Abstract:
In the paper there are emphasized problems connected with the use of diamond metal bond abrasive discs at the processing of hard alloys. The reasons of cutting capacity decrease are pointed out which limit a wide-spread use of a diamond metal bond tool. It is established that for the achievement of a required productivity and quality of ready products is possible at the expense of the application of electro-chemical and electro-physical methods of stropping and also due to the improvement of abrasive disc designs. This work reports the investigations of a cutting capacity of diamond discs at the working of hard alloys by a combined method of electro-chemical grinding with simultaneous continuous stropping. As an output parameter there was accepted a cutting capacity factor of a diamond which was assesses according to the changes in effective working capacity. On the basis of the results of the experimental data processed there were obtained theoretical models of the dependence of the cutting capacity factor upon electric and mechanical constituents of the modes of combined electro-chemical grinding. A complex of investigations directed to the detection of efficient modes ensuring the stability of cutting capacity in diamond metal bond discs is carried out. It is experimentally confirmed that the application of the method of combined electro-chemical grinding with the simultaneous continuous disc stropping at working hard alloy materials allows increasing diamond disc cutting capacity by 15% in comparison with other methods of the diamond working of such materials.

Abstract Date Presented 04/02/2022 The purpose of this study is to explore the feasibility and efficacy of the MusicGlove®, a wearable video game device for practicing repetitive pinching patterns, for children with cerebral palsy. Previously only used in adult stroke recovery, this study revealed improvements in children’s manual abilities and found that, according to participants, the MusicGlove was useful and enjoyable. These findings support the feasibility of the MusicGlove intervention for children with cerebral palsy. Abstract:
The problem of grinding process increase for machine parts surfaces can be solved by means of abrasive disks design updating, their composition and impregnation technologies. The structures of multiple grinding wheels containing rods in a basic abrasive mass including conducting elements are offered. Such disks allow increasing quality in surfaces machined of parts made of tough hardtomachine steel and alloys on the basis of nonferrous metals on indices of roughness, technological residual stresses and burns. High efficiency show multi-sector abrasive disks of different grain allowing the increase considerably the intensity of material removal at machining parts made of chro-mium-nickel steel and alloys. The effective composi-tions of abrasive masses are developed for tool manufacturing including the introduction in them highstrength ferritic iron, chromium diiodide and wood resin. Polishing tools made of abrasive mass have 1.5 –twice higher durability between stropping operations and ensure the decrease of burn areas quantity on ma-chined surfaces of parts 2-2.5 times. The promising direction of the efficiency increase in parts surface grinding is the impregnation of abrasive disks by an aqueous solution of chromium diiodide which possesses high anticeptic properties and at the iodine emission forms iron iodides with a low constant of friction. As a result of this the temperature drops in the grinding area by more than 30%.

Abstract:
Abstract Ion implantation has been widely used in biomaterials, alloys, and semiconductors modification. Basing on the studying of trapping states in the equilibrium state, we investigate the ultrafast carrier dynamics of SnSe/TiO2 and SnSe/Li/TiO2 heterojunctions under Li+ implantation by the real-time time-dependent density functional theory (RT-TDDFT). The special type II band alignment and Li+ interfacial states in SnSe/TiO2 heterojunction effectively facilitate the exciton dissociation in a benign process and suppresses the interfacial nonradiative recombination. By monitoring the instantaneous ion-solid interaction energy, electronic stropping power and the excitation electron evolution, we find that atomic reconstruction introduced by the Li inserting layer changes the charge density and crystal potential field in the injection channel, and thus weakens the violent oscillation force and electron excitation on the Ti and O atoms. There exists a weaker and shorter charge excitation at the interface for SnSe/Li/TiO2 implantation system, which suggests that the Li ion layer weakens the e-ph coupling between the interface electrons and the moving ion. Meanwhile, only the hot electrons are produced in the interface region, reducing the probability of carrier recombination. These results provide an understanding for the behavior of carriers in SnSe based heterojunctions and the electron-phonon coupling mechanism at the phase/grain boundary under ion implantation.

Abstract:
Zooarchaeological studies in the western Great Lakes region have noted increases in black bear (Ursus americanus) remains at Native sites after European contact. Researchers have attributed this to a loss of reverence for bears by Native hunters after the establishment of the European fur trade when bears were procured by Natives and Europeans for their hides, fat, and oil. A review of bear remains from more than thirty Precontact and Colonial period sites focuses on how the species was used over time by considering bear-to-cervid ratios, composition of bear skeletal portions, and presence of crania. A unique phenomenon is the discovery at several early Colonial period Native sites of more than 40 bear mandibles that were modified to function as stropping tools.
