This study analyzes the post-September 11 Taliban’s discourse, exploring particularly the sujet of the battle of Maiwand (July 27, 1880) in the Taliban’s tarani (pl. of tarana “chant, song”). After providing a brief history of the post-September 11 conflict in Afghanistan, the paper examines Afghanistan’s experience of colonialism in the 19th century by discussing the Anglo-Afghan wars, with a focus on the battle of Maiwand and its importance in the modern history of Afghanistan. This study takes a postcolonial and postmodernist approach to discourse analysis. Using a postmodernist approach, the author tried to understand how the Taliban saw the post-September 11, 2001 conflict, and how they legitimized their actions. This study concludes that the Taliban used Afghanistan’s past experience of colonialism in their discourse. In fact, they refer to the historical events and personalities, those led resistance against colonial powers in the 19th century, for propaganda purposes. In addition, the paper shows that the colonial past is an important factor in the success or failure of interventions and peacekeeping missions, particularly in Afghanistan.

AbstractThe current view of the geographical ranges of lichens is often distorted by overly narrow or overly broad applications of names and by insufficient survey of most regions of the world. Here we present several cases where species of Teloschistaceae formerly thought to be limited to rather small territories in the western or eastern parts of Eurasia are in fact widespread in northern Eurasia. We support our findings with ITS nrDNA data in several new trees showing relationships in the genera Athallia, Calogaya, Caloplaca, Flavoplaca and Gyalolechia. The widespread species have little in common, except that most of them reproduce both sexually and asexually, and we discuss the possible influence of the combined reproduction on geographical range. Calogaya bryochrysion, Calogaya saxicola, Gyalolechia epiphyta and Gyalolechia ussuriensis are new combinations. Calogaya alaskensis is a younger synonym for C. bryochrysion. The generally arctic-alpine Calogaya bryochrysion also occurs on the bark of solitary trees in dry parts of the Altai Mountains. The Australian Flavoplaca cranfieldii is a younger synonym of F. flavocitrina. Gyalolechia epiphyta has been described numerous times, from different regions and substrata, as Caloplaca juniperi, C. laricina, C. tarani, Gyalolechia arizonica and G. juniperina. The name Gyalolechia xanthostigmoidea has recently been used for G. epiphyta, but it represents a distinct taxon. Gyalolechia ussuriensis is closely related to and morphologically indistinguishable from G. persimilis, but they have a different ecology and distribution and we regard them as distinct species. Caloplaca juniperina Tomin is lectotypified.

The comparison of socio economic development of Tarai and Nepal is the comparison of development of total Nepal with its southern part Tarai. Socio economically southern belt of Nepal, Tarai is leading whole Nepal in development. There are not any significant impacts of conflicts of Tarai in one and half decade, in socio economic development of rural development of Tarai. The comparative study has selected timeline of 2004, 2011 and 2019 to collect and analyze the socioeconomic indicators based on data of Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS Data). It is the study of literacy rate, access to electricity, GDP Growth rate and Per capita income of Nepal and Tarai region in different point of time of conflicts and resiliencies. The literacy rate was 55%, 65%, and72% in Tarai and 49%, 60% and 69% in Nepal; access to electricity were 40%, 78% and 95% in Tarai and 37%, 65% and 96% in Nepal. Similarly, Gross Domestic Product (GDP) Growth rate was 5%, 5% and 7.2% in Tarai and 4.7 %, 3.4%, and 7.1% in Nepal; Per capita income in USD was 300, 629 and 1100 in Tarai and 286, 610, and 1034 in Nepal from 2004, 2011, and 2019respectively. Therefore, Tarai is leading Nepal in socio economic development.

Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di perpustakaan Politeknik Perkeretaapian Indonesia dengan peserta taruna-taruni Prodi D III Teknologi Elektronika Perkeretaapian. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini berupa pembelajaran secara tatap muka dengan menggunakan laptop bagi masing-masing peserta. Hasil dari kegiatan ini taruna-taruni menjadi mampu untuk mencari referensi, memanajemen referensi, mensitasi dan membuat daftar pustaka menggunakan mendeley. Setelah pelaksanaan kegiatan taruna-taruni dapat membuat proposal tugas menggunakan mendeley.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) seberapa besar pengaruh kedisiplinan taruna/ taruni terhadap hasil pembelajaran, (2) seberapa besar pengaruh kenyamanan taruna/ taruni di asrama kampus Akpelni terhadap hasil pembelajaran, (3) faktor pendukung dan penghambat kedisiplinan taruna/ taruni dalam meningkatkan hasil pembelajaran.
Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah taruna/ taruni angkatan 51 dan 52 dengan jumlah 1080 orang. Pengumpulan data dengan metode kuesioner untuk mengumpulkan data Kedisiplinan dan Kenyamanan di Asrama kampus Akpelni, sedangkan metode dokumentasi untuk mengetahui Hasil pembelajaran.
Uji coba instrumen ini dilakukan terhadap 92 taruna/ taruni angkatan 51 dan 52 prodi KPN, Nautika dan Teknika, analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis regresi ganda. Sebelum analisis data terlebih dahulu diadakan pengujian persyaratan analisis meliputi uji Normalitas, Heterokedastisitas dan Autokorelasi.
Hasil penelitian ini adalah: (1) Terdapat pengaruh kedisiplinan terhadap hasil pembelajaran yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai t hitung lebih besar dari t tabel yaitu: 2,900 > 1,987 dengan koefisien determinasi sebesar 0,165 yang artinya sebesar 1,65 % variabel ini mempengaruhi hasil pembelajaran. (2) Terdapat pengaruh kenyamanan di asrama kampus Akpelni terhadap hasil pembelajaran yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai t hitung lebih besar dari t tabel yaitu: 1,987 < 2,834 > -1,987 dengan koefisien determinasi sebesar 0,165 yang artinya sebesar 1,65 % variabel ini mempengaruhi hasil pembelajaran. (3) faktor pendukung dan penghambat kedisiplinan taruna/ taruni dalam meningkatkan hasil pembelajaran adalah tujuan/ kurikulum, lingkungan kampus, siswa (taruna/ taruni) dan sikap dosen. Persamaan garis regresi ganda Y = 100,698 +0,689X1+1,082X2.

