Abstract:

Abstract:

Abstract:
Preferred plant species utilized by camels across the three seasons (wet, cold dry and hot dry) were analyzed to determine their proximate and fibre constituents using recommended analytical procedures. The browse plant species were analyzed for moisture, ash, fat, protein, neutral detergent fibre (NDF) and acid detergent fibre (ADF). Values presented from the study were within the normal range. The highest values obtained from moisture content was 4.20% from Balanites egyptiaca; protein with 16.23% from Leptadenia hastata and ash (6.53%) from Piliostigma reticulatum both in hot dry season. Fat content were 5.73% from Leptadenia hastata in cold dry season. However, NDF was 52.60% from Balanites egyptiaca in hot dry season and ADF 39.77% from Cassia arereh in wet season respectively. Camels in the study area depended on grazing throughout the year without feed supplementation. The study reveals that browse plant species utilized by the camels in the study area contain the basic nutrients required for their performance hence no any sign of intoxication detected.

Abstract:
The epidermal characteristics of five selected Melastoma L. species in Fraser Hill, Pahang that belongs to Melastomataceae family had been investigated. These five species namely M. muticum Ridl., M. decemfidum Roxb., M. perakense Ridl., M. sanguineum x malabathricum and M. malabathricum var. normale. The objective of this study is to determine whether epidermal characteristics in Melastoma could be taxonomic value in systematic and diagnostic investigations. Methods of the investigation involved epidermal peel and scanning electron microscopy. Results obtained revealed that the presence of hypostomatic stomata and guard cells pairs were elliptic in shaped for all species studied. Apart, the pattern of anticlinal walls on adaxial and abaxial surfaces was straight to wavy for all species studied except for wavy to sinuous anticlinal walls on abaxial surface of M. sanguineum x malabathricum. Furthermore, two types of stomata were observed among species studied such as anomocytic and diacytic stomata. Results showed that diacytic type was only present in M. sanguineum x malabathricum therefore could be a criterion to diagnose the species. Lastly, this present study was also reported on the presence of two types of guard cell pairs such as raised or slightly raised and sunken guard cell pairs. In conclusion, the present study revealed that the anticlinal walls and stomata patterning possess as taxonomic importance in identification and classification of Melastoma either at genus or species level.

Abstract:
An experiment was conducted at the Poultry Unit of the Teaching and Research Farm, Faculty of Agriculture, Kaduna State University, Kafanchan, Campus to determine the effect of feeding graded levels of Scent leaf (Ocimum gratissimum) meal on growth performance and carcass characteristics of broiler chickens. Eighty day old Ross chicks were allotted to 4 dietary groups replicated twice with 10 birds per replicate in a complete randomized design (CRD). The study lasted for 8 weeks with feed and water offered ad-libitum. Data were collected on haematological (packed cell volume, red blood cell, haemoglobin, white blood cell, mean corpuscular haemoglobin, mean corpuscular volume, mean corpuscular haemoglobin concentration, lymphocyte, neutrophils) and serum (cholesterol, triglycerides, low density lipoprotein, high density lipoprotein) indices and were subjected to analysis of variance using the general linear model of SAS. All parameters measured on haematological and serum indices were not significantly (P>0.05) different in birds fed scent leaf meal and the control diet. Values obtained on haematological indices and liver function indices were within the normal range for chickens as reported in prior literature. Birds fed 100g scent leaf had lower white blood cell count than those fed 50g and 150g and even the control. The lipid profile of birds fed up to 150g scent leaf (O. gratissimum) showed improved protein function with good lipid profile and having reduced values for high density lipoprotein, low density lipoprotein, triglyceride and cholesterol than the control. It can be concluded that inclusion of scent leaf meal up to 150g did not pose any adverse effect on the haematological indices and normal functioning of the liver of broiler chickens and lipid profile.

