TCP is the most widely used protocol in internet which provides the reliable end to end data communications for users, and the TCP congestion control is one of the key technology that ensures the internet normal functions. However, TCP was designed on the terms of wire network at first, in which congestion was the only reason for division lost and accordingly TCP control was made. In the wireless network there are many error codes, the transfer mistakes easily make division lost and the network congestion is not the only reason for data lost any more, so if we continue to use the traditional TCP control, the transfer speed and the network function will be down. This paper offers a DS-TCP solution based on mobile algorithm that can efficiently reduce the data packet lost in the wireless network, increase the TCP throughput and network utilization and improve the TCP functions in the mobile IP wireless network.

Currently integrated network controller could implement data transmission through Internet. But commonly they have higher power consumption, fewer channels which could not be changed and less TCP/IP connection. A remote data acquisition technology based on embedded real-time operating system RT-Thread is presented in this paper. Server and client were constructed respectively according to TCP/IP protocol stack provided by operating system itself. Hardware circuit was centered with large capacity enhanced MCU named STM32F103ZET6. Ethernet interface chip DM9000AEP and network connection HR911105A were applied in our system. Socket API interface functions provided by RT-Thread were utilized in client and server software programs. Experimental results show that this system needs less hardware sources to implement more TCP/IP connections during remote data acquisition process.

Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) in Network Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (NIDPS) typically involves the matching of packet payloads against attack signatures in the form of fixed strings and regular expressions. As an attack pattern may span multiple IP fragments or TCP segments, accurate DPI requires that the traffic is reassembled prior to analysis of the payload data stream. Although hardware acceleration of the TCP layer, including reassembly, is well known in the form of TCP Offload Engines for Network Interface Cards, only limited research has been conducted into reassembly architectures suited to the particular requirements of DPI systems. The challenging requirements include the tracking and fragment/segment reordering of a potentially very large number of streams in addition to dealing with subtle ambiguities in IP fragmentation and TCP segmentation using target based reassembly or traffic normalization. In this article, the authors present a combined hardware and software architecture which harnesses the resources of the latest FPGA technology to improve on existing research proposals.

Video monitoring systems are undergoing an evolution from conventional analog to digital clarification to provide better rate and security over internet protocols. In addition, analog surveillance becomes insufficient to face enormous demand of security of system contains more than hundreds of camera often deployed in hotels environments far away from room control. This paper presents the design and simulation of a video monitoring scheme in excess of a transmission control protocol/internet protocol (TCP/IP) system using MATLAB. Sophisticated cameras could record directly high-definition digital videos based on digital technology which simply communicate the control room relaying on ordinary internet protocol infrastructure networks. This technology provides a flexible network interface over a wide variety of heterogeneous technology networks. Though, the acceptance of IP designed for video monitoring pretense severe difficulties in terms of power processing, system dependability, required bandwidth, and security of networks. The advantage of IP based video monitoring system has been investigated over conventional analog systems and the challenges of the method are described. The open research issues are still requiring a final solution to permits complete abandon against conventional technology of analog methods. In conclusion, the method to tackle the purpose of video monitoring in actual operation is proposed and verified properly by means of model simulation.

Abstract:
This paper presents a protocol to support hard real-time traffic of end-to-end communication over non real-time LAN technology. The network is set up with nodes and switches, and real-time communication is handled by software (protocol) added between the Ethernet protocols and the TCP/IP suite. The proposed protocol establishes a virtual circuit based on admission control and manages hard real-time traffic to bypass the TCP/IP stack. This makes considerably reduce the dwell time in the nodes, and increase the achievable data frame rate. After the bypassing, traffic schedule is performed according to dynamic-priority EDF algorithm. The work does not need any modifications in the Ethernet hardware and coexists with TCP/IP suites, and then the LAN with the protocol can be connected to any existing Ethernet networks. It can be adopted in industrial hard real-time applications such as embedded systems, distributed control systems, parallel signal processing and robotics. We have performed some experiments to evaluate the protocol. Compared to some conventional hard real-time network protocols, the proposed one has better real-time performances and meets the requirements of reliability for hard real-time systems.