Ethnicity, social inclusion/exclusion and inequality have been much more important and also equally debatable issues in contemporary Nepal. Some scholars (Bhattachan, 2009, 1995; Gurung, 1997; Gurung, 2012; Lawoti, 2005, 2012; Mabuhang, 2012) argue Bahuns, particularly hill Bahuns is the most privileged group with highest access to resources and opportunities and all other non-Brahmans such as Janajatis, Dalits, Madheshi, Muslims, and so on are the most deprived/excluded groups with least access to resources and opportunities. This paper, in contrast, based on NSII(2014) data, argues that Madhesis is neither a single nor a homogeneous group rather it is a broader caste/ethnic category which includes a number of Tarai/Madhesh caste/ethnic groups distinctly different from each other in terms of education, health, economy and politics. Some caste/ethnic groups, within Tarai/Madhesh groups or Madhesis, have better access to resources and opportunities and other Tarai/Madhesh groups have poor access to resources and opportunities. This kind of intra-group inequality can also be observed within all caste/ethnic groups of Tarai/Madhesh; Tarai Brahman/Chhetri, Tarai Dalit, Tarai Janajati, other Tarai Castes, and Muslims including heterogeneous Bahuns (Gautam, 2015). Therefore, Madhesis, as broader Tarai/Madhesh caste/ethnic group, is neither a single nor a homogeneous group rather it is a heterogeneous category with wider inter-group inequality in terms of access to resources and opportunities. Jumlah populasi penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 1291 Taruna / Taruni. Jumlah sampel penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 130 Taruna / taruniTehnik pengambilan sampel menggunakan Stratified random sampling yaitu pengambilan sampel secara kelompok acak sederhana. Pelaksanaan Pendidikan Karakter Disiplin pada PIP Makassar sudah berjalan dengan baik sesuai dengan Pola Pengasuhan Taruna dan dituangkan didalam peraturan tata tertib taruna, tingkat kedisiplinan taruna/taruni masuk di kategori baik sesuai dari hasil olah data kuesioner, hanya saja pengawasan masih perlu ditingkatkan lagi dan menggunakan pola ataumetode pembiasaan - pembiasaan yang positif mengenai kedisiplinan dan taat pada aturan, karena membangun Pendidikan Karakter Disiplin bagi para taruna / taruni tidaklah mudah, butuh proses yang ekstra untuk memberikan bimbingan terhadap para taruna / taruni, itu semua harus di mulai dari lingkungan instansi pendidikan dengan menerapkan sistem yang bermutu dan lingkungan yang positif sesuai dengan istilah mendidik karakter dengan karakter. Untuk mencegah tindakan pelanggaran disiplin harus menerapkan sanksi akademik yang berefek jera kepada taruna / taruni yang sering melakukan kesalahan atau tindakan pelanggaran disiplin secara berulang – ulang sehingga bisa memberikan pelajaran buat taruna yangmelanggar serta buat taruna /taruni yang lain untuk tidak melakukan pelanggaran tindakan disiplin .

Stres pada taruna/taruni baru disebabkan kesulitan dalam melakukan penyesuaian diri dibidang akademik maupun non akademik. Binafital bagaian dari syarat wajib untuk taruna/taruni baru sebelum mereka dikatakan sebagai taruna/taruni. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui strategi manajemen coping program pembinaan fisik dan mental dalam mempersiapkan calon taruna/taruni baru Politeknik Bumi Akpelni. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif berdasarkan observasi langsung kepada narasumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan manajemen coping stres diketahui bahwa subjek berjenis kelamin laki-laki 75,6 % lebih banyak menggunakan problem focused coping dibandingkan menggunakan emotion focused coping 24,4 %. Subjek berjenis kelamin perempuan 87% secara keseluruhan lebih menggunakan problem focused coping dibandingkan menggunakan emotion focused coping 23%.