Abstract:
This study was carried out to identify the helminth parasites and burden associated with five indigenous chicken strains namely normal feathered Fulani ecotypes, naked neck, dwarf and frizzle kept under free- range system in six local government areas of Kano and Jigawa States. A total of 540 fresh faecal samples were collected from the gastrointestinal tract. Faecal egg count (quantitative examination) was carried out using the modified McMaster technique with flotation solution. All the helminths (cestodes and nematodes) were examined under light microscope and identified on the basis of helminthological keys. Worm count, EPG, Packed cell volume (PCV), total serum proteins and albumin were used to assess chicken susceptibility to worm infection. Significant differences were observed among the chicken strains for egg per gramme (EPG), cestodes and nematodes. The highest EPG (119.80) was observed in naked neck chickens, followed by frizzled (114.18), dwarf (62.86), normal feathered (30.80) and Fulani ecotypes (0.71). Frizzled chickens had higher mean cestode (7.96) count than the other strains. Dwarf chickens were significantly (P<0.05) more susceptible to nematode infection. Higher EPG (60.55) and worm burden (cestode, 6.08) was found in males than females. The high gene flow and low differentiation between Fulani ecotype and normal feathered and, naked neck and frizzled buttressed the assertion that the similarity in EPG between them were because of genetic closeness. Susceptibility to worm infection in the study measured by the prevalence and EPG was therefore genetically controlled. There were generally negative and low correlations between egg and adult worm counts with haematological indices considered. Thus, blood parameters do vary in response to helminth infection and could be good measures of susceptibility.

In this study, we work on the surfaces determined in relation to associated curves. We study normal surfaces defined with the help of adjoint curves, a special type of associated curve. For this, we first remember the basic equations of the 3-dimensional Euclidean space, which is the space we work with, and the adjoint curve issue. Then, by computing the first and second fundamental forms, principal curvatures and Gaussian and mean curvatures of the normal surface of an adjoint curve, we obtain the characterizations of this surface and related some results.

Abstract:
Modern mechanical engineering designs (and some others) make more and more demands on the development of mathematical models of units in which friction is present. A condition that significantly complicates the study of the properties of a frictional contact is its discreteness with different geometric parameters of two contacting bodies, as a result of which the contact is formed only between a part of the roughness of the rubbing bodies (base and slide). The geometry of the contacting surfaces can most accurately be described by random functions, however, methods for calculating friction nodes based on random functions are very complicated. This work is the initial stage of building a model of contact interaction of two rough bodies with roughness parameters that are different for the two bodies, but constant for each individual body. In addition, the model of contact interaction is considered with a variable force compressing the contacting bodies, in the absence of an external shear force in the contact plane, and this work allows you to check the accuracy of constructing a model of interaction of friction surfaces with a relatively simple scheme of interaction of these surfaces.

Abstract:

Abstract:
Abstract. Abstract. This study examines the impact of seasonal rainfall variability on the Mbé Plateau waters. 120 water samples were taken from eight (08) water points (1 well, 4 boreholes and 3 rivers) between November 2017 and August 2018, analyzed in the laboratory, to characterize the physicochemical elements of the water. These results are processed from a hydrochemical method, using the diagrams : of Piper, Schoeller Berkaloff, Stiff, Wilcox. They show that the water values analyzed between the 4 seasons do not vary considerably and all comply with the standards prescribed by the WHO for drinking water, except for the abnormal temperature with an average of 27 ∘C and average pH of 5.0 which confirms the acidity of the waters throughout this study area.

