Abstract:
Becoming country prone to the occurrence of natural disasters, determination on risk variables affecting successful operation of disaster response service supply chain using supply chain FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) is undeniably important to support successfulness of humanitarian operation. However, scientific studies concerning on integrating SCOR into Risk evaluation of disaster response supply chain is rarely found in references. To response such gap, this paper presents a conceptual model on integrating disaster response supply chain FMEA with Supply Chain Operational Reference (SCOR) to determine a conceptual risk-based performance evaluation model in disaster response supply chain. A framework on integrating Service Supply Chain FMEA with SCOR is presented coupled with a decision support model for evaluating criticality of risk-based performance index and followed with discussions and new opportunity for further investigations. Keywords—Service Supply Chain, FMEA, SCOR, Disaster Response, Risk.

Abstract. The purpose of this study is to analyze the performance of organic vegetable supply chains in each member chain to determine the direction of improvement in the fulfillment of consumer needs optimally. The performance of supply chains at the farm level will be differentiated by individuals and commodities. The analytical method used is the Supply Chain Operational Reference (SCOR) model taking into account the internal and external attributes. The primary data used is taken through observation and interview process, meanwhile secondary data obtained from related institutions. The results of measuring the performance of organic vegetable supply chains at all levels of the responsiveness and flexibility attributes have achieved the superior performance position. Meanwhile, the value of organic vegetable supply chain performance on asset attributes at the farm level only reaches a good position. But at the corporate level has reached the best performance position (superior). In general, the performance of the organic vegetable supply chain on the cost attribute still has not achieved good performance. So there is the need for improvement efforts through minimization of cost in each supply chain activity to improve performance.

Abstract:
Purpose – The purpose of this thesis is to develop an understanding on how a crucial process can be identified and how to make it more efficient in order to increase delivery reliability to customer using the SCOR-model. To fulfil the purpose it has been broken down into three parts:Part 1: To map the current order flow with material flow and information flowPart 2: To evaluate the order flow using the SCOR-model and identify a crucial process in order to increase delivery reliability to customerPart 3: To analyze the crucial process using the SCOR-model and identify areas of improvement in order to increase delivery reliability to customerMethod – In order to meet the purpose of thesis, a case study has been conducted on Expedit AB. Literature studies were performed to create a theoretical framework. To gather empirical data, interviews, document studies and observations was conducted. To analyze the empirical findings pattern matching was used and also analyze tools such as flow mapping and cause-and-effect-diagram. The supply chain operations reference model calculations methods were used to make calculations.Findings – The first part of the purpose was accomplished through interviews, observations and was illustrated in a flow map. As a result of the evaluation of the order flow the purchasing process was identified as the crucial process. This conclusion was made since 55% of the deviations was related to the purchasing process. Five areas of improvement were identified within the crucial process was lack of communication, variations, lack of standards, incorrect order registration and external deviations. In order to handle problems related to lack of communication, variations, incorrect order registration and external deviations the SCOR-models purchasing practices were used. In order to handle problems related to lack of standards additional theories where used and by doing so the purpose could be fulfilled.Implications – This study has shown how a crucial process in an order flow can be identified and how to make it more efficient in order to increase delivery reliability to customer. The study has contributed to strengthening existing theories.Limitations – This case study only consist one case instead of several which would have increased the generalizability of the study. A majority of the conducted interviews are mostly based on supplementaries, this lower the reliability of the study since these questions are based on the respondents answers.

Abstract:
A poor delivery performance of machines and equipment creates problems throughout the supply chain for a construction project. If machines and equipment do not arrive in compliance with agreed upon time, it will cause downtime and delays at the construction site. The construction site will come to a standstill if not the right machines is at the right place, at the right time, in the right condition and in the right quantity. The purpose of the report is to identify which elements constitute the order process for rental of machines and equipment, as well as provide suggestions on how the elements can be improved to increase the reliability of deliveries to and from construction projects. With process mapping five elements of the order process have been identified, customer support, receiving of orders, processing of orders, deliveries and returns. To know the performance of the order fulfillment, measurements need to be introduced. Without metrics, it is difficult to know if machines and equipment arrive at the construction site correctly. Metrics also facilitate improvements in processes as it is possible to compare to previous measures to see if an improvement has been an improvement or just a change. If metrics on reliability from the Supply Chain Operations Reference Model is combined with practices and methods from Supply Chain Management the reliability of deliveries in the supply chain that supplies the construction industry with machines and equipment can be improved.

Abstract:

Abstract:
The construction industry is a business with an intense flow of both material and information that require well-functioning logistics in order to not suffer from unnecessarily high costs. Suppliers play a big part regarding the costs of the distribution and handling of material and due to this a construction project’s costs are affected a great deal by the suppliers’ actions. Spinnrocken is a construction project in the town center of Norrköping. The real estate company Fastighets AB L E Lundbergs is the client and the construction company Skanska is contracted as sole constructor for the project. Spinnrocken is planned to be finalized in the summer of 2014 and consists of several rental-apartments and some smaller businesses. Spinnrocken and its central location result in major logistic challenges, because of this Lundbergs and Skanska want to analyze and evaluate the project’s logistic performance. The main purpose of this thesis is to measure the order fulfillment of interior materials, the scaffold material Doka and windows at Spinnrocken by using the so-called perfect order fulfillment measure, as defined in Supply Chain Operations Reference Model. Perfect order fulfillment indicates the delivery performance to the construction site. The combined perfect order fulfillment for the three investigated materials is 18 %. A perfect order fulfillment of 18 % means that only one out of five inspected deliveries to Spinnrocken was considered having no faults at all. The effects of a low perfect order fulfillment are disruptions in the short-term time schedule, delayed operations, additional work and that the work space at the construction site is occupied by unnecessary construction material. The resulting effects thereby affects the project’s economy negatively.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is now prominent and evident more than ever due to the emphasis laid on businesses regarding environmental, social and ethical issues. Given a lack of studies that have explored the integration of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) management within supply chain operations reference (SCOR), the purpose of this study is to identify the discrepancies in how CSR management (CSRM) be incorporated into SCOR, including issues with the hierarchical representation of CSRM processes, metrics, best practices and skills. Analytical hierarchy analysis (AHP) was used to analyze the coverage and integration of CSRM within SCOR. Therefore, this research aims to establish a performance evaluation framework with application of SCOR model using AHP method for evaluating CSR performances in food supply chains and can enables companies to analyze and improve their supply chain CSR operations by linking business processes, performance metrics, practices and people skills into a unified structure. These may be potentially helpful for embedding CSRM processes within other SC processes, visualizing CSR performance metrics in a SC’s value hierarchy and integrating SCOR’s CSRM with organizational enterprise CSRM. Application of SCOR model in the development of a performance evaluation framework for CSRM in supply chains enables us to account for indirect relationships and the complex interactions existing among the CSR variables in supply chain.

Abstract:
AbstractThis chapter aims to identify the supply chain (SC) issues that can be considered “horizontal”, as they are cross–sectorial and faced by most companies operating both in production and distribution sectors, and to propose a set of policy recommendations that can support public and private organisations to promote and foster innovation and competitiveness of future European SCs. The definition of the Key Horizontal Issues (KHI) is the basis for developing 12 policy recommendations regarding infrastructure requirements, technological and organisational improvements and regulatory developments needed to set the stage for the European SCs for the future. Specifically, the policy recommendations entail assuring appropriate standards and legislation for European SCs; educating and training professionals for the future SCs; drafting of international agreements aiming at future European SCs; supporting and fostering incentives and funding schemes; promoting reference bodies for European SCs; and establishing infrastructure for fostering of future European SCs.

Abstract:
This paper examines creating a value chain in export honey from the Kyrgyz Republic. The annual production is 12,000 tons, 500 tons are exported. The Supply Chain Operation Reference (SCOR model) at three stages of optimization of honey production has been adapted. The following research methods were used: desk study, survey of producers and consumers, interviews with relevant organizations, personal observations retailers. At the initial stage of optimization, recommended to maintain planning of the number of bee colonies. How to effectively use natural resources for bee colonies - finding useful flora (a flowering mass of plants to collect nectar) and finding areas with the best climate (temperature, humidity, sunshine, air movement) are the objectives of action plan for interim stage. The natural mountain landscape, the sun, air, water give honey special qualities, therefore, at the final stage of market promotion, honey must acquire potential status as a unique product. For honey producers there are two optimal options for export. The first is the packaging of honey in a container of 0.1–0.2 l., and positioning it as an expensive premium product. High marketing costs are offset by high added value in the supply chain. The second is the delivery of honey in large containers of 20–30 l., for further packaging, already in the territory of the buyer. An attractive choice for honey producers with guaranteed product sales and high profitability of sales. Research results increase honey production up to 30% and export volume up to 7%.

Abstract:
Simulation is a very useful tool for predicting supply chain performance. Because there are no standard simulation elements that represent accurately the activities in a supply chain, there exist a variety of approaches for developing supply chain simulation models. To improve this situation, this paper describes a novel supply chain simulation framework that follows the Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) model. This framework has been used for building powerful simulation models that integrate discrete event simulation and spreadsheets. The simulation models are hierarchical and use submodels that capture activities specific to supply chains. The SCOR framework provides a basis for defining the level of detail in a way as to include as many features as possible, while not making them industry specific. This approach enables the reuse of submodels, which reduces development time. The paper describes the implementation of the simulation models and how the submodels interact during execution.

Abstract:
In any industry or organization, personnel training is emphasized with reference to National Regulatory Authorities (NRAs) guidelines and other globally accepted guidelines. In spite of many refresher training programs, the pharmaceutical industry still faces significant variations in individual/ team efficiency and productivity. Individuals/teams given the same task, SOPs, environment and materials continue to produce significantly different results reflecting the possibility of operating on different sets of theoretical and practical information, which may stem from differing trainer, training program or training method. This study focused on using a standardized manual for training two teams A and B involved in vaccine production, as a tool to increase employee efficiency, productivity and quality, at a Livestock vaccine manufacturing company, with an objective to shorten the supply chain of vaccines (starting with Newcastle disease vaccine I-2 strain) to improve product quality, availability and affordability up to rural household level and back yard farmers. Baseline data was collected from four pre-training production batches and compared with data collected from three post-training production batches. The results showed that a tailored standardized training was effective in achieving the same level of efficiency, regardless of how late or soon the member joined the facility, and who conducted the training. The process of training staff, using a company tailored standardized manual, was shown to be successful within this company’s set up and could potentially be applied to other industries that are struggling with implementation of uniform information to their staff.