The Black Irtysh floodplain willow and poplar forests are separated into a new alliance, Rubio dolichophyllae—Populion albae Taran all. nov. (Salicetalia purpureae Moor 1958, Salicetea purpureae Moor 1958), which includes the associations Rubio dolichophyllae—Populetum albae Taran 1997 and Rubio dolichophyllae—Salicetum albae Taran ass. nov. The Halimodendron halodendron community is probably related to the class Nerio-Tamaricetea Br.-Bl. et de Bolós 1958. White poplar forests in the Irtysh R. upper reaches, described within the Semipalatinsk city limits, belong to the association Heracleo dissecti—Populetum albae Taran 1997 and its subassociation H. d. —P. a. lamietosum albi Taran 1997 (Equiseto hyemalis—Populion nigrae Taran 1997, Salicetalia purpureae Moor 1958).

This paper examines the interplay between malaria, the Tarai Adivasi and the extractive landlord state in the 19th century Nepal by focusing on Dhimal, one indigenous community from the easternmost lowlands. Throughout the 19th century, the Nepali state and its rulers treated the Tarai as a state geography of extraction for land, labor, revenue and political control. The malarial environment of the Tarai, which led to the shortage people (labor force), posed a major challenge to the 19th century extractive landlord state and the landowning elites to materialize the colonizing project in the Tarai. The shortage of labor added pressure on the malaria resistant Tarai Adivasi to reclaim and cultivate land for the state. Juvenile delinquency requires handling from various sides, including schools in the form of character education. Ketarunaan system has proven to be effective in character building. Purpose of this research is to describe the role of ketarunaan system that is implemented at SMKN 61 Jakarta for overcoming juvenile delinquency. Research approach which is used for this research is qualitative approach and it was conducted from January-July 2020. The data is collected by interview and observation of taruna/taruni, schools, and taruna-taruni parents. Informants from taruna-taruni are students who have juvenile delinquency history in the heavy category; from various grade of class and who shown a change. Data analysis was carried out by open, axial, and selective coding. Result of the research shows that Ketarunaan system consist of 3 development models: intrakurikuler, ko-kurikuler, and ekstrakurikuler. Three development models form discipline character, independence, and responsible in taruna-taruni. The density of their activities makes them reduce their free time to do negative activities. The number of delinquency which is committed by taruna/taruni is significantly reduced. It was concluded that ketarunaan system which is implemented by SMKN 61 Jakarta was effective in overcoming the problem of juvenile delinquency.

Seven third instar larvae of the reindeer warble fly (Hypoderma (=Oedemagena) tarandi) were found in a 2-3 year old male red deer {Cervus elaphus) shot on 14 November 1985 at Todalen, western Norway. This it, the first report of H. tarandi from red deer. In reindeer third instar larvae are found from February to June, and the unusual date of this record indicates a delayed development of the larvae due to abnormal host reactions. Warble fly larvae, probably H. tarandi, are also reported from moose {Alces alces) in northern Norway.

Banyak sekali rahasia dan keistimewaan yang terkandung di dalam Al-Qur’an, salah satunya yaitu dari aspek bahasa. Penggunaan kata di dalam Al-Qur’an tidak hanya dari segi keindahan saja, tetapi juga dari aspek makna yang nantinya akan menghadirkan paham yang berbeda. Seperti halnya kata al-Tamanni dan al-Taraji di dalam al-Qur’an. Apabila diartikan kata al-Tamanni dan al-Taraji memiliki arti pengharapan. Seringkali ada yang menganggap bahwa al-Tamanni dan taraji memiliki makna yang sama, tetapi pada dasarnya kedua lafadz tersebut memiliki makna yang berbeda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk dapat menganalisa dan memahami makna uslub al-Tamanni dan al-Taraji dan bagaimana penerapannya di dalam QS. Al-Baqarah: 94, 95 dan 218. Metode yang digunakan penulis dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan ilmu stilistika yaitu pendekatan gaya bahasa. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu di dalam QS. Al-Baqarah: 94 dan 95 disana tidak terdapat uslub al-Tamanni tetapi di dalam QS. An-Naba: 40, disana memakai adat dengan lafadz لَيْتَ berfungsi sebagai mengungkapan pengharapan yang mustahil dan sangat jauh, seperti harapan mereka (orang-orang kafir) supaya menjadi tanah kembali agar terhindar dari ancaman azab Allah SWT. dan pengharapan mereka merupakan angan-angan yang sia-sia. Dan uslub al-Taraji terdapat pada QS. Al-Baqarah: 218 disana menggunakan lafadz يَرْجُوْن pengharapan pada ayat ini memeliki makna al-Taraji yang mana pengharapan disini disertai denganrasa khawatir, yang mana khawatir ini menghadirkan iktiar merekadalam mencari ridha Allah SWT.

