Abstract:
Strajk studentów w Łodzi, który odbył się w dniach 21.01-18. 02. 1981, była jedną z najważniejszych imprez zwanych „karnawałem Solidarności”. W wyniku akcji protestacyjnej i negocjacji z komisją rządową zarejestrowano Niezależne Zrzeszenie Studentów, które miało zaledwie kilka miesięcy legalnej działalności, gdyż po wprowadzeniu stanu wojennego jako pierwsza organizacja została rozwiązana przez władze. Podczas strajku salezjanie z Duszpasterstwa Studenckiego „Węzeł” patronowali duszpasterstwu protestującej młodzieży. W opracowaniu przedstawiono ich zaangażowanie. Przedstawiono także edycje źródeł dokumentów, które dotychczas nigdzie nie były publikowane.

Abstract:
Artykuł przybliża sytuację ekonomiczno-społeczną, która przyczyniła się do powstania ruchu solidarnościowego. Skupia się przede wszystkim na działaniach zarządu NSZZ „Solidarność” w Biłgoraju. Autorka wykorzystała niepublikowane materiały źródłowe, przekazane Archiwum Państwowemu w Zamościu przez biłgorajskiego działacza solidarnościowego Mariana Jagusiewicza, także m.in. protokoły i informacje KW PZPR w Zamościu i KM PZPR w Biłgoraju. Pierwszy strajk w mieście przeprowadzili pracownicy biłgorajskiej filii Przedsiębiorstwa Transportowego Handlu Wewnętrznego (16–18 lipca 1980). Międzyzakładowy Komitet Regionalny NSZZ „Solidarność” Ziemi Biłgorajskiej założono 6 grudnia, pierwszy przewodniczący Janusz Różycki, od czerwca Jagusiewicz. Pierwsze Walne Zebrania Delegatów odbywały się w Zakładach Przemysłu Dziewiarskiego „Mewa”. Działacze zapewniali dostęp do prenumeraty „Tygodnika Solidarność”, otworzyli bibliotekę, organizowali zebrania zakładowe, strajki, spotkania z Miejską Radą Narodową, podejmowali interwencje w sklepach. Podlegali szykanom ze strony władz. Autorka przytacza wnioski i zalecenia przyjęte na II Walnym Zebraniu Delegatów. Działacze nie spodziewali się stanu wojennego. Po jego wprowadzeniu nieudane próby strajku podjęły załogi Zakładów Naprawy Samochodów i „Mewy”, jednak bezskutecznie. W okręgu biłgorajskim aresztowano 23 osoby. Siedziba biłgorajskiej „Solidarności” została zdewastowana przez bojówki wspierające ustrój.

Abstract:
Po wprowadzeniu stanu wojennego na terenie całej Polski wybuchły strajki. Kluczowym ośrodkiem oporu na Pomorzu Zachodnim i jednym z istotnych w skali kraju była kolebka szczecińskiej Solidarności – Stocznia im. Adolfa Warskiego. Na jej terenie po 13 grudnia 1981 roku ukonstytuował się Międzyzakładowy Komitet Strajkowy, któremu przewodzili Mieczysław Ustasiak i Andrzej Milczanowski. Władzom zależało na jak najszybszym stłumieniu protestów. W nocy z 14 na 15 grudnia do zakładu wkroczyły oddziały wojska i milicji; kilkadziesiąt osób zostało aresztowanych. Członkowie kierownictwa strajkowego zostali następnie postawieni przed sądem wojskowym w Bydgoszczy. W pokazowym procesie część z nich w marcu 1982 roku skazano na kary pozbawienia wolności (najwyższy wyrok opiewał na pięć lat) i praw publicznych. Strajk w stoczni, choć pozbawiony przywództwa, był kontynuowany w formie zmianowej do 18 grudnia, kiedy władze, nie mogąc poradzić sobie z rozwojem sytuacji, zawiesiły działalność zakładu oraz przystąpiły do zwolnień i weryfikacji załogi. Strike at the Szczecin Adolf Warski Shipyard after 13 December 1981 After martial law was imposed, strikes broke out all over Poland. The cradle of Solidarity in Szczecin—the Adolf Warski Shipyard, was the key centre of resistance in Western Pomerania and one of significance in all of Poland. After 13 December 1981, the Inter- -Enterprise Strike Committee was established there, spearheaded by Mieczysław Ustasiak and Andrzej Milczanowski. The authorities wanted to suppress the protests as quickly as possible. On the night of 14–15 December, army troops and police (MO) units entered the plant; several dozen people were arrested. The members of the strike leadership were subsequently brought before a military court in Bydgoszcz. In a show trial in March 1982, some of them were sentenced to imprisonment (the highest sentence was five years) and loss of civil rights. Although deprived of leadership, the strike at the Shipyard continued in shifts until 18 December, when the authorities, unable to cope with how the situation unfolded, suspended the plant’s operations and began to lay off and vet the workforce.

