Abstract:
ABSTRACT The rag locus of Porphyromonas gingivalis W50 encodes RagA, a predicted tonB-dependent receptor protein, and RagB, a lipoprotein that constitutes an immunodominant outer membrane antigen. The low G+C content of the locus, an association with mobility elements, and an apparent restricted distribution in the species suggested that the locus had arisen by horizontal gene transfer. In the present study, we have demonstrated that there are four divergent alleles of the rag locus. The original rag allele found in W50 was renamed rag-1, while three novel alleles, rag-2 to rag-4, were found in isolates lacking rag-1. The three novel alleles encoded variants of RagA with 63 to 71% amino acid identity to RagA1 and each other and variants of RagB with 43 to 56% amino acid identity. The RagA/B proteins have homology to numerous Bacteroides proteins, including SusC/D, implicated in polysaccharide uptake. Monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies raised against RagB1 of P. gingivalis W50 did not cross-react with proteins from isolates carrying different alleles. In a laboratory collection of 168 isolates, 26% carried rag-1, 36% carried rag-2, 25% carried rag-3, and 14% carried rag-4 (including the type strain, ATCC 33277). Restriction profiles of the locus in different isolates demonstrated polymorphism within each allele, some of which is accounted for by the presence or absence of insertion sequence elements. By reference to a previously published study on virulence in a mouse model (M. L. Laine and A. J. van Winkelhoff, Oral Microbiol. Immunol. 13:322-325, 1998), isolates that caused serious disease in mice were significantly more likely to carry rag-1 than other rag alleles.

Abstract:
We consider an [Formula: see text] supersymmetric U(N) gauge theory with an adjoint chiral multiplet. By developing a self-consistent Hartree-Fock approximation to the leading order which is reminiscent of that of the BCS/NJL in the superconductivity/chiral symmetry, we show that the [Formula: see text] supersymmetry is spontaneously broken, giving a mixed Majorana-Dirac mass term for gaugino due to the nonvanishing D-term VEV and F-term one induced by D-term.

Due to rare earth doping, phosphates and vanadates are the leading materials for the synthesis of phosphors due to their thermal stability, low sintering temperature, and chemical stability. Phosphors in the nanoscale state are of particular interest. The simple, fast, and scalable synthesis of nanophosphors with high chemical homogeneity is a priority task. The purpose of this work was to synthesize powders of mixed yttrium vanadate-phosphate crystals of various compositions by coprecipitation under the action of microwave radiation and spray pyrolysis, as well as to compare the characteristics ofthe obtained samples. Samples of YVхP1–хO4 of different compositions were synthesized by coprecipitation under the action of microwave radiation and spray pyrolysis in different modes. In the case of the synthesis of yttrium vanadate-phosphate YVхP1–хO4 by spray pyrolysis followed by annealing, according to the X-ray phase analysis data, single-phase nanopowders were formed. The morphological characteristics of the samples were revealed by the methods of transmission electron microscopy and scanning electron microscopy. Depending on the annealing conditions, the samples were either faceted or spherical particlesless than 100 nm in size. The composition of the YVхP1–хO4 , samples synthesized by the coprecipitation method under the action of microwave radiation strongly depended on the pH of the precursor solution. The minimum content of impurity phases was reached at pH 9.Spray pyrolysis allows the synthesis of yttrium vanadate phosphate YVхP1–хO4 nanopowders of high chemical homogeneity with a particle size of less than 100 nm. The maximum chemical homogeneity of yttrium vanadate-phosphate powders was achieved at pH = 9 during the synthesis of YVхP1–хO4 by coprecipitation under the action of microwave radiation. Abstract:
A brief review of recent developments on soft breaking in SUSY, string and intersecting D brane models is given. The constraints on soft breaking parameters from WMAP data are discussed. A discussion of the constraints of modular invariance on soft breaking within heterotic string models is given. It is shown that the radiative electroweak symmetry breaking leads to a more stringent constraint on soft parameters here than in SUGRA models. Finally, a brief review of recent developments on soft breaking in the framework of intersecting D brane models is given. The issue of gauge coupling unification within intersecting D brane models is briefly discussed.