O fragmentų – Auciema Dumpji, Viksnas kapusils Raunoje, Sulieši laidojimo paminkle Jaunburtniekuose ir tarand II kape Kaugars kapinyne Raunoje. Datavimą B2 periodu patvirtina radiniai pilkapiuose Šiaurės Rytų Latvijos laidojimo paminkluose, kurie jau nebeegzistuoja B2 periode. Pavyzdžiui, alavinių kulkšnies apykojų ir rankogalinių apyrankių buvo aptikta trijuose pilkapiuose, bet nė viena nebuvo aptikta tarand tipo akmenų kape Salenieki laidojimo paminkle, kur seniausieji radiniai gali būti datuotini B2 periodu. Pilkapiai yra senesni (ankstyvesni) ir gali būti datuojami B2 periodu todėl, kad vienu atveju kapo akmeninė konstrukcija yra virš pilkapio. A retrospective analysis of the incidence of reindeer with O. tarandi larvae in the Tazovskiy region of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area in the period from 2013 to 2018 was carried out. Edemagenosis of the reindeer (n 68096) was diagnosed in a planned slaughter (November-December) when parasite larvae were found on the surface of animal carcasses and skins. The extensiveness of edemagenous invasion ranged from 8.53% in 2015 to 16.45% in 2014, and in 2013 was 11.84%, 2016 – 15.105, 2017 – 11.36%, 2018 – 15.65%. The average long-term extensiveness of reindeer invasion by O. tarandi larvae was 13.05%. To prevent the pathogenetic ef-fect of O. tarandi larvae on the reindeer organism, early chemotherapy is carried out from the last decade of August to the second - third decade of October with prepara-tions based on macrocyclic lactones. Part of the owners of animals do not carry out processing of reindeer, intended for slaughter. In addition to early chemotherapy, in order to increase the effectiveness of measures to combat the defeat of reindeer from O. tarandi, measures should be taken to protect animals from gnat attacks, which will also provide protection from the attacks of gad-flies imago.Edemagenosis of the reindeer is an invasion caused by parasitizing the larvae of Oede-magena tarandi. The infestation of reindeer by this parasite is recorded in all habitats.

Sedangkan bagi responden taruni range IKPi yang diberikan terendah 2,200 dan tertinggi 3,00. Pada Kelompok dosen labo ekonomi pelayanan unsur terendah oleh taruna 2,15 dan tertinggi 2,700, sedangkan persepsi yang diberikan oleh taruni unsur terendah dengan nilai 2,15 dan tertinggi 3,00. Pada Kelompok Dosen labo penyuluhan persepsi taruna unsur terendah dengan nilai 2,200 dan tetinggi 3,00, sedangkan yang diberikan oleh taruni unsur terendah dengan nilai 2,300 dan unsur tertinggi dengan nilai 3,00. Nilai Indek Kepuasan Taruna (IKTa) bagi kelompok dosen labo teknologi diperoleh nilai sebesar 62,214, dengan kriteria kinerja Baik, sedangkan untuk Nilai Indek Kepuasan Tarunai (IKTi) sebesar 69,58, dengan kriteria kinerja Sangat Baik. The performance of tethered flies on a laboratory flight mill was used to assess the flight capacity of Hypoderma tarandi (L.) and Cephenemyia trompe (Modeer). Maximum total flying times for H. tarandi females were 31.5 h, but most flies flew < 20 h (mean 8.5 h (SD 7.2 h)). The longest continuous flight was 12 h. For both species, mating greatly altered the flight behaviour of females. Unmated laboratory-reared females were reluctant to fly, and flew less continuously than mated wild-caught flies. Hypoderma tarandi males typically flew for short periods of a few minutes with long rests between flights. Cephenemyia trompe females seldom exceeded 10 h of total flying time (mean 4.9 h (SD 3.2 h), maximum 10.8 h), but were capable of many hours of sustained flight. Field-trapped C. trompe males normally flew < 8 h (mean 2.8 h (SD 2.1 h), maximum 7.1 h). In free flight the speed of C. trompe males was ≈8 m/s. Maximum flight distances during the lifetime of a fly were estimated to be 600–900 km for female H. tarandi, 220–330 km for female C. trompe, and 200–400 km for males of both species. Hypoderma tarandi could maximally reduce its mass to about 40% of initial mass, and the mass loss rate during flight was 3.5-fold that of basal metabolism (i.e., without flying) at 22 °C. The adaptive significance of the extraordinary capacity for sustained flight of female oestrids is related to the migratory behaviour of their vertebrate host, Rangifer tarandus (L.).