Abstract:
Strajk robotników w Stoczni Gdańskiej im. Lenina w sierpniu 1980 roku oprócz znacznego poparcia społecznego spotkał się z uznaniem, wsparciem oraz pomocą ze strony jedynej niezależnej od władz komunistycznych organizacji w PRL, Kościoła katolickiego. Wśród jego przedstawicieli nie zabrakło duchownych „zza klasztornej furty” – zakonników, których na terytorium diecezji gdańskiej nie brakowało. Gdańscy dominikanie, franciszkanie konwentualni, jezuici, pallotyni, reformaci, oblaci i wielu innych w różnym zakresie oraz stopniu zaangażowania włączyli się w działania na rzecz NSZZ „Solidarność”. Działania te dotyczyły związku zawodowego oraz rodzącego się przy Solidarności ruchu społecznego. Związek i ruch otrzymały wsparcie zakonników nie tylko poprzez opiekę duszpasterską, ale również przez organizowane na ich rzecz zbiórki pieniężne, współudział oraz organizację niezależnego życia artystycznego, pisarskiego, wydawniczego czy pomoc represjonowanym członkom Solidarności i ich rodzinom. Abstract Apart from considerable public support, the workers’ strike at the Lenin Gdańsk Shipyard in August 1980 received recognition and help from the only organization independent of the communist authorities in the Polish People’s Republic: the Catholic Church. Among its representatives there were some monastery clergymen – monks, of whom there were quite a few in the Gdańsk diocese. Dominican friars of Gdańsk, Conventual Franciscans, Jesuits, Pallottines, Reformists, Oblates and many others joined the activities of NSZZ (Independent Self-Governing Trade Union) “Solidarity” and were involved in one way or another. Their activities concentrated on the trade union and the social movement that was emerging around “Solidarity”. The union and the movement received the support of the monks not only through pastoral care, but also through fundraising, organization, and participation in independent artistic, writing and publishing life, as well as through the help given to the repressed members of “Solidarity” and their families.

Abstract:
Artykuł stanowi prezentację badań przeprowadzonych nad drukami ulotnymi wytworzonymi na terenie Stoczni Gdańskiej im. Lenina podczas strajku sierpniowego w 1980 roku przez Międzyzakładowy Komitet Strajkowy w Gdańsku. Okres, w którym zostały wytworzone materiały objęte badaniami, był przełomowy. Z powodu wprowadzonych przez rząd podwyżek cen mięsa i wędlin latem 1980 roku w Polsce wybuchły strajki, które doprowadziły do powstania NSZZ „Solidarność”. W przekazie Międzyzakładowego Komitetu Strajkowego do osób strajkujących oraz popierających strajk istotną rolę pełniły komunikaty i oświadczenia wydawane i kolportowane w postaci niewielkich rozmiarów druków ulotnych przybierających różnorakie formy. Wiele z nich znajduje się dziś w Archiwum Historycznym Komisji Krajowej NSZZ „Solidarność”. Odpowiednio uporządkowane tworzą swoiste kalendarium Sierpnia ’80. Ulotki, które rozprowadzane były podczas strajku sierpniowego, informowały o najważniejszych żądaniach strajkujących załóg zakładów pracy i przedsiębiorstw reprezentowanych przez MKS, konieczności kontynuowania strajku czy kontaktach z Komisją Rządową.

