Abstract:

Abstract:
Nowadays, active surveillance has gained popularity as an acceptable management alternative to definitive treatment for men with low-risk prostate cancer. Active surveillance aims to delay or prevent unnecessary interventions – thereby reducing the morbidity associated with overtreatment. Despite widespread acceptance from current guidelines, active surveillance does not eliminate the concern that the advanced disease and repeat biopsy anxiety for both the clinician and the patient. This situation leads to the search for a method that is non-invasive and can give an idea to the clinician about the status of the disease in the active surveillance protocol. Recent technological advancements and the introduction of modern anatomical and functional sequences have led to a growing role for multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (mpMRI) in the detection, risk assessment, and monitoring of prostate cancer. The main advantages of MRI are its superior anatomic and contrast resolution, lack of ionizing radiation, and multi-planar capabilities. In addition, standardization of reporting findings such as PI-RADS in mpMRI in prostate cancer provides an advantage by increasing inter-reader reliability among radiologists. This study aims to evaluate and summarize the role of magnetic resonance imaging in the active surveillance of prostate cancer. Keywords: active surveilliance, prostate cancer, multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging

Abstract:
Oral health is an inherent part of public health and is intricately related to systemic health. The interdependency of oral health and systemic health merges at the knot called periodontal health. Systemic diseases like cardiovascular diseases, metabolic diseases, and autoimmune diseases affect periodontal tissues and there lies a bidirectional relationship between periodontitis and diabetes mellitus. Taking this into consideration, periodontal health maintainance is essential for better systemic health. With the advancing health complications in the present time and due to spatial disparities, periodontal health is taking the shape of a concerning public health problem. India is facing some definitive challenges in terms of the oral healthcare system. Periodontal health assessment needs introduction of oral health programmes focusing on periodontal assessment, oral health policies and promoting education regarding periodontal health. Continous surveilliance of the disease can help us in determing the prevalence of disease, disease progression, early diagnosis, and treatment. This review aims at finding the existing problems addressing periodontal health as a public health issue, key challenges, and possible ways out of this problem.

The motivation behind this project is to develop software for tracking and recognizing the human activity major application in security, surveillance and vision analysis. The developed software must be capable of tracking the human body and recognizing its activity. The proposed method uses the approach for features extraction from the sequences of images. The method describes about the recognition of human activity with the help of change in energy produced by motion of the connected pixels in an image and then we used the support vector machine as the classifier. The proposed technique takes care of the real time implementation of the technique and in qualitative decision making both and shows better results. This technique is capable of understanding the activity. The statistical confidence is higher as compared to the previous techniques because the activity recognition is based upon the features of not just one organ but also on the dependent organs. This method works in real time and is inherently parallel.