Nepal houses only inland freshwater wetlands, ranging from floodplains of snow-melt-fed cold Himalayan rivers, warm rivers originating in the mid hills, high altitudinal glacial lakes to hot springs, ponds, ox-bow lakes, marshes and swamps. These wetlands support several endemic and globally threatened species of flora and fauna. Besides, wetland sites have significant recreational, religio-cultural and spiritual values. There are over 240 wetland sites in Nepal, of which 163 are in the Terai (plain lowland). Wetlands found in Tarai are comparatively more inventoried than the wetlands of mountains and the Himalayan regions of the country. The Terai region (below 300 m) covers about 14% of the country's total area, where half of Nepal's total populations exist. About 11% population of the country is wetland dependent; majority of them are living in the Terai region. The country has nine Ramsar sites, of which, four are in the Tarai region. Among them, two sites (Koshi Tappu wetland, and Beeshazar and associated lakes) lie inside the protected areas and two sites (Ghodaghodi Lake area and Jagadishpur Reservoir) are distributed outside the protected areas. The Koshi Tappu wetland lies along the floodplains of the Sapta Koshi River in the eastern Tarai within the Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve. It is the first Ramsar site in Nepal. Beeshazar and associated lakes lies in the buffer zone of the Chitwan National Park along the inner Tarai of Central Nepal. The Ghodaghodi Lake Area (2500 ha) lies in the far western Nepal, and comprises about 14 large and small ox-bow lakes/ponds with associated marshes, swamps, river/streams, springs, seasonal marshy grasslands and human made wetlands, out of them, Ghodaghodi Lake (138 ha) is the largest natural lake in the Nepal's Tarai. The lake system falls between the Bardia National Park and the Suklaphanta Wildlife Reserve of the country and the surrounding forest functions as an important corridor for the movement of wildlife between these as well as the Tarai and the northern Siwalik hills. Similarly, the Jagadishpur Reservoir (225 ha) which lies in Central Nepal's Tarai is the largest man-made wetland in Nepal for irrigation purpose. It is an important site for migratory and resident birds. In this paper we highlight the status, threats, conservation issues and management practices of these Ramsar sites lying in Nepal Tarai. Seberapakah luas cakupan keberlakuan prinsip ini dalam akad-akad muamalat, apakah hanya terbatas dalam akad tijarah saja sebagaimana disebutkan dalam Surat An-Nisa’ ayat 29? Lalu apakah ungkapan kerelaan seseorang dalam melakukan akad terlarang dapat merubah status hukumnya yang asalnya haram menjadi halal, seperti orang berjudi atau utang piutang dengan riba? Besekolah di sekolah berbasis taruna mengharuskannya untuk mengikuti seluruh kegiatan pembelajaran yang menerapkan disiplin taruna. Baik kegiatan akademik dan non akademik akan menerapkan peraturan dengan semi militer. Khususnya kegiatan ketarunaan yang memerlukan fisik ekstra, para taruni tetap melaksanakan kewajibannya dengan berbagai kendala yang ia hadapi. Tugasnya sebagai remaja menjadi tantangan tambahan dalam menjalani hari-harinya sebagai taruni. Ia akan berjuang saat di tempa dengan didikan semi militer hingga terbentuk suatu kepribadian utuh hingga ia menemukan jati diri yang handal dan mantap sehingga ia bisa berdiri dengan anggun dan sejajar dengan para taruna atau pria.

Abstract Tool for the Analysis of Radiations from lightnings and Sprites (TARANIS) is a French Space Agency’s (CNES) satellite mission planned for launch in 2020. It is designed for investigating phenomena related to thunderstorm activity, transient luminous events (TLEs) and amongst them – red sprites. The satellite is equipped with cameras, photometers, energetic particles detectors, ion probe and electromagnetic sensors of wide frequency spectrum. It will be the most versatile satellite for measuring TLEs ever sent to space. In this article, theories that are fundamental for understanding sprites and sprites-related measurements of TARANIS mission are presented. The current state of sprites phenomenology and their possible generation mechanisms are presented. The article briefly covers streamer discharges, cloud charge structure at the TLE occurrence, electric breakdown of the air and Runaway Relativistic Electron Avalanche (RREA). At the end, TARANIS mission equipment and goals that are related to presented theories are presented.

AbstractThe second half of the 1990s saw the emergence of a new, distinctive type of Afghan poetry, the Taliban tarana performed in Pashto by one or more vocalists without instrumental accompaniment and characterised by the melodic modes of local folk music. Over the last fifteen years the tarana chants have gained wide distribution within Afghanistan and Pashto speaking parts of Pakistan, as well as among the Pashtun diaspora. Considering their unambiguous ideological status and their immense popularity within the country of origin they can be regarded as the signature tune of the Afghan insurgency. The present article, which focuses on the literary roots of these songs, attempts to demonstrate that their authors are following century old patterns of Pashto oral and written poetry while adopting traditional material to the needs and the milieu of contemporary Afghan society. The publication is supplemented by a transcription and English translation of five tarana chants.

Madhesh movement is a series of spontaneous, aggressive responses and reaction caused by social injustices and discriminatory activities, imposed by the state on the part of the Tarai-Madhesh inhabitants (the Madheshis) for centuries. Although it was dormant during the whole past centuries, it exploded in 2007 in a more exposable and organized way. The Madhesh movement has connection with Maoist movement; it is result of Maoist movement. The Madheshi learnt to revolt by the Maoist and followed the same sorts of strategy to motivate the Madheshi people in Tarai-Madhesh. The Madhesh movement has been playing a vital role in the mainstream politics of Nepal, forming significant socio-political discourse. This study has used semi-structural interview, key informant interview, focus group discussion and case study method. The secondary data available in news series and journals helps to analyze of post-displacement impact in Tarai-Madhesh. The Tarai-Madhesh is demographically a very heterogeneous mixture of the people of the Madheshi origin and people of the Pahade (Hill people) origin. However, the Madhesh movement caused some degrees of displacement on the part of the people of the Pahade origin, on the basis of geographical and ethnic roots. Socio-economic life of displaced households in the Tarai-Madhesh (post-displacement impact): Regarding displacement, mostly the people of Pahade (hill people) origin were targeted by the Madhesh movement activists in Madheshi majority locations and were forced to get displaced. However, surprisingly, the displaced inhabitants held no complaints against the displacement inducing circumstances and were quickly adapted to the new relocated places.