Suicide often imparts highly stressful ramifications to those left behind. Previous research on suicide survivors (SUSs) has demonstrated their being at high risk for developing anxiety and depression, including pathological complicated grief (CG). Self-disclosure (S-D)––the tendency to share one’s personal feelings––has been found to be an important component of dealing with grief. In this study, we examined the effect of S-D on CG in an 18-month longitudinal design following one hundred fifty-six SUSs. We found that SUSs suffering from pathological CG at Time 1 (T1) were lower in S-D at T1 and T2 and higher in depression at T2. We also found that SUSs with lower S-D at T1 had higher CG at T2. Using a structural equation model, we found that S-D at T1 contributed significantly (and negatively) to CG at T1, above and beyond the natural fading of CG over time. Our findings emphasize that while CG is highly prevalent among SUSs, S-D has a beneficial effect which can serve as a protective factor against CG for this group. Implications regarding possible interventions with SUSs were discussed.

Susu merupakan nutrisi yang disukai mikroba untuk tumbuh.Padakeadaan normal jumlah mikroflora adalah 103CFU/mL susu. Pada sapiyang terjangkit radang (masitis) dapat dijumpai bakteri jenis Corybacterium, Staphylococcus sp, Streptococcus sp, dan Enterobacteriaceae yang jumlahnya dapat mencapai 105 CFU/mL susu. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jumlah total bakteri pada susu sapi segar di peternakan daerah Kalijambe, Sragen. Metode pada penelitian ini menggunakan uji mikrobiologi dengan tigauji, yaitu breed, MBRT dan rezasurin. Sampel susu sapi segar yang digunakan pada penelitian ini ada 4 jenis yaitu susu sapi segar A, susu sapi segar B, susu sapi segar C dan susu sapi segar D, di mana di masing-masing jenis susu tersebut terdapat pengulangan sebanyak satu kali (secara duplo). Berdasarkan ketiga uji yang telah dilaksankan dapat disimpulkan bahwa sampel susu A1, A2, B1, dan B2 layak konsumsi dan sampel susu C1, C2, D1 dan D2 tidak layak konsumsi dikarenakan jumlah cemaran bakteri melebihi batas minimum SNI 3141.1- 2011(1x106CFU/ml). Hasil uji “t” menunjukkan bahwa jumlah total mikroba susu segar pada 4 sampel (A, B, C, D) berbeda nyata (P < 0,05), sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa kualitas susu segar di peternakan Kalijambe, Sragen adalah termasuk bagus untuk susu A dan B (sesuai SNI 2011), sedangkan untuk susu C dan D kurang bagus (tidak sesuai dengan SNI 2011).