Abstract:
Podmiotowość polityczna pierwszej Solidarności znacząco ewoluowała w okresie między strajkami lata 1980 roku ogłoszonym 13 grudnia 1981 roku stanem wojennym. Na poziomie artykulacyjnym nastąpiło przejście od fazy suplik poprzez zagregowane postulaty do dojrzałego narodowego programu politycznego. Strajki okupacyjne stały się podstawą trwałego potencjału samoorganizacyjnego narodu polskiego. Nie osiągnięto jednak poziomu wielowymiarowości organizacyjnej. Potencjał mobilizacyjny rósł od lipca 1980 roku aż do strajku generalnego, po czym zaczął systematycznie spadać. Podpisanie porozumień oznaczało pisemną akceptację istnienia odrębnego podmiotu społecznego przez dotychczasowego monopolistę (partię rządzącą). Było to świadectwem uzyskania statusowego awansu społecznego. To formalne uznanie nie było bezwarunkowe i zostało ostatecznie zanegowane poprzez wprowadzenie stanu wojennego. Znaczna część środowisk robotniczych, studenckich rolniczych osiągnęła trwałą podmiotowość polityczną na poziomie podstawowym. Political subjectivity of first “Solidarity” The political subjectivity of the first “Solidarity” evolved significantly in the period between the strikes in the summer of 1980 and the martial law announced on December 13, 1981. At the articulation level, there was transition from the supplication stage through aggregated postulates to the mature political program of nation. Occupation strikes became the basis for the Polish nation’s lasting potential of the self-organization. However, the level of organizational multidimensionality was not achieved. The mobilization potential grew from July 1980 until the general warning strike, and then began to systematically decline. The signing of the agreements meant written acceptance of the existence of separate social entity by the former monopolist (ruling party). It was to obtain collective status benefits. This formal recognition was not unconditional and was finally denied by the imposition of martial law. Significant part of the working, student and agricultural circles achieved the level of political subjectivity at the basic level.

Prezentowany tekst stanowi edycję źródeł zatytułowanych „Mój sierpień ’80. Pamiętne lato” oraz „Mój Sierpień „80”. Powyższe materiały nadesłano na konkurs zorganizowany w 1981 roku przez Oddział Gdański Polskiego Towarzystwa Socjologicznego poświęcony relacjom z protestu, który wybuchł na Wybrzeżu latem 1980 roku. Edycji dokonano na podstawie instrukcji wydawniczej Janusza Tandeckiego oraz Krzysztofa Kopińskiego pod tytułem „Edytorstwo źródeł historycznych”. Tekst opatrzono wstępem, w którym przedstawiono najważniejsze informacje dotyczące sierpniowej fali sprzeciwu. Cel prezentowanych edycji stanowi ukazanie wspomnień Haliny Pawłowskiej oraz Marty Wiśniewskiej, które stanowią źródło do badań nad historią wydarzeń Grudnia ’70 i strajku sierpniowego. Przedstawione relacje, widziane w perspektywie kobiet przybyłych na Wybrzeże ze stolicy kraju, ukazują odmienne niż powszechnie prezentowane w literaturze przedmiotu spojrzenie na wydarzenia mające miejsce w Trójmieście.

Prispevek obravnava razvoj in organiziranost strank marksističnega idejnopolitičnega tabora v času habsburške monarhije, ko je na Slovenskem leta 1896 ustanovljena prva delavska stranka marksistične smeri (Jugoslovanska socialnodemokratska stranka), ter v času Kraljevine SHS/Jugoslavije do začetka druge svetovne vojne. Razčlenjuje pestro strankarsko podobo, ki je nastala z letom 1920, ko se je socialnodemokratska stranka kot dotedanji edini politični predstavnik delavstva marksistične smeri razcepila na radikalno/komunistično in reformno/socialnodemokratsko stranko; obe sta se nato vključili v ustrezni jugoslovanski stranki, tj. v Komunistično stranko Jugoslavije oziroma Socialistično stranko Jugoslavije. Opozarja na pojav frakcij znotraj obeh strank, na metode in pogoje delovanja komunistov po oblastni prepovedi komunistične stranke leta 1921 in metode delovanja socialistov po prepovedi socialistične stranke z uvedbo kraljeve diktature januarja 1929. Moč in družbeni vpliv strank ponazarja z rezultati na volitvah v predstavniške organe ter s številom strankarsko povezanih članov. Navaja glavna strankarska glasila in vodilne osebnosti.

Świadek historii przywołuje wydarzenia, które miały miejsce we wrocławskiej Zajezdni autobusowej nr VII w sierpniu 1980 r. To ciekawe źródło informacji o nastrojach strajkujących, w tym o współpracy robotników i wspierających ich działaczy opozycyjnych, a także o funkcjonowaniu podziemnej drukarni i znaczeniu fali sierpniowych strajków dla przemian demokratycznych, które miały nastąpić później w Polsce.

