The fundamental element of sustainability in the health system is the financial sustainability that is at the heart of the health policy debate. Factors such as the aging of the world population, the emergence of new technological developments, increasing expectation and demand from the health system, increasing access to health services, and seeking quality health care services have begun to create significant pressures on health systems and threaten the financial sustainability of health systems. Sustainability and financial sustainability are very important concepts in evaluating countries’ health systems. However, there are no consensus definitions on these concepts in the literature. The aim of this study is to give information about the concepts of sustainability and financial sustainability, which have become an important topic of discussion in the health systems of the world countries in recent years, and to evaluate these concepts in terms of the health system.

This article discusses initial experiences with a new assurance service: the verification of sustainability reports providing assertions regarding financial, environmental, and social issues. For illustration purposes, references to the verification of The Shell Report 2000 are made. Because of the new content and format of sustainability reports, established standards for reporting and verification are not yet available. Therefore, applying specifically developed criteria is inevitable. In this article, examples and characteristics of criteria that are needed to evaluate management assertions regarding sustainability are described. Furthermore, verification procedures that can be used and the content and design of a conclusion on a sustainabilty audit are described. It can be concluded that the verification of sustainability reports is a very challenging assurance service for financial auditors. Academics should be challenged as well, because of the need for further research in this area.

Abstract:
Abstract Teacher education for sustainability is a central part of integrating sustainability into classrooms and schools. However, educating for sustainability isnot limited to increased content knowledge; rather it encompasses different forms of knowledge that embrace the normative, dynamic and action-oriented nature of sustainability. Curriculum for a summer sustainability programme had previously been developed based on an interdisciplinary approach which incorporates research and practice from the fields of education pedagogy, sustainability and behaviour change. This article synthesises the insights provided by K-12 teachers who participated in this programme and another teacher who utilised the curriculum during a sustainability unit in her 8th form science class in Phoenix, AZ. Data was collected through surveys and interviews over the course of a year. The key findings indicate that one of the major barriers to moving away from traditional, didactic approaches to education is the importance placed on standardised tests. As long as external forces and incentive structures reinforce methods of lecture and assess, teachers will struggle transitioning to more experiential, real-world methods that enhance a multiplicity of knowledge. One important suggestion made by the teachers was for increased support by universities through pre-service and in-service programmes focused on educating for sustainabilit

Abstract:
This paper aimed at evaluating the various perspectives of sustainability in relation to development. The three pillars of sustainability namely, economic, environmental and social sustainability, were evaluated. It was noted that the first two aspects of sustainability were more common in practice and discourse than the third, social dimension. The paper reflected that social sustainability implied the well-being of the workforce and society during the various phases of development. However, the workforce had suffered neglect in the past that resulted in occupational accidents. It was concluded that employee should be given the necessary attention, just like other pillars of sustainability, to actually achieve real sustainable development. Abstract:
In recent years, sustainability in commercial banks has become one of the performance indicators. Sustainability currently contributes to preserving the environment, achieving social welfare, developing the economy, and activating governance. Therefore, this research investigates whether the Iraqi commercial banks listed on the Iraq Stock Exchange by adopting the sustainability accounting standard contribute to improving disclosure, protecting the rights of investors and society as a whole. The Iraqi Middle East Investment Bank (IMEIB) was chosen as a case study for the research. The research obtained its data from the annual audited financial statements of the IMEIB over the period (2015-2016). The study reached some critical conclusions. The most important was that compliance with sustainability accounting standards by the commercial banks listed on the ISE makes it easier to know the indicators related to sustainability aspects by management, investors, or the public. Moreover, some commercial banks operate through their commitment to international and local sustainability standards to maximize their income. In contrast, other banks integrate their regular activities with social, economic, and environmental goals to contribute to achieving sustainable development, attaining social welfare, developing the economy, and protecting the environment.

Abstract:
The work is focused on solving a set of problems related to the functioning of the enterprise (firm) in a competitive market environment. The stability of the firm in market conditions is determined by the ability to optimally manage available resources, effective planning for timely promotion of new products, the ability to adequately respond to challenges posed by sudden changes in market conditions. An important factor in achieving economic stability of the enterprise is the presence of the internal concept of self-development, which combines two main functions - marketing and management system (management). In this article the methodology of economic and mathematical modeling of a market condition of firm as process of interaction of functions of marketing and management has received the further development. A model is proposed, which is built in line with the paradigm of economic synergetics and is a system of two nonlinear ordinary differential equations. It is proved that in this situation the classical linear principle of superposition loses its relevance and does not allow the application of the traditional apparatus of econometric analysis. Therefore, the most important for the implementation of the practice of economic forecasting is the construction of areas of stability of the equilibrium of the firm. According to the results of the study, the emphasis is placed on the need to develop criteria for the proximity of system parameters to the dangerous limits of loss of stability by the firm, during the transition through which the economic system changes its dynamic mode catastrophically. A key place in the work is given to determining the parameters of cyclic processes, indicating the amplitude, frequency and nature of the stability of periodic trajectories. The presented results of numerical modeling have practical value and can be used for the analysis and forecasting of parameters at separate stages of the corresponding periodic modes of functioning of the enterprises with various types of stability.