ABSTRACT Indonesia is rich in rice genetic diversity in the form of javanica rice. Subspecies javanica have some superiority characters, among others a strong plant tissue, but in generally they have low productivity. Weaknesses of javanica rice can be repaired by biotechnology through genetic transformation techniques from callus of plant. Auxin types and genotypes are important factors for callus induction and plant regeneration. Therefore, this research held for know callus introduction and plant regeneration of three varieties of Javanica rice (Pendok, Genjah Arum, and Menthik Wangi Susu) combined with type of auxin (2,4-D and pychloram). The experimental design of RALs two factorials, there are three varieties of rice (Pendok, Genjah Arum, and Menthik Wangi Susu) and two types of auxin (2,4-D and Pychloram) and analyzed by DMRT α5%. The results of this study is Mentik Wangi Susu have highest regeneration than Pendok and Genjah Arum. The use of 2,4-D resulted in a higher callus induction and plant regeneration than pychloram in the three rice varieties used. While the best combination of treatments for callus induction and regeneration is Menthik Wangi Susu and 2,4-D. Keyword: auxin, javanica, callus induction, plant regeneration. Genotip dan jenis auksin merupakan faktor penting dalam induksi kalus dan regenerasi tanaman padi secara in vitro. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk mengetahui daya pembentukan kalus dan regenerasi pada tiga varietas padi javanica, yaitu Pendok, Genjah Arum, dan Menthik Wangi Susu yang dikombinasikan dengan perlakuan jenis auksin berupa penggunaan 2,4-D dan pikloram. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah RAL dua faktorial yaitu varietas tanaman padi dan jenis auksin dengan pengujian menggunakan DMRT α5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari ketiga varietas padi yang digunakan, varietas Mentik Wangi Susu menunjukan daya regenerasi yang tertinggi dibandingkan varietas Pendok dan Genjah Arum. Penggunaan 2,4-D menghasilkan tingkat pengkalusan dan regenerasi yang tinggi dibandingkan pikloram pada tiga varietas padi yang digunakan. Sedangkan kombinasi perlakuan yang terbaik untuk induksi kalus dan daya regenerasi adalah penggunaan varietas Menthik Wangi Susu dan auksin dalam bentuk 2,4-D. Las reclamaciones hechas por la siguiente generación fueron respondidas de manera similar. (ii) The proton is stable by the automatic "doublet–triplet splitting" closely connected with the D-parity violation. Indonesia sekarang ini dihadapkan oleh pandemi Coronavirus Disease 2019 atau COVID-19. Mengonsumsi dadih susu kerbau yang mengandung probiotik dan jambu biji merah yang memiliki kadar vitamin C paling tinggi adalah salah satu cara meningkatkan sistem imun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan gizi dan uji organoleptik puding dadih susu kerbau dengan penambahan jambu biji merah sebagai alternatif jajanan pada masa pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian ini bersifat eksperimen menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap yaitu 1 kontrol, 3 perlakuan dan 2 kali ulangan. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Februari hingga Maret 2021 dengan pengamatan yang dilakukan yaitu pengamatan subjektif terhadap cita rasa (uji organoleptik) dengan panelis sebanyak 25 orang. Analisa zat gizi dilakukan di Laboratorium Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Eka Sakti. Pengolahan data menggunakan uji Anova dan uji Kruskall Wallis. Hasil penelitian adalah kadar protein tertinggi (11,84%) pada perlakuan D penambahan jambu biji merah 60 gr, kadar karbohidrat tertinggi (31,74%) pada perlakuan D penambahan jambu biji merah 60 gr, kadar lemak tertinggi (31,15%) pada perlakuan A tanpa penambahan jambu biji merah, dan kadar vitamin C tertinggi (11,84%) pada perlakuan D penambahan jambu biji merah 60 gr. Hasil uji organoleptik didapatkan perlakuan yang paling disukai oleh panelis pada perlakuan D puding dadih penambahan jambu biji merah 60 gr. Uji hedonik yang disukai panelis dari segi warna adalah puding D (6,02) dengan kategori suka, dari segi aroma pada puding D (5,00) dengan kategori agak suka , dari segi rasa pada puding D (5,24) dengan kategori agak suka, dan dari tekstur pada puding A (5,72) dengan kategori agak suka.