Abstract:
During his short life, the Italian anti-fascist intellectual Piero Gobetti (1901–1926) was able to accomplish the incredible. He was the founder, editor and author of three magazines (Energie nove, 1918; La rivoluzione liberale, 1922; Il Baretti, 1924); he managed his own publishing house (Piero Gobetti edizioni), in which 114 volumes were published in 4 years; wrote books, articles, was a translator from russian. In Italy, they recognize his importance as one of the main distributors of Russian culture in Turin in the 1920s. In Russia, they are almost unfamiliar with the publications of P. Gobetti, even with his repeatedly reprinted work entitled «The Paradox of the Russian Spirit» (1926). In this article we try to consider the general cultural aspects and paradoxes of the time and place of this study's appearance in the context of the change of epochs, intellectual movements of those years and in the Italian national context. Looking ahead, we can say that the book, conceived as an analysis of the revolutionary ideology's movement in Russia, or at least it is completed chapters, turned out to be a text about Russian culture, or even, according to Vittorio Strada, about the specific role of the russian «intelligentsia». For a better understanding of the views of P. Gobetti, this issue also provides a translation of his essay «Dostoevsky as a classic and mystic of Russian literature», published in 1921.

Instytut Historyczny (IH) Uniwersytetu Łódzkiego został utworzony 24 czerwca 1948 r. Pierwsze lata jego działalności przypadły na okres stalinizmu. Kadra i studenci zostali wtedy poddani propagandzie i byli angażowani w różne akcje polityczne, a badaniom i dydaktyce narzucono metodologię marksistowsko-leninowską. Swój sprzeciw wobec tych praktyk studenci IH wyrazili w 1956 r. i dlatego w kolejnych latach nastąpiło wiele korzystnych zmian. Jedną z nich była możliwość wyjazdów pracowników do archiwów i bibliotek w krajach zachodnich. Niestety w 1968 r. Instytut doświadczył wielu politycznych wstrząsów. Następstwem uruchomionej wtedy kampanii antysemickiej było zwolnienie z pracy i wyjazd z Polski czterech pracowników IH. W kolejnych latach funkcjonowanie Instytutu i życie studentów ponownie poddano silnej presji politycznej. Jej wyrazem były np. obowiązkowe praktyki robotnicze dla studentów I roku. Dopiero gdy w 1980 r. powstał Niezależny Samorządny Związek Zawodowy „Solidarność” w Instytucie sytuacja się zmieniła. Studenci i pracownicy zaczęli walczyć o swoje interesy. Ci pierwsi uczestniczyli nawet w trwającym blisko miesiąc strajku okupacyjnym (styczeń–luty 1981 r.). Po wprowadzeniu stanu wojennego dwóch studentów zostało internowanych, poza tym pracownikom i studentom zabroniono prowadzenia wszelkiej niezależnej działalności. Niektórzy z nich podjęli jednak aktywność w podziemiu. Jawna działalność niezależna została na nowo podjęta dopiero w maju 1988 r. Powstał wtedy w IH samorząd studencki. Studenci i pracownicy włączyli się też w przemiany, które nastąpiły w 1989 r. Jeden z adiunktów został nawet posłem na Sejm (tzw. Sejm kontraktowy).

Slovenska ljudska stranka je v organizacijskem pogledu posebej zanimiva, saj je od nastanka političnih strank na Slovenskem v devetdesetih letih 19. stoletja do izbruha druge svetovne vojne v Jugoslaviji imela največjo podporo volilnega telesa in pogosto oblikovala ključne politične odločitve za ta prostor. Vprašanje njene organiziranosti je po avtorjevem mnenju vsaj enako važno za razumevanje njene politike kakor idejno-politični profil in program. Pri analizi organizacijskih vprašanj in zelo razvejane mreže vsevrstnih organizacij SLS metodološko sledi strukturi treh področij, na katerih je tedaj slonela sleherna stranka; loči profesionalno področje, kamor šteje osrednjo strankarsko organizacijo s tajništvom in ožjim vodstvom, neprofesionalno, kamor uvršča številne nepolitične organizacije (društva, finančne ustanove, medije), in parlamentarno, kamor šteje strankin poslanski klub in ministre.