Dowry system is a burning issue in the Nepalese and Indian society. In Nepal, dowry practice is more prevalent in the Tarai region in the border areas between Nepal and India. Dowry practice has been found mostly in higher caste and higher educated family of Madheshi people. Among them Yadav and Sah Caste has its higher and higher practices. They have been found to giving continuity of dowry to main social prestige and can't leave the social cultures that have strongly rooted in Madheshi community. It is difficult and bad situation of Tarai in regards of women violence that is directly and indirectly interlinked with dowry practice. So in this article I argued that practice of dowry is increasing day by day but the cases are in hidden way. Based on key informants this study highly demands for removing of this dowry practice from Tarai. It is needed of further research activity, effective formulation and implementation of government Laws & Policies and to punish those who are directly and indirectly involved in giving and taking dowry. Thus way it is expected that the life of young married girls could be saved in the Tarai region of Nepal, particularly in my study area.

This study aims to determine the resulting increase studying social sciences (IPS) student class VI SDN 024 Tarai Bangun Kecamatan Tambang through the application of learning strategies go to yuor post, which carried out for 1 month. The subjects were VI SDN 024 Tarai Bangun Kecamatan Tambang by the number of students as many as 38 people. Form of research is classroom action research. The research instrument consists of instruments and instrument performance data collection activity observation sheet form teacher and student activity. Based on the research, the conclusion to this study is based on the analysis and discussion in chapter IV can be concluded that the application of learning strategies go to yuor post can improve learning outcomes in the subject of social sciences grade VI SDN 024 Tarai Bangun Kecamatan Tambang. Evidenced by the increase in learning outcomes before action to the first cycle, to cycle II. Before the act of student learning outcomes classified as unresolved with an average of 59%, an increase in the first cycle by an average of 69%. While the results of student learning in the second cycle must be increased by an average of 75% with the category completed.

Different situations and lifestyles in the military education academy require the women Navy cadets to adapt to high levels of stress. Stress can potentially disrupt the menstrual cycle and worsen the symptoms of premenstrual syndrome (PMS) which can reduce their performance as military cadets. This study aims to determine the effect of psychoeducation of Care For Menstruation (C4ME) on overcoming PMS problems in the Navy Academy. C4ME covers health counseling activities that provide information about menstruation and involves interventions based on cognitive-behavioral techniques to cope with PMS symptoms. This quasi-experiment used non-randomized one-group pretest-posttest design. Fifteen women Navy cadets were recruited. Quantitative data were collected using questionnaires of knowledge and attitude towards menstruation and were analyzed using a parametric statistical t-correlated sample. Qualitative data were collected from interviews before and after the intervention and were analyzed using a content analysis. The results show that C4ME psychoeducation is effective in increasing knowledge of menstruation (p = 0.01), changing participants' attitudes toward menstruation being more positive (p <0.01) and decreasing the symptoms of PMS experienced by participants.Keywords: C4ME Psychoeducation, premenstrual syndrome, women navy cadet Abstrak: Perbedaan situasi dan gaya hidup di akademi pendidikan militer menuntut para taruni Akademi Angkatan Laut (AAL) untuk beradaptasi dengan level stres yang tinggi. Stres berpotensi dapat mengganggu siklus menstruasi dan memperparah gejala sindrom pramenstruasi (PMS) yang dapat menurunkan produktifitas taruni. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh psikoedukasi Care For Menstruation (C4ME) dalam mengatasi masalah PMS pada taruni AAL. Program psikoedukasi meliputi kegiatan penyuluhan kesehatan dan intervensi dengan teknik kognitif-perilaku untuk mengatasi gejala PMS. Metode kuasi-eksperimen dengan non-randomized design one-grup pretest-posttest digunakan. Partisipan penelitian adalah lima belas orang taruni AAL. Data kuantitatif tentang pengetahuan dan sikap terhadap menstruasi diukur menggunakan kuesioner, sedangkan data kualitatif diperoleh melalui wawancara sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan intervensi. Data kuantitatif dianalisis dengan statistik parametrik t-correlated sample, sedangkan data kualitatif dianalisis menggunakan analisis konten. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa psikoedukasi tentang menstruasi efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan (p=0,01), mengubah sikap partisipan menjadi lebih positif terhadap menstruasi (p<=0,01), dan menurunkan gejala PMS pada para taruni.

There are still many lacunae in the biographies of the Russian and Turkestan prominent religious scholars of the 19th and 20th centuries. In some cases, the biographies of their acquaintances and counterparts could provide some important data which are missing elsewhere. The present article describes two episodes from the history of acquaintance of the renowned Tatar theologian Musa Bigeev and Sayyid Mahmud Tarazi, a prominent scholar from Turkestan, who was forced to emigrate from early Soviet Central Asia and later became one of the leaders of the Turkestan diaspora in the Middle East. The author cites information from the biographies of both scholars and argues that they may have temporarily belonged to the same émigré circles, and were acquainted with each other. A research of their respective biographies indicates that Bigeev and Tarazi met in Bombay in the 1930s and also may have known each other for twenty years prior to their emigration.The subject addressed in this article is of particular significance in reconstructing the history of contacts between the Russian and Turkestan religious scholars during their emigration and in the period preceding it.Key words: Musa Bigeev, Sayyid Mahmud Tarazi, biography, emigration, Kabul, Bombay, Bukhara.