Abstract:
A study was conducted to determine the effect of Tetrapleura tetraptera pod pulp meal on haematology, red blood cell osmotic fragility and serum chemistry values of weaned boars. A total of 18 weaner boars of Large White x Duroc crossbreeds, aged 6 weeks and weighing 9.4kg on the average, were used for the study, which lasted 56 days. The piglets were divided into 3 equal groups, each of which were assigned 0.0%, 2.5% or 5.0% TPM per kg, respectively, of a basal weaner pig diet, in a completely randomized design. Data sets were collected on haematology, serum chemistry and lipid profile. Red blood cells (6.74, 6.03,12 5.57) x 10 /l, packed cell volume (46.33, 39.33, 37.35) %, haemoglobin concentration 9 (13.77, 11.43, 10.37) g/L and the platelet counts (37.90, 33.97, 33.83) x 10 /L were significantly lower (P<0.05) in the sera of boars fed TPM than in those fed zero TPM. Mean cell haemoglobin and mean cell haemoglobin concentration were significantly (P<0.05) lowered by addition of TPM in a dose-dependent fashion. Addition of TPM increased the fragility of the erythrocytes in sodium chloride solution of varying concentrations. Serum glucose increased progressively (P<0.05) with increase in TPM. Albumin was significantly reduced only at 5.0% TPM while globulin and urea were reduced (P<0.05) at both levels of TPM. Total protein and ALT were significantly reduced with increase in TPM. HDL was progressively lowered (P<0.05) with addition of TPM while the reverse was the case with LDL. VLDL and TG were significantly increased only at 5.0% TPM. It is concluded that TPM depressed the haematological indices, compromised the stability of the erythrocytes even in normal saline solution, reduced serum albumin, globulin, total protein, ALT and HDL but increased serum glucose, LDL, VLDLand TG.

The wide circle of the surfaces formed by the motion of the right line in the normal plain of some base directrix curve is regarded. The generate right line may rotate at some low at the normal plane of the base curve. The vector equation of the surface with any plane or space base curve is received. There are given the formulas of the geometry characteristics of the surfaces, on the base of them there is shown that the coordinate system of the normal ruled surfaces is orthogonal but there is not conjugated in common, that is that the normal ruled surfaces there are not developable surfaces in common way. The condition of the rotation of directrix plane line when the coordinate system of the normal ruled surfaces will be conjugated and the normal ruled surface will be developable is received. The condition that the normal ruled surface with space base curve will be the developable surface there is connected with its curvature of base curve. The developable normal ruled surface with plane base curve is formed by motion of right line at the normal plane of the base curve with the constant angle to the plane of the base curve; the received surface is a surface of constant slope. On the base of the vector equation of the surfaces there are made the figures of the normal ruled surfaces with the help of program complex MathCAD.

Abstract:
The review material belongs to the scientific and practical issues related to the interdisciplinary direction on the border of nanotechnology, surface chemistry and physics, biology and medicine and is based on the use of natural components in the composition of iron-containing bioactive nanocomposites and magnetic fluids in creating effective vector systems for antitumor therapy with minimized side effects on the human body and improved compatibility with other drugs. Such natural components, which have unique properties, significant and not yet realized potential opportunities for practical use, include, in particular, lectins. The aim of the work is to select and analyze the results of works on the extraction of lectins, the study of their properties and application in biology and medicine. Lectins are a group of substances of protein nature (proteins and glycoproteins) of non-immune origin, which have the ability to reversely and selectively bind carbohydrates and carbohydrate determinants of biopolymers without changes in covalent structure and recognize them with extremely high specificity. Due to this property, they are an ideal tool for reading of code in the structure of specific sugar epitopes on the surface of all cells. Lectins are substances of primary synthesis and are present in all kingdoms, types and classes of living organisms. They mediate cellular communication at the molecular level and are involved in many physiological and pathophysiological processes. Pathogenic bacteria and viruses use lectins to attach to the host tissue, which is one of the prerequisites for the development of infection. Blocking of specific pathogen adhesion with lectin inhibitors is the basis of anti-adhesive therapy, an alternative method of treatment of infections caused by multidrug-resistant bacterial strains. Numerous lectins show antitumor activity and are being studied as potential antitumor drugs. To date, they have found practical application in a number of specialized medical fields, such as histology (detection of carbohydrate structures on the surface of cells and tissues), diagnosis of immunodeficiency and chromosomal abnormalities, transplantology (separation of blood cells and lymphoid cells with different antigenic properties). The prospect of use of lectins in the purification of blood from viruses, pathologically altered glycoproteins, in the targeted delivery of drugs to normal or pathologically altered cells and tissues of the body or to infectious agents is considered very significant. The combination of properties of lectins and magnetically sensitive iron-containing nanocomposites in the composition of magnetic fluids for use in oncology is considered relevant and promising.