In many services and applications the payload of the IP packet is almost of the same size or even smaller than the header. Over the end-to-end connection, comprised of multiple hops, these protocol headers are extremely important but over just one link (hop-to-hop) these headers serve no useful purpose. It is necessary to compress those headers, to save the bandwidth and use the expensive resources efficiently. To address this, we present an IP Header Compression (IPHC) technique for header compression. IEEE 802.11 (WLAN) is a technology that will play an important role in the next generations of wireless networks. WLAN technology doesnt support header compression techniques as part of the Medium Access Control layer at the moment. Header compression techniques such as IP Header Compression (IPHC) can be used to reduce the overhead of the IP-based traffic. The proposed system describes implementation of IPv4 and TCP header compression using IPHC as part of IEEE 802.11 MAC layer.

A “fire wall” allows internal users Internet access, but denies external intruders intranet access. As industrial microscopists, how can we take advantage of this new technology? This paper is a preliminary summary of our recent progress in building an intranet Web system among GE microscopy labs. Applications and future development are also discussed.The intranet Web system is an inexpensive yet powerful alternative to other forms of internal communication. It can greatly improve communications, unlock hidden information, and transform an organization. The intranet microscopy Web system was built on the existing GE corporate-wide Ethernet link running Internet’s TCP/IP protocol (Fig. 1). Netscape Navigator was selected as the Web browser. Web’s HTML documentation was generated by using Microsoft® Internet Assistant software. Each microscopy lab has its own home page. The microscopy Web system is also an integrated part of GE Plastics analytical technology Web system.

A great deal of previous research into wheel alignment has focused on techniques of the alignment, which involve big, bulky and high cost to maintain. Even though several approaches are required, the works are tedious and only performed in spacious area and trained mechanics. IoT is the alternatives due to the evolution of smartphone with numerous sensors to support and assist the research and development for IoT applications in vehicles. In this work, smaller and portable wheel alignment monitoring system is introduced by using communication protocol between sensors, microcontroller and mobile phone application. Thus, graphical user interface (GUI) is utilized to the system via wireless communication technology using TCP/IP Communication Protocol. The system has been tested to suit the functioning architecture system for the wheel alignment to provide the user awareness on early detection of wheel misalignment. In addition, the application has been successfully integrated with Android mobile application via TCP/IP communication protocol and view the results in smart phone in real-time.

Abstract Although there is a plethora of literature dealing with Phasor Measurement Unit (PMU) communication delay, there has not been any effort made to generalize empirical delay results by identifying the distribution with the best fit. The existing studies typically assume a distribution or simply build on analogies to communication network routing delay. Specifically, this study provides insight into the characterization of the communication delay of both unprocessed PMU data and synchrophasors sorted by a Phasor Data Concentrator (PDC). The results suggest that a bi-modal distribution containing two normal distributions offers the best fit of the delay of the unprocessed data, whereas the delay profile of the sorted synchrophasors resembles a normal distribution based on these results, the possibility of evaluating the reliability of a synchrophasor application with respect to a particular choice of PDC timeout is discussed.

The Internet of Things (IoT) gains momentum. Developments regarding smart grids, intelligent transportation systems, and low-power networks for smart cities constitute significant drivers in the evolution of network industries. IoT creates an array of new requirements for information and communications technology (ICT) data transmission: In addition to real-time and data geopositioning, new service characteristics result from the change of the traditional sender–receiver perspective of Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) to content relevancy for many users (e.g. cloud computing) and dynamic changes of the state of devices. The future development and success of IoT hinges critically on the provision of heterogeneous quality of service (QoS) requirements which cannot be provided by best-effort TCP/IP Internet. It is thus not surprising that both in the US and the EU network neutrality regulations are currently being reconsidered. Alternative network logistics (virtual networks) dealing with heterogeneous QoS requirements of network traffic may require fundamental deviations from traditional Internet architectures. Corresponding logistics operating over joint physical infrastructures gain increasing attention under the heading of future networks (FNs). The goal of this article is to focus on the economic mechanisms of how the potentials of QoS differentiation in the context of FNs can be fully exploited and incentivized within innovative all-IP-based QoS traffic architectures.

Electromagnetic spectrum monitoring that fully covers spectrum resources guarantees the orderly use of key technologies. However, existing monitoring equipment and methods cannot satisfy the increasing demand. A feasible solution for this problem is a wireless sensor network that is developed using a wireless self-organized network technology for a new type of distributed information system. For the wireless spectrum-monitoring network used by software, this study analyzes the operating system and hardware platform and then tests the physical transport layer under different transmission rates. Factors that may affect transmission performance are also investigated. A two-layer network model is eventually used based on the network to adapt to the requirements and the minimum transmission rate. The first layer uses cable, wideband code-division multiple access (CDMA), and time-division synchronous CDMA; the second layer network uses Wi-Fi/cable. This two-layer network model combines two heterogeneous networks, thereby enabling perception among nodes and gateway nodes. The management center can smooth the data transmission process. To perform several tasks simultaneously, we design our own two layers at the application layer protocol, namely, transmission protocol and data. The two-stage ad-hoc network process, the working principle, and the implementation method of each network application layer module are analyzed. The new spectrum sensor network structure exhibits low power consumption, low cost, as well as distributed and self-organization characteristics. It can guarantee the safety of data transmission with a good transmission rate.