SUMMARYMuscle tissue from 37 red deer from Norway was examined for sarcocysts. Sarcocysts from 2 reindeer were obtained for comparative studies. Cysts were excised and morphologically classified by light microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and DNA sequence analysis. Five Sarcocystis species, Sarcocystis hjorti n. sp., Sarcocystis hardangeri, Sarcocystis ovalis, Sarcocystis rangiferi, and Sarcocystis tarandi, were found. All 5 species have previously been identified from either reindeer or moose by their sarcocyst morphology and/or ssu rRNA gene sequence. S. hjorti was the most prevalent species. Multiple variants of the ssu rRNA gene and the first internal transcribed spacer were found in S. rangiferi and S. tarandi from both red deer and reindeer. Phylogenetic analyses indicated that S. tarandi occurs in both red deer and reindeer, but it could not be clearly demonstrated whether the sequence variation within S. rangiferi between hosts was due to different paralogues or/and different species. DNA sequencing was necessary for definitive species identification, since the hair-like protrusions on the cysts of S. hjorti were not always recognizable by light microscopy and since different cervids harbour Sarcocystis species with highly similar cyst morphology of which at least some are not intermediate host specific.

This study aims to determine the increase motivation to learn PKN sixth grade students of SDN 024 Tarai Build Kampar through Giving Methods Task, which is carried out for 1 month. The subjects were sixth Grade SDN 024 Tarai Bangun by the number of students as many as 24 people. Form of research is classroom action research. The research instrument consists of instruments and instrument performance data collection activity observation sheet form teacher and student activity. Based on the analysis and discussion before it can be concluded that with the implementation of such a method the task may increase motivation to learn civics class VI students at SDN 024 Tarai Bangun. Increasing student motivation seen in the first cycle is high achieving a score of 78, with an average of motivation to learn by 54.2%. While on the second cycle reached a score of 111 with an average student motivation by 77.1% and classified as very high. Although the application of the methods of the task is still no indicators have yet mencapi criteria for success or below 75%, which is the second indicator (2) an increase in the effort to learn, but an outline and in the last indicator (6) studied seriously suffered, student motivation has managed to reach 77.1% of the benchmark used is the average over 75%

Anemia is one of the public health problems that need more attention of the female because they experience menstruation and they are in the growth phase. From the data of Semarang City Health Office in 2011, it is shown the incidence of anemia in adolescents aged 10-19 years old are 68.24%. The prevention effort of the case is by measuring hemoglobin and prescribing blood supplement. The objective of the study is to find out the effect of Fe tablets on Hemoglobin in Semarang Merchant Marine Polytechnique students. The objective of the study is to find out the effect of Fe tablets on Hemoglobin in Semarang Merchant Marine Polytechnique students. This research used pre-experimental design with the two group pretest posttest. The population in this Study were all Merchant Marine Polytechnique Semarang at the 4th semester of female students amounting to 50 with the total respondents 34 respondents taken with purposive sampling technique. The data were collected by performing Hemoglobin examination. The results of the study show that the average Hemoglobin before being prescribed Fe on the intervention and control group was 11.29 g/dl. After being prescribed Fe to the intervention group, it is found the average increased to 13.69 g/dl, while in the control group it is found averaged 11.72 g/dl. Bivariate Analysis uses an independent t test, the value of t is 6.136 with a p-value of 0.000. It shows that the p-value is 0,000 <((0.05), this indicates that there is a significant difference in the decrease in Hemoglobin levels in the population after being prescribed blood supplement between the intervention and control groups in The Semarang Merchant Marine Politechnique Students. It is suggested that the female adolescents to consume more iron-containing foods or consume Fe supplements such as Fe, during menstruation.

Anemia merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan masyarakat yang perlu khusus nya pada remaja putri yang perlu mendapatkan perhatian khusus karena remaja putri mengalami mestruasi tiap bulan dan dalam masa pertumbuhan . Hasil Data Dinas Kesehatan Kota Semarang tahun 2011. Kejadian anemia pada remaja usia 10-19 sebanyak 68,24%. Untuk menangani masalah tersebut pencegahan yang dilakukan yaitu dengan cara mengukur hemoglobin dan pemberian suplemen tablet tambah darah . Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat Pengaruh Pemberian Tablet Fe Terhadap Hemoglobin Pada Taruni Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat Pengaruh Pemberian Tablet Fe Terhadap Hemoglobin Pada Taruni Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan pre-eksperimen design dengan rancangan Two group pretest posttest. Populasi dalam penelitian iniadalah seluruh taruni politeknik ilmu pelayaran semarang semester 4 berjumlah 50 taruni dengan jumlah sempel 34 responden dengan tehnik pengambilan sempel purposive sampling. Pengambilan data dengan melakukan pemeriksaan Hemoglobin. Penelitian menunjukan bahwa rata-rata Hemoglobin sebelum diberikan pada taruni kelompok intervensi dan kontrol sama yaitu 11,29 g/dl. Dan setelah diberikan pada kelompok intervensi rata-rata meningkat menjadi 13,69 g/dl, sedangkan kelompok kontrol rata-rata sebesar 11,72 g/dl. Analisis bivariate Menggunakan uji t independen, didapatkan nilai t hitung 6,136 dengan p-value sebesar 0,000. Terlihat bahwa p-value 0,000 <a (0,05), ini menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan secara signifikan penurunan (selisih) kadar Hemoglobin b pada taruni sesudah diberikan tablet penambah darah antara kelompok intervensi dan kontrol pada taruni Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang. Hendaknya bagi remaja putri lebih banyak mengomsumsi makanan yang mengandung zat besi atau mengomsumsi suplemen yang mengandung besi seperti Fe terutama saat mestruasi