Abstract:
In this paper, we introduce a new class of surfaces, called as normal surface pencil. We parameterize a normal surface pencil by using the principal normal vector $\mathbf{n}$ and the binormal vector $\mathbf{b}$ of the Frenet frame of a space curve $\alpha(s)$ as follows $\varphi(s,t)=\alpha(s)+y(s,t)\mathbf{n}+z(s,t)\mathbf{b}.$ A well known example of normal surface pencil is a canal surface. Finally, we propose the sufficient conditions of a normal surface pencil being a developable surface. Then several new examples of developable normal surface pencil are constructed from these conditions.

Abstract:
Abstract This paper proposes a novel method for shape design of a Bézier surface with given boundary curves. The surface is defined as the minimizer of an extended membrane functional or an extended thin plate functional under the guidance of a specified normal field together with an initial prescribed surface. For given boundary curves and the guiding normal field, the free coefficients of a Bézier surface are obtained by solving a linear system. Unlike previous PDE based surface modeling techniques which construct surfaces just from boundaries, our proposed method can be used to generate smooth and fair surfaces that even follow a specified normal field. Several interesting examples are given to demonstrate the applications of the proposed method in geometric modeling. Highlights Two extended energy functionals are proposed for variational surface modeling. The guiding normal field can be used to control the shapes of the variational surfaces efficiently. The proposed technique can be used for various modeling purposes like editing, hole filling or transition surface design.

Abstract:
Galling is a severe type of wear usually occurring at high normal stress and small relative movement between contacting surfaces. Surface protrusions, plastic deformation, magnified increases in roughness, and final seizure of the coupled pair characterize galling. Austenitic stainless steels are particularly prone to this surface disruption and a number of processes have been used to reduce or eliminate this extreme form of adhesion. In this study 316 stainless steel surfaces are treated by means of the microwelding process electrospark alloying (ESA). A variety of electrode compositions ranging from very hard (WC) to very soft (Ag) were used in both self mated and single surfaced tests. A standard gall test supplemented by a recording torque wrench was used for evaluation of surfaces. Tests were run at normal stresses of 35.1, 123, and 211 MPa. While all the compositions evaluated eliminated galling some showed abrasive cutting and the rotational torque requirements were high. Cobalt used in a self mated couple and silver used in a single surfaced couple were found to be the superior electrode materials for eliminating galling tendencies of 316 stainless steel.

Abstract:
A numerical model was proposed to investigate the contact behaviour of a solid with a rough surface squeezed against a rigid flat plane. We considered simulated hierarchical surface structures as well as scanned surface data obtained by the profilometry of isotropically roughened specimens. The simulated and treated surfaces were characterised using statistical and fractal parameters. The evolution of contact stiffness under increasing normal compression was analysed through the total truncated area at varying heights, in order to relate contact mechanics to different surface parameters employed for surface characterisation. For a relatively small surface interference, the predicted stress-dependent normal contact stiffness of both scanned and simulated surfaces is in good agreement with experimental observation from nanoindentation tests, revealing a power-law function of the normal load, with the exponent of this relationship closely depending on the fractal dimension of rough surfaces. The numerical results show that the amplitude of a fractal rough surface mainly contributes to the magnitude of the contact stiffness at a given normal load.

