by a literature review.Case reportS.B., 14-year-old boy, unique child of two divorced parents, with precarious family socio-economic conditions, no apparent medical problems and no known history of drug or alcohol abuse, suicidal ideation or suicide attempts, consulted first time in the department for behavioral disorders. The diagnostic of dysthymia was made. Seven months later, he was hospitalized in the medical intensive care unit for postictal coma. All medical investigations were normal. In the following, S.B. revealed that he used to practice voluntary asphyxiation by compressing the two carotids using his fingers until loss of consciousness. The diagnosis of paraphilia (DSM-5) was established.ConclusionsEarly recognition of such cases and awareness of psychological and psychopathological motivations might prevent serious complications and lethal outcome for these “unsafe-young-players”.Disclosure of interestThe authors have not supplied their declaration of competing interest.

Abstract:
Purpose High prevalence of psychosocial problems has been observed in clinical studies of teenagers who have a parent with cancer. In contrast, we used a population-based design to study such problems in teenagers who have a parent with cancer (cases) compared with matched teenagers with cancer-free parents (controls). We hypothesized that higher prevalence of psychosocial problems would be observed in cases compared with controls and that sex differences would be observed between cases and controls. Methods We used data from a cross-sectional population-based survey of teenagers (Young-HUNT study). Among 8,986 teenage participants, 120 of their parents had invasive cancer before the Young-HUNT study according to the Norwegian Cancer Registry. These parents had 143 teenagers (cases) participating in the Young-HUNT study. Matched on sex, age, and municipality, 429 control teenagers with cancer-free parents were drawn from the Young-HUNT study. Six psychosocial problems were studied. Results No significant differences in psychosocial problems were observed between cases and controls in the total sample. Fewer case daughters reported eating problems compared with control daughters, and more case sons reported eating problems compared with control sons. More case daughters than case sons reported somatic stress symptoms and low self-esteem and displayed more caseness of anxiety/depression. These three sex differences were also observed among controls, indicating that they were general sex differences. Conclusion In this population-based study, teenagers who had a parent with cancer did not have higher prevalence of psychosocial problems than controls. Sex differences observed in previous clinically based studies were confirmed but may simply reflect sex differences observed among teenagers in general.

Abstract:
The study focused on the physical development indicators in younger teens aged 11–12 (Group 1) and 13–14 (Group 2) living in northern conditions (Surgut, Russia). The data was collected and processed in spring from February through March 2020. The physical development, the functional state of the cardiovascular system and the functional body reserves were assessed by anthropometric and hemodynamic indicators. It was found that the physical development was harmonious in the majority of examined teenagers. Among elder teenagers, more boys had good physical development, while more elder girls showed signs of asthenization. Hemodynamic parameters reflected the improved functioning of the cardiovascular system in relation to age. The integrative indicators of heart rate hemodynamics and arterial blood pressure were above the age-sex norm, which indicates stress on the vital systems. The adaptation reserves in teenagers of both groups were reduced during the spring period: 47–66 % of teenagers in Group 1 and 57–68 % of teenagers in Group 2 demonstrated unsatisfactory adaptation indicators.

Abstract:
Reports research into the sexual behaviour of UK teenagers at the margins of society, the project was a response to the Social Exclusion Unit’s brief to reduce the rate of teenage conceptions and to move teenage parents into education, training or employment. Focuses on the issues of recruiting teenagers for interview, methodology, and building trusting two‐way relationships with them so that sensitive subjects like condom use could be discussed. Characterises these teenage parents and their social status, and compares the UK with the rest of Europe: the former has a simultaneously puritanical and prurient culture. Finds that pairs of friends provided an open and honest environment for research, while journals and cameras provided to the teenage respondents were an essential part of the project. Finds that for them sex is often spontaneous, accompanied by alcohol, and invariably unprotected.