Abstract Southern Royal Albatrosses (Diomedea epomophora) were satellite-tracked from Campbell Island during the incubation period in 1997 and 1999. Their foraging activity was restricted to shelf and shelf-break areas within 1250 km of their breeding site. Foraging activity by 8 of the 14 individuals tracked was concentrated at a zone near the Snares Islands, on the Campbell Plateau. Southern and Northern Royal Albatrosses (D. sanfordi) foraged on average nearer their breeding site than two other species of greater albatrosses (Gibson's [D. gibsoni], and Wandering [D. exulans] Albatrosses) studied during the incubation period. Keberadaan mikroorganisme di dalam makanan/minuman sangat tidak diinginkan karena dapat menyebabkan perubahan organoleptik pada makanan/minuman tersebut, terutama jika makanan tersebut masuk kedalam tubuh. Kandungan nutrisi susu kedelai juga hampir sama dengan susu sapi. Susu kedelai berasal dari alam sehingga mempunyai harga yang lebih murah dari susu sapi dan memiliki banyak manfaat bagi kesehatan yang menjadikannya banyak disukai oleh masyarakat umum. Peelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas, keamanan mutu susu kedelai dan ada tidaknya cemaran mikroba bakteri susu kedelai yang dijual di Kecamatan Gombong Kabupaten Kebumen. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental deskriptif dengan metode ALT (Angka Lempeng Total ) pada media PCA (Plate Count Agar). Hasil dari penelitian 10 sampel susu kedelai didapatkan bahwa nilai ALT susu kedelai jual oleh penjual C 3 x 104, D 4,9 x 104, F 7 x 103, H 4 x 103, I 2,7 x 103, J 3 x 103, memenuhi syarat karena jumlah koloni <104 dan sampel susu kedelai yang dijual oleh penjual A 2,0 x 105, B 2,5 x 105, E 2,8 x 104, G 2,3 x 105, tidak memenuhi syarat karena jumlah koloni >104. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan bahwa data tidak berbeda signifikan yang artinya bahwa jumlah koloni dari tiap penjual tidak jauh berbeda. Hasil yang diperoleh dari tiap penjual tidak jauh berdeda (P<0,05). Penjual A kurang higienis dibadingkan dengan penjual B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I dan J.

Objetivo: Determinar la presencia de caries dental y sus consecuencias clínicas relacionadas al impacto en la calidad de vida de preescolares de la institución educativa N° 2051 “El Progreso” en el 2018. Materiales y méto- dos: Estudio transversal y observacional. Se realizó una exploración clínica a 95 niños de 3-5 años, registrando la caries dental mediante los índices ceo-d y pufa. Se aplicó el ECOHIS dirigido a los responsables, para evaluar el impacto en la calidad de vida de los niños y sus familias. Las pruebas estadísticas utilizadas fueron t-Student, Kruskal-Wallis y U Mann-Whitney, con significancia 0,05; y Coeficiente de Spearman 0,01. Resultados: La frecuencia de caries dental 98,84%, con índice ceo-d 9,58±3,45 correspondiente al nivel de severidad muy alto; y las consecuencias clínicas de caries dental no tratada 83,16%, índice pufa 7,65±4,97 y radio pufa 83,18%. El ECOHIS mostró un promedio 23,41±11,82, siendo las dimensiones más afectadas limitación funcional y aspec- tos psicológicos, reflejando un impacto negativo en la calidad de vida relacionada a su salud bucal. Según el coeficiente de Spearman, la relación entre la presencia de caries dental (r=0,630) y sus consecuencias clínicas (r=0,649), con el impacto en la calidad de vida, muestran una correlación directa positiva moderada significativa (p=0,000). Los índices del sexo masculino fueron ceo-d 24,46±12,11 y pufa 28,88±7,03; y del grupo de 5 años fueron ceo-d 29,71±6,30 y pufa 29,71±6,30. Conclusiones: La caries dental y sus consecuencias clínicas están relacionadas al impacto negativo en la calidad de vida a nivel bucal de los preescolares, interfiriendo en sus ac- tividades diarias.

