Abstract:
The effectiveness of the Sunday school curriculum implementation carried out by GKI Elim Malanu Sunday School Teachers has not been able to answer the needs of children. Sunday School teachers only bring material from the context of the Bible without making efforts to contextualize the Word into real situations experienced by children, such as cyberbullying and violence. This is due to the limited time and knowledge of Sunday school teachers in implementing Sunday school lessons. The research method used by researchers in this study is the descriptive-qualitative research method. According to Creswell J. W. (2017), qualitative research is a study whose main focus is researching social and human problems. The data source is obtained from observing and analyzing objects while in the field, then described in a report using words and not numbers in detail. The effectiveness of the implementation of the implementation of the Sunday school curriculum for Sunday school teachers can be determined by following several important points, including: basic courses for Sunday school teachers; self-study at home; continuous lesson preparation; and getting support from the church and parents. Abstract:
Christianity in Indonesia can continue to thrive and grow as the church is constantly regenerating, a process that began with Sunday School. Sunday School is the church's primary means of educating the next generation of the church knowledge about Christ. However, there are still Sunday school teachers who do not take the significance of their position seriously. This cannot be separate from the lack of personality competence of Sunday school teachers; consequently, Sunday school teachers in Indonesia frequently disregard their personality competence. The significance of the personality competence of Sunday School teachers cannot be overstated. In 1 Timothy 3:1-7, it is elucidated that an elder who serves as a teacher must possess a personality that aligns with the requisite qualities of an elder. In this section, the writer performs a biblical analysis of 1 Timothy 3:1-7, identifying two distinct frameworks that outline the necessary competencies of an elder's personality. The aforementioned personality competencies encompass possessing a favourable disposition in one's surroundings as well as exhibiting a spiritually healthy personality. The personality competencies outlined have implications for Sunday school teachers in Indonesia. Specifically, it is recommended that Sunday school teachers possess a personality that aligns with both social norms and Christian values.

Abstract:
The purpose of this research is to identify and assess teaching patterns at the Kusala Citta Buddhist Sunday School. This style of investigation is qualitative with descriptive analysis. This study's data gathering methods included observation, interviews, and documentation. Five teachers of the Kusala Citta Buddhist Sunday School and three representatives of Kusala Citta Buddhist Sunday School students provided the data for this research. The findings of this research indicate that students are inactive participants in the learning process due to the low implementation of instructional patterns. At Kusala Citta Buddhist Sunday School, the traditional teaching pattern and the technological teaching pattern are often used as instructional strategies. In conducting the examination of teaching patterns at Kusala Citta Buddhist Sunday School, the significance of curricular guidance in the implementation of learning was determined. The curriculum is the teacher's primary instructional base. Before teaching, the teacher must create a Learning Implementation Plan to make it simpler for them to establish patterns, approaches, and strategies. Students become learning centers throughout the learning process so they may explore their potential, perfect their abilities, and communicate their views. In order to inspire Buddhist Sunday School students to think critically and prudently, teachers must be able to create an engaging learning environment. In developing instructional patterns, techniques, and strategies, teachers must be creative and imaginative.

Abstract:
Throughout the nineteenth century, the majority of children in Ontario received at least part of their education from the Sunday school. Much of this institution's success can be attributed to the dedication and commitment of its unpaid workforce. Sunday school teachers were expected to be virtuous, nurturing, moral and dutiful, and it is not surprising that this community of volunteers was made up almost entirely of women. Women's active participation in the Sunday school combined with its popularity made this religious and educational institution an important avenue in the (re)production of gender ideologies in nineteenth-century Ontario. This thesis examines how women Sunday school teachers were involved in establishing their own gender identity by consciously accepting and rejecting ideals of womanhood. It argues that the roles, responsibilities, experiences and opportunities that women had in the Sunday school community allowed them to define their own model of evangelical womanhood. Women reinforced this new ideal to their pupils, but their influence extended beyond their classrooms. They authored and distributed literature found in libraries, participated in conventions with diverse crowds and established important networks of Christian women who campaigned for women's rights within and outside of the church.

This chapter commends the work that Marie Stubbs did to improve the education and experience of St. George's students. It acknowledges how common violence against teachers, fights, confrontation, and disruptive behaviour was. However, Stubbs fervently worked on making the school more inclusive, welcoming, and bright for students who spoke many languages and came from different backgrounds. The chapter details how most of her staff quit after she organized a May ball in a top London hotel. Despite the successful event and work of Stubbs, the attitude of the Roman Catholic Diocesan Education Board ranged from neglect to downright hostility against the headmistress.

Abstract:
Chapter 5 describes the efforts of American missionaries in putting together a philosophy of education for the new institution they intended to create in India. Since their views, materials, and organizational model were borrowed from the American experience, the chapter first reviews the functioning of the Sunday school in America. Between 1827 and 1838, beginning in Massachusetts, public schools came to be secularized. With the teaching of the Bible effectively proscribed in public schools, the American Sunday School Union, organized in 1824 and supported by several Protestant denominations, found that by 1838, it was obliged to work outside of the public-school system. As an institution dedicated to Christian and moral education, and, around the time of the Civil War as a public counseling center, it enjoyed broad support. By 1872, American Sunday school leaders had created a bureaucratized organization patterned after the very secular forces they had fought, as well as an elaborate seven-year curriculum, the Uniform International Lesson System. American missionaries imported these into India. They soon found, however, that their system could not be implemented in toto in the Indian context given the “heathen” home backgrounds of Indian children and the absence of suitably trained teachers. The chapter discusses missionary thinking on reaching out to the youngest children, using the latest “universal,” “scientific,” child-education and teacher-training methods, and locating all that was “modern” in the Bible itself. Creating a “philosophy of childhood,” and an institution with “form and system,” Sunday school missionaries transformed themselves into professional educators.