Abstract:
The study is an attempt to investigate sex and age as crucial factors in the world of interruption. These two factors are investigated theoretically and then practically in two works, “The Kings of Summer” movie and “Pretty Little Liars” TV series. The two works are selected in terms of their compatibility with the core of the study; the characters are teenagers and of the same sex. The study adopts an adapted model to analyze interruption performed by teenagers with special focus on same-sex conversations. The two works’ videos were watched and listened to and then their scripts were precisely examined for more reliable results and judgments. The findings demonstrate that teenagers are characterized by their frequent and numerous interruption. Teenage male speakers are more pleased and relaxed to speak and practice interruption with peers (teenage male speakers). Interruption is also familiar in teenage female-female interaction.

Gender problems have become daily topics of discussion. The relationship between gender and parenting in a family can also cause different problems because the understanding among individuals in the family is also different. The purpose of this study was to determine the understanding of parents about gender and to identify the way parents provide parenting to boys and girls. The research method used in this study was a descriptive qualitative approach. The informants in this research were parents who have teenaged children, either boys or girls, or both of them. The results of this study indicate that parents in Claket Village did not understand the differences between gender and sex because they still distinguished the tasks based on sex. The way that the parents used to provide parenting to boys and girls was to involve their children directly in doing their parents’ activities.

Abstract:
Various adolescent health problems in Indonesia are so complex, not only related to physical but also related to psychosocial aspects. When teenagers have to struggle to recognize the sides of themselves that are experiencing physical-psychic and social changes due to puberty, society instead tries to hide everything about sex and leave teenagers with question marks in their minds. The view that sex is taboo, makes teenagers reluctant to discuss reproductive health with others. The lack of accurate and correct information about reproductive health makes teenagers seek access and explore themselves. Health education for adolescents needs to be provided with the right methods and media. Audiovisual media is a learning tool or media that uses video or mobile display, this media is a modern learning among the community and effective for teenagers so that they can absorb the material provided to the maximum. This study aims to determine the influence of audiovisual media on increasing adolescent knowledge about reproductive health. This research is a quantitative study with quasi-experimental design one group without control, with a sample of 50 respondents. Respondents measured the rate ofyears before and after intervention, namely health education using audiovisual media. The results of the study: dependent t-test dependent statistical test on post-test knowledge about reproductive health increased by 6.46 to 8.06 with p value of 0.000 indicating the influence of audiovisual media provision on improving adolescent reproductive health knowledge.

Abstract:
Summary: The sexual behaviour and factors which affect such behaviour, source of knowledge and education about sex was assessed by means of an anonymous selfadministered questionnaire among 2754 pupils (15-18 years) attending 40 (85%) second level schools in Galway City and County. The purpose of the study was to make recommendations in relation to a school sexual health education programme. Overall 21% of pupils had had sexual intercourse, with boys more than twice as likely as girls to have experienced this. The mean age of first sexual intercourse was 15.5 years, 72% reported having used a condom at first intercourse but of 475 pupils who had sexual intercourse regularly only 67% used condoms all the time with 33% using them sometimes or never. Over half reported that first intercourse was with a 'casual' partner and 35% and 9% respectively claimed that alcohol and nonprescribed drugs were a contributory factor. In relation to sexual risk beliefs, 72% believed that condoms used properly reduced the risk of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and 78% knew that the contraceptive pill is not protective against human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infections. While the level of knowledge regarding sex education was generally high over one-third of sexually active respondents had been involved in high-risk behaviour. A need for health education programmes which focus on behaviour change and assertiveness has been identified.

Abstract:
Youthful driving while intoxicated (DWI) is a leading cause of death among teenagers and young adults. In spite of great social concern about teenagers and DWI, definitive studies are lacking which characterize youth who are at a high risk for this problem behavior. The present study uses a large representative sample of over 11,000 New York State secondary school students aged 16 years and older. The relationships between DWI, alcohol use, other drug use and numerous social factors are explored using multivariate analysis. Driving while intoxicated is found to be a prevalent problem, occurring among almost a quarter of the high school students in the past year. DWI is strongly related to various sociodemographic factors such as age, sex, ethnicity and geographic region. Furthermore, DWI is found to be part of a complex network of adolescent problem behaviors including other alcohol-related problems, illicit drug abuse and school misconduct.