Wireless networks rely on ad hoc communication in an emergency, such as a search and rescue or military missions. WLAN, WiMAX, and Bluetooth are often used in Ad Hoc networks. Using a TCP/IP wireless network poses several challenges. Packet loss in 802.11 may be caused by noise or the network. TCP/IP connects non-adjacent layers of the network, resolving cross-layer communication technology for cross-layer communication. It regulates data transmission energy. This structure solves an issue in various ways. It is often used to improve data transfer. Currently, the OSI reference model's layers and functions are not explicitly connected. Only DCL can send multimedia data via wireless networks. The research employs CLD to improve wireless security—invasions of ad hoc networks (MANETs). The research helps secure wireless MANs (MANETs), Vampire Attack Defense (VAP) algorithms. A Secure Cross-Layer Design SCLD-AHN protocol is included. The paper contributes to controlling security attacks in wireless Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANET's). In MANETs effectiveness of Vampire Attack Defense (VAP) algorithms is evaluated and analyzed. It also proposes a Secure Cross-Layer Design for the ad hoc networks (SCLD-AHN) protocol.

Abstract:
<p class="0abstract">Visible Light Communication (VLC) is an emerging optical communication technology with rapid development nowadays. VLC is considered as a compliment and successor of radio-frequency (RF) wireless communication. There are various typical implementations of VLC in which one of them is for exchanging data TCP/IP packets, thus the user can browse the internet as in established Wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi) technology. Briefly, we can call it by Light fidelity (Li-Fi). This paper described the design and implementation of System-on-Chip (SoC) subsystem for Li-Fi application where the implemented SoC consists of hardware (H/W) and software (S/W). In the H/W aspect, Physical Layer (PHY) is made by using UART communication with Ethernet connection to communicate with Host/Device personal-computer (PC). In the S/W aspect, Xillinux operating system (OS) is used. The H/W- as well as S/W-SoC, are realized in FPGA Zybo Zynq-7000 EPP development board. The functional test result shows (without optical channel or Zybo-to-Zybo only) that the implemented SoC is working as expected. It is able to exchange TCP/IP packets between two PCs. Moreover, Ethernet connection has bandwidth up to 83.6 Mbps and PHY layer <em>baud rate</em> has bandwidth up to 921600 bps.</p>

Whether the test of free-flight stall/spin can be carried out successfully, it depends on the airborne anti-stall parachute system, the performance indexes of the system are related to the test pilots’ safety directly. There are large numbers of test signals in the system and half of them are transient pulse signals, so it requires high real-time capability and data throughput level. Thus the danger of the Ignition testing experiment, Telemetry Tracking Monitoring is requisite. To satisfy the need of measuring electric parameters of an airborne anti-stall parachute system, a multi-thread real-time DAQ system of multi-task is constructed, using dual-core industrial computer and high-speed DAQ card as its core, LabWindows/CVI as VI software platform. By a method of dual-core parallel processing through OS kernel, system accomplishes multi-channel data acquisition with high real-timing and huge data throughput, and through TCP/IP, ODBC interface, remote measurement and database management is also accomplished. At the last, the system design a modularize software by DLL technology, packaging several functional modules in DLL form. This system implements the multi-thread mechanism and its synchronization, TCP/IP communication and parallel processing under LabWindows/CVI platform. Finally high real-timing and reliability of this system are validated by experiment.

This article uses Go Concurrency Patterns, combined with transmission control protocol (TCP) full connection scanning and GIMP Toolkit (GTK) graphic display technology, to develop a tool called HIRFL Scanner. It can scan IP addresses in any range with any ports. This is a very fast, installation-free, cross-platform IP address and port scanning tool. Finally, a series of experiments show that the tool developed in this paper is much faster than the same type of software, and meets the expected development needs.

SOPC technology gives full play to the advantages of both FPGA and ARM that complement each other, leading to better real-time performance and is more convenient for hardware realization.