The figure-8 knot complement with a given ideal pseudo-triangulation with two ideal tetrahedra is fully worked out. We construct all Q-fundamental surfaces and the remaining normal surfaces are obtained by linear geometric sums of these. We also construct all almost normal surfaces in the figure-8 knot complement. As a result we obtain an example which does not contain any normal or almost normal surface representing a minimal Seifert surface of the knot. This leads that the figure-8 knot is fibered.

Abstract:
Starting from the understandings that emphasize the importance of the Pygmalion effect in teaching, the paper presents an overview of research on the relationship between teachers' expectations and students' motivation to learn. The aim of this paper is to point out the different effects of expectations that teachers form on students' motivation to learn. The findings of the presented relevant research indicate that high expectations of teachers can increase student motivation, but also that low expectations of teachers can lead to its reduction. Also, it was determined that teachers smile more often, communicate more, establish eye contact with students from whom they expect more. The labels that teachers assign to students lead to some students getting less motivating learning situations. The implications of this paper are reflected in the elucidation of the significance of this phenomenon and its reflection on educational practice. It has been found that high as well as low expectations of teachers largely reflect on the motivation of students to learn, which is why teachers should use their influence by encouraging and activating students.

Abstract:
The most commonly accepted definition of financial literacy is the one given by the OECD, which includes awareness, knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviours. The concept of financial literacy must be distinguished from the concepts of financial education, financial knowledge, and financial culture. The research results show that financial illiteracy is widespread, and it is generally necessary to pay more attention to this aspect of education. After defining the basic concepts, the paper presents experiences in organizing and monitoring the effects of financial education of three countries (Estonia, Finland, the Netherlands) whose students have achieved a high level of financial knowledge in international tests compared to other participating countries. The organisation of financial education in these countries is also presented, in order to assess how applicable their experiences are in our conditions. The experience thus far has shown that the best results are given by financial education beginning in high school, whose main characteristics are an interdisciplinary approach and constant support to teachers. Significant differences are also evident, that is to say, some groups of residents have a lower level of financial literacy, which indicates the need for different approaches in their education.

Abstract:
The notion of natural number, as the basis of the entire further development of mathematics, appears as a result of gradual abstraction. The very notion of number has not been precisely defined and has changed throughout history, as has the way of recording. This paper aims to present the origin of natural numbers and their development to the present form. The essentially most important number systems that have evolved in parallel with the development of human consciousness, and which are guided by the need for man to record important events and facts, are discussed and presented. The importance of positional number systems, such as the Indo-Arabic number system we use today, was emphasized. Numerous studies show that the use of the history of mathematics in the teaching of mathematics can increase students 'motivation and students' interest in the subject. Based on a brief overview of existing research on the use of the history of mathematics in mathematics teaching, the paper presents examples of tasks for classroom teaching, which include elements of the history of natural numbers and number systems.

The aim of this theoretical study is to identify the 21st century skills in the curricular documents for lower secondary education in Slovakia, and to analyse the overlap between the 21st century skills and aims of national educational standards for lower secondary education (ISCED 2) in Slovakia. The main method of the study is document analysis. The analysis shows that the Slovak educational standards are primarily focused on the development of knowledge and cognitive skills. Significantly less represented is development of interpersonal and intrapersonal skills. The results show that there are overall not sufficiently many references to the 21st century skills within the educational standards. This yields a crucial problem, as majority of Slovak teachers still consider the educational standards to be the basic part of curriculum. In spite of certain natural limitations, the study provides new information on the insufficient representation of the 21st century skills in the educational standards in Slovakia.

