Abstract:

This paper discusses Karlstad’s sobriety committee view on the drinking as a societal problem during the period 1941–1950. The purpose of the study is to investigate how the sobriety committee in Karlstad saw drinking as a problem and what measures were put in place to deal with it between the years 1941–1950.The study used a qualitative research method, and the empirical material has consisted of Karlstad’s sobriety committee’s annual reports from the years 1941–1950. The material was read several times and sorted and reduced with the help of focused coding where clear problem areas, reasons behind the drinking and measures and their possible results were what was sought. The results were analyzed with the help of previous research and the theory of the actor and structure model.The results show in what way the drinking was considered problematic where the focus ended up on youth drunkenness and widespread illegal trade with alchohol. These two problems were also the clearest reasons for the city’s negative state of sobriety. Descriptions of the sobriety committee’s work and measures show a resignation. Using the actor and structure model, one sees how structures to curb drinking in the city emerged and were connected. One can find a problem with the social structures that the inhabitants grew up with contributed to increased drinking.

Abstract:

Pirmajame disertacijojos skyriuje analizuojama gyventi palanki būsto aplin-ka, „intelektinio būsto“, „sumanaus namo“ sampratos, nagrinėjamos intelektine gyventi palankia aplinka suinteresuotos grupės, esamos būsto problemos Lietu-voje ir užsienyje. Aptariama kompiuterinių technologijų, nanotechnologijų įtaka gyventi palankios aplinkos kūrimui. Akcentuojamas intelektinis aplinką tausojantis būstas, jo įgyvendinimo būdai ir priemonės. Apibendrinami atlikti moksliniai tyrinėjimai intelektinio būsto kūrimo srityje, nagrinėjami gyventi palankios aplinkos analizės modeliai. Antrajame skyriuje nagrinėjama integruotos intelektinės gyventi palankios aplinkos būsto modelio koncepcija. Pateikiamas ir detaliai analizuojamas integ-ruoto intelektinės gyventi palankios aplinkos būsto modelis, nagrinėjami modelį sudarantys elementai, mikro- ir makroaplinka, jos įtaka, paklausos ir pasiūlos charakteristikos, praktinės modelio realizavimo galimybės. Trečiajame skyriuje analizuojamas intelektinės gyvenamosios aplinkos variantinis projektavimas ir daugiakriterinė analizė. Apibendrinamas daugiakriterinei analizei reikalingų pradinių duomenų paruošimo procesas. Aprašomas auto-rės pasiūlytas intelektinės gyvenamosios aplinkos variantinio projektavimo ir daugiakriterinės analizės modelis, analizės atlikimo eiliškumas, pateikiamos skaičiuoti reikalingos formulės. The aim of the thesis is the evaluation and enhancement of the effectiveness of Intelligent Assisted Built Residential Environment through the application of the established Model of Intelligent Assisted Built Residential Environment (IABRE). This model is used to establish the Multi-criteria Decision Support System of Intelligent Assisted Built Residential Environment (MDSSIABRE), in which multi-criteria analysis and multi-criteria alternative design methods are used. In order to reach this aim, the following tasks must be solved: • Established models and intelligent systems are analysed in various countries. The experience of Lithuania and foreign countries is analysed in the establishment of ambient assisted living environment through the application of modern internet, intelligent and other technologies and innovations; • A Model of Intelligent Assisted Built Residential Environment is estab-lished (MIABRE); • The system of criteria is established, which describes IABRE in detail; • Data base is established, which describes IABRE in detail; • MDSSIABRE system is established on the basis of the Model of Intelli-gent Assisted Built Residential Environment; • Practical realisation of the established IABRE system is performed. Abstract:

Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM) is an equilibrium model to test relationship between expected return and market risk (Sharpe, 1964). The model research on pricing and return when the securities market reaches equilibrium and investors are rational and investing by diversification based on Markovitz portfolio theory (Markovitz, 1952). Fama and MacBeth (1973) proposed a cross-sectional testing methodology on CAPM and this regression method has been widely used in testing CAPM in developed markets since then. While CAPM is hard to explain more and more market anomalies (excessive return in smaller market value company) in cross section regression, Fama and French (1992) added two more factors (SMB and HML) and proposed three factor model. The empirical results show that three factor model is superior to CAPM in developed markets. Relevant studies have been conducted by Manjuunatha (2006) and Trimech et al. (2015) but show different results. This dissertation will use Fama-MacBeth cross section approach to test CAPM and Fama-French's three factor model in Chinese and Polish stock market respectively. Following Fama and MacBeth (1972) and Shweta and Anil (2015), three sub periods of Polish and Chinese stock market returns ranging from 2007 to 2018 are examined.