A relatively complete section of Eocene (∼33.9-55.8 Ma) pelagic chalk from offshore northwestern Australia was used to analyze range and abundance data of ∼250 Eocene species to test the efficacy of the existing CP (Okada and Bukry 1980) and NP (Martini 1971) biostratigraphic zonation schemes. Changes in nannofossil diversity, abundance, and community structure were monitored through several Eocene paleoenvironmental events, as identified by changes in δ 13C and δ 18O data, to examine variations in surface water conditions. Major changes in nannofossil assemblages, as indicated by dominance crossovers, correspond to paleoenvironmental shifts such as the PETM (Paleocene-Eocene thermal maximum) and the EECO (Early Eocene climatic optimum). This research also provides systematic paleontology and range data for one new genus (Hexadelus) and eight new species or variants (Calcidiscus ellipticus, Cruciplacolithus nebulosus, Cruciplacolithus opacus, Cyclicargolithus parvus, Hexadelus archus, Hayella situliformis var. ovata, Markalius latus, Pedinocyclus annulus) and addresses several taxonomic issues in other Eocene species.

Razprava obravnava problematiko Narodnega sveta za Slovenijo, ki je bil na predlog bana Dravske banovine, dr. Marka Natlačena ustanovljen ob napadu sil osi na Jugoslavijo 6. aprila 1941. V njem so bili zastopani predstavniki predvojnih političnih strank z izjemo komunistov. Ustanovitev Narodnega sveta za Slovenijo z jugoslovansko ustavo ni bila predvidena in je šlo za protizakonito, ad hoc oblikovano telo. Naročilo strankarskim sodelavcem, da naj ob predvidenem napadu sil osi na Jugoslavijo ustanovijo Narodni svet za Slovenijo, po zgledu na enako telo iz leta 1918, ki je urejalo slovenske interese ob razpadanju habsburške monarhije, je sporočil načelnik SLS, Fran Kulovec. Ta je prav s tem namenom prišel 3. aprila 1941 v Ljubljano ter se takoj nato vrnil v Beograd, kjer je kot minister še sodeloval v Simovićevo vladi. Do ideje o ustanovitvi Narodnega sveta je Kulovec prišel na podlagi informacij, ki jih dobil v Beogradu, da po nemškemu napadu,, Jugoslavija kot država ne bo več obstajala. Na njenih ruševinah naj bi nastala hrvaška država, pa tudi »Slovenija bo najverjetneje postala neke vrste nemški protektorat«. Prav za uresničitev takšne rešitve, to je vzpostavitve slovenske države pod protektoratom nacistične Nemčije, je bil nato 6. aprila 1941 ustanovljen Narodni svet za Slovenijo. Takšna odločitev je pomenila, da je slovenska politična elita povezala svoj obstoj z usodo sil osi v vojni. Pri takšni opredelitvi so nosilci oblasti v Dravski banovini izhajali iz prepričanja, da bodo v svetovnem spopadu zmagale sile osi. Po vesti, da je bila v Zagrebu 10. aprila 1941 proglašena NDH, je Narodni svet prevzel vrhovno oblast in s tem namenom začel pogovore s predstavniki jugoslovanske vojske v Dravski banovini o njihovi podreditvi Narodnemu svetu, ki pa niso bili uspešni. Tudi nadaljnja prizadevanja Narodnega sveta za uveljavitev suverenosti in njeno priznanje s strani Hitlerja, niso obrodila sadov, ker jim ni uspelo nit priti v stik z nemško vlado v Berlinu. Po prihodu italijanske vojske v Ljubljano, je predsednik Narodnega sveta za Slovenijo Natlačen 17. aprila 1941 izročil upravo civilnemu predstavniku italijanske vojaške uprave Tako se je tudi povsem izčrpala njegova »zgodovinska« vloga, ki mu jo je namenil načelnik SLS Kulovec 3. aprila 1941, ko je strankarskim somišljenikom naročil ustanovitev Narodnega sveta za Slovenijo.