‘Open city’ is a new term that was coined after the cultural policies of European cities had been established. This phrase reflects the need for citizens to participate in the establishment of the city’s cultural policy, which is part of a new sustainable system that involves a digital approach to cultural goods. Most European cities base their cultural policy on four key principles: cultural identity, cultural diversity – interculturality, creativity, and citizens’ participation in cultural life. Cultural development strategy must ensure that these principles are observed by and intertwined with all public policies. This approach indicates the development of artistic disciplines in all contemporary directions and should have a direct influence on local governments and those in charge of the cultural sector. Cultural tourism greatly increases residents’ participation in cultural projects.

The sustainable design will reach its full potential by studying structure at a deeper level.” Although structure is essential for realizing any architectural design; however, it is not highlighted as an important principle in the six fundamental principles of sustainability. Most of the design researchers are looking for designs and materials that are less harmful to the environment. This paper surveys design for sustainability and eco-design strategies and, the use of codes that affected the design process in architecture by focusing on the structure system as the main issue, analyzing the adaptation of three parametric structures to accommodate climate condition, by studying structure control framework from the sustainability point of view. The structures control sun rays, wind power, material and rainwater. So finally, structures achieved the meaning of the environmental control that supports sustainability through a suggested framework will guide architects and designers to get a new way of understanding the structure system and its importance for sustainable design.

Abstract:
Vertical farming is a technological farming method that allows to grow crops without the need for large fields, soil and climatic cycles as in traditional agriculture. This method is becoming increasingly important due to the fact that water, pesticides, fertilizers, labor, equipment, energy and transportation costs are low, efficiency and quality are high, livestock can be carried out simultaneously, it improves the architecture and air of the city, and it will increase the interest and contribution of the city people to agriculture. Since it is predicted that the world population will be 10 billion in 2050, the ecological balance will deteriorate further and fertile land areas will rapidly decrease due to global warming, many countries have started to actively apply this agricultural method. Although the initial investment costs are high, this agricultural practice, which has high sustainability in terms of its contribution to the economy, ecology and social integration in the long term, will be the most important agricultural industry of the future. For this method, which is important in terms of sustainable agriculture, arrangements should be made in state policies and legal issues, financial resources should be allocated in our country, and the participation of academics, private sector, municipalities, farmers and urban society in the process should be ensured.

Abstract:
Ensuring Ukrainian enterprises’ personnel sustainability is a real challenge because the structural transformation of the labor market in the context of globalization of the world economy leads to increased competition for qualified personnel. In the Ukrainian labor market, the tendency to imbalance professional and qualification structure is the result of the progress of migration, urbanization, and demographic crisis. Thus, the study aims to develop a procedure for diagnostics and predicting the personnel sustainability of the enterprises due to the construction of the forecast model. The formation of “Predictable Model of the Personnel Sustainability” (“PMPS”), which is based on an analysis of the personnel sustainability indicators and predictors of release, was proposed. Approbation was carried out on the example of the Ukrainian enterprises of a recreational complex. The results of the personnel sustainability forecasting showed that the extent of the violation of the personnel sustainability is significant because the high projected performance of the indicators of fluctuation movement of the personnel and employee turnover changes, the structural components associated with wages indicate its further growth, and trends in the predictors of the violation of sustainability signal the possible dismissal of the personnel in the future.

Abstract:
Sustainability awareness has become increasingly important to society and a matter of interest by scholars and professionals. This article presents an overview of the concept and its Triple Bottom Line and describes the three dimensions of the most commonly accepted models of sustainability – environmental, economic and social. Given the key role that sustainability plays in organisations, it is important that they incorporate sustainability into their strategies. Thus, after a discussion on sustainability implementation, the article examines some issues and examples of sustainability assessment and measurement.

Abstract:
During the first Kyoto Protocol period (2008-2012) the carbon market evolved globally as well as Brazil. Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) projects, which promote technology substitution in order to obtain “cleaner” processes, had an expressive participation. Within this scenario, Brazil and mainly China applied a considerable number of projects. However, in the case of REDD (Reduction from Deforestation and Forest Degradation) and REDD+, the complexity of discussions regarding legal issues, carbon reduction/mitigation methodologies, complexity around methodologies, resources distribution, costs, etc., associated with the world economic crisis, slowed down this process. Reflection of that can be seen through the carbon allowance price deterioration resulting in the prediction of retraction in the 2012 market size. In this sense, the scenario after the first period of the Kyoto’s Protocol, presents many challenges, but also presents opportunities. Legislations are emerging from different parts of the globe and also in Brazil. They indicate the nucleation of future obligations around the control and reduction of GHG emissions. Also, efforts to increase carbon allowances quotations are also being planned. Bilateral agreements are emerging being bottom-up alternatives for a global carbon commercialization scheme. On top of these actions an agreement to the creation of a billionaire fund until 2020 create great expectations around the development and growth of the carbon markets presenting the sustainability issue as an unquestionable trend to the upcoming years.