La motivación hacia el aprendizaje puede ser intrínseca o extrínseca y en estudiantes universitarios se relacionan con el rendimiento académico. Éste puede ser mejorado en estudiantes universitarios mediante la gamificación, pero sus efectos sobre la motivación han mostrado resultados divergentes. El objetivo fue evaluar el efecto de la gamificación sobre la motivación de estudiantes universitarios. 120 estudiantes del primer curso del grado de Psicología fueron reclutados. La gamificación consistió en 6 quiz-games sobre los pilares básicos de la Psicología científica. Diseñamos un estudio reequilibrado con dos grupos y tres momentos de evaluación. Los instrumentos fueron un cuestionario sobre aspectos sociodemográficos y la escala CEAP-48 para evaluar motivación hacia el aprendizaje. Los datos se analizaron mediante un ANOVA mixto. El Grupo 1 mejoró sus puntuaciones en motivación extrínseca después de la gamificación (t = -4.46, p <.001, d = -0.58) siendo superiores al Grupo 2 (t = 3.02, p =.034, d = 0.55). El Grupo 2 también mejoró sus puntuaciones en motivación extrínseca (t = -7.68, p <.001, d =-0.66) equiparando éstas a las del Grupo 1 en la tercera evaluación (t = -0.46, p =.997, d = -0.08). Abstract:
La sostenibilidad de la Unión Europea pasa por la disminución de sus divergencias estructurales. Bajo esta premisa, y teniendo en cuenta que la política de I+D es clave para avanzar en la transformación productiva de los países de la UE menos avanzados tecnológicamente, la Comisión Europea acordó con cada uno de los Estados miembros unos compromisos relativos al esfuerzo en I+D (gasto en I+D en relación con el producto interior bruto) que deberían alcanzar en el año 2020. En nuestro trabajo ponemos de manifiesto la baja probabilidad de alcanzar esos compromisos, especialmente para los países con mayores necesidades de transformación productiva, entre ellos España. Y en ese mal pronóstico desempeñan un papel clave las políticas de austeridad impuestas por la propia Comisión Europea a esos mismos países, las cuales han golpeado de manera dramática en sus presupuestos públicos de I+D. En este escenario, la UE está avanzando hacia una mayor divergencia, lo cual genera mayores dudas acerca de su propia viabilidad.

Abstract:
OBJECTIVE: To analyze the impact of the Hospital-Acquired Conditions (HAC) in women in the puerperal and pregnancy cycle during length of stay. METHODS: This cross-sectional study was conducted with 113,456 women, between July 2012 and July 2017, in Brazil’s national hospitals of the supplementary healthcare networks and philanthropists accredited to the Unified Health System (SUS). Data on hospital discharges were collected using the Diagnosis-Related Groups (DRG Brasil) system. All DRGs of the major diagnostic category 14 (MDC14), including pregnancy, childbirth and puerperium, were included. The impact of HAC on length of stay was estimated by Student’s t-test, and the effect size by Cohen’s d, which allows to assess clinical relevance. RESULTS: The most prevalent diagnostic categories related to MDC14 were vaginal and cesarean deliveries without complicating diagnoses, both at institutions accredited to SUS and those for supplementary health care. The prevalence of HAC was 3.8% in supplementary health and 2.5% in SUS. Hospitals providing services to supplementary health care providers had a longer length of stay considering HAC for patients classified as DRG: cesarean section with complications or comorbidities at admission (p < 0.001; Cohen’s d = 0.74), cesarean section without complications or comorbidities at admission (p < 0.001, Cohen’s d = 0.31), postpartum and post abortion without listed procedure (p < 0.001, Cohen’s d = 1.05), and other antepartum diagnoses with medical complications (p < 0.001; Cohen’s d = 0.77). CONCLUSIONS: This study showed that the prevalence of HAC was low both in the institutions accredited to attend by SUS and in those of supplementary health; however, its presence contributes to increasing the length of stay in cases of cesarean sections without complications or comorbidities in supplementary health institutions.

Abstract:
In this paper, the analytical solutions of the [Formula: see text]-dimensional hyper-radial Schrödinger equation are studied in great detail for the Hulthén potential. Within the framework, a novel improved scheme to surmount centrifugal term, the energy eigenvalues and corresponding radial wave functions are found for any [Formula: see text] orbital angular momentum case within the context of the Nikiforov–Uvarov (NU) and supersymmetric quantum mechanics (SUSY QM) methods. In this way, based on these methods, the same expressions are obtained for the energy eigenvalues, and the expression of radial wave functions transforming each other is demonstrated. The energy levels are worked out and the corresponding normalized eigenfunctions are obtained in terms of orthogonal polynomials for arbitrary [Formula: see text] states for [Formula: see text]-dimensional space.