Abstract:
The paper is about a role of digital media in developing a new culture of learning and the possibilities of connecting education with libraries as places of universal knowledge that are increasingly accessible through the internet. The first part of the paper deals with the acknowledgement of traditional teaching beginning with guided learning, through major transformations in the education system, to the introduction of a new culture of learning where self-learning is promoted. The teacher appears to be a mentor while students are active participants in accessing information and acquiring new knowledge. They are getting used to lifelong learning by using digital media which have incentive role in encouraging independent learning. It is necessary to incorporate digital media in children's education from the earliest age, and all the way through education, as well as in professional education of young people and in the education of older people to encourage self learning and life long learning. The second part reveals the role of libraries in information and media literacy of students, which is extremely important for self-learning. In earlier decades, literacy ment learning to read and write and involved comprehension of content while today literacy is using of contemporary media and skills to seek and select information. The role of library in developing a new literacy lies upon its transformation from traditional to information centar which offers e books, all kinds of information and also free points to use internet.

The aim of our research is to determine whether and to what extent the programs / curricula of preschool education in the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Croatia differ in terms of specifying the requirements and tasks of the teachers in relation to moral development and education of children. The descriptive and comparative methods and the procedure of analysis of the content of program documents are applied in the paper. The results of our research indicate that in the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Croatia in preschool programs / curricula, the requirements and tasks of teachers are presented in the function of moral development and education of children, but in different ways. The analyzed programs / curricula recognize the same tasks related to moral development, and differ from each other when it comes to their concretization, and there are some differences in their formulation. Starting from concrete tasks, teachers, the creators of their own practice, have the opportunity to better understand the needs of children through them, but also to choose from clearly separated tasks what is most needed to encourage and develop children in a certain period of time, within moral development.

We show under some natural smoothness assumptions that pure in-plane drill rotations as deformation mappings of a C 2 -smooth regular shell surface to another one parametrized over the same domain are impossible provided that the rotations are fixed at a portion of the boundary. Put otherwise, if the tangent vectors of the new surface are obtained locally by only rotating the given tangent vectors, and if these rotations have a rotation axis which coincides everywhere with the normal of the initial surface, then the two surfaces are equal provided they coincide at a portion of the boundary. In the language of differential geometry of surfaces, we show that any isometry which leaves normals invariant and which coincides with the given surface at a portion of the boundary is the identity mapping.

Abstract:
The point cloud generated by multiple image matching is classified as an unstructured point cloud because it is not regularly point spaced and has multiple viewpoints. The surface reconstruction technique is used to generate mesh model using unstructured point clouds. In the surface reconstruction process, it is important to calculate correct surface normals. The point cloud extracted from multi images contains position and color information of point as well as geometric information of images used in the step of point cloud generation. Thus, the surface normal estimation based on the geometric constraints is possible. However, there is a possibility that a direction of the surface normal is incorrectly estimated by noisy vertical area of the point cloud. In this paper, we propose an improved method to estimate surface normals of the vertical points within an unstructured point cloud. The proposed method detects the vertical points, adjust their normal vectors by analyzing surface normals of nearest neighbors. As a result, we have found almost all vertical points through point type classification, detected the points with wrong normal vectors and corrected the direction of the normal vectors. We compared the quality of mesh models generated with corrected surface normals and uncorrected surface normals. Result of comparison showed that our method could correct wrong surface normal successfully of vertical points and improve the quality of the mesh model.