Abstract:
New opportunities emerged in churches for women as volunteer district visitors, Sunday school teachers, and for poor women to be trained and employed as Bible and parish women, Bible-nurses, and elementary school teachers which broadened the sphere of women’s activities beyond their homes to their parishes. Some women also formed religious communities, initially relieving poverty, provide nursing care and education for poor children. Growing awareness of wider social issues, particularly in relation to poverty, led some middle- and upper-class women, motivated by faith, to begin to develop activities in a wider sphere, including improving conditions in workhouses and hospitals, and establishing ‘settlements’ and pioneering systematic ‘social work’ methods. Some women also began to undertake public ministries, notably in the Salvation Army, but also leading informal congregations. Women were also generous contributors to religious-based projects. Building on these experiences, religiously motivated women stood for election to public office as London School Board members, guardians of the poor and London County Councillors. Succeeding chapters show that women also played a significant part in faith-motivated philanthropic and educational initiatives.

Abstract:
Dr. Dorothy J. Phillips (Fig. 2.1) is a retired industrial chemist and a member of the Board of Directors of the ACS. Dorothy Jean Wingfield was born in Nashville, Tennessee on July 27, 1945, the third of eight children, five girls and three boys. She was the second girl and is very close to her older sister. Dorothy grew up in a multi- generational home as both her grandmothers often lived with them. Her father, Reverend Robert Cam Wingfield Sr., born in 1905, was a porter at the Greyhound Bus station and went to school in the evenings after he was called to the ministry. He was very active in his church as the superintendent of the Sunday school; he became a pastor after receiving an associate’s degree in theology and pastoral studies from the American Baptist Theological Seminary. Her mother, Rebecca Cooper Wingfield, occasionally did domestic work. On these occasions, Dorothy’s maternal grandmother would take care of the children. Dorothy’s mother was also very active in civic and school activities, attending the local meetings and conferences of the segregated Parent Teachers Association (PTA) called the Negro Parent Teachers Association or Colored PTA. For that reason, she was frequently at the schools to talk with her children’s teachers. She also worked on a social issue with the city to move people out of the dilapidated slum housing near the Capitol. The town built government subsidized housing to relocate people from homes which did not have indoor toilets and electricity. She was also active in her Baptist church as a Mother, or Deaconess, counseling young women, especially about her role as the minister’s wife. When Dorothy went to school in 1951, Nashville schools were segregated and African American children went to the schools in their neighborhoods. But Dorothy’s elementary, junior high, and high schools were segregated even though the family lived in a predominately white neighborhood. This was because around 1956, and after Rosa Park’s bus boycott in Montgomery, AL, her father, like other ministers, became more active in civil rights and one of his actions was to move to a predominately white neighborhood.

Abstract:
This chapter discusses the idea of leadership especially at schools from the Islamic perspective. It also highlights some strategies to become an effective principal who can lead effectively and be emulated by all school members. In every movement, word, and action, a good principal should uphold Islamic values which have been modelled by the Rasulullah SAW through his teachings and Sunnah. A good principal should have positive influence to all school members by encouraging them to move together developing the school. The roles of a school principal as a leader are very important especially in helping the school members improving the quality of education and shaping the religious characters of the school community. An effective principal is not only playing the roles of a successful teacher that can be emulated by others, but also as a leader who is respected for his leadership and good behaviours.

Abstract:
This chapter explores the varieties of early twentieth-century holiness teachings as they related to emerging fundamentalism. The Pentecostal movement, marked by the Azusa St. Revivals of 1906, grew from earlier holiness movements. Most emerging fundamentalist leaders rejected Pentecostalism in favor of Keswick holiness. Originating in England, Keswick teachings differed slightly from the Methodist holiness teachings. Reuben A. Torrey, a leading Keswick teacher and fundamentalist, attacked Pentecostalism. Keswick teachings became widespread through The Sunday School Times, edited by Charles Trumbull. Keswick teachings were also influential in inspiring foreign missions. B. B. Warfield of Princeton Theological Seminary criticized Keswick from a conservative Calvinist perspective.

Abstract:
There are 4 main points to be addressed clearly in abstract section: (1) background of research title, (2) research purpose, (3) research methodology, and (4) research result/contribution. Background section should be the shortest part of the abstract and should very briefly outline the following information: What is already known about the subject, related to the paper in question? What is not known about the subject and hence what the study intended to examine (or what the paper seeks to present - purpose). In most cases, the background can be framed in just 2–3 sentences, with each sentence describing a different aspect of the information referred to above. The purpose of the research, as the word itself indicates, is to provide the reader with a background to the study, and hence to smoothly lead into a description of the methods employed in the investigation. The methodology section is usually the second-longest section in the abstract. It should contain enough information to enable the reader to understand what was done, and important questions to which the methods section should provide brief answers. The results section is the most important part of the abstract and nothing should compromise its range and quality. The results section should therefore be the longest part of the abstract and should contain as much detail about the findings as the journal word count permits.