Abstract In his 1916 book, Aircraft in Warfare, the Dawn of the Fourth Arm, F.W. Lanchester wrote: “The supremacy of British aircraft can only be maintained by the adoption of a thoroughly progressive constructional policy, guided constantly by the most recent scientific discovery and research, and by utilising to the full information and experience gained in the Services.” The recent successful flight trials of the Taranis low-observable unmanned demonstrator aircraft provide the latest evidence of the UK’s continued capacity for the entire design, development, manufacture, and flight testing of world-leading combat aircraft, particularly with regard to Aerodynamics. Taranis is both the culmination of many years’ research and development in the UK and a starting-point for the next generation of UK combat air systems. In this lecture, Taranis is reviewed, in such detail as current sensitivities will allow, in the wider context of UK combat aircraft aerodynamic capability, exemplified by the leading roles taken by the UK in the Tornado and Typhoon programmes and the important contribution made to the development of the F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter. The immediate technical challenges associated with the aerodynamic design and qualification of a low-observable air vehicle are considerable. In this instance they have been compounded by the balanced view taken within the project of trade-offs against many parameters. However, the UK aerodynamics community faces equally stringent challenges in terms of the identification and delivery of the most appropriate future systems; increasingly complex and demanding operational and functional requirements; and, perhaps most of all, maintaining an affordable and cost-effective capability in the face of strict budgetary pressures and austere economic conditions. Nevertheless, those challenges are accompanied by a wide range of opportunities, namely for national and international partnership; radically innovative engineering solutions and approaches; new thinking; and the engagement of the best minds and ideas in the UK academic community. Taranis represented a big integration task, requiring a particular set of skills to pull together the total package, resting on a bedrock of mastery of the technical issues. It has been an inspirational experience for those of us who have worked on it. It has demonstrated that the UK is capable of achieving the most demanding current and anticipated military aerodynamic requirements and has signposted the way to an exciting and nationally important future.

The vegetation varies from dense moist tarai sal forest to large open grassland. The vegetation close to Girwa river and its tributaries is characterized by the presence of dense canebrakes. Some artificial regeneration of exotic and indigenous species has also been done in past. The Katarniaghat WLS represents the tarai-bhabhar, bio-geographic sub-division of upper Gangetic plains. As per Champion and Seth’s (1962) classification the following forest types are recognized. This article is on the causes and consequences of child marriage in Dhanushadham Municipality of Dhanusha District that is in provision-2, Tarai Region of Nepal. Child marriage is not a new phenomenon in Nepal. The problem of child marrige was seen in Tarai region of Nepal, especially it was seen in rural area among lower caste people like; Dalits(Mushahar, Chamar & Dom) and also in some higher caste like;Yadav, Sah and Brhaman. My argument in this article is; Child marriage is socially constructed , although the scenary has some changed that youths have been found responsible for doing early marriage for the self sufficient of sexual relation. This study relies on qualitative disscussion and researcher applied purposive sampling method for collecting details information on both primary as well secondary data. Findings of the study show that marriage is not a biological event like birth or death; rather it is a social event that is determined by the society. One of the major factors for child marriage is dowry practice in Tarai that badly affected life of girls and women violence has increased due to early marriage and dowry practice. It highly shows that less dowry demand in child marriage and it incase of higher education demand high dowry. Furthermore, the study requires further study in whole province-2 and awareness among people. It highly demands to give quality and higher education for both son & daughter for ending child marriage and dowry practices. Government need to effective monitoring and strong rules and policies to decrease women violence in Tarai.

This study aims to determine the increase activeness student in classroom lesson IPA class VI.C SD Negeri 024 Tarai Bangun through application of cooperative learning model planted question, which was conducted over 1 month. The subjects were class VI.c SD Negeri 024 Tarai Bangun by the number of students as many as 27 people. Form of research is classroom action research. The research instrument consists of instruments and instrument performance data collection activity observation sheet form teacher and student activity. Based on the research, the conclusion to this study is based on the analysis and discussion in chapter IV can be inferred through cooperative learning model can improve the planted questions that activeness students in science subjects at Grade VI.C 024 SD Negeri 024 Tarai Bangun, evidenced by the increase in the activity of the students from the first cycle to the second cycle. On the preliminary data obtained average value of 42.6% of the first cycle of the first meeting students' learning activeness is low with an average of 50.9% and in the second meeting of the liveliness of the students classified as moderate with an average of 58.3%. While the activity of students in the second cycle the first meeting there was an increase by an average of 66.7% with a high category and the second meeting obtain figures, the average percentage of 80.6 with the category of very high category.