Abstract:
Yam and cassava peels are by-product resulting from processing of yam and cassava for domestic cooking and other purposes which represent unutilized energy sources in many parts of the country because they have limited or no human food value. It's in view of the need for waste management and upsurge in prizes of conventional feeds (maize) with their increasing demand that necessitate, the need for waste peels from either yam or cassava which are largely discarded thereby constituting environmental nuisance to be used as ingredient (unconventional feedstuffs)in replacing maize(conventionalfeedstuff) as energy source for animal feeding. This study was therefore carried out to investigate the effect of replacing maizewith yam-cassava peel composite meal on haematology, carcass characteristics and meat yield of growing rabbits in 84-days feeding trial. Thirty-six weaner rabbits of mixed sex and strain and average initial weight of 500.89g were randomly allotted to six dietary treatmentsSix dietary treatment were formulated such that, Diet 1 (T1) contained maize and the proportion of maize in diet 1 (T1) was replaced with yam-cassava peel composite meal (YCPCM) in a ratio of 6:1 at 20, 40, 60, 80 and 100% in diet 2(T2), 3(T3), 4(T4), 5(T5) and 6(T6) respectively. Weighed amounts of feed were served every morning while fresh, cool and clean drinking water was provided ad-libitum and data were collected for proximate composition of yam cassava composite peel meal as well as the haematological profile of growing rabbits and carcass and meat yield. Proximate composition of YCPM revealed 89.60% dry matter (DM), 10.22% crude protein (CP), 14.29% crude fibre (CF), 1.27% ether extract (EE), 6.25% total ash (TA), 67.57% nitrogen free extract (NFE) and 2920.24kcal/kg metabolizable energy (ME Results on carcass characteristics and meat yield of growing rabbits indicated no significant (P>0.05) difference on all the parameters measured. Significant (P<0.05) difference occurred in some haematological (PCV, RBC, Hb, MCV and MCH) within the normal range of recommendation for healthy rabbits to it external and internal environment. This suggests that, 100%inclusion of YCPCM in diets of growing rabbits has no adverse deleterious effect on haematology, carcass characteristics and meat yield of growing rabbits.

Abstract:
The role of the environment in the survivability of an animal is paramount and blood profiles are part of the indices for measuring the health status. Therefore, a study was carried out to determine the blood profile of prominent indigenous breed of sheep (Ram) viz: West African Dwarf, Yankasa, Balami and Ouda breeds reared in Ikorodu Local Government. A total of 20 rams were used comprising of five rams per breed, with average age of 2½ years weighing 31.13±4.8 kg. Blood samples were carefully collected from the rams into labeled sterile bottles containing EDTA for haematological examination and another set of bottles containing Lithium Heparin was used to collect blood for the serum biochemical analysis. Haematological parameter assessed were Packed Cell Volume (PCV), White Blood Cell (WBC), Red Blood Cell (RBC), while the biochemical parameters investigated were Total protein (Tp), Albumin, Glucose, Creatine Cholesterol, and Alkaline phosphatase (ALP). PCV was significantly (p<0.05) highest (32.25%) in Yankassa and lowest (26.25%) in Ouda. Yankasa had statistically (p<0.05) the higher 11.66g/dL Hb, followed by WAD (10.00), Ouda (9.60) and lower (9.20) in Balami. RBC (x10/ml) was significantly (p<0.05) higher in WAD (3.72) than other breeds and lowest in Ouda (3.11). MCV (fl) value was significantly lower in Yankasa (75.83) than other breeds and higher in Ouda (83.60). MCH (pg) was statistically (p<0.05) highest (30.89) in Yankasa and lower (26.93) in Balami. Yankasa had significantly(p<0.05) the higher (8673.00) Total WBC (mm3), followed by WAD (8453.25), Balami (6814.25) and least in Ouda (6718.75). Total protein was significantly (p<0.05) the higher (53.76) in WAD ram and lower (43.76) in Ouda. Yankasa ram recorded significantly (p<0.05) the higher Albumin content (5.45), glucose level (48.87), ALP (129.71) and significantly the least creatine (0.63) while significantly (p<0.05) the least values for Glucose were in Ouda (44.83), Albumin content and Alkaline phosphatase in Balami (4.33, 104.87 respectively). Cholesterol value was significantly the higher (93.22) in WAD and lower (79.70) in Balami. Results revealed significant differences in haematological and serological indices tested though all values obtained were within the normal range for sheep.

Abstract:
An elastic-plastic impact model for spheres is introduced as the basis to study the normal impact of rough surfaces. Statistics is applied to arrive at the ensemble behavior of many unit events alluded above, allowing the investigation of surface roughness effects. Dissipation of kinetic energy increases such as surface roughness, material compliance, and impact velocity is increased. The rebound velocity is shown to be dependent on surface topography and material properties, in addition to impact velocity.