Despite the biostratigraphic and chronostratigraphic importance of the Globigerinoides trilobus-Praeorbulina evolutionary lineage in the upper Burdigalian to Langhian interval, some uncertainties concern the taxonomic interpretation of the intermediate stages of this lineage, in particular the generic attribution of the species sicanus De Stefani 1952 and its relationship with Globigerinoides bisphericus Todd 1954 and Praeorbulina glomerosa curva (Blow 1956). In this study, we present: 1) a review of the intermediate stages of the Globigerinoides trilobus-Praeorbulina evolutionary lineage focussing on the different taxonomic concepts of the species bisphericus, sicanus and glomerosa curva which according to Blow (1956; 1969) and Jenkins et al. (1981) gave rise to two different lines of evolution, and 2) our concepts based on the study of assemblages from several Mediterranean successions which have been compared with those of mid- and low-latitude Atlantic Ocean. On the basis of several diagnostic characters, we identified three morphotypes (Morphotypes 1, 2 and 3) within the populations transitional from G. trilobus to Praeorbulina. In our assemblages, Morphotype 3 and Morphotype 2 are the most representative ones and are considered as Globigerinoides sicanus sensu Blow (1956; 1969) and Kennett and Srinivasan (1983) and as a variant of G. sicanus, respectively. In fact, the taxonomic concepts of Blow, which take both the population variability and the gradual stratigraphic evolution of the biocharacters into account, can be better applied to our assemblages than those of Jenkins et al. (1981), which are mainly based on the characteristics of the holotypes without considering the variability of the species. Accordingly, the evolution of Praeorbulina via G. sicanus (senior synonym of G. bisphericus) proposed by Blow (1956; 1969) can be followed in the studied assemblages and the Praeorbulina datum is represented by the first appearance of P. glomerosa curva. On the basis of our data the evolution of P. glomerosa curva from G. sicanus lasts more than one myr. The main evolutionary changes within G. sicanus populations leading to Praeorbulina are the appearance of specimens with three apertures and the gradual increase in the outline sphericity. Near-spherical individuals of G. sicanus with three apertures can be considered very close to P. glomerosa curva, which in turn is characterized by a spherical outline, at least four apertures with the primary aperture nearly undistinguishable from the supplementary ones and a close umbilicus. Ultimately, our re-examination of the intermediate stages between G. trilobus and Praeorbulina results in a re-evaluation of the evolution proposed by Blow (1956; 1969) with significant bio- and chronostratigraphic implications.

We present the results of a principal-components analysis of the Personality Adjective Check List (PACL) at the item level, rather than at the scale level. The PACL was constructed by Strack (1987) to evaluate the personality scales proposed by Millon (1981). Data were obtained from a sample of normal adolescents. A scree test was applied to determine the number of factors to be extracted, and the retained factors were then rotated using a varimax procedure. Using the data from this second analysis, congruence coefficients were calculated by correlating the factor weights from the two analyses of men and women. Results reveal the existence in the whole sample of five unipolar personality factors, which we have called: Aggressive, Conscientious, Inhibited, Impulsive and Gregarious. These are not similar to those obtained from a sample of normal adults.

The article is a collection of reports of the participants of the strike in 1980 at the «Morena» Clothing Industry Plant in Bartoszyce. They striked not only for higher wages and the improvement of their living conditions, but also for dignity. The communists did everything possible to block the strike action. Various provocations were made, including several attempts to poison the strikers. Despite this, the strike was successful, and the Independent Self-Governing Trade Union «Solidarity» was established in «Morena». However, after the introduction of martial law, the participants, and especially the strike leaders, were persecuted for many years. The author provided an insightful commentary on the published memoirs.

Jana Plewińskiego (1898–1970) zaliczyć można do grona najwybitniejszych w dziejach najnowszych działaczy ludowych ziemi sieradzkiej. Obecnie jednak jest raczej mało znany, jakby zapomniany. Od 1919 r. działał w ruchu ludowym w kole młodzieży swojej rodzinnej wsi Strzałki (gmina Majaczewice). Od 1923 r. związał się z PSL „Wyzwolenie”, a od 1931 r. działał w Stronnictwie Ludowym (SL), w którym wtedy skupili się członkowie trzech dotąd samodzielnie funkcjonujących ugrupowań chłopskich. Najsilniejszą pozycję Plewiński wypracował sobie w latach 30. XX w., zarówno w SL jak i ZMW RP „Wici”. Od 1934 r. wchodził w skład Zarządu Powiatowego SL, w rok później objął funkcję sekretarza powiatowego i piastował ją do wybuchu II wojny światowej. W 1936 r. wybrany został do Zarządu Wojewódzkiego SL w Łodzi. W latach 1935–1936 stał na czele powiatowych struktur ZMW RP „Wici”. W latach 1936–1938 był członkiem Zarządu Wojewódzkiego tej organizacji. Był związany ze środowiskiem młodych, radykalnych działaczy ludowych, którzy skupili się wokół wydawanego wpierw w Poznaniu, a następnie w Łodzi czasopisma „Chłopskie Życie Gospodarcze”. Był cenionym prelegentem i często występował na różnych zgromadzeniach publicznych organizowanych przez sieradzki ruch ludowy. Współorganizował wielki strajk chłopski w 1937 r. Za swą działalność przeciw władzy sanacyjnej był w okresie Drugiej Rzeczypospolitej kilkakrotnie więziony. Na początku okupacji hitlerowskiej (listopad–grudzień 1939) znalazł się w sieradzkim więzieniu (w ramach antypolskich represji okupanta). Po ucieczce z więzienia włączył się aktywnie w tworzenie struktur konspiracji ludowej. Należał do kierownictwa lokalnego tej konspiracji (wchodził w skład „trójki” a następnie „piątki” powiatowej SL „Roch”, w latach 1944–1945 – po aresztowaniu Adama Banacha stanął na czele konspiracji ludowej powiatu sieradzkiego). Był także żołnierzem „Chłostry”, a od 1941 r. Batalionów Chłopskich. Jego działalność w latach 1945–1972 w ruchu ludowym (w SL, PSL, ZSL) szerzej opisuję w szkicu biograficznym zamieszczonym w numerze 37 (2021) „Rocznika Historycznego Muzeum Historii Polskiego Ruchu Ludowego” w Warszawie.

