Abstract:
The article substantiates the main characteristics of the studied device of micronization in the processing of grain feed by the method of micronization. Here, an experimental micronizer that micronizes feed grain was taken as the object of research. A multi-factor experiment was also conducted to determine the optimal distance of the infrared lamp from the quartz glass and the optimal power of the light flux. The experiments were carried out on an experimental installation equipped with a “Legrand” dimmer, which allowed changing the radiation power of the lamps. For the experiments, a symmetrical Box-Bench plan was selected from a rotatable, composite second tier. The studies were conducted on wheat, barley and velamir.

Abstract:
An important direction of increasing the efficiency of using the equipment in the agricultural sector is the control of lubricating and cooling fluids. The main direction of improving magnetic cleaning is increasing the strength characteristics of magnetic field B, increasing the heterogeneity of the magnetic field, and also increasing the area of the magnetic field affecting the cleaned material. (Research purpose) The research purpose is to study the factors determining the level of purification of motor oils from metal and mechanical impurities in the working area of the electromagnetic separator. (Materials and methods) Concentrators under the arbitrary name UMS-2M were developed and installed in the experimental unit to create an inhomogeneous magnetic field in the working area of the electromagnetic separator. The theoretical and experimental research was based on the method of active experiment planning. (Results and discussion) The developed devices for creating an inhomogeneous magnetic field are two identical infinite chains, to which rods with spiral-shaped concentrators are attached with equal pitch. The symmetric second-order rotatable uniform plan is implemented to obtain a model of creating a force characteristic of a magnetic field. The article presents the results of theoretical and experimental studies that determine the main factors affecting the level of purification of motor oils in the working area of the separator. Three-dimensional response surfaces with variants of factor values are presented. The optimal values of the design parameters of the magnetic field concentrators of the electromagnetic separator were determined. (Conclusions) It is shown that the optimal parameters of magnetic field concentrators installed in the working area of the UMS-2M electromagnetic separator are: wire diameters of 3 millimeters, the distance between the threads of the concentrator is 11 mm. At the same time, the distance between the concentrators should not exceed 30 millimeters with an applied voltage of 48-50 volt.

Abstract:
In this paper, a study of second order slope rotatable designs under intra-class correlation error structure using two suitably chosen dissimilar incomplete block designs like balanced incomplete block designs and symmetrical unequal block arrangements with two unequal block sizes are suggested. Further, we study the variance of the estimated slopes for different values of the intra-class correlation coefficient (ρ) and the distance from the centre (d) for v factors are suggested. Some illustrative examples are also suggested.

Abstract:
Box and Hunter [1] introduced the concept of rotatability for response surface designs. The concept of slope-rotatability was introduced by Hader and Park [2] as an analogous to rotatability property, which is an important design criterion for response surface design. Slope-rotatable design is that of which the variance of partial derivative is a function of distance from the design (d). Recently, a few measures of slope-rotatability for a given response surface design was introduced. In this paper, a new method of slope rotatability for second order response surface designs under tri-diagonal correlation structure of errors using a pair of symmetrical unequal block arrangements with two unequal block sizes is studied. Further, a study on the dependence of variance function of the second order response surface at different design points for different values of tri-diagonal correlation coefficient ρ which lies between -0.9 to 0.9 and the distance from centre (d) is suggested.

Abstract:
In this work a novel vertical-axis wind turbine is presented which can catch a wide range of wind velocities at high efficiencies. The wind turbine consists of a rotatable horizontal platform, where three symmetric blades are arranged which rotate with half of the platform angular speed but in opposite direction relative to it. The rotation of the blades allows them to adapt to the varying angle of attack of the wind during one revolution of the platform. The important characteristic is the design feature that the blades are inclined outwards to the vertical axis of the platform by an angle of about 20 deg. The inclination leads to an increased circumferential velocity along the blade span, so that the increasing wind velocity with height can be better captured. Also the chord length of the blades increases with the spanwise position. In order to better utilize the wind flow, guide vanes can be arranged which increase the flow to those blades currently moving with the wind and in return flow can even give proper windshield. The articulated blades are connected to the horizontal platform via a special planetary bevel gear box, so that the relative rotational movement of them is controlled by the rotating platform, in fact a rotating gear box. This unit itself is connected to a generator thus producing electrical energy. The wind turbine can be tracked to a changed wind direction by means of rotating the stationary center bevel-gear wheel, which at given wind direction is then kept at constant position. In this paper the design of wind turbine is described in detail and the advantages of the novel vertical-axis turbine are discussed. First CFD investigations of a 2D section without guide vanes are presented. They show that maximum power can be achieved for a wide range of speed ratios. The calculated power coefficient is about 0.36, an interesting value for vertical-axis wind turbines.
