Abstract:
In this paper we determine the inelastic contribution to the energy losses by swift heavy ions in dense matter. At equilibrium, the charge transfer stopping is determined by a simple energy balance and the excitation stopping is determined by the photons emission. Using an average atom model, we determine the density influence on these inelastic stoppings.

Abstract:
Pendahuluan: Minuman Keras banyak menimbulkan masalah.

Abstract:
The work highlights one of the most important aspects of machinery safety, which is stopping. Due to their specificity, the Machinery Directive distinguishes two stopping modes: normal (technological) and emergency, and separate disconnection from the power supply. There are functional dependencies between them, and each of them has specific features that must be known to the designer of each machine in order to meet the essential safety requirements.

Abstract:
We consider the extension of optimal stopping problems to non-zero-sum strategic settings called stopping games. By imposing a monotone structure on the pay-offs of the game we establish the existence of a Nash equilibrium in non-randomized stopping times. As a corollary, we identify a class of games for which there are Nash equilibria in myopic stopping times. These games satisfy the strategic equivalent of the classical ‘monotone case' assumptions of the optimal stopping problem.

Abstract:
In this paper we solve the hedge fund manager's optimization problem in a model that allows for investors to enter and leave the fund over time depending on its performance. The manager's payoff at the end of the year will then depend not just on the terminal value of the fund level, but also on the lowest and the highest value reached over that time. We establish equivalence to an optimal stopping problem for Brownian motion; by approximating this problem with the corresponding optimal stopping problem for a random walk we are led to a simple and efficient numerical scheme to find the solution, which we then illustrate with some examples.