El periodo 1977-1981 constituye uno de los más importantes en la historia del Ministerio de Trabajo (MT). En lo político, el MT fue agente de primer orden, tanto en la recuperación de las libertades en las relaciones laborales, como en la restauración de la democracia en España. El MT conocerá el final de la transición política, siendo testigo de eventos tan importantes como las primeras elecciones democráticas (1977) y la aprobación de la Constitución, 1978. En suma, el MT será un agente relevante en la creación y constitución del Estado Social y Democrático. En segundo lugar, también será notorio el alcance orgánico y funcional del MT. Destaquemos la constitución en 1978 del Instituto Nacional de Empleo, atribuyendo al MT el conjunto de funciones de las políticas de empleo. Finalmente, una notable trascendencia tuvo la vertiente legislativa en materia laboral. Con anterioridad a la Constitución, el MT va a ser activo motor de la restauración en España de las libertades democráticas en el ámbito de las relaciones laborales: ratificación por España de los Convenios 87 y 98 de la OIT, reconocimiento del derecho de huelga y, en fin, consagración de las libertades de asociación empresarial y de los trabajadores. Y ya en periodo constitucional, el Estatuto de los trabajadores, 1980, que, sin perjuicio de sus múltiples modificaciones, sigue constituyendo la norma laboral básica del sistema jurídico español.

Abstract:
The subject of this research are the circumstances that led to the establishment of the Serbian State Guard, a collaborationist formation created in early March 1942 in occupied Serbia, and its organization, as well. It arose from the need of the occupiers and collaborators for a stronger and more organized unit that would more successfully oppose the insurgent forces in the territory of Serbia. Formed on the basis of the pre-war gendarmerie, in the specific conditions of the war chaos in Serbia, it retained its primary police character, although it could establish larger and more mobile military formations if necessary. The first initiative came from the collaborationist government. The information about the new formation appeared in the daily press as early as the beginning of January, and the organization was completed in February 1942. Although there were other ideas for the name (Serbian State Police, Serbian National Guard) at meetings with General Milan Nedić, it was agreed to name the new formation Serbian State Guard. The decree on the organization was published on March 3, 1942. According to that decree, the SDS was defined as a uniformed and armed troop performing the police executive and border service. It included members of the former gendarmerie, police guards, armed detachments and border financial control bodies. Members of the SDS were in the service of the Ministry of the Interior. The Serbian State Guard was divided into: 1) the City State Guard, which served in Belgrade and other cities, 2) the Field State Guard, which served in the entire territory of the country except in the areas of city guards and 3) the Border Guard, which performed the border service. In the territory of the City of Belgrade, as a special unit that was directly subordinated to the Governor of the City of Belgrade, the service was performed by the Serbian State Guard of the Administration of the City of Belgrade. The SDS was led by the commander, who together with the headquarters formed the SDS Command. Members had to meet certain conditions regarding height, age, literacy, etc. Primarily, the material stored in the Military Archive in Belgrade was used, mainly the" Nedić Archive" fund, as well as the corresponding published material, literature and periodicals.

La necessità di ampliare il suo raggio d’azione, esprimere concetti complessi attraverso la sua arte, trovare la strada della descrizione della realtà e dare vita ad un percorso artistico piú completo portano Daniele a calarsi sempre più spesso nei panni del pittore. Partendo dagli acquerelli, dal paesaggio al ritratto, ed approdato infine all'olio, la sua arte è una personale lettura della complessità del mondo.

Le esigenze verso i candidati al noviziato non si cambiano da quasi 30 anni. Listruzione sulla formazione religiosa Potissimum institutioni (1990) e il Codice del Diritto Canonico (1983) ripetono quello che dice l’istrizione Renovationis causam (1969) per quando riguarda i candidati. Sembra che il più grande cambiamento riguardi gli stessi giovani. È sempre più difficile trovare dei candidati con un sufficente grado di maturità umana e cristiana, consapevoli della loro vocazione alla vita consacrata, fedeli a questa chiamata. Per prepararli bene al noviziato non esiste l’unica e chiara strada. Certo, bisogna prendere in considerazione le esigenze nominate in questo articolo cioè: la giusta intenzione di abbracciare la vita consacrata in un istituto religioso, il grado di maturità umana e christiana, l’equilibrio dell’affettività, la salute fisica e psichica, la capacità di vivere in comunità, pero la strada giusta si apre camminando. Sia candidati sia che i responsabili per loro devono con passione e pazienza ascoltare la voce dello Spirito Santo nella vita quotidiana per riconoscere la vocazione dei giovani.

Artykuł przedstawia sytuację, w jakiej znalazł się teatr polski i ludzie teatru w czasie sowieckiej okupacji Lwowa w latach 1939–1941. Władza sowiecka dążyła do dyskredytacji polskiej kultury narodowej, odcinając ją od korzeni i próbując zbudować, nową, obcą narodowej tradycji, polską kulturę radziecką. Teatr polski został tym samym właczony do poczynań propagandowych, zgodnych z celami okupującego go państwa. Reżim sowiecki zastawił na polskich artystów zręczną pułapkę. Z jednej strony wzbudzał strach, stosując represje wobec wszystkich Polaków, z drugiej — otaczał ludzi teatru względnym parawanem bezpieczeństwa, traktując liberalniej niż pozostałych mieszkańców. W artykule zostały przedstawione różne postawy ludzi teatru: od skrajnie oportunistycznych, poprzez bierne uczestnictwo w działaniach propagandowych, aż po heroiczne próby przeciwstawienia się okupantowi. Te ostatnie były charakterystyczne dla inicjatyw konspiracyjnych, organizowanych najczęściej w lwowskich kościołach katolickich. W artykule uwzględniona została zarówno działalność teatrów profesjonalnych, jak i amatorskich.

Abstract:
The science of Stratigraphy has, since its inception in the late eighteenth century, been characterized by two contrasting research modes or "cognitive styles" (Rudwick 1982). Empirical (inductive) descriptive stratigraphy began with William Smith, led to the establishment of a data base of stratigraphic units (Murchison, Sedgwick, Lapworth), and formed the basis for modern work to establish and refine a detailed chronostratigraphic time scale (Van Hinte, Berggren). Other workers (Hutton, Lyell, Darwin, Chamberlin, Ulrich, Umbgrove, Sloss, Vail) have sought to identify underlying geological controls, and have built deductive models to explain earth processes, beginning with Hutton's uniformitarianism. Many such models sought evidence of regularity or cyclicity in earth processes ("the pulse of the earth"), including the modern "global-eustasy" model of Vail. There is an ever present danger that models can drive the analysis and presentation of data, particularly where stratigraphic models have been invoked to explain, clarify or codify the stratigraphic record. These problems are not new. Attempts to apply European chronostratigraphic units to North American stratigraphy in the early twentieth century were accompanied by expectations that unit boundaries would be marked by lithologic events, such as unconformities. These expectations were not supported, and this may have been the basis for North American attempts to establish alternative stratigraphies, including what became sequence stratigraphy. Ulrich (1911) thought that stratigraphic successions were created by "diastrophic cycles", and was concerned that regional correlations of these successions did not appear to be supported by the biostratigraphic evidence. Barrell (1917) was one of the first to understand the problems created by the lack of representation of long intervals of time in the geologic record, and developed ideas concerning the relationship between base level change and sedimentation that we now term �accommodation.” Modern work on the chronostratigraphic time scale is based on empirical principles, culminating in the definition of global section and boundary stratotypes for the major chronostratigraphic units. However, a controversy has recently arisen over the preference by some geologists to use distinctive marker events to define boundaries. In some cases, this involves introducing hypotheses about the global extent and geological superiority of such events, rather than relying on the accumulated historical record of biostratigraphic and other data.
